This is a star hydrangea flower, handmade in pure silver. I purchased a small plant for my mother many years ago and it has become a rather glorious bush with beautiful white and pale blue flowers. I wrapped the flower with a lovely blue-purple faceted iolite stone, somewhat reminiscent of the flowers.

I couldn't very well create a Myths & Legends update without including a symbol of one of mythology's most iconic creatures, and one of my favourite designs to make, the dragon’s egg. Dragons have been woven into mythologies around the world, but I have included them with my Greek myths, owing to the etymological origin of the word coming from the Ancient Greek word drákōn, or the Latin draconem. Dragons have spread their wings throughout European and Asian stories for thousands of years, and they continue thriving in contemporary fantasy. This versatile creature is one that humans have heartily wanted to believe in since their origins, creating versions that are deadly, magical, spiritual, and all of the above.
