        Sometimes, Elias opens his mouth and all Gerard hears is a collection of posh muppet sounds.  This is not one of those times - which is unfortunate, because the more Gerard actually listens to him, the more pissed-off he gets.  He has to force himself to breathe in and out before he allows himself to speak.

             his indifference did not unnerve her in the slightest, though it did bring with it an intense urge to irritate him in what ever way possibly in order to evoke a reaction. still, she’d hold off on that until she’d gotten her answer, not necessarily looking to pointlessly waste time until she felt her stomach be sufficiently filled.  ❝ well, i’d prefer not to have to cook for myself, but if this place is so barren that all i can find are ingredients i can do it. ❞ food always tasted so much better when no effort was put into it, however. by the time she finished cooking herself a meal she didn’t usually really even want to eat it anymore. a gal of impulse, many would say.

             ❝ the idea of lounging somewhere while being hand fed grapes does currently sound really appealing. how about we meet somewhere in the middle? let’s say...not just some reheated french fries, but not caviar, either. how’s that? ❞ that is to say she has no idea what she wants. ❝ you seem like someone... ❞ he was either interesting or terribly boring. it was impossible to tell yet.
