A friend recently started watching One Piece again and it opened my mind to talk abt headcanons
( especially usopp and sanji, fight me )
So...
One piece headcanon
We know usopp enjoy drawing for what was showed up to us back pré time skip right? ( it should be more done on screen, pls oda listen to me-) He has a scketbook but what if he just paint a WHOLE WALL OF SUNNY like a beautiful frame of the sea, sun or/and island, franky would definitely encourage him and luffy and chopper could try to "help" him sometimes.
Speaking of franky, i think his friendship with usopp is something so SUPER, they are bros and definitely can go of having a good time making some projects together and teaching each other to just tease the other, and franky gives all vibes of "big bro", he is watching usopp and is proud of him in ever step
BROOK - just him, this man skeleton deserves the screen, he is fucking soul king! Where are his fans? Why we haven't seen a room full of guitars and instruments? FOR ROGER he knows how to sing!!! A ARTIST as usopp, and they could share they interest on art and maybe pass the time on silence with brook playing smt and usopp drawing, franky could enjoy them!
Have i said usopp is a artist? Bc i'm to say it again! I don't just think he's interested in drawing, He also likes manual things just like Frank and have his plants, what do you think about SEWING, nami could know and teach him, or he already know bc he basically raise himself and teach HER. And then he makes his own clothes or sewn some draw on a piece of clothe, like a flower on pants ( luffy usually would ask him to save some of his clothes or make smt cool on his jacket )
Nami for me trys to be a big sis and end being a silly little gremlin, She likes pranks and likes play around ( not like luffy, but smart ) She calls Usopp to gossip, she likes garden, she likes to be spoiled bc she had to steal to survive. And most important, she can be realy introspective, she can just sit on the deck and feel the sun hitting her face and the sea breeze ruffling her hair and get lost in thoughts about the world.
Still nami she knows the basic of drawing ( I could say that she knows how to draw, but I want to believe that cartography requires much more mathematical knowledge than drawing beautiful ) and for that she can make fast decisions based on math, like physics? I dunno. The point for me is that she can visualize things well because she knows the basics of drawing and how to calculation. So if she view a obstacle or a alley she would know what to do to pass/get out. She makes parkour. And she's reasonably good at aiming.
Robin reads a lot, she knows things, she can know abt plants, do you know who could like talk abt plants? Chopper bc he is a doctor, usopp bc he uses them to survive, nami bc she likes her fruits, and BROOK bc i say so ( joking, he just likes tea ) maybe jinbe would like to tell abt sea plants? They all have a lecture or a casual meeting where they sit in a circle and talk for hours. ( luffy tries to participate but loses focus quickly)
Something says to me that Robin likes hats, I don't know why
Luffy has ADHD
Luffy can surprisingly practices yoga, he can have the calm if he wants and delight play with his body, This also helps him explore the rubber's capabilities and stretch for the morning
I think that since he was always walking around in the forest with ace anda sabo, he likes to walk. And explore obviously, but the sunny isn't the florest, he still can walk towards the ship, For some long times ( one day he walked in a circle on the ship's deck more than 20 times ) is common to see him just exploring sunny as it was for the first time, it is when he look all of his crew on each nock
Zoro has a very high metabolism. He sleeps a lot, eats a lot and trains a lot. But sometimes he just sits in the corner of the ship and looks at the swords or polishes them.
Because he know how to identify a good sword just by looking at the metal, he is also good at knowing if a piece of jewelry is worth what it says it is.
I feel like he likes walking barefoot and feel the earth under his feet. To me he is very touch of things but try to repress this
Sanji value his appearance, he HAVE TO take care of his hair properly! And soak feet in hot water with herbs sometimes.
He has a separate recipe book exclusively for things that are good for hair. Just in case
He have to use more glasses, mister prince have to return to us 😭 ( also i think bc his eyes are blue he is light sensitive )
He likes to cook, but not so much to eat.
He likes to share the kitchen, would never admit it, but the presence of someone else can bring him to the present ( he tends to dissociate ) - usopps is his most constant companion
He likes the draws, He admires people who can make art, like franky who makes big things, He finds these people smart for having the capacity, and robin who on his view is good at everthing if she wants
He likes to observe. It might look like he's just standing there looking at the girls in bikinis on the deck. But he is he's noticing how the shadow casts itself in a certain corner of the sunny And how brook seems to be telling smt abt music to luffy. For that he can notices if anyone gives sign of hungry
Robin is like a big sis to him. He respect her, of course he is like that with all ladies but with her is more... Specific? Maybe is her past, which he project smts, Her intelligence and how her mind seems to be a large library of knowledge. She is also a good listener and if she pushes in the right way, he can open up to her. He knows she's a solid presence you can trust, that gives him security. She also reminds him that he can be a jerk sometimes with just a look and a kind smile. He misses Reiju looking at her, both of them are smart and gently. And could kick his ass easily. What women ( a bit of myself speaking here lol)
I was thinking since jinbe, brook and robin are olders they like to hang out amd speak things more "mature". I think Jinbe anda robin enjoy delving into different cultures together. Franky and robin can talk abt anything, mainly from the ship's crew. (They are like Usopp and Nami, sometimes just gossiping. Sometimes Checking if everything is ok with the crew). I think I brook and jinbd would form a really good friendship, brook would speak abt laboon and jinbe act as listening to a father talk about his kid. He wouldn't complain. (Maybe he would talk a little about some of the kids on Fish-Man Island he met or any marine animal)
Luffy, usopp and franky have many scars on their hands. Zoro as well but not so much.
Chopper has a diary. For me, as a doctor he has to write down many things about his patients for future monitoring and records. It makes him enjoy writing. And since observing and looking for symptoms is also a function of doctors, He easily notice interesting details in human interactions. He not always understand what they mean.
He writes about all of the tribulations separately. In the corner of the nursery is there a shelf with a book for each of the Straw Hats, Containing everything from their medical data to how they act during the day. For example, he wrote about what a happy Luffy is like and what a Sad Day Luffy is like. (this is just a report of when he saw his captain collapse after something traumatic).
He may be a child, but he has an adult mentality. He would know how to deal with a "war scenario". This is what he does when everyone on the crew is hurt, he sets priorities and helps others to help themselves.
He and Robin are well organized and sometimes get together to establish an organizational method for something.
Could bring some of the customs from the island where he was born, For example, he has a tendency to drink certain hot drinks that remind him of home or wear winter clothes.
Jinbe and nami have some kind of father-daughter bond, He has a duty to himself to take care of her and it leaded him to find how strong and amazing she is, he praises her a lot without noticing. The first time nami tried not to be affected, but sometimes she needs to hear some praise and support. She might melt for the big heart of te "old man". ( how could someone hurt this fishman ? offend him and you will receive eye daggers )
Just like Sanji, Nami and Usopp like to take care of their hair properly. They like to try out hairstyles on each other or simply get ready in the same room.
We should appreciate Usopp's hair more. we were deprived of seeing these beautiful curls in the wind in a wild and beautiful way
Nami likes cats
Usopp likes dogs
Sanji thing he isn't good with children but like them - he likes birds
Zoro is followed by dogs often - dunno ( I think they just identify with the loyalty they feel coming from Zoro. After all, the dog is man's best friend.)
Luffy and usopp like to look for insects
Sanji, nami and BROOK hate them
Franky is a dog person
Robin is good with animals. Like a disney's princess
Jinbe talk with the sea smt
Chopper also tends to follow zoro

RULES
Tumblr media
1. I don't usually accept requests, because I can only write if I have my own inspiration. So, DON'T rush me or keep demanding something from me (please, I lovely kindly ask). But my question box is open for any ideas.
2. Please don't ask me for disgusting themed stories. I do NSFW, but as long as it doesn't involve some gross stuff I don't even need to talk about (I'm not talking about NCS or anything like that, but about really gross stuff).
3. Don't get your hopes up on character x character stories written by me. If there are any, they will be rare exceptions, as I'm generally not a big fan of this type of writing (except in some VERY specific cases). And I can probably only write that kind with Nico Robin.
4. I can't write (which includes mostly NSFW) about these characters: Franky, Brook, Jinbe, Tony Tony Chopper, Trebol, Señor Pink, Buffalo, Shiryu, and countless other characters, most of which in this extensive list include a few minor characters or extras.
5. Definitely NOT (for now): Franky, Brook, Jinbe, Tony Tony Chopper, Trebol, Señor Pink, Buffalo, Shiryu, Machvise, Lucky Roux, etc...
6. I kindly ask you not to ask me for fanfics Frobin (Franky + Robin) or Jinbin (Jinbe + Robin), I just hate those two ships, but I respect your opinion if you like it. Anyway, I will forever be Zorobin (Zoro + Robin) and Lawbin (Law + Robin), and I can write about them with great pleasure.
DO NOT ask me for!
Tumblr media
1. As I already mentioned, stories involving disgusting stuff.
2. Stories involving incest, necrophilia, cannibalism, cruelty to animals, and other terrible things like that. Please don't ask me for this!
3. Stories with racist, bigoted, homophobic, xenophobic themes, these terrible things...
4. OOC characters and stories set in the real world. I just manage to write just for the OP world. Of course, I can open exceptions from time to time, but I don't guarantee anything.
5. Fanfics with male!reader or gn!reader (okay, maybe someday I might try it?! but for now it doesn't work, and it's simply bcs I can't write for that type).
6. Stories for non-binary people (I'm sorry, I'm serious, I just can't write for non-binary people). I swear I already tried it, but it was just awful. So, for now, that's my decision.
7. Character x Character stories (I've only managed one so far, with Nico Robin — and she's just the only one I've felt good doing it with).
8. Fanfics with LGBTQIA+ themes (I'm really sorry, but I can't. Especially those involving characters like Zoro, Law, Doflamingo, Rosinante, Eustass Kid, etc... It just doesn't come out of there). But I can do things like that between women (orange/lesbians).
WHAT CAN I DO?
Tumblr media
1. Yes, I can mix races and write reader with fishmen, minks or something else.
2. NSFW content (I definitely can and want to, once I have good development in the stories of course).
3. I can also do size kink, I just don't make it if that will be with characters like Whitebeard, Kaido, Blackbeard, Bartholomew Kuma and others like them...
WARNINGS
Tumblr media
1. English IS NOT my first language and I'm not fluent in it. Therefore, I write the stories in my native language, and then I translate them with the help of Google Translate. Any spelling errors should be explained by this.
2. My blog is NOT FREE from spoilers, +18 content, dark content and things that might make you feel a little uncomfortable maybe (like angst, NCS, etc...).
3. This blog is focused on One Piece, but I still don't know if I'll gather all my stories from different animes and doramas here, or if I'll create a secondary blog for that.
Tumblr media
Now, I'm going to create a “list” of characters and the appropriate colors inserted will define whether or not I can write about them.
Color Green — I definitely CAN write about this character.
Color Red — I definitely CANNOT write about this character. At least not these days.
Color Orange — Maybe I can and maybe I can't write about this character. And it is very likely that there will be regulations for this.
Color Purple — These are my favorites characters to write about.
Color Pink — Just Fluffy.
Color Blue — I can definitely write about this character. But there will be PROBABLY little or no fluffy/romance and it will likely be +18 Only.

Ranking all of the One Piece movies I've watched recently based on how much I personally enjoyed them.
7. Film Z: I liked this one thematically. I think it's the first post-timeskip movie and you can really feel the change in both the world and the crew, which is cool. Plot-wise I found it mildly confusing and not as fun as the others, though. Also I wanted to see more of the Straw Hats turned into babies.
6. Stampede: Seeing all the Supernovas team up was fun, though this movie definitely kind of felt like an excuse to just have as many fan-favourite characters in one movie as possible. (It was the 20th anniversary though so I'll give it to them.) I did really like Usopp's little arc in this movie - any time Usopp gets to shine makes me happy, and Usopp carrying Luffy's unconscious body across the battlefield got me emotional... Also Mihawk's like ten second appearance in this movie just to show up Zoro at meteor-slicing skills was funny as hell.
5. Strong World: This one was pretty good! Cool setting, cool outfits, and fun sub-divisions of the crew. (Zoro & Chopper, Sanji & Usopp, and Brook & Franky & Robin are such good mini groups.) Also it's sort of a thematic successor to Nami's backstory which hits right in the heart.
4. Curse of the Sacred Sword: This one actually had a very cool premise, and some fun character pair ups. (Loved Luffy and Usopp's little side quest.) Also Zoro's history with Saga was gay as hell, and Saga and Maya and Toma were all great characters, I liked them a lot.
3. Film Red: The vibes in this movie are cool as hell, especially towards the end. Kinda surreal and trippy with cool music. Also fun to flesh out Shanks and Luffy's backstory, and Uta is a cool character herself. Also Law and Barto and Coby and Helmeppo are all in this one and I <3 them. (Kind of the same vibe as Stampede when it comes to piling on the fan-favourite characters but I liked the plot more than Stampede so. It gets to be higher on the list.)
2. Film Gold: I love a good casino heist. Straw Hats doing a casino heist?? Fun as hell. Love that Zoro is the one who needs rescuing in this one. Love that Nami has a whole thing with her thief rival ex girlfriend. Also maybe it's because of the heist structure, but the plotting of this movie feels tighter than a lot of the others. Would definitely watch this one again.
1. Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island: Still my favourite one!! This one is just so cool and bizarre. This one and Red are the only ones that I've watched multiple times. I love the vibes and the art style. Love that it turns into a freaky horror movie by the end. If you're only going to watch one of them, watch this one.
Anyways, these are all of the ones I've watched so far... Are any of the other ones worth watching? Let me know!

Rescue Bots x One Piece
Do you think that when the kids are back at home after a lot of adventures, their pirates crews when meeting the kids families, would Sanji do a Sanji thing and start simping for Anna Barabova (Frankie's new mom), Dani (Cody's big sister) or even maybe Quickshadow 😂😅???
For Cody of course would be hard different as even tho the Burns and the Bots are angry Cody would stop them because he knows how strong Kid and his crew are... unless we say that in all this time the crew warm up to Cody and do feel sorry.
Part of this answer depends how long the kids were gone, ether a few months to a year or more maybe.
All the same, it's a heartwarming reunion for a lot of people.
Frankie or Greenie as she's called among the Strawhats has a great time showing her family along with the Rescue Team and the Bots.
Everyone is both impressed and a bit freaked out by Frankys robot body, with Anna Baranova horrified how anyone could put that much robotic prosthetics into there body all on their own😣
But it dies down, and Doc Greene is an instant fan asking so many questions about how Franky's body and the rest of his inventions work. Anna would be a lot more friendlier but would try to ask Franky to put on some pants, especially in front of Cece. Though she's pleasantly surprised at how brilliant Franky is despite his eccentric behaviors.
Chase would comment that Franky was being indecent, possibly criminally so 🤨
But Blades would try to copy his dance 😆
Speaking of the bots, Luffy, Usopp, Chopper, and Franky are instant fans of the bots. Eyes sparkling at their shiny armor and at the way they transformed into different vehicles. Luffy would stretch to jump on Heatwave shoulder and immediately ask him to join his crew or Blades after seeing him fly🤩
Sanji is a gentleman to all women, it dosent matter what age or even species they are. So he be incredibly respectful to Dr. Baranova and Quickshadow, but you better believe that he'll do a noodle dance when he sees Dani or even Madeline Pynch.
"Dani! My darling! My dear rescuing angel! Please save me! My heart is in need of your sweet medical care! One only you can cure"!😍
He's swiftly cut off by ether a hit from Nami or a confrontation from Taylor if he's there.
Kade be pretty mad if he started flirting with Hayley but he get told off too for looking at Nami and Robin a little longer than he should😅
Though the biggest person who may not have made the best impression would be Brook. While being a singing talking skeleton made him extra cool to a lot of the Griffin Rock Team, especially the bots who are interested in learning about human anatomy and think the expossed bone structure is very educational, he looses a lot of respect when he goes around asking his....underwear question...😒
Kade threatened to bury him while Chief Burns was close to socking him😤
Plus Blades thought he was kinda scary.
But after a while, they make up, loving Brooks music and seeing what a kind person he was to her. His jokes are funny too, and the 45-degree angle one has Graham and Boulder laughing!
He even find a connection between himself and Baranova, given that they were left isolated for years. Him at sea and her underwater.
Chopper is an instant favorite with Dani and the other girls, along with the more animal loving bots. But what really makes him a fast friend to Dani and Dr. Baranova is his medical knowledge and they sir and talk about the best care for things like first aid or what kind of rescue needed a special kind if medical care. Chopper thought Dani wad the coolest given that she rescued and treated people as part of her job.
Usopp, being an inventory himself, thinks Geiffin Rock is amazing and would talk to Doc Greene about his inventions. The pair even swapping stories over how some of there inventions went wild.
Robin is another favorite among the scientists, offering insights into their world and its history to anyone intrested. Uncle Woodrow would like her and to hear her stories with the crew and the different islands they went too.
Doc Greene is just fascinated about Devil Fruits and goes around asking each member about theirs. He's stretched Luffys skin, shook hands with an arm Robin sprouted, asked Brook to show him his "soul", and on Chopper and his shape-shifting abilities.
Zoro is really interested in the bots andvwonders how good they could fight😏
The Rescue Team, though, is worried and nervous at the fact he carries swords, with Chase saying he needs to be jailed for bring illegally armed.
Luffy thinks Griffin Rock is cool though a little bit boring till an emergency happens. Hethinks the Burns are cool for being heros but still says he never be one. Kade likes Luffy and finds him funny, also that he like Kade sandwiches.
When its eventually time to leave Frankie cries, as much as she wanted to be with her parents the Strawhats were her family now too. She wanted to see Luffy become King of the Pirates and see the others complete there dreams but she wants to be with her dad and new Mom.
It's a hard goodbye.
Now onto Pricsilla.
Pricsilla tries to introduce her mother to the crew and Law, tell her about her adventures and her Devil Fruit Power. But her mother, Madeline Pynch m, remain polite but cold. Even brushing off the crew members who tried to talk with her and tell her what a wonderful daughter she has, even cute Bepo!
The only ones who were friendly were the Burns, the Greene Family, and the Bots.
Law didn't like her, the cold and calculating eyes of Madeline Pynch reminded him too much of Doflamingo or members of his organization. Measuring people's worth and how the stock of the situation could benefit them.
Also Madeline isn't very welcoming of Priscillas powers asking her not to use them or even show them to anyone. I. Her words there "creepy and unsightly" though Madeline would contemplate on maybe using them for a scheme.
It does break Priscilla heart, but this was her mom and her home, she was back and needed to go back to normal...right?
In a quiet moment Law offers a place on his ship for Priscilla, permanently. He understood this was her home universe but if she could see herself any other place then he be willing to take her on his crew again.
Priscilla almost cries as this was one of the nicest things Law has said to her.
But what should she choose?
Now we get onto the real angsty part of this crossover, Cody.
Again how Cody is depends on the timeline.
If hebwas older he would have learned at this point how to act like a member of Kids Crew. Being kind of haughty and tough. Imagine everyone's surprise seeing an older Cody who comes off as rude, dressed like a punk, and carrying a weapon 😰
But if it was a still a rather young Cody, he may just be really quiet.
Though all the same he does break into tears and the hisvfamily, along with the Greens, and the Bots ate so happy and relieved to see him...with a metal Griffin?
But slowly they start to see something wrong.
Unlike the pirate crew that Frankie and Priscilla had and where eagerly introducing to the others. Cody was quiet about his, only introducing his captain with a nod calling him "Captain Kid".
Chief Burns knows there is something wrong with his son, Cody was a bot full of smiles and warmth. But now it feels like he's just a shadow of his former self. With a scared face and a hard look in his eyes.
The pirates he was with don't seem friendly ether all glaring or looking apathetic at the Griffin Rock residents. But did have interested or wary looks to the bots.
All the same Chief Burns tries to be polite going up to Kid and thanking him for " taking care of my son and bring him back"
(The next scene depends of which kind of Kid this is. Kid from Wano may have been a little humbled but still determined and arrogant. In ether case if Cody was with him in Wano and supported him with the rest of the crew against the Beast Pirate, Kid might have just nodded at that. Cody may have just been a useless little kid but he was loyal and proved himself tough enough to make it on his crew. He knew Cody wanted to be home and for his time in the crew for good and bad he may have been soften enough to just let him just be with his family.
Pre Kaido Caaptain Kid is another story...)
Kid gave Chief Burns a look before laughing cruelly "Back? Who says he's staying"?
The turning around he gestures his crew back to the ship "I don't know how the he'll we got here but as soon as it's figured out we're leaving, I'll be taking my crew on a side of the island" Kidd glares at Law and Luffy "You better keep out of my way Strawhat, Trafalgar"
As he walks off he turns his head to Cody and Airazor and says "All of us"
Chief Butns could see his son stiffen but all the same Cody gestured for Airazor to move and silently he began to walk back with Kid and the Crew.
His family was shocked, there happy reunion ending too soon. There little brother leaving them, being forced to walk away
"Cody"! his dad called trying to catch up with him.
Kade followed yelling "Cody you've been gone for months! And just got back and now your leaving?! Why are you even listening to this guy-"
He didn't get a chance to finish as too fantastic a curved blade was at his neck.
"I watch what you say to Captain Kidd" said a masked man, Killer.
Everyone gasp and Hayley cried out in fear for Kade!
Heatwave moved to help his partner, a giant hand ready to pin or snatch the knife wielding human away from his partner.
But the-
"Repel"
Heatwave was sent falling down on his back. He was shocked, everyone was, that a Autobot could just be sent tobbling over like a block of wood.
A dark laugh from Kid rang out at he turned to the bots "So my power can work on these tin cans...this should be fun" 😈
But before he could move at the panicked bots a voice was heard.
"Weren't you leaving, Eustass"? Said Law
Kidd glared at him only to get an equally strong look back from not only him but Luffy as well.
Kidd scoffed and continued walking. Killer let Kade go who nearly collapsed at how close he was to losing his head.
Cody was watching his family worried, hesitant to try to check on Kade. His family and friends looked at him begging him to stay.
But Cody felt a firm but gentle hand on his shoulder, Cody looked to see Killer who gave him a quiet shake of the head before guiding him back with there group.
The Burns family was a mess, they just got there youngest back but now he was forced to leave.
How could they have let this happen?
(In the end things get worse before they get better)

Modern AUs you say? I have a few ideas, despite being so tired my brain is oatmeal mush. Robin is definitely a world renowned linguist and phd in world history. Absolutely obsessed with preserving historical locations and figuring out the mysteries of the past. Franky is an engineer or runs his own autobody shop, he does all the sickest upgrades and mods for anyone who can afford them. Usopp is an author, just think of all the tall tales he spouts off. He is especially well liked and known by children and teens, but has a fair chunk of adult fans too. Brook is kinda obvious. Soul King (x We love that skeleton musician.
LUMI MY BEAUTIFUL BRAINED FRIEND ILYSM
I agree with all of that, it fits so well 🥺🥺🥺 bless you!!

Gonna be critiquing a bit one piece, but don't mind it,
it's very long but it's light minded, it bother me, sure, but it's not like it gonna make me drop or whatever, it just bother me and i have thought about it as to why.
It's mostly long cause i lose myself in my point and end up repeating a lot
THERE IS SPOILERS FOR UP TO WANO
Tldr : it's basically to relation/familly and the theme of freedom
The thing that, according to me, may make pre-time skip more special than post ts,
Is the people making the group.
Pre-timeskip it's honestly just a bunch of random people, sure, luffy is Hero Of The Marine Garp's grandson and usopp is yassop's son
But usopp also is just anyone, he's known to also be who "we would all be" if we were in op, no special power, no amazing and incredible talent that one in a million would have, he's a creative boy who trained his skills because he had a dream and his father was his idol
Other than that, nami is a random kid, sanji was a random kid, cook who was a pirate adopted child , chopper is a reindeer who got excluded for difformity*2, robin sure, she's a bit special but like anyone that would have survived in her stead in ohara, franky is a amazing carpenter's and mermaid adopted child
None of them got really very special connection and family other than luffy and usopp, and maybe robin, brook already had multiple connection to Roger with laboon and straight up having met him
The' post time skip arrive,
Sanji is a king's son and a genetically modified human, alright, fine,
Franky knew roger and all and was straight up invited on the crew, amazing, fun, alright
Zoro is ryuma's descendant ("god of swords") ??? (Not even revealed in story but sbs plz 💀)
Already, the whole "strawhat heads" are full of big name who got strenght in their blood and high name, he's not a big name in the crew, but i remind again usopp is "emperor's (shanks) official sniper" son's
And it's not even limited to in-crew,
O-tama, which other than momo was a big attachement for Luffy to wano (and for his brother too) turns out to be a kurozumi, (half crew) vivi who's already a princess of the people who were there when the wg was founded turns out to be a D.
It honestly makes me afraid for character such as franky /and especially nami/ because "we don't know who their parents are" (and i refuse to think it's not tom and bell-mere. Whoever anyone else are their genitors it don't matter, they are not relevent to them)
The whole first half of one piece was all about liberty, building your own life, "following wills" instead of having a destiny, the whole bond is not blood,
(and it still follow post-ts for a bit with doffy and cora having the exact same origins but having two entirely different life and way of seeing and doing things, and cora and law considering each other as brothers, when corazon doesn't consider doffy his brother but doffy hold very long onto him being his brother and law being his familly still, family is a choice)
Then the second half- just- put everyone in a place that all make them seems it's fated, it's in their blood,
Where does the freedom appear in being the best swordmaster when your grandpa was "the god of swordmaster", the best sniper when your father is also the best sniper, etc etc
I don't know if that's the case, i hope not, but it looks to me that oda did it for sanji, then saw how many fans liked their favorite character having more to their title please their fan, and just, kept going
I'd argue being a random guy and being super high level is more impressive
Anyway, it's fanservice.
I have nothing against character having high relations and thing under their name right from the beggining (especially if that ties with what they're doing/why they join) (vivi princess, robin, Franky w pluto, yams being kaido (emperor) son, brook is albeit a bit unnecessary but logic nonetheless)
But giving them when it does nothing but make them less "special" because they were in fact Special From Somebody Else, is shitty to do in excessiveness, especially when it bring nothing (why does zoro being ryuma descendant is important ??? Especially since that undervalue ryuma giving him shusui ! It could have been a bit better if like, someone saw zoro's face, recognized the damyo who "was known as ryuma's descendant" (even if none of that is said/shown) traits in him and decided to let him keep the shusui it would have been still disappointing but at least it would have built something ! )
Again, the possibility of him going "oh yeah ! Nami has celestian blood that's why she's so good at detecting climate changes and atmosphere in general ! It's also why she can hit luffy (as we were shown innate haki there) !" And then, idk, turning out to be birkan (originaly moon people, same as ener) and in fact it wasn't pirate it was the governement who faked an attack to get rid of her family and bell-mere suspected that a bit and she had in fact illegally run away from the marine and that's also why she lived far from the village and didn't get marine-retirement money and was so poor) is possible.
And in fact it's also possible he doesn't even include it properly in the story but just drop the whole lore in a data book, just like he could bring back ener to give a reason for it.
And all that "family lore bring so much" feel so much, muuuuch saltier considering his answer in an sbs of someone asking why nearly all the mother are killed or unknown being "mother are the antonym of adventure"
Anyway, i feel like oda forgot a lot about freedom as he advanced in one piece

Strong World and Sexism
This is a debate I've seen around the fandom but haven't really participated in yet. I'm just shy of the 400-episode mark, so that has something to do with it. But it's been on my mind lately and was something I really couldn't ignore in the Strong World movie, which I saw tonight.
(I want to just throw in here that, as a whole, I really enjoyed this movie. It feels super fitting that the music got this huge upgrade... right after Brook joined the crew. And it looked fucking amazing. Like, did this movie make it into theaters outside of Japan? I feel like that's kind of a recent thing for anime movies... but if it didn't, it should have. I may be a decade (or more) late to everything, but I hope other fans got the joy of a theater experience for something that looked and sounded this good.)
The story was the only part that was a little weak. And that weakness mainly came from the misogynistic vibes I was getting.
Where to start? I guess I'll start with how Naruto was a huge cornerstone of my love of anime, growing up. A show that is well-known for how terribly its female characters are written. Honestly, it's become a big point of reference when judging other anime on that point. And One Piece has avoided a lot of the issues Naruto has.
While being a show that largely designs its female characters in a way that... shows off their physical assets a bit more? However you want to describe it. The girls who are meant to be seen as attractive tend to follow the same design scheme: big boobs, unreasonable curves, very little clothing to cover them.
And I want to mention that because it's something I've seen held up as an example of One Piece being sexist... and I have to disagree on that point. I don't feel like design alone is enough to be sexist. It's all about how a character wears their design. The women I've met in One Piece are all confident and powerful enough that they can dress however the hell they want. It becomes sexist when it doesn't feel like they're in control. And it's a huge selling point for me that Robin and Nami pull their weight on this crew. Robin is as effective a fighter as any of them. They literally could not survive without Nami's navigational skills, and she's begun doing her part in the battles a lot more too.
(Now, I'm not saying there are never over-the-top moments with the outfits especially... There's a scene in this movie where Nami makes an effort to pull her shirt down to cover her stomach... but doesn't seem to think twice about how her shorts don't cover her butt. Which is... Whatever. That much is fanservice, plain and simple.)
What bothered me in this movie is that it really shoved the girls into damsel in distress roles. Even Robin-- who barely has any lines in this movie-- has a moment where she's overpowered and captured. There's a distressing amount of... 'The boys get to be badass while the girls need to be rescued' in Strong World. The entire plot revolves around Nami being kidnapped. And that could have gone a lot worse... She does manage to rescue herself and only returns to her kidnapper as a way to try and sacrifice herself so they'd leave her crew (and entire island back home) in peace. And even then, she's still working to undermine his plan... At no point does she ever completely give in.
I think that just stings a little extra because it's coming right on the heels of something very similar happening to Nami on Thriller Bark. (She gets kidnapped by an enemy who tries to force her to marry him.) Which really isn't a trend I want them to continue. It's a little disappointing to see it doubled down on, because it really isn't a problem I felt the show had leading up to this point. I can't imagine them taking a huge step back with the sexism after 400 episodes of the girls being strong and respectable enough to overlook any fanservice... But I guess I'll be on guard for it.
I guess I just want to say that for how old this series is... The way it treats its female characters has actually been a really pleasant experience.

I promised on twitter to give a review of movie red with a focus on FRobin.
Sadly there is not much to say about the movie FRobin-wise. So, I'll try to give an overall impression about the movie without giving (hopefully) any spoilers!
Film RED Review!
As said, there is not much FRobin in the movie, Franky and Robin stand beside each other once. But there were many scenes that were only short and so hard to analyse.
But compared to that there wasn't any shipable scenes for Robin at all! At least if you don't count the fact that she seemed to hang around Brook a lot (which honestly is in this whole debate a highly underestimated contender!!).
What I really enjoyed was the soundtrack! I'm normally not a fan of songs that I don't understand but "Film Red" has an amazing soundtrack and I don't mean the songs by Uta (Ado) but the overall motifs!
Some felt so familiar and I can't put my finger on and I can't recall the songs (my brain is more one for remembering stories than melodies).
Either way it was great because it really underlined the overall athmospheres of the scenes.
THIS IS NOT A MUSICAL! There is a lot of music but it's not a muscial!
Some things seemed illogical. There were a couple of scenes that made me think "excuse me? Who would act like that in that situation?" but compared to some other movies it was very linear and logical.
I heard before that the Strawhat crew is not as present in the movie but honestly, it felt better than some others. They all had the same amount of screentime, sticking together as a crew.
I liked that because in some movies you only get focus on a few characters and others are put on the backburner. So maybe the Strawhats overall weren't around as much (also because of the flashbacks to the story of Luffy and Uta) but it didn't feel like it! They all got to fight, they all got lines and they all worked together!
That is a HUGE plus in my book.
Which reminds me: I love Brook and good for him! Lmao
Anyway another point about this movie is something that might change the idea for some but... both Yasopp and Shanks still get the "Worst Dad" award.
Really... what the heck? XD I was not expecting THAT but yeah not going to say much more about it...
BUT SERIOUSLY?! ESPECIALLY NOT WITH THE SCENE SHORTLY BEFORE THAT?!
I WANT TO SAY THINGS! I CAN'T WITHOUT SPOILING STUFF. So I won't. God Damn It! XD
But! If you are a fan of Shanks, there will be at least two scenes where we get a full look onto his chest so look forward to that.
Also we saw a bit more of Shanks crew and how strong they are. Fascinating!
Another thing to look forward to are the second outfits for Coby and Helmeppo. I haven't seen a lot because the animation was very fast but what I saw looked really good!
One thing that got clear to me and that very fast was one plot twist. The second plot twist not so much... mostly because I hoped that would never be a plot twist in One Piece XD (I should have finished my fanfiction years ago gdi!)
But again, it was well done. Except that the whole thing could have been easily avoided xDDDD God, stupid idiots!
Special mention that Momonga was part of the movie. I love him. Also holy shit Borsalino you crazy mofo! Issho could have done more too... overall did the Marines not shine... except Coby and Helmeppo! Also Blueno, suprisingly!
The BM Pirates that were there also did a good job! I despise Big Mom and her crew but the family-love the siblings have is really cute. Can't deny that. I had a couple of good laughs too!
Now on another note... the underlying theme overall is... like... serious. There are very serious undertones in the movie I won't get into right now because again that would be spoilers. But yeah... after the movie one girl said she almost cried and while I wasn't even near to crying I can understand if that movie touches you.
Last thing! I also now know what is up with this little guy and how Franky reacted to him:
Tumblr media
Not really but also kinda what I expected. XD
Anyway let's give it two more months and I'll go deeper into the analysis if you want to hear it!
Everyone who still looks forward to see the movie! Have fun!

i know you're not catched up yet but what are you're favourite one piece arcs?
Hey Anon! Right, I'm not caught up yet, for now I just started Punk Hazard, which I believe is the start of the Dressrosa saga (I use this to navigate through all the many arcs, superarcs and sagas designation).
So considering where I'm at, this is my ranking of the superarcs of One Piece, from fave to least favorite:
Water Seven/Enies Lobby: currently that's for me the peak of One Piece on every aspect (art, writing, character dynamics, etc). Couldn't stop reading, cried my eyes out and also squealed every few pages, it had it all: Merry's demise, Usopp vs Luffy, Robin's past and fears, meeting Franky, the first direct defeat of the world government, etc.
Alabasta : the arc that made me fall in love with One Piece. I think it took me a week to read from Alabasta to the end of Enies Lobby in December 2022. I was completely drowning in it. I still miss Vivi by the way.
Skypeia : not a fan fave from what I gathered, but this arc was original and kicked ass, so I loved it !
Impel down & Marineford : amazing art and action, awesome new and returning characters, incredible double page spreads everywhere but 1) I missed Luffy's crew T_T ; 2) I spoiled myself about Ace's true identity and his fate way before, so I think the emotional part of these arcs was lost on me ; 3) I would have rather had some parts of the Luffy/Ace/Sabo & Dadan flashback before or during the arcs: I think I would have felt sadder about the broken bond between Luffy and Ace because I would have understood more what linked them
Arlong Park : the arc that made me go from a casual bedtime reader to "uh, that's interesting" and start reading more intently. Also it's a pretty meaningful arc : it's the first time the straw hats started to work together as a crew, we got stronger hints that the world government was a very antagonistic figure, Nami's backstory hit me right in the feels, etc
To the grand Line: Meeting Vivi and Chopper were nice and I loved the overall vibe on the going Merry between the crewmates that was "RIDE OR DIE!!? WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO??" !
Thriller Bark; Romance dawn: I enjoyed meeting Brook, but I wasn't a big fan of Moria's powers and the whole intrigue happening on Thriller Bark felt a bit too much for me. Loved the friendship between Nami and Lola though. Same for Romance Dawn, it was mostly the characters' introduction so no real plot yet, but it was very fun.
Sabaody Archipelago & Amazon Lily : a lot happened and I think I got a bit overwhelmed between meeting the supernovae, the celestial dragons, learning more about slavery and racism relating to fishmen and merfolk. Then everything exploded all at once (literally, though I'm thankful for Luffy's punch) and I was like "????!!!" at how fast it escalated. For Amazon Lily, meeting Boa Hancock and learning even more about slavery & celestial dragons was interesting, but otherwise that's it.
Fishman Island: gosh I'm so torn about this arc, because I was SO looking forward to it after the timeskip and... it took me like 3 weeks to read through it because it was a bit boring. The worst part is, I absolutely loved the whole premise, especially with Queen Otohime trying to end racism for her people, Hody being basically Arlong 2.0, the callback to Nami's backstory, Jinbe's amazing character joining the crew but... idk, I wasn't sold on the whole battle with the Noah ship and Shirahoshi being one of the most powerful and sought after characters for being Poseidon. It was okay, but I think I had too much expectations.
Long ring long land : aside from meeting Aokiji, I don't see the point of this arc.
I hope it answers your question. Have a good day Anon!

I wanna talk about my issues with One Piece
Disclaimer 1: No, I do not dislike/hate One Piece, I quite enjoy it actually. Just because I have criticism towards it doesn’t mean I don’t like it. And if you really enjoy One Piece, I encourage you to not think too much of what I’m about to say in this post and keep doing whatever you like! (also don’t worry, this will not be a fully negative post and I'll keep it as respectable as possible)
Disclaimer 2: Remember that people have different opinions and the problems that I find may not be problems for someone else. Also, this post will have spoilers about the events from the manga (because I follow the series by reading the manga, not by watching the anime)
Alright, we’ve got that out of the way
You see, I really do like One Piece. I was first introduced to the anime when I was little and it was one of the first anime I watched. I loved the concept, the feelings, and most importantly I loved the bond between the characters. It still has one of my favorite scenes from all of the anime ever, like the Brook scene, the Robin scene, Sanji’s past, and many others. The first individual arcs for each of the crew member are something I hold very dear in my heart and they’re done very, very well
Eventually, I started to follow the manga since it’s easier for me to read than to watch, and let’s be honest, the anime has serious pacing issues because of following the manga too closely
However… the story has issues as well, and I started to notice them for a while, but I truly felt them from the beginning of the Whole Cake Island arc
I wanted to see if there are people that make note of those issues, but the series is almost universally complimented by the anime community and it’s constantly called the best shonen/story
And I’m like… no. No, it’s not, and there can’t be one to begin with, because this will forever be subjective. And I was never a fan of holding something to such a high pedestal, because it brings too much expectations and it’s harder to criticize that said thing when there are people that treat it like it’s a perfect work made by gods
Then I saw people that criticized it, but either in an ironic way (which they keep bringing the “It’s too long” bs into discussion), or in a way that makes it seem like the series is garbage
And this is not right either. Of course One Piece is not bad, and the fact that people keep bringing shallow arguments when they attempt to make fun of it it’s very old and tiring. I know it’s easier to call something names without putting thought into it, but there’s nothing entertaining into pointing and laughing at something like you’re in primary school
So, since I personally didn’t see people talking about the issues I found about One Piece, I decided that I should talk about it myself. Who knows, maybe someone will read into this and agree
Or maybe not, which it may be more probable haha
Without delaying this further, let’s begin!
Okay, let’s begin with the obvious: the female characters are handled poorly (the side ones mostly)
No, I’m not talking about their design, I’m talking about the way they’re written. No, I’m not really talking about their utility either-
Let me explain. At the beginning, most of the female characters are shown to have potential of being interesting, by showing fun personalities and intriguing morals. But later on, they suffer in different ways by either becoming underutilized, too simple character wise, or black/white without room of moral ambiguity
There’s nothing wrong with characters having black/white morals, but when you have many male characters that are morally ambiguous while you don’t have female ones, it gets noticeable. Especially when you have female characters that have the potential to be morally ambiguous but they end up falling on either of two sides, which is “with you” or “against you”
Two examples that I can give are Reiju and Pudding. They both showed hints of wanting to do their own thing for their own benefit, which I was excited about since it could have been used to show more complexity about them, but they end up being on the “good side” (narrative wise) at the end
Honestly, Pudding’s character was what suffered the most with this change into one side, and that was the moment when I got tired of the trope “the character’s good now because they love a member from the team”. And to make it clear, my problem is not that she ended up loving Sanji, my problem is that she got rid of all/most of the past morals and beliefs after a freaking single compliment
This may be because I’m aroace, but I really don’t get this change just because she fell in love
Now, I know many male characters end up being neglected in the story as well, but I would put this more in the issue of having too many characters. When you have new characters for each arc, and there are many arcs, it gets harder and harder to have significant and different characters. I respect and appreciate the effort, but at one point you have to stop making new characters and try to reuse the already existing ones more if you want make them more memorable and impactful
Also, I have issues with Sanji’s character, but since I actually saw people criticizing him before, I’ll tell them shortly: he has lost potential of being more complex with the arcs involving him, the author doesn’t seem to know what to do with his character beside making it repeatedly understood that he’s kind and he loves women (with times being annoying), and the times when it’s hinted to be something more with his arc at the end it’s once again resumed with “He’s very kind”
And I have to make note of the time in the Wano Country arc when he asked Robin to save him. I don’t have an issue with him asking for help, I have an issue with the execution. Like, no offense but it was too exaggerated and the dialogue wasn’t that good either to balance it out
I get the author’s intention, but it really could have been done better
I’m really sorry for Sanji’s character, because he’s one of my favorites, but at this point I think it’s because of what he can be instead of what he is
And since I talked briefly about the female characters, I guess it’s time to talk about Big Mom, which she’s kind of a mixed bag
Her characterization in the Whole Cake Island arc was not good for many reasons: her character and personality was flat, she was either reduced as a joke or just a threat, and my god her backstory made me feel so off-
Listen, if it was only her accidentally eating her mother and other kids, it would have been fine and solid. But why the heck did the author make a plot twist with the mother being bad and not caring for any of them in the first place? Was it really needed? Was it really needed to make Big Mom’s act look less bad by making the mother bad? Why does this arc have two twist characters?? Wasn’t one enough-
I’m sorry, but after that reveal I couldn’t feel bad for Big Mom anymore because I couldn’t feel for the mother. That reveal wasn’t necessary
And I doubt this, but if there would be someone trying to explain why that thing was good on an ideologically/philosophically level, I have one thing to say: An ideological interpretation does not make me like something I don’t to begin with. Anything can be interpreted deeper than it’s shown, and I use those interpretations for things that I already like to make them more meaningful and impressive, but they don’t excuse faults in writing or scenes that I don’t think were handled well. Maybe some people do, but I don’t
I don’t care if One Piece has 100 layers of philosophical depth to it, all I personally care about are the characters and storytelling
Going back to Big Mom, I have mixed feelings about her because she was handled way better in the Wano Country arc. It showed more of her past in an actual interesting and fitting way, it showed more of her personality and she actually felt like a mature, powerful and competent character while keeping her integrity. She was a well balanced character and I appreciate that
But now I have to talk about my last significant issue with the series: the pacing
This was more visible in the Whole Cake Island arc (at least in the second half), but I also felt it in the last arc as well. I don’t know why but it seems that the actions from the arc are going one after the other with little time for reaction between them. One of the author’s strongest points is how well he handles the emotional moments with the characters, but aside from a few short moments, I’ve barely had time to properly process what’s going on because there was no time for it, and I feel like I’ve been through two consecutive action arcs without having reaction. I constantly feel that the author is rushing with the wrong elements for the sake of not having the arcs too big-
Like, the Whole Cake Island arc didn’t feel like a well paced, developed and memorable arc. It felt like a checklist
The Wano Country arc was better, but it still felt like that in some parts, with the only difference of having more meaningful moments. The gear 5th moment for example, that one was very good and it represents the whole series so, so well! But this arc already had issues of keeping with the action, without a room to breathe, for too long. And when you do that, the immersion you have with the fight breaks which affects the interest
Man, I really miss seeing the crew members interacting with each other and showing more of their bond, and it has been so long since I saw this
But I’m still hopeful about this series, because the arc just ended and the next one will happen with them being together! And this is what I want to concentrate on: I want to be hopeful that the issues that I felt will be resolved/ameliorated, and I want to be hopeful that I’ll get to feel once again attached to this story like I used to! The end of this arc is what made me still feel hope at least
The thing that One Piece really needs is room for showing more emotions and less consecutive actions. I know it’s a shonen series, but I’ve been watching and reading a lot of shonen in my life, so I know it’s possible to have a balance of action and reaction in this genre, by either having slower moments or by properly incorporating the reaction in the action
So, the conclusion to all of this is: if I hear one more time the criticism of One Piece being too long or just “trash”, I will start thinking that the literature from school was indeed important to learn for having critical thinking skills among people. And this, is truly terrifying

Spin the Bottle
Tumblr media
➪ a/n: first post wooo!! I’m hoping I did good writing for them. I only excluded Chopper, Brook and Jimbei for obvious reasons but if you’d like me to include Franky pls let me know! also I’m still organizing my blog aesthetic ugh
➪ includes: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Robin, Nami
➪ warnings: none! just fluff, gn! reader
Tumblr media
Monkey D. Luffy
Any game is destined to catch his attention. Games are good for helping cure the curse of boredom while floating on the sea
He doesn’t quite get the point of it though, a kiss doesn’t seem like much of a winning prize nor did it seem like that much of a competition but he’s still willing to give it a try
Especially if Sanji promises snacks for the game night, how could he ever say no?
The promise of you joining draws him in even more, a chance to have fun with his crush seems like something he’d enjoy
Luffy guarantees everyone will play, egging on the others to kiss whoever the bottle landed on no matter their protests, and because of this he has no chance to chicken out when he spins it and it lands on you
He’s not the most shy about it, a blush might flare up along his cheeks but he still gives you a comforting and wide smile before shuffling closer to kiss you
Luffy isn’t the most experienced kisser, he’ll probably default to a quick peck on the lips while carefully cradling your face in his hands, but the taste of sea salt stains your lips reminding you of the kiss
Incredibly blushy around you after it, but he gets over it quick and starts spending more time by your side
Roronoa Zoro
Not the biggest fan of most games. It’s not that he doesn’t like them it’s just there’s plenty of other things he’d rather do than participate
He’d heard your laughter among the others howls of entertainment. He silently debated with himself on whether or not to join the dumb game and try his chances
But with a couple of drinks and liquid courage running through his veins he grows a new sort of confidence, plopping down in the close knit circle of the strawhats to try his chances
Although he’d be lying if he denied that it wasn’t eating at him watching the bottle spin aimlessly around and wondering if it’d land on his lovely crush
That smug grin on his makes its appearance after seeing the bottle land on you, and it only made him more satisfied and cocky to see the blush bloom along your skin
Beforehand, he checked to make sure you were okay with it before pulling you close and tipping your chin up to bring you into a kiss
The kiss is somewhat messy, mostly due to him being slightly drunk, but it's bold. Warms lips hungrily sealing over yours in a starved and rough kiss, begging for more of your lips and leaving you breathless
He doesn’t treat you much differently afterwards unless you show interest, if you do he’ll tend to be more flirty and pulling you away to spend more time with him
Vinsmoke Sanji
Do you think this man will say no to a game of spin the bottle? A chance to kiss the lovely Nami, Robin and even y/n, it sounds like a dream come true to him
With hearts in his eyes and his love for you on his mind, he’s beyond excited for the game and already spoiling you with treats and snacks he made in the kitchen earlier that day
Despite the chance of him having to kiss any of his crewmates that he’d rather not *cough cough zoro cough* he’s more than willing to play and try his chances to land on you and steal a kiss
The whole time that the bottle is spinning around, he’s babbling to you and the crew how excited he is to kiss any of the lovely ladies of the crew or you. It’s entertaining to watch
Pray for him, because when the bottle stops spinning and is pointed straight at you a nosebleed is bound to happen. It’s going to be a mess but he just loves you very much
He’s so delicate about it once he collects himself. All of his touches and gentle and sweet as he pulls you close to him, holding you close to his chest and enveloping you in a comforting warmth
The taste of smoke and mint gum take over your senses. His lips are careful and calculated, sweetly melting against yours and moving in synchronized tandem, stealing your breath
A mess around you for the rest of the night, nosebleeds are gonna be a problem because he gets one every time he looks at you and remembers how amazing the kiss with you was
Usopp
A complete and utter mess when the strawhats propose spin the bottle as a game to play. He’s filled with worries about absolutely everything that might happen if he joins the game
What happens if it lands on his crush?? What happens if it doesn’t? What happens if it does and you reject him? He doubts he’d be able to live with the shame of that, he might as well pass away right there
With enough coaxing from you and Luffy dragging him in like he has any other choice, he finally caves and joins you all in the game but is jittering with nervousness
He’s sweating literal bullets when he leans in to the spin the bottle, even more when it’s actually spinning and he has to wait for who it will land on
Almost jumps out of his skin when it lands on you, but tries to cover it up by boasting about how lucky you are to kiss the great captain Usopp
You’ll have to take the lead by kissing him first. He jolts against your lips at first and is kind of stiff, but eventually starts to calm down and get into it. It’s careful and sweet and you can feel the heat radiating off his face
Freaks out whenever he sees you afterwards, but with enough motivation from the crew he tries to talk to you more. Give him some time to come around, he eventually will!
Nico Robin
It doesn’t even faze her when it’s offered as a party game for you all to play. She loves the crew antics with her whole heart and is always pleased to join in on any of them
Although she tends to stay off to the side more, just observing between sips of her drink with the occasional laugh at one of your crewmates pulling something stupid
Thankfully, it doesn’t take her much to play along with everyone. She’s confident enough in herself to not make a fool of herself and honestly doesn’t mind giving it a try, especially with you involved in the game
She exudes a calm confidence when she spins, her cool facade never breaking as the bottle twirls around on the wooden floor of the sunny. It only breaks into a happy smile when it lands on you
A pair of arms appears on the floor beside you and nudge you towards the ravenette, and she kneels close to you with her face only a few inches away from your own
She shows experience in how her lips move perfectly against your own, dragging out whatever reaction that she wants. They slot against your own like a missing puzzle piece and it makes your heart race
She brushes it off as if it was nothing, but is happy to talk more with you as the night comes towards an end
Nami
Want her to play spin the bottle with the crew? You better be ready to pay up, she isn’t going to offer anything up for free. Especially a kiss from her, but for someone like you she might be willing to cut you a deal
Sanji’s pretty willing to pay the fee to get her to join but she ends up joining just because she thinks it’ll be fun, she gets a break from working on the map of the island you recently visited
She’s just as confident as Robin but definitely more playful about it, telling the others that she’ll give them the best kiss of their life for only 5,000 beli till the others complain too much about it
Though when it comes to her crush, she’s willing to cut you a once and a lifetime deal. You get a kiss from her for free, and she’s going to make sure you’ll be coming back for more
She’s not that experienced but she’s still amazingly good at her, her glossy lips feel so warm and sweet against yours, tasting faintly of her beloved tangerines. Slow and teasing making you hungry for more, but she pulls away with a sneaky grin leaving you speechless
She’s extra flirty and drawing you in more afterwards, maybe you can sneak another free of charge

these are what i think one piece characters' middle school phases would be (technically some of them are out of middle school, but it was the same era, so it counts):
luffy - warrior cats. it started in elementary and lasted for YEARS. the household suffered too bc luffy listened to the audiobooks w out headphones.
zoro - the first 2 1/2 arcs of sao and then all of inuyasha. he has a thing for magic swords and angry men.
nami and usopp - mlp. they both really liked rarity.
sanji - creepypasta. slenderman was why he started wearing suits. he was also really into grey's anatomy.
chopper - he really liked the classic shojo animes. ouron hs host club, fruits basket, etc. but he's also the kind of kid who got scarred by shit like elfen lied at 2am.
robin - she was a superwholock fan. pls send ur thoughts and prayers.
franky - transformers and voltron. he watched the og voltron first (cause hes an old man) and got super pumped when they made a reboot. both he and robin bonded over how their shows screwed them.
brook - anytime the crew tries to ask if hes seen something he compares it to a show or artist thats a million years old and the crew is half convinced hes immortal. also hamilton.
ace - marvel. he started watching bc of captain americas muscles and stayed for captain americas muscles.
sabo - les mis. he will not shut up abt how he and enjolras are the same fucking person.
law - creepypasta and ESPECIALLY fnaf. he was really broken up abt the scott cawthon thing.
perona - the same things law was into (bc theyre besties) and monster high. itty bitty perona saw draculaura and knew exactly what she wanted in her life.
literally everyone listed above- aphmau's minecraft diaries. they rewatch it together every now and then.
side note: me and my friend joke abt modern au ace calling himself fire fist bc his role model was katelyn the fire fist. its embarrassing for everyone who knows the real reason he chose that nickname.

If the Straw Hats Had a Reality Show Dedicated to Pirates Headcanon! Ft: Law!
With how infamous the pirate crew gotten, it was only natural that they were soon granted the rights to have their own reality show, like other famous pirates in the Grand Line and the New World.
Tumblr media
Get ready for Keeping Up with the Straw Hats!
Luffy: Whether it was his strength, or his childlike innocence, Luffy was a fan favorite!
He often ignored the producers suggestions to make the show more interesting.
Luffy didn’t like when the producers told him to punch a random person on the street when they were visiting an island.
Was not getting paid, as he owed the producers over 10,000 berris for punching the camera one time in anger, when the director attempted to take his meat away. The director was only making a suggestion for a much healthier diet for the star of the show.
Luffy also skipped out on a lot of confessional sessions. Mainly because he really didn’t have much to hide to begin with. But if he did go, it was mainly to either show appreciation for his crew or to make public declarations:
“Sanji’s cooking the BEST!”
“Do we get free meat with this show?”
“I’m going to kick Mingo’s ass!”
Zoro: The viewers found Zoro amusing! Whether it be him constantly getting lost, or his heated arguments with Sanji. The producers would rush over to him, cameras and all whenever they caught the two together.
Zoro was surprisingly popular with female viewers. They enjoyed watching him sweat whenever he would work out in the crows nest.
Zoro didn’t care about the show really. Just as long as he gets to work out, drink booze, and sleep, he’s good.
The producers always looked forward to his confessionals after he fights with Sanji:
“That damn shitty cook! Just who the hell does he think he is?!”
“That curly brow dumbass is gonna get himself killed one of these days!”
Sanji: Was angry that Zoro was racking in more views from the female viewers than he was!
Why him?! Why not me?!
He kicked the camera man straight in the chin when he told him that Zoro was naturally more popular than he was.
Sanji desperately tried to win over the female viewers by showing off his fighting skills or his culinary expertise.
He was excited when he finally got some fan mail from the fans!
It turned out to be from the okamas though…
If Sanji went to the confessionals, it was usually to cry about why women weren’t interested in him…or to talk shit about Zoro:
“Just what does he have that I don’t on this show?”
“Why aren’t all the beautiful ladies watching me?”
Little did Sanji know, he caught the eyes of Violet and Pudding.
Nami: An absolute slut for the camera! The producers LOVED her!
One couldn’t tell who was using who more. All that mattered was what would bring them more views and more money.
Whenever it was filming time, Nami would purposely wear a bikini without the jeans to draw in the male viewing audience.
Add the extra seductive act she would put on, and nosebleeds would cover millions of transponder snail television screens.
Loved to give tours of the Sunny and show off her designer clothes.
Would parade around the islands, using Momonosuke as an accessory to manipulate the fans into loving her more.
Nami LOVED to take advantage of the fanbase, often subtly asking for gifts mainly money through the fan mail she receives. Next to Robin, she had the most.
Nami became very vain and strict with the crew on how to present themselves for the camera and had to keep members like Luffy in check to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid to cause the show to be cancelled. But just in case, as a backup, she could always start an Only Fans.
One might say that the fame and fortune was getting to her head, as she would purposely start up drama whenever she was out on an island. Would probably steal from a city mayor if it meant she could get the fans taking for weeks.
Whenever she was in the confessionals, it was mainly to complain about Luffy’s or Zoro’s antics.
Would probably shit talk about Robin, although faking it the whole time, to get some drama started:
“Honestly! I wish Luffy would just use some common sense for once!”
“Robin thinks she’s all that! But everyone knows, I’m the prettiest girl on the show!”
“I’ll let you film me in the bath. It’ll cost you 1 million beri!”
Franky: Loved the camera! One sided on the producers part since they didn’t enjoy Franky’s sense of…ahem…style.
He would dance, be loud, or show off his cool body.
If he was in the confessional room, it was to complain openly to the producers on why they did him dirty.
“Hey! I saw last weeks episode! Why did you cut my scene out, bro?!”
Ussop: Although not nearly as popular as Nami, Ussop was interesting enough to get some viewers watching the show, even unintentionally.
Ussop used the show to make himself seem cooler, mainly through the confessionals.
The lies he told caught the attention of viewers worldwide, though very few could sees past his lies.
The producers didn’t care, so long as there were viewers.
“Yes it was I! The Great Captain Ussop who defeated CP9!”
“Wait wait! Cut that out! Cut that scene out! I meant SniperKing!”
Chopper: The Worlds Favorite Cutie Pie!
Choppers looks alone were enough to win the hearts of viewers! Mostly the female reindeer mink.
Combine that with his child like innocence and he’s instantly a popular household name!
On top of that he already has many sponsorships from multiple sweet brands. (Mainly cotton candy ones.)
Choppers pretty shy on camera and often does his usual dance when he’s nervous. The audience eats it up.
He doesn’t gossip. When it comes to confessionals, he’s usually talking about Zoro’s recklessness when it comes to bandages, or Sanji’s nose bleeding habits.
Jimbei: Not particular interested in TV or fame, but used being on TV to his advantage to spread his word and try stop discrimination against fishmen.
The producers found him boring and didn’t look forward to filming him, especially at confessionals…but at the very least, he was able to bring in views due to his former status as a warlord.
Robin: Had many admirers! She enjoyed being on the show. Often is seen on screen on a lavish shopping trip with Nami.
She does her part to make the show more interesting, whether it is be her dark sense of humor or putting her devil fruit powers to good use.
She once used it on a producer when he asked her to do something suggestive for views. After that, the producers never messed with her again, out of fear for their lives.
Not much for confessionals though, except when she’s expressing how amused she is at Luffy’s antics.
She may appeared to be calm and quiet but you better believe that the rumors she would stir up, would get the people talking!
Piers Morgans was having a field day with the headlines:
“Did Cat Burgler Nami Get Breast Implants?!”
“Roronoa Zoro: Honorable Swordsmen or Man Thot?! Gets Caught Sleeping with Wano’s Most Beautiful Woman!”
“Is Monkey D Luffy, Secretly Seeing His Crewmates Sister From the Germa Kingdom?!”
Brook: Fans loved seeing Soul King on screen. In some episodes he’s either playing music or he’s attempting a panty raid in Nani’s room. Which often results in him getting beat up by her every time.
Anything he says in the confessional‘s ends up with his signature laugh.
Law: Made a special guest appearance since starting hiw alliance with Luffy.
You can imagine his look of surprise, when the crew showed up on Punk Hazard with a camera crew and all.
He wasn’t at all interested in being on TV. His famous “I hate bread” made him an instant fan favorite. And meme along the fanbase.
He didn’t like that…
Law hated being followed around by the camera crew on the Thousand Sunny or when he simply just wanted peace. He frequently scolded the producers to stop or told Luffy to call off the cameras, but neither listened.
He only wanted to discuss the alliance plans in private with the crew and didn’t want the producers to catch any of it for the world to see.
As time went on, and Law was getting sucked into the Straw Hat shenanigans. He found himself wandering into the confessional where he would frequently complain about the crew. Mainly the captain.
“Mugiwara-ya will be the death of me…”
“Rorona-ya has no sense of direction…”
“How has the crew survived this long? They don’t ever strategize when it comes to making a plan!”
Viewer Reactions:
Sabo: Enjoys watching his little brother on screen, and always has a good laugh. Koala would often scold him for abandoning his duties to go watch the show.
Hancock: Would briefly abandon her duties as Pirate Empress for the whole day if it meant, she could watch Luffy on screen.
Took up most of his fan mail, and gifts that had meat.
Hancock would be envious of Nami and Robin on her screen, wishing she was their with Luffy.
Mihawk: Reality shows weren’t his usual choice of television entertainment, but he did watch, soley to watch over Zoro’s progress as a swordsmen. He would lie if Perona asked him if he found what he saw the slightest bit amusing.
Ace: He got a kick out watching his little brother on screen. Often laughing at Luffy’s antics. He saw that Luffy’s crew was slowly riding in more views on the reality show The WhiteBeard Pirates had. Ace wasn’t too worried but he knew he had to step it up.
Shanks: Often shaking his head and smiling in amusement at the sight of Luffy on screen. Would sometimes watch the show with Ace as the two spoke fondly of him.
Big Mom: Was furious that Luffy was racking in more views than her crew combined. Everyone used to love Big Mom’s wedding cake special episodes.
“MUGIWARAAAAA!” *Smashes TV*
Garp: Nearly choked on his crackers at the sight of his crazy grandson invading his screen.
“LUFFY NOOOOOO!”
Smoker: If any marine soldier was caught watching, Keeping Up with the Straw Hats, you better believe that he’ll would be raised at HQ. in secret though, he would watch it. Not for entertainment, but more so to study the Straw Hats moves.
Buggy: Screeching out in jealously seeing Straw Hat Luffy was popular enough to be given his own show and not him.
Kid: Was sitting at a bar one night and spat out his drink in anger at the sight of Straw Hat on his screen.
Nearly popped a blood vessel when he saw Law on screen.
“The hell?! Even Trafalgar?! How come those bastards get their own show?!”
Killer remained silent. He knew the reason why the Kid Pirates never picked up the rights to a pirate reality show was because of how scary Kid was.
Dragon: Used the show as a way to keep up with his son. Although in secret, since he didn’t want his army to notice.
Germa 66: Mixed reactions.
“That’s no son of mine.” Judge would say.
Reiju giggled at the sight of the screen. After a mission, she would look forward to watching the show to see her brother.
Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji expressed annoyance and criticized Sanji. Although would never admit that they were each jealous that Sanji got to be on a reality show instead of the Germa Kingdom itself.
Yamato: Wants to be on the show. Not for the fame, but mainly to spread the word and tell the world what a horrible father, Kaido is and spread Oden’s legacy to the world.

The Voyage So Far: Whole Cake Island
east blue (1 | 2) || alabasta (1 | 2) || skypiea || water 7 || enies lobby || thriller bark || paramount war (1 | 2) || fishman island || punk hazard || dressrosa (1 | 2) || whole cake island || wano
Tumblr media
sanji is such a self-sacrificial idiot. and i know that’s not exactly a ground-breaking statement, but it does define the entire first half of whole cake island, so it may as well be reiterated here: sanji does not value his own life as much as he should, and fails to grasp that other people care about him outside of what he can offer them, which is why he’s so surprised when luffy later comes charging headlong into big mom’s territory.
Tumblr media
zou is a really good little arc, and it also mirrors the themes of whole cake island in miniature. the minks collectively make a massive sacrifice and risk absolutely everything to protect raizou, and wci is essentially all about loyalty and sacrifice, whether its sanji giving himself up to protect the strawhats and zeff or luffy and the strawhats facing impossible odds to rescue him to pedro giving up his life to get them all out of there safe.
Tumblr media
huge fan of this panel partly just because it’s cute and partly because it’s a great visualization of just how dysfunctional the heights are in one piece.
Tumblr media
zou is one of my favorite settings in one piece just for the sheer creativity of it. zunesha is so massive and so mysterious and so strange. and she really looks unspeakably old just from how she’s drawn, looming over everyone and everything, eyes hollow and empty, an entire forest and an entire people growing on her back that have been there for thousands of years. it’s just so neat and so wildly inventive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this applies to zou as a whole, but i think it’s really cool how all the little threads that will become important during wano are set up so effectively even before whole cake island starts. we get this shot here of kidd beat to shit and then forget it because so much happens between here and when he shows up again in wano, but then oda punks us into caring about him and killer so much and this retroactively becomes very important.
Tumblr media
ever since his introduction sanji’s always been a character basically defined by his adherence to his principles: always feeding the hungry, never wasting food, never hurting women, never using his hands in combat. he’s probably the most firmly principled person on the crew, and that’s more obvious in whole cake island than in any other arc except maybe baratie.
sanji is very stubbornly good, which puts him in acute contrast to his siblings and their general cruel apathy. it’s something i really like about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’m a huge fan of big mom’s introduction, which is also our introduction to tottoland in general. it’s cutesy and colorful and musical while simultaneously being deeply creepy, with lyrics about killing people for ingredients and making jam out of blood, which is a great summary of the core of big mom’s character. she’s an old lady all in pink who lives in a cartoon fairy-tale land- but she’s also a deranged cannibal, and all those singing trees and flowers are animated by the life she steals from her citizens as tax.
whole cake island draws on a lot of fairy tale motifs (especially with brulee), and the contrast that saccharine appearance creates with how fucked up the actual content is is super effective and memorable, i think.
Tumblr media
honestly i find most of the content of sanji with the vinsmokes just plain upsetting, which i’m sure is intentional, so i’m not going to go into it a lot here, but i am including this panel of him kicking niji in the face.
Tumblr media
sad as this scene turns out, luffy’s absolute thrill at finding sanji and the corresponding bafflement of the vinsmokes as to how the fuck he even got there always kinda makes me grin.
i always love seeing people’s underestimations about luffy get thrown right the hell out the window- because let’s be honest, he’s easy to underestimate, he’s like a five and a half foot tall rubber teenager and not very physically intimidating and all, and then he goes and pulls off the impossible without blinking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the thing that makes luffy unique as a captain has always been his willingness to rely on his crew, and his willingness to openly admit that reliance, like he did all the way back in arlong park. most of the other contenders for the pirate king’s crown we’ve seen- big mom, kaidou, crocodile once upon a time- have been stubbornly individualistic people who explicitly shown not to care for their crew and allies, generally seeing them as disposable.
luffy is the opposite of all of them, because his crew are everything to him, to the point of being willing to sacrifice his dream for them. and the loyalty he wins from them in return is unmatched, as opposed to big mom and kaidou, who both get cheerfully betrayed not just by their own crewmates but by their own children.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
brook is really cool in whole cake island, and honestly it comes at just the right time for him as a character. ever since his introductory arc in thriller bark until this point he hasn’t gotten a ton of focus, so it’s great that he gets to be the mvp here and demonstrate exactly why he’s a strawhat pirate and how much he’s grown over the timeskip.
Tumblr media
oda is generally really good at introducing and handling characters contained to a single arc/saga, but i do think he absolutely knocked it out of the park with pedro. he has an interesting backstory, compelling motivations, and basically an entire sub-arc ending in his death that never distracts from the main plot, but only ever adds to it.
pedro really feels like a fully realized character who’s had a whole life offscreen, who we just happened to catch at the very end of his story. i think that’s super impressive.
Tumblr media
i really love this moment, because for me, this is the moment where whole cake island becomes a tremendous arc, and where the tides begin to turn and the dominoes begin to fall, one after the other. this is sanji hitting absolute rock bottom. the one ray of light he pinned all his hopes on was a lie, and he can’t even light a fucking cigarette.
but one piece is, very often, a story about picking yourself up even when you feel like you can’t.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think there’s something lovely about how much one piece emphasizes the value of honestly asking for help. luffy waits for nami to ask for help, and for robin to say she wants to live, and for sanji to admit he just wants to go home, and then says, “okay, i’ll make that happen.”
Tumblr media
it just makes me so happy how happy the stawhats are to know sanji’s back with them. it reminds me a lot of how they all brush off robin’s thanks after enies lobby. sure, they’re going to have to crash the wedding and confront big mom directly and might all die, but who cares? they’ve got sanji back. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, i love how much they love each other.
Tumblr media
i think the gangster outfits are super fun, and i love that oda is committed enough to his aesthetics to come up with an excuse to put them all in formalwear. it pays off, they all look extremely snappy.
Tumblr media
i know i just said it in the dressrosa posts but i’m reiterating it here because this is my favorite example of it by far: i love when oda does this split-screen thing with his panels. the contrast between the two halves of pudding is so severe and yet they’re so clearly the same person i honestly just find this pair of panels fascinating to look at.
this panel also kind of gets at my favorite thing about pudding as a character, really. i know she’s a little controversial in fandom, but i’ve always found her entertaining (at least post-reveal), especially in the contrast between her unhinged evil side and her genuinely sweet romantic side and her post-wedding tendency to randomly ping-pong between the two.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i just always like reminding people that sanji is fast enough and his observation haki good enough to dodge a surprise attack, while thoroughly distracted, from katakuri.
sanji in this arc tends to get shit from a certain side of fandom for being ‘useless’ since he doesn’t have a big climactic fight despite being the focus of the arc, which i think is thoroughly missing the point. sanji is still plenty capable in combat, as demonstrated both here and later, with chiffon and oven. it just happens that his strength isn’t what saves the day ultimately, because combat ability isn’t everything, which is the entire point of the vinsmoke backstory/subplot. sanji saves the day just by being kind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ll admit big mom’s flashback isn’t one of my favorites, taken in isolation- there are some parts of it that kind of unresolved (at least as of now- i still suspect they’ll be followed up eventually), and in general, although there is a tragedy to it, it doesn’t quite hit the way many of the other more effective flashbacks do. that said, i do think it does a really good job of succinctly explaining why big mom is the way she is in the present: she’s a child who was never told no, who never grew or matured past the disappearance of her adopted mother. that’s it, and that’s enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ve always been a little bit in love with how seriously and consistently one piece handles its themes of found family, and sanji outright disowning judge in whole cake island is maybe the most outright they ever get: family is found, not made. you owe nothing to your blood and are never beholden to your abusers.
and i just like that a whole lot.
Tumblr media
i do think the tamatebako is one of the best uses of chekov’s gun i’ve ever seen. we’re first shown it at the end of fishman island, it’s revealed it got sent off to big mom rigged with explosives which is a minor “oh fuck” moment, and then it gets forgotten about, because the entirety of punk hazard and dressrosa happens in between! which is a lot!
i remember when i reached the moment in whole cake island where we’re reminded that that bomb still exists and is still waiting to explode, i just started laughing hysterically out loud, because i’d completely forgotten, and now that i remembered i was just delighted to know it was going to definitely go off at some point, almost certainly in a very satisfying way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pedro is, if i remember right, the first time the imagery of the coming dawn that will become quite important in wano really has attention drawn to it in-text- the recurring motif is there before this, of course, dating all the way back to the names of the first chapter (romance dawn) and first island (dawn island), but this is the first time it’s actively addressed in-story.
in doing so, oda essentially presents a fresh mystery for us, but one that has been set up so consistently ever since chapter one that it feels like it fits perfectly into the world and story.
Tumblr media
luffy’s been punching way above his weight class ever since crocodile all the way back in alabasta, fighting enemies who clearly outmatch him but always managing to win anyways, but his fight with katakuri is maybe the clearest the sheer differential in strength ever gets, because katakuri’s powers are similar enough to luffy’s that he can pull off pretty much all of luffy’s techniques, but better. so luffy has to fall back on the two things that have always been his greatest strengths, again all the way back to crocodile in alabasta: innovation and sheer fucking stubbornness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one thing i love about one piece is how no character is immune to being clowned on. absolutely nobody. everybody looks like an idiot sometimes, and it makes everything so much more fun than if the series took itself more seriously. katakuri basically actively tries to avert this by building up a fearsome, flawless, and utterly no-nonsense persona, but it winds up failing hard because it actually only makes the contrast and surprise of his actual personality and vices that much funnier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ve always loved this one panel of carrot going sulong, because she just looks so monstrous, like a true werewolf. the same goes for the shift in big mom’s design when she starts going truly mad with starvation and gets even more threatening-looking (below). i just think oda should let women be monstrously scary more often.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i do really love that the entire climax of whole cake island hinges on the degree of trust and faith the strawhats, and sanji and luffy specifically, have in each other. they’re all facing massive challenges that would seem insurmountable to an outsider- luffy facing down a yonkou’s commander with a bounty of over a billion and sanji remaking a massive cake that took months to plan and make in just a few hours, the others evading big mom’s full forces and big mom herself for a full night- but none of them have even a shred of doubt that the others can manage it.
Tumblr media
i wrote a meta post awhile back about one piece’s concept of ‘honor in a pirates’ fight, and what it came down to is this: honor can never be expected between pirates, but the best of them will show it anyways, and it can be a very telling judge of character. nobody would expect katakuri to do this, and luffy even calls him an idiot for it, but he has enough respect for luffy as a strong opponent to do it anyways, and that’s how we know for absolute certain that even though he’s an antagonist, he’s also a good, honorable person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really like the gesture of luffy leaving his hat over katakuri’s mouth, especially because until this point, we’re never even given any indication that he’s really noticed it, let alone that katakuri is insecure about it. he never reacts to or comments on it (which is in itself kind of unusual from someone who tends to nickname opponents by their appearances as often as luffy does) one way or another.
and then he does this, confirming all at once that he did fully notice and understand, he just doesn’t care. which i think sums up one of the more under-appreciated aspects of luffy’s character- he’s generally way more observant than people give him credit for, especially when it comes to people, it’s just that he has a very different sense of what’s important and what’s not than your average person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i love the sheer contrast between big mom’s delighted, rapturous singing as she devours the wedding cake against the violence taking place on screen as her army rains fire and hell down on the thousand sunny. it parallels her initial introduction at the start of the arc perfectly, and is just an excellent way to close out the arc with a bang.
Tumblr media
i said it earlier but it bears repeating here, for a different reason: luffy is not very physically intimidating. he’s shorter than most of the other main characters, he’s a lanky teenager, he dresses casually and his most identifiable accessory is a farm hat.
but then there are times when he looks like a captain, like a future pirate king, and it just looks so natural on him. i can never get over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really like that, after spending a whole arc demonstrating just how different (and how much better) sanji is than the vinsmokes, it ends like this- showing us just how similar he’s grown up to the man he’s chosen as his real family, and just how proud zeff would be of him.
