hey I've been listening to the yard for about a year and a half and I want to get more into it ifywim do I just start watching old vods to catch up or is there any content u can recommend as a baseline must-watch

this is by no means a comprehensive list because i've only really been watching the yard since dec 2022 and my 2021 stint in lud viewing was brief and casual (didn't know what i had) but it is a fucking long list so i'll keep it under the cut. included stuff that maybe i wouldn't classify as a must watch but i wanted to include it so you can pick and choose what interests you

PODCASTS - I know for a fact there are other podcast appearances out there that I don't know of but here are a few:

the yard x wine about it - it's just the four of them and qt which means good times! this is an essential imo

there are a few eps of fear& that they appear on! specifically rec the ep with nick and aiden and the ep with ludwig and aiden. there are also a few eps with ludwig and slime (not at the same time) if you're interested in those

i've watched aiden on three different interview podcasts all are worth a watch to me: karat interview, across the bar, and good griefed (audio a little scuffed on this one but it's cute)

fucking loved nick's ep of across the bar because his outlook on creativity is super relatable to me. he also did something with safety third that i've been meaning to watch but haven't yet!

VIDEOS AND STREAMS - there's a lot here but i'll try to describe what's what

mogul money ft the yard - this is the full vod, there's also a cut down video. extremely fun watch

nick was also on mogul money live (first game specifically) and he and aiden appear in the bts video a little bit

qt posted vlogs from italy! they're all fun watches and there's some good moments. one, two, three, four

qt and aiden make shit in an ezbake oven and make the guys eat it. fun little video. idk if the vod is out there somewhere or not

lud did a shit load of taste test videos with the guys for a slim jim sponsor. this might not be all of them but here are the ones i cold find off rip (fruit, cheese, chocolate, water, steak)

ludwig has done a shitload of ylyl streams with slime that you can find and honestly i have a horrible mediashare allergy so i haven't watched a lot of them but i have watched the one they did with aiden and the one with everyone but idk where the full vod is for the latter

from ludwig's fortnite mondays, there was a week where slime and nick played with jerma and sapnap. idk if any of the others posted the vod but here's sapnap's

the subathon has a shitload of stuff that i can't even begin to link but if you want the experience of the dcom series without subbing to tier 2 they watched the truman show starting about an hour thirty into this vod, tho it takes a hot minute to get everything lined up with the time stamps

halloween po unboxing where them + qt dress up as characters from scooby doo. nick looks frankly obscene as velma this is a great vod

how many flashlights does it take to cook an egg is exactly what it sounds like. it's lud slime and nick ft a little bit of yingo

they play the family feud game together in these two vods: just them and against miz/otk (can't stand miz but it was still good)

RECENT STUFF - aka stuff you probably know about or have seen because you've been around a year and a half but i figured i'd include them anyway since they happened off the pod

two months ago they all played fortnite on lud's stream and it was awesome

both the show matches of the ludwig tarik invitationals are worth watching if you're into valo! the first one is team mogul v otv and they're split up in the second. if the timestamps are broken it's 2h30 in both vods

the rivals 2 tournament is fun! i don't understand shit about fighting games but i love to see the boys play

cdawgva ski vod with lud and aiden from the japan trip! there's also a cut down version of youtube but i found it a fun watch

recency bias alert: they all played in creator dodgeball

the qt and aiden winter cocktail tierlist stream was so good like genuinely a stream of all time to me. ludwig hangs around for parts of it

the yard doing the dougdoug fast food challenge is a MUST WATCH! they celebrate and they suffer what could be more beautiful

otv's fear pong video with them is so fucking good. SO GOOD!

My murder drones episodes tierlist

(this is just my personal opinion, also i don't really tend to make this post a deep analysis or anything lmfao)

1° - DEAD END

This episode is just---- omg so perfect. Everything is just so wonderfull, i want to say much more about this one but i cant even bring myself to explain It with words yet. i just love this one so much. Also, i love how all the video reviews so far can agree with that tol 10/10

2° - THE PROMENING

One of the best for sure!!!! Its genuinely amazing and the songs in this episodes where the most catchy ones for me! Its one of the episodes that really showed the true essence of this show (also nuzi heheheh) 9.8/10

3° - CABIN FEVER

The only episode that acctually made me cry so far (/Srs) i acctually like this episode more than the third one so i could put this one in second place If i wanted but i have my personal reasons to why i dont. But this one genuinely mess with me and also the one were i got the most Liam vickers vibe from lfmao. And the animation is just ugghhh /pos. ALSO N in this episode has no right to be so cool... 9.8/10

4° - PILOT

I genuinely have a soft spot for this one because of the early 2010 cartoon vibes and other things...... I also love it because N was genuinely so scary /pos. Overall its just a really great episode to debut the characters and the word and really showed how murder drones would be Glitch's Gold Mine. Also im still shocked at how small the team was. 9.5/10

5° - HOME

This episode was really Nice! Uzi was the best part in this episode for me, she was so cute and badass ( and the litte subtle nuzi moments that only real ones realize) and i had a good time with Cyn, but overall i dont really have much strong feelings for this one because i cant really enjoy worker N in the same way i enjoy Disassembly N. (He was still husband material tho-) 8.5/10

6° - HEARTBEAT

This episode was really great! It was a nice set up to show how the real vibes of the series would be and seeing nuzi get separated Just after recently meeting was so... </3 but i cant really bring myself to enjoy this one that much when compared to the others for some reason. But still great! 8/10

the story is about these teenagers trying stop an evil cult from destroying the entire multiverse, so they go to different dimensions to stop their evil ways. Also they are teenagers so they have to deal with personal angst, family issues, morality, school ect ect while trying to stop the cult leader and their right hand men

Caroline is technically the main character of my story, she is basically the bubbly, positive one of the group. Her family is rich as hell, they used to live in Taiwan as successful business people but they moved to America because they wanted to make more money. Her family doesn’t really like her and they emotionally and physically neglect her since she came out as a transgender girl and her older sister is kind of a coward and doesn’t stand up for her (fun times)

anyway she ends up having to do a group assignment with her childhood friend which she kind of drifted apart from (Andie) and some punk girl she probably has a crush on (Mimi), they eventually end up in an abandoned house and find out that their town is run by an evil cult that can teleport to different dimensions. So they feel guilty enough to stop it.

they think the best course is to beat the 7 plane hoppers who are in the way to kill the main cult leader, the stag. though out the whole thing Caroline is basically pushing through by toxic positivity saying everything is alright even though they have killed many people, she also kind of convinced herself that this is a video game and is probably more okay about sacrificing people and herself (for the better good)

Also her sister possessed during her 17th birthday party for funsies

More About Vir; Lani is often described as overwhelming to strangers. They don't tone any part of their personality down, ever. Vir loud, outgoing and loves meeting new people; textbook extrovert. They'll be the first to greet someone walking into a room and try to make someone comfortable. Ve talks fast and only gets faster when ve gets excited... which is often. They often accidentally volunteer their friends for things they definitely didn't sign up for. Ve realizes it quickly and will either backtrack it or take over for whoever they volunteered.

Ve has a habit of not thinking before doing something and often gets in some kind of trouble because of it. Ve's surprisingly a bit of a pushover; they're overly willing to help out and is very willing to do something for someone if they're lead to believe the person can't do it for whatever reason.

Ve's gained a love of nature from Yijun, but it's evolved into a love of travel. Ve wants to travel everywhere they can and honestly fears settling down someday. They collect little souvenirs from every place they go, but they're a little weird; a pinecone from a forest in Y City, a broken thing they found in Z City. And shiny things. Vir kind of like a crow. Sometimes they'll use the random knick-knacks they've collected to make necklaces and bracelets.

Lani has a certain chaotic energy. Everything ve does has at least a hint of this and it almost makes up their foundation. And ve embraces this chaos. Ve loves fast paced things and get very fidgety when they have to slow down. That's not to say that they won't; ve tries to go slow for vir friends and loved ones. It doesn't always work out, but ve'll try vir damnedest so they aren't alone.

Something I think about a lot.

Steve has nightmares, like probably a lot of them, especially after learning about the Upside Down. But like my boy had trauma before that too, like his parents didn’t parent, he had no real friends. Like that’s not easy for someone.

Eddie must have nightmares too, because of whatever the fuck his dad did, it’s not clear. But I doubt 1970s Indiana is just gonna give a child to a single father for no reason. Like Wayne is the goat, but what Eddie went through before had to have left some scars.

And Max too, like Neil is a piece of shit, and her Susan is a bi- and Vecna happened. So she’s got shit.

(All of stranger things has shit. Not to discredit their trauma)

But like Max, Steve, and Eddie are all alone like they don’t have anyone outside the gang that they can talk to. Like can you imagine for a second:

Max gets out of the hospital post Vecna, she can’t see- not well anyway, and her hips are fucked. The Government has figured out Neil is a POS so they’re being investigated, her brother is dead, like she probably goes and sits on the porch and waits for Eddie to get home so she won’t have to be alone.

(Eddie lives, like El and The Gov for sure get him out. It’s not as bad as it looked, like Dustin was in shock for sure)

Eddie is struggling, he has huge scars on his neck back and stomach, he like Max is having to go to PT to learn how to walk and shit and he’s having memory problems, but not in the way he wants, like he can remember exactly how it felt to be eaten alive. And so sometimes he goes on long drives just to clear his head, he probably spends a lot of time at Skull Rock because it’s like his safe place.

Usually when he gets home he helps Max over to his place, they have dinner and sit in silence because neither of them can sleep and like they don’t know what to say.

Everyone else seems to be moving on, Robin and Nancy start dating and looking at Colleges. Not too far away bc the kids, Steve, Eddie and Joyce and Hop of course. Hop has retired, Joyce doesn’t have to work anymore bc the Gov finally paid her off. Will is adjusting to being back in Hawkins but now he has El, who’s doing really well despite the whole saving the world thing. Mike and Dustin are spending a lot of time together they’ve thrown themselves into studying so they can graduate early and get the hell out of Hawkins. Lucas doesn’t know how to help Max so he’s kind of withdrawing from her and The Party.

Steve, isn’t doing well, he’s not eating and really not sleeping bc his house is so empty and he feels like he can’t talk about any of it with Robin bc she seems so okay. And so he’s just spending more time alone.

Eventually Max loses it, she flips her shit, the party doesn’t know how to help so they call Eddie and Steve who take her out of the house. They end up at The Quarry and finally they talk about it. Eddie tells them he has nightmares about not being saved and being left to bleed out in The Upside Down. And sometimes he forgets where he is bc of the memory shit and he feels like he’s going crazy. Max says she can’t stand needing to be helped with everything and her mom is mad at her and she has really bad nightmares about Vecna and it’s just not great. And finally Steve admits that he can’t handle being alone and he’s even taking to sleeping in the back room of The Family Video so he won’t have to go home. The three of them cry and cry.

After that tho, Eddie and Steve start staying together usually at Eddie’s bc it’s close to max and uncle Wayne is happy Eddie has Steve around to keep him company. More often the not they sit on the porch with max until she’s falling asleep on the steps between them. They take her home and finally make it back to Eddie’s bed.

Months later the government decides Max isn’t safe at The Hargrove home so they move her in with Joyce and Hop. She starts doing well in school again and even gets back together with Lucas, and maybe just maybe El gets a little crush on her.

Robin and Nancy finally convince Steve and Eddie to open up and life feels normal. Somewhere along the way Eddie and Steve start dating and even when they have a hard time sleeping they have each other to keep them company.

As for my TSP brainrot......

It's being drowned out by my Wolfwood Trigun brainrot quite a bit right now, but that's not to say I don't still have TSP brainrot.

I'm still very receptacle to drawing TSP art since I did so just yesterday. Though with both brainrots I'm finding it difficult to use my brain at all, so there is that.

I still absolutely adore TSP and want to draw and make more content ofc. You don't have to worry about that.

As for my general life..... eh. I'll separate things into good, bad, and neutral feelings about the things.

Good: I got to have a sleepover with @dime-smothied (it was her first one ever, which was super crazy, lol). Also I bought I trigun print along with some stickers and a hoodie from my favorite artist ABDIllustraits (I would tag him bit I don't wanna bother him. He is on here though, and I adore his YouTube videos. The way he does them is just ♡♡♡♡♡)!!!! And earlier I got some TSP keychains and and acrylic standee in the mail, so I'm super happy about those!!! I love them a lot and I'm so excited to get the stuff from ABD!

Neutral: I've been temporarily back at work this week since they were severely understaffed due to people vacationing and such, so I'm making money again. So that's nice. I have a pretty set plan for moving out of my parent house, I just need to buy my own car, make doubly sure I have plenty of money saved up so I have time to find a job after I move, and then just get everything packed and double check my housing situation. So pretty soon I'll be able to move out and I'm excited about it, just gotta get all that stuff done.

Bad: Um. My pet snake Theo died two days ago........ I don't know what else I can say right now about it. I hurts and it's frustrating to say the very least. I loved him a lot and I miss him. So, I'm dealing with those emotions right now. I'm doing my best to cope, but we'll see as time passes how I do. Distractions are appreciated.

So yeah. That's pretty much everything I think. Honestly, I'm so happy to be getting asks from you again, you really help brighten my day 🅰️non, so thank you ♡ Right now I think I just need things to draw and fun drawings or rambles to look at. alright, so!! i often tell my roommate about all the SMPs i’m interested in, which mostly includes Hermitcraft, Empires, DSMP, and the Life Series. and i tend to tell her about all the new stuff going on. occasionally, we’ll watch videos of Hermitcraft and Life Series together. sometimes we’ll watch some solo content from Mumbo or Etho.

i’ve made it pretty clear that she doesn’t need to remember the names or even really watch it, but she does actually enjoy it a lot. however, it’s a lot of content to keep up with and remember, which i totally agree!! while i love these SMPs so much, but i bet it’s gotta be hella overwhelming to newcomers sometimes.

anyway!! so. i just found out that she has apparently combined all these SMPs in her mind and i want to share her perspective with you bc it’s now my favorite thing ever, so here we go:

The MCU (Minecraft Universe) according to my roommate:

all the Minecraft SMPs combined should be referred as the MCU (Minecraft Universe) — this is literally what she calls them and i love that. according to her, there’s so many characters that crossover into other SMPs, it just makes sense to make it into a combined universe. it’s the best thing ever.

there are only 11 total Minecraft Men. that’s it. — this number actually went up bc originally she decided there were only 5??? she counted them out for me tho, and there are, in fact, 11 Minecraft Men.

there is also only one (1) Minecraft woman. she is also the only Minecraft wife — i think she’s talking about LDShadowlady bc i talk a lot about Joel?? but i’m not sure if she’s combined Lizzie and Kristin into one person. either way, she is the only Minecraft wife/woman to exist bc my roommate doesn’t know there’s more. (bruh, when i show her there’s more than one Minecraft woman, it’s gonna blow her mind ahdjskf)

the Minecraft Men are described only as “the husbandos, the guy with the demon boyfriend, the demon, and the child of one of the husbandos”

“there was a ranch that burned down that one time” — once again, i was not prepared for this shdjdkg. pretty sure that she’s talking about Double Life bc we watched a lot of Joel and Etho’s POVs of that one together

I wasnt too much in the fandom when bendy and the ink machine released , watched a playthrough, liked the game, watched some content on youtube and never thought deeper about it, just looked fondly back at it sometimes

Although recently a video on batim made me see many fun things in the game! Then I decided to FINALLY watch batdr playthough since I've been meaning to do that when it first released

I adore Audrey ! Wilson is an interesting character! The game gives us more about Joey ! Gives us a new perspective on Henry since reveal he's not The REAL henry changes things! Porter and big steve are silly

I saw some people call batdr joeys redemption arc, but imo opinion it only showcased that he tried at all.

When joey tried to change and became happier, he was already old and didnt have much time left so I dont think he could fully succed in that. Still he tried atleast. Doesn't change the fact how many people he hurt of course

Now the time loops. Oh boy

In my opinion they are fine and interesting! Batdr definetely made them better since in batim they were SO confusing and out of nowhere. Still it was interesting, but batdr definetely handled it better.

Also I love new ink demon design! Its really imposing, really leaning into the animalistoc side. Also voice is pretyy fitting. In general I love designs in this game :]

I wanna say more about the plot, but I really just have to say that it was enjoyable. I like the slowly unraveling mystery [which with small spoilers made me overthink everything/hj] , the twists. The end [ Im talking specifically about the part where audrey and ink demon are one, not last cutscene] was mostly awesome, But I have a feeling SOMETHING should also be there, like it was lacking. Unfortunately can't put my finger on what that SOMETHING should be at the moment

I thinks thats all I have to say atm. In conclusion: enjoyable game that alao ex0ands some things from batim

I was putting off answering this because I wanted to fully communicate to you how much I LOVE KUNG FU PANDA!!!!

I have absolutely no training in any form of martial arts except for that one camp I went to for a week, where my instructor told me if we knocked down a cylindrical punching structure he’d pay for a trip to Disney world, and I almost! ALMOST knocked it down!!! So for a few years I thought I’d squandered a trip to Disney world but came to the sorrowing conclusion that he would’ve never bought me a ticket to Disney world even if I had indeed knocked it over— ANYWAY TANGENT ASIDE, I can’t answer to the accuracy of any techniques these plushy anthropomorphic animals use hehe

Kung fu panda (and How to train your dragon) are some of my FAVORITE tween classics. If I have kids, they will watch these trilogies, and they WILL love them as much as I do >:)

This may be a hot take, but my fav of the 3 movies is the 2nd one….

SPOILERS FOR ALL 3 KUNG FU PANDA MOVIES! (Haven’t watched any of the shows so I can’t comment on them)

1st movie: absolute cinematic master piece. Loved the animation, loved the story, adored the music/score, loved everything about it. I’ve watched dozens of analysis videos on this trilogy, and I can say with the greatest of confidence that it was phenomenal. It asked a great question (one I did not pick up for about a decade lol) . Who am I? (As Po)

As a child I never put 2 and 2 together to figure out that Ping the goose, adopted Po LOL I just thought yup this goose materialized this panda yup that’s natural.

Tai Lung is one of my favorite villains of all time and his connection with Shifu is so crucial and heartbreaking. Loved how Po learned about discipline yet never lost what made him special and unique. The designs are great and Ping is the best father up there with STOICK THE VAST 💪

2nd movie: great example of growing with the audience— it takes a much darker tone to the first one. Hans Zimmer is a literal music genius and his scores are just MNGH. This movie forces Po to confront his tragic past, and asks him who he was. Personally very touching, as the lesson was that your past is a part of you but does not solely define you. Watching Po come to terms with the death of his people was harrowing, yet satisfying as he finds his inner piece. The entire color palette changes to red, black, white, and gold and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Love Po and Tigris’ relationship and seeing how the furious 5 come to accept him and trust him as their new leader and friend. Also Ping is the best.

3rd movie: haven’t watched it in a while, and definitely the weakest of the 3, but wow it’s still amazing. I don’t have many thoughts since I’ve watched this only 2 or 3 times, but I love all the pandas 🐼 loved dim and sum and all the food names pandas. A very slight nitpick was how Po’s bio father was depicted in the flashback of the 2nd movie vs how he is in the 3rd movie, but all can be forgiven. The animation is stellar in this movie tho and the color palette is such a vibrant green and fresh feel! Ugh loved these all. I was absolutely mortified when the ox did villain (I forgot his name) destroyed Oogway’s statue. Oh, man, I was HOT with FURY!

General thoughts:

I think I like the 2nd movie better is because of the personal connection Shen has with Po.

Tai lung was connected to Shifu and the ox dude was connected to Oogway, but Shen was the direct reason why Po’s mother was killed and why his village was destroyed. Also. GARY OLDMAN. EXCUSE ME! The animation of the Shen as the peacock is just. I cannot take my eyes off the screen. The voice acting is everything.

I’m definitely forgetting things but this is all I can remember right now. UGH I LOVE THESE MOVIES!

hi idk if you want an explanation of milgram or whatever but i'm mildly obsessed with it so. um. yeah

basically there's these ten people in this weird sorta-magic prison, and all of them have committed murder in some way. there's also two prison guards - es, who we the viewers view everything from, and jackalope, who acts as a guide for es and the viewers

es (and the viewers) initially know nothing about the prisoners except for their names and ages. in order to find out about the prisoners (and ultimately, how and why they committed the murders), their thoughts are transformed into music videos for es to watch.

along with the music videos, there's also voice dramas (which consists of an interrogation of a prisoner from es) that are released 1 day after their music video, and there's interrogation questions that milgram project releases on their app and on their twitter account.

by using the information that you gather from the music videos, voice dramas, and interrogation questions, you/es are supposed to deduce whether or not you believe that the prisoner can be forgiven for their actions.

there's three trials to milgram, and the final votes of each trial influence how the prisoners will act and what will be revealed in the next trial. currently, we are almost halfway through trial 2

if you decide to get into it, i would suggest finding a playlist on youtube that has all the songs in order, as well as some of the introduction videos, as the intro videos will help explain what it is. also, use english subtitles and find english translations of the voice dramas
