Rereading Fablehaven so here are some headcanons

The fairies in FH universe are undoubtedly beautiful but also are equipped with sharp fangs that hurt a lot when they bite someone

After Kendra becomes fairykind her ears become slightly pointed and her teeth become sharper but the sharp fangs are only visible to those that have drank the milk

Vanessa has multiple tattoos

Warren has one tattoo which is very small because it hurt so much but he wears it with a badge of honor (he will never admit it was dare or that it’s a butterfly)

Ruth Sorensen has a tattoo which very few people have seen but apparently it’s pretty bad ass

Kendra and Seth took it upon themselves to get Warren up to date on pop culture stuff after he woke up. Seth covered memes and Kendra covered pretty much everything else

Kendra has a rather diverse music taste (much to most people’s surprise) and loves to make playlists for people

Seth will not admit that he listens to the playlists Kendra made him daily

After the death of Kendra’s stingbulb Warren didn’t listen to the playlists Kendra had made him and instead listened to her favorite songs on repeat

Dale grows numerous plants around his home and names them all. He also knows all of the livestock animals by name

Small animals have a habit of imprinting in Dale whether he likes it or not. This extends to magical animals as well

Dale became very fond of Seth. Warren got very attached to Kendra.

Stan Sorensen doesn’t drink often but one time during the holidays when everyone was drinking, Warren attempted to keep up with Stan and ended up very shitfaced

Stan walked away fine

Kendra can and will cuss someone out when needed, especially after Zzyzz. Vanessa and Warren are very proud, everyone else is terrified

Seth snuck fireworks into Fablehaven for the Fourth of July and many of the creatures requested that he do it again

Seth made the mistake of stealing from Kendra’s plate once and she hit him, fangs and all, he never did it again

Warren is the only one that can steal food from Kendra without getting bitten

Seth is not very touchy feely when he’s awake but when he’s asleep he will latch onto the nearest person

Warren is 100% a cuddler, so is Kendra, they can and will struggle snuggle Vanessa

I've had my (positive) rant post about Fablehaven on Tumblr for a literal decade and every now and then it gets some note traffic, but for the longest time I was convinced I was the only kid on earth who ever read the dang books. I was so sad that, in the wake of Jerk Kraven Rowling's bulldozing of fantasy media franchises at the time with the release of the HP movies, nobody would ever pick up these books. They were overlooked, tossed aside for the hot new films made for the fantasy series Harry Potter, and forgotten by everybody except the few folks who bothered to pick up the interesting covers or were gifted copies for their birthdays. I was among the latter, and god as my witness I would not be the same person I am today if not for these novels. I still have all five novels with the original covers, and they're among my most cherished possessions.

Are they perfect? No, they're products of their time and have some flaws. They're the first book series ever penned by Brandon Mull, who would go on to write and complete many more fantasy book series, but for his maiden voyage into writing, they're incredible! The flaws are nowhere near the level of some of the BS that Just Kidding Rowling pulled in HP.

Do they still slap severely and commit really fucking hard to the fantasy? YES. A MILLION TIMES YES.

And you have seen fit to gift the world with a digestible audiobook format I can send to my friends who are unable to purchase the books, that also serves as a giant middle finger to Amazon. I could kiss you, but I'm ace and respect boundaries, so I will instead grab you by the shoulders and shake you vigorously like a maraca. And you're doing ALL FIVE BOOKS-

Hi! Please don't feel bad about going over board on the TOA stuff! It sounded SO cool. I have never watched it, but you talking about it has definitely made me wanna check it out!! However, I liked what you talked about so much I stopped reading about half way through so I wouldn't get too spoiled since I will probably be watching it now (if I rememver after I finish watching it, I will come back and read the rest!!)... also the fact that pretty much every other show you have listed I love. Our taste is so similar, I'm sure I'd probably like it!

As for my own headcannons... hmmmm. None that really come to mind. You have so many cool ones but... I'm not sure I have any of my own. Though I do like most of the really popular headcannons for Rise I wouldn't call them my own, since someone else came up with them? (Such as Leo being gay/trans, Raphs lost of sight in one eye after the movie, ect)

My favorite colors are as follows: sky blue, brighter shades of green, then purple!

And finally, I like to draw turtles mostly. As for writing? I have like a billion and one ideas floating in my head at all times‐ only like .01% of them end up getting written down on paper.

Hmm for my next question... what is YOUR favorite colors? Do you like any books? (I used to be REAL into warrior cats) annnndddd any music you'd recommend? (I get nervous recommending music, so, if not that's fine, I get it ^-^)

I totally get that, I also really like the more popular headcanons that other people come up with! (Like Raph's eyesight.)

My favorite colors are dark sage green, darker purples, and queen blue (or similar shades).

My favorite childhood books were A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Unwanteds, Fablehaven, and The Magic Treehouse! My current favorite book is Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots!

For music I'm a big fan of Will Wood! My top songs are probably Marsha, thank you for the dialects but I need you to leave, Chemical Overreaction/Compound Fracture, Love Me Normally, and Hand me my shovel I'm going in! Other random songs I like are Gamma Ray by Beck, Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie, Girl Anachronism by the Dresden Dolls, Crocodile Rock by Elton John, and Bad Moon Rising! My Playlist is kind of one giant pot of the most random songs ever.
