The surprising thing about this report isn’t that some Trump flunky advised Cassidy Hutchinson to perjure herself by giving false testimony to the House January 6th Committee. I mean, lies and illegality are what the Trump administration was all about – right?

The genuinely astonishing thing, at least to me, is that Trump had somebody on his White House staff whose job was “ethics attorney”. That's as incongruous as the late Colonel Sanders having an organic vegan specialist on the senior staff at KFC. 

Though the committee declined to identify the people, CNN has learned that Stefan Passantino, the top ethics attorney in the Trump White House, is the lawyer who allegedly advised his then-client, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, to tell the committee that she did not recall details that she did, sources familiar with the committee’s work tell CNN.

When asked about pressure on Hutchinson after Monday’s hearing, committee member Rep. Zoe Lofgren, told CNN: “She was advised to say that she didn’t recall something when she did. So that’s pretty serious stuff.”  

The episode is just one of several instances in which the committee has accused members of Trump’s orbit of trying to obstruct the panel’s investigation.  

Fortunately Ms. Hutchinson saw the problem with Stefan Passantino and found a lawyer who was more genuinely concerned about ethics.

Hussie was a known Anti-Black Racist for years before Homestuck dropped - to the point of including Anti-Black Racial Caricatures in her comics and also flippant usage of the N-Word - and Gamzee is introduced to us as an impossible to understand, dirty, drug-addled, ugly, stupid teen with an absent father and a religious devotion to rap/hip hop. Later, it is revealed that hard drugs were the only thing keeping him from being excessively violent and abusive.

Me in 2016: You know, saying things like "trans rights are human rights" doesn't necessarily mean that person is safe around trans people. In fact, sometimes people still have unchecked bias against trans people, and that can be clouded by them saying that trans rights are human rights. It can prevent them from fully looking into their own preconceptions about cissexism and trans people.

Powering the thing isn't a problem. They can already power the machine with any paradox:
