My recent post about how strong Marinette is actually revealed that many Marinette fans have made an assumption about the show that is not canon, but you can see why they made the mistake of thinking it is: the idea that Marinette works at her parents' bakery. I'd like to just say it outright: there is no evidence to support that Marinette works at the bakery. The only time her parents asked for help was to hand out an already prepared cake to a customer. The one time she worked as a server in ‘Animaestro’ was at her own insistence. We never see Marinette working at the bakery in any way that implies it’s something that happens often. Whenever we see her baking it’s for a personal reason, like in ‘Heroes’ Day’ and ‘Bakerix’. The reasons people still think she does work there are because 1) Marinette can bake, 2) the stereotype of kids helping out with the family business.
However, I'd say that the show has potential evidence that Marinette can't possibly be working at the bakery, at least not frequently: all of her extracurriculars. Marinette gets up to so much stuff outside of her responsibilities as a student, class rep and superhero, there's not enough time in the day for her to fit working at the bakery into that. Also, if she worked at the bakery consistently, there’d be an episode or several about it. We see her babysitting at least four times in the show, and we see her designing about the same, not counting all the items we’re shown with the pink flower motif that signifies she designed it herself (including her baking apron). We see Adrien model consistently. Marinette does not work at the bakery, because if she did, we would have seen it by now.
Another point to make is that the only parent in the show who we know for a fact makes their kid work for them is Gabriel, aka the show’s villain. I think the show might be making a point with the child labour there.
Marinette can bake, but there’s no proof that this is because she works at the bakery instead of her parents just teaching her outside of business hours. Of course, because you can’t prove a negative, the show presents no concrete proof that Marinette doesn’t work at the bakery either, but it does exhibit several compelling reasons why she wouldn't.
As such, I will have to disagree with the consensus here: canonically Marinette is not a baker. She's a fashion designer who bakes. There’s a big difference in how much time goes into one activity in comparison to the other.

Remaking Miraculous Ladybug (Season 3)
Tumblr media
Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed my remakes of the previous seasons, and I hope you're ready for my wild take on season 3. As usual, I trimmed the fat and cut some episodes. Fair warning: The final episodes will leave you with some questions!
Tumblr media
Chameleon--Lila's lies are more simplistic now, due to the fact that she no longer has the fox miraculous to back up her lies, so they are much more difficult to call out. Some of the class starts grow suspicious of her when she flirts with Adrien after they tell her that he's possibly dating Kagami, but Lila maintains that she can't help her feelings and implies that she's just like Marinette, silencing them and making them feel conflicted. Marinette doesn't tell Alya and Nino about her issues with Lila, as it dates back to when Lila was able to use illusions, thus evading criticisms that she's jealous of Lila. Lila doesn't drop her facade around Marinette, pretending to have turned herself around after a terrible fight that she had with Ladybug, making her question whether or not she's genuine. Only Alya, Nino, Nathaniel, Marc, Chloe, Adrien, and Sabrina take Marinette's side on the issue, but Marinette starts to doubt herself. Chloe uses her social standing in the city to try and expose Lila's lies on different occasions, but her social standing in the class leads almost everyone to believe she's just being petty. Lila attempts to get close with Adrien, but finds Kagami and Luka harder to induct into her web of lies than the others. In the end, Lila masterfully maintains her lies, making it difficult for anyone to call her out. It's also revealed at the end that Lila anonymously receives instructions from Hawk Moth, who she is led to believe is friends with Gabriel Agreste.
Tumblr media
2. Animaestro--Luka and Juleka join Jagged Stone at the premiere, having produced, written, and recorded several songs along with Clara Nightingale. Marinette volunteers to help her parents genuinely rather than being there for Adrien, as the press has speculated that Adrien and Kagami are a couple. Chloe is less disruptive, trying to turn over a new leaf, though she is jealous of Kagami and Adrien being a couple. When Marinette asks her about Luka and Kim, Chloe disregards Kim as being nothing serious and goes after Luka, who greets her warmly due to her progress. However, Chloe mentions that she still has a chance with Adrien, as he and Kagami aren't official yet, inspiring Marinette to try to tell her feelings for him before it's too late. However, they aren't as petty with the sabotage, but try to subtly get Adrien alone at different times. Gabriel actually shows up to the premiere in person, excusing himself during the chaos to turn into Hawk Moth. Given that Thomas is based on Thomas Astruc, I'd enjoy him getting akumatized after getting into fights from Ladybug fans about how he wrote the film--it just feels poetic that way. Kitty Section performs the title track for the film, and the rest of the episode pans out the same, except Chloe joins the fight as Queen Bee.
Tumblr media
3. Reflekdoll--LOATHE as I am to cover repeat villains, I'll do so this time. Most of the episode is the same, but the discussion between Ladybug and Chat Noir isn't about hero/sidekick, but philosophical about destruction and creation, with Chat Noir being envious that Ladybug is called good luck, while Chat Noir is called bad luck, having seen someone shoo away a black cat earlier. Taking from "Bakerix," Marinette's paternal grandfather comes to visit, and they have a similar discussion about tradition and modern, with Marinette arguing that some traditional views (ie the superstition of ladybugs bringing good luck and black cats bringing bad luck) shouldn't affect how others are treated. Juleka and Luka's talk hints at a crush that Luka has on one of his friends, but Juleka promises to keep it a secret, and Luka inquires about Juleka's crush on Rose, but Juleka deflects, stating that she thinks Rose still has a crush on Prince Ali. Juleka's interest in being a model is also explored. Rather than trading Miraculous by chance, Adrien tells Master Fu about his insecurities, and he invites Ladybug and Chat Noir to trade miraculous as an exercise, though this happens before Reflekdoll, and they're unable to find each other when they need to trade back, turning into Lady Noir and Lord Beetle (because I can't stand Mister Bug). During this point, they realize that their skillsets aren't suitable for switching miraculous yet; Marinette doesn't hold back, causing destruction in Paris, and Adrien is too cautious to confidently use the Ladybug miraculous. However, due to the encouragement of Rose and Luka, as well as insight from two previous miraculous holders (Micazoyolin and Cyfnos, a Welsh black cat holder) they manage to temporarily get a grip on their new abiltiies. And perhaps have Marinette design a more unique fashion accessory/outfit, with Adrien saying he'd love to show it to his dad. Juleka and Rose also start to have a romance here. The rest of the episode plays out the same.
Tumblr media
4. Silencer--Very different, given that in my universe, Kitty Section is already a successful band. This episode focuses on Juleka, Luka, and the other two bandmates (since Ivan and Rose aren't part of them in this universe) discussing their next album (either a sophomore or junior album), and Juleka, thinking about how both she and Luka have been struggling with their feelings lately, thinks they should try making a concept album about someone whose trying to tell their crush their feelings and the rollercoaster of emotions that come with it. While the other bandmembers are on board, Luka is hesitant, as he hasn't reached a point where he's comfortable making an album about his current feelings. Bob Roth attempts to undercut the band by stating that as an independent band (as they're not signed under Jagged Stone's label, but he uses his influence to hype them up and get them attention), they can't go as far as if they were part of a major company. The band considers the financial assistance they could receive, and Marinette designs them cool costumes for their audition with the record label, though Bob Roth shows favoritism to Luka when he asks Luka to sing, and he sounds good. He attempts to rebrand the band with Luka as the lead singer, even going as far as offering to make him a solo artist, which Luka rejects. Before they leave, Bob Roth notices that Luka left behind his journal, which is full of musical material as well as mundane journal entry stuff--except for the parts where he discusses his crush on Adrien Agreste. Bob Roth attempts to blackmail Luka into a deal, stating that it would humiliate him and possibly put Adrien's star status in jeopardy if it's believed that he's cheating on Kagami, who the public believes is his girlfriend. This attempt backfires, as Luka goes along with it at first, but his anger and embarrassment can't be contained when he sees Bob Roth and XY berate Marinette's fashion skills. and he is akumatized into Silencer. Thus, Luka wants to protect Adrien as well as Marinette, and Kagami stands her ground to keep Silencer away from Adrien. Bob Roth reveals his corrupt intentions and is fired from the record label that he works at, and Adrien asks Luka about his feelings for him. Luka said he never wanted to enroach on Adrien's life and gives him a kiss on the cheek, leaving Adrien to process his feelings for another guy as well as his budding feelings for Luka and Kagami. And needless to say, Kitty Section decides to stay independent--at least for now.
Tumblr media
5. Oni-Chan--Adrien doesn't have a reason to distrust Lila since her lies haven't been disproven here, and she is invited into the Agreste estate by Gabriel himself rather than Lila lying about it. As Gabriel knows about the events of "Silencer," he advises Lila from trying to romance Adrien, who is in a turmoil of emotions. Kagami sees this as well and is conflicted, wanting to support him through his love triangle, but also wanting to be the one he picks. Luka, wanting to give Adrien his space, stops coming for music practice for a week. Lila is less obvious about her lies to Adrien and focuses on homework while subtly trying to get close to him, and Marinette isn't obsessed with breaking into Adrien's house to expose Lila. At this point, Gabriel has been mulling over inviting Marinette to be his protege, but Lila sabotages this by making Marinette sound like the stalker she was in the original show, resulting in him changing his mind. Kagami is frustrated even more in this version, and Gabriel has no issue with sending her after Lila when Lila goes against his wishes with Adrien. Kagami delves into slightly toxic territory, seeing Adrien as hers (even though they're not in a committed relationship) and someone she can save from loneliness, as he did for her, revealing that the idea that he'd care for anyone else would hurt her terribly. Chloe joins the fight as Queen Bee, almost revealing her identity to Adrien in order to impress him. Lila's lies are almost discovered thanks to Hawk Moth exposing her online and her magical horn, but Lila pivots by stating this was all a lie to try to akumatize her by making everyone hate her, which most of the class accepts. In a rush of concern for Kagami, Adrien decides to become official with her, crushing Marinette.
Tumblr media
6. Miraculer--The episode is very different. Given that no one knows Queen Bee's real identity, neither Lila nor Mayura try to persuade her to their side. Instead, Alya's curiosity of Ladybug and Chat Noir is growing. While she's cut them some slack, she still has criticisms of the fact that they haven't gotten closer to defeating Hawk Moth, and now they have to deal with Mayura. Lila gets under her skin, telling her that she hasn't even been smart about being a reporter: she should've been helping the heroes figure out who Hawk Moth is rather than trying to find out their identities. Alya realizes that she's right, and despite Nino trying to console her, she becomes akumatized into Miraculer. Much of the episode plays out the same, though it's Marinette who tricks her in a similar fashion to Chloe tricking Sabrina in the original. Sabrina helps Queen Bee against Mayura, but Sabrina lacking powers and superhuman strength/agility hinders them, allowing Mayura to get away. At the end of the episode, Marinette realizes Lila is a threat even without her powers, and ponders who she should give the fox miraculous to. It's also revealed that the reason Nino and Chloe haven't been constantly active heroes despite having permanent mriaculous is because Wayzz told Nino not to get involved unless absolutely necessary, as both of them could be caught and force dot reveal where Master Fu is. Following these events and seeing how upset Alya is, Marinette reveals to Alya that she is Ladybug--but that's all she shares.
Tumblr media
7. Desperada--Luka is still dealing with Adrien dating Kagami, though he does express happiness for him, and promises they can still be friends. Adrien attempts to ask him to continue teaching him music, saying he's ready to get vocal lessons, but Luka isn't ready for them to do one-on-one stuff again yet. He decides to take up his dad's offer to fill in for his guitarist, who he had a falling out with. After finding a way to get away from Luka to turn into Chat Noir, both he and Ladybug venture to Master Fu. Ladybug takes the fox miraculous and Chat Noir takes the snake miraculous, with both of them arguing on which one can help. Ladybug gives the fox miraculous to Kagami, turning him into Hansha, while Adrien gives the snake miraculous to Luka, becoming Viperion. As Adrien never tries the snake miraculous, he doesn't end up traumatized by making bad decisions, and the quartet are able to defeat Desperada. In the end, Adrien and Kagami are able to enjoy their romance while Kagami and Luka reestablish their friendship.
Tumblr media
8. Kwamibuster--Ms. Bustier is absent as she's now giving birth to her daughter, and Plagg isn't as reckless when being around Ms. Mendeliev. Kagami, Luka, Chloe, and Nino join the fight against Kwamibuster, Most of the episode is the same, except extra miraculous don't exist outside the main 7 and the snake miraculous, and we see Sass and Trixx fill Kagami and Luka in on how Kwamis and Miraculous work, as well as their history, as they had made sure to study Master Fu's book before leaving his care.
Tumblr media
9. Feast--Mostly the same, but introduces Marianne as well as exploring Master Fu's past. More information is given about previous Miraculous holders, giving the six miraculous heroes insight into their predecessors. Kagami questions the morality that comes with being a superhero, and Master Fu reveals that the fox miraculous was originally able to warp time and space, allowing the user to traverse multiverses, but the power was sealed when a malevolent user possessed the fox miraculous. This frustrates her, as she wants the power to live her life free of her mother's criticisms. Alya also surmises other ancient holders who Master Fu may or may not have known about. Master Fu is also not responsible for the destruction of the Order of the Guardians. When he was a young adult, his rival was overlooked for the power of the ladybug miraculous, and given the cat miraculous instead. The rival secretly craved power, and destroyed the temple (which was simply a sanctuary for ONE miracle box) and killed everyone in it except for Master Fu and his father. Master Fu grabbed the butterfly miraculous and tried to use it to encourage positive feelings from his past friend, but the friend used the peacock miraculous and became akumatized by the akuma, making him create the feast sentimonster. After a long battle, Feast was sealed and the butterfly and peacock miraculous were lost, with the implication that Fu's friend died in the battle (though I do like the idea that he was turned into a statue as well and hidden away). Nathalie's life isn't just sapped by the peacock miraculous; it's consuming her, as she now wears it secretly and turns into Mayura without having to say a phrase. Gabriel's concern for Nathalie and Adrien is severe, and he sits this battle out as he grieves losing more people he cares about, spending time with Adrien while the other five team members defeat Feast. Instead, it's all Mayura until Gabriel discovers her as she crumbles as Feast is defeated. Mayura reveals Master Fu's identity to Gabriel, and while the Tibetan temple is restored, the lives lost are not confirmed to have returned, so Master Fu goes on a trip to investigate himself. Kagami questions if the restoration of the temple means that she can unlock her hidden fox powers.
Tumblr media
10. Ikari Gozen--Tomoe gives Kagami a bit of leeway for the friendship game, but reconsiders when Gabriel criticizes her for being too controlling, to which Tomoe replies that he is ignorant of their culture. Kagami and Marinette get along well, and Luka, Nino, and Adrien bond. Ikari Gozen's design is more reminiscent of a ninja, as she is swift and elusive, causing great damage at lightning speed. After a tense conversation with her mother, Kagami uses the fox miraculous, having practiced overcoming the seal that warps reality. Her rage destroys the seal, and Kagami warps them to a different time and place. Kagami returns, but her mother isn't with her. She flees the scene, horrified at what she's just done, and Gabriel laments the dire situation, but reasons that Tomoe was a terrible person and brought this upon herself. Kagami stays with Adrien for the time being, though it's difficult for him to console her. Luka and Nino win the contest and come over, with Chloe joining out of sympathy, and Kagami relies on them for support. At the end, Gabriel questions what he's done, as he's now orphaned a child.
Tumblr media
11. Timetagger--Most of this is the same, but rather than Bunnix being present, Luka combines the snake and fox miraculous to extend his time powers, allowing him to travel through time--though he knows that the fox's power is unstable and needs to fight quickly. He ends up making himself ill, with Adrien and Juleka trying to comfort him. Nino also plays a large role in fighting his brother, who figures out his identity, but since this is the future version of his brother, it doesn't matter much. Everything else is the same--except Chat Noir being impartient. Kagami also feels immense guilt not being able to help the heroes, and even asks the future Viperion if she'll ever find her mother, which he affirms, but she questions if he was just trying to spare her feelings.
Tumblr media
12. Party Crasher--Mostly the same, but after Marinette exhausts herself from frequent battles, Adrien takes the ladybug miraculous to become Lord Beetle again, giving the black cat miraculous to Kim temporarily. The story happens during the late afternoon/night being a guys' party and sleepover per Gabriel's rules of Adrien not having girls sleep over--aside from Kagami, who's in the other wing (and yes, he trusts Luka, as he's healing up from an injury he claims to have had while jumping off the stage during band practice). More insight is given into the past male miraculous holders, specifically a group of all male members, a homme fatale team, as well as a femme fatale team. Lord Beetle, Carapace, and Kim's alter ego Darkclaw battle Party Crasher. In the end, Adrien goes to comfort Kagami, telling her that despite it being a guy's night, she can still come and hang out for the party. BTW, rather than a random party, it's a belated birthday party for Marc. He had a regular one, but the party at Adrien's house was Nino's suggestion of a guys-only afterparty.
Tumblr media
13. Cat Blanc--Mostly the same. Here, Marinette considers the possibility of her being with Adrien, around which time Kagami takes back her fox miraculous and continues searching for her mother, who by this time has been gone for a month. Ladybug chases after her, but then end up in a dystopian Paris. It plays out the same with Adrien finding out Marinette's identity, and shortly afterwards he breaks up with Kagami and a little after that, he and Marinette date, but it diverges with Gabriel making her his protege, but the scandal and rumors of favoritism since she's dating his son hurts both their reputations, forcing her to break up with Adrien. Gabriel laments at the idea of akumatizing her, but Nathalie, having become 90% Mayura, convinces him to do it. Adrien reveals his identity while trying to save Marinette, and becomes akumatized himself, feeling alone now that his father and ex-girlfriend are more obsessed with their careers than him. Chat Blanc reveals Ladybug's true identity, but Kagami believes this to be a ruse, though he doesn't reveal himself as Adrien. However, a plot twist occurs; rather than saving the world via Miraculous Ladybug, Ladybug and Chat Noir go toe-to-toe and Kagami's powers react oddly, affecting Chat Blanc and making him disappear. Kagami is frustrated at not being able to find her mother, but she and Marinette are left mystified about what happened to Chat Blanc, with Marinette wondering who his real identity was.
Tumblr media
14. Félix--At this point, I'd probably say it's been about a year and a half since the show began. MAJOR changes. Gabriel is surprised by Adrien wanting him and Nathalie to be together, but when he sees Amelie, he realizes he isn't over Emilie yet. Félix is much more cheery and upbeat, though his father's death has left him sarcastic and with a wry sense of humor. He shows great apathy towards heroes, unaware of their origins or potential, but sees them as a "Paris Problem." Despite not having seen Adrien in a while, Félix seems to recall everything about Adrien's room, and feels a pang of jealousy at his popularity. Félix takes his identity temporarily, which doesn't go unnoticed by Kagami, and Luka and Marinette talk about their feelings for Adrien. Félix attempts to hang out with Adrien's friends, but his social awkwardness results in him being embarrassed, and Hawk Moth akumatizes him out of revenge for masquerading as Adrien. Now akumatized as Pale Imitation, he now has the ability to turn others into caricatures of their true selves. When deakumatized, Félix angrily rejects Adrien's sympathy and his friends' attempts to befriend him, as he's cursed to look like his "better" cousin who he can never live up to. Amelie is revealed to be more twisted than previously thought, as she reprimands him for not being perfect like Adrien and Félix's father, though she relents when he gives her Gabriel's ring. Kagami considers telling Adrien about Ladybug's true identity, but worries that the extra may make him unstable like Chat Blanc and Félix.
Tumblr media
15. Ladybug--Mostly the same, albeit renamed "Princess Justice"; Ms. Bustier returns, and Alya takes up some of Marinette's duties as she becomes more exhausted, becoming Scarabella. During Lila's lies, she hasn't returned them yet, and Marinette is akumatized into Princess Justice. Queen Bee, Scarabella, Hansha, Carapace, and Chat Noir battle her, as she possesses the ability to invert their powers. She makes Scarabella see everything in black and red, preventing her from properly using lucky charm, paralyzes Queen Bee, and traps Carapace in his own shield. Chat Noir and Hansha try to get through to her, but Hawk Moth and Mayura back her up, taunting Hansha for making Kagami an orphan. Hansha loses it, but manages to deakumatize Princess Justice while Chat Noir scares away Hawk Moth and Mayura. Rather than saying that she's a compulsive liar, Lila simply says that Marinette owned a similar necklace to her own, and that she made an emotional mistake since it was the only thing she had of her grandmother. Ladybug and Chat Noir later chide Kagami, as her emotions almost resulted in her creating holes across the multiverse, which could've threatened their universe, but Kagami angrily brushes them off. She moves out of the Agreste mansion and breaks up with Adrien, deciding to look for her mother full-time rather than "sulking." At this point, Adrien and Marientte swear off any chances of friendship with Lila, and Gabriel reconsiders her usefulness.
Tumblr media
16. Heart Hunter (The Battle of the Miraculous-Part 1)--Mostly the same; it's revealed the only reason Audrey and Andre are married is because of Chloe, and that Zoe despises Chloe for it, believing that Audrey left her father for Andre. Ladybug goes to check on Master Fu, but Hawk Moth follows her and captures Master Fu. Ladybug and Chat Noir manage to capture Hansha while she's traversing the multiverses looking for her mother, and they take the fox miraculous from her. Enraged, Hawk Moth takes advantage of her distraught emotions.
Tumblr media
17. Miracle Queen (The Battle of the Miraculous-Part 2)--VERY similar, but now Kagami is Miracle Queen, who entrusts her servants to retrieve the fox miraculous so she could find her mother. Almost everything is the same otherwise, but Master Fu, close to being captured, entrusts the Miracle Box to Carapace, making it a shell that's almost impossible to pry open. Kagami is broken and rejects Hawk Moth's offer to retreat. Ladybug feels immense grief for ever giving Kagami the fox miraculous in the first place, and Adrien is disturbed at not being able to help Kagami heal.
Lemme know what you're favorite episode(s) was! I may tweak this before releasing season 4.

Rewatching ML Season 3
Chameleon: Adrien pulls away from Lila. He’s very nice to her, but tells her not to lie to him. Akumatised Lila pretends to be mean Adrien. Chat Noir yet again sacrifices himself for Ladybug. Only Marinette and Adrien don’t fall for Lila’s lies. Adrien sit next to Marinette, but the whole class ends up sitting as they used to.
Animaestro: “Ladybug PV” as in-universe film. Marinette, why are you stupid enough to work with Chloé.
Bakerix: —
Backwarder: Alix says Adrien hates lies. Marinette giving Adrien the prescription is hilarious. So is Gabriel having a temporary villain lair in the train toilet.
Reflekdoll: Poor Juleka. So now Gabriel doesn’t care about Nathalie risking her life. Marinette and Adrien look cool as Lady Noire and Mister Bug. I think the episode is a little too critical of Chat Noir.
Weredad: Gabriel Akumatised a baby again. Marichat scenes. Have Adrien got only twenty peas to eat? His meal is ridiculous. Maybe he is forced to diet, because apparently he eats far too much cheese. Chat Noir says loneliness and isolation are the worst.
Silencer: —
Onichan: Calm down, Marinette, Adrien is kind and a little naive, but he isn’t stupid. Gabriel also thinks Adrien’s too naive. Adrien is fed up with girls fighting over him, but is touched by Kagami’s love for him.
Miraculer: Ladybug should listen to Chat Noir’s advice about talking to Chloé. Ladybug is too focused on defeating the villain, ignoring the emotional aspect. Chloé resists the Akuma. Chat Noir is hit with the Cataclism twice. Chloé is Queen Bee again.
Amnesio: Ladybug and Chat Noir lose their memory, detransform in front of each other and quickly assume they’re a couple, and they kiss. Adrien says he wouldn’t hide his identity from his girlfriend.
Desperada: Ladrien scenes. Adrien, where has your hair gone? Ladybug laughs at Adrien/Aspik’s jokes, but not Chat Noir’s. Adrien, what do you mean you’ve been trying for MONTHS.
Startrain: In the train Marinette sleeps on Adrien’s shoulder.
Kwami Buster: Adrien suspects that Marinette is Ladybug. Master Fu says using too many Miraculouses at once makes you mad (I see you, Monarch). Marinette as Mouse is cute, Adrien as Mr Banana is funny. Marinette tricks Chat Noir into believing that she can’t be Ladybug.
Feast: Master Fu’s backstory. Adrien’s worried about Nathalie.
Gamer 2.0: Chat Noir sacrifices himself.
Stormy Weather 2: There’re a lot of scenes from previous episodes. Marinette admits Adrien is her friend now. Nathalie admits she’s fallen in love with Gabriel and started caring about Adrien. Adrien recalls good moments with his father, but one of the memories is based on a lie (his father giving him the scarf). Plagg says Gabriel in the inside is either soft or rotten and while Adrien wants to believe the former, the latter is likely true. The second Christmas episode must have been before this episode.
Ikari Gozen: Kagami seems autistic. Chat Noir seems impressed with Kagami using the Dragon Miraculous. Adrien told Kagami that Marinette is his friend.
Timetagger: Ladybug and Chat Noir are bored and fed up with fighting Mr Pigeon for the 24th time. I wonder if Timetagger comes from their timeline or alternate timeline. Frankly speaking, I don’t treat those revelations about the future seriously. (#NoorooDeservesBetter) What’s more, Chat Noir and Nathalie say that future isn’t set in stone. From Cat Blanc we know that Bunnyx can travel to the future moments that ultimately become an alternate, non-existent timeline, so this is how I see the future that Timetagger comes from.
Party Crusher: Marinette, why are you so stupid. Adrien is surprised to see Marinette, but smiles when she still pretends to be Marino. Gabriel: ‘Joy? What’s going on in my house?!’
The Puppeteer 2: It’s both funny and sad that Adrien starts to believe that Marinette doesn’t like him at all. Adrien is just as silly as Marinette. Marinette kisses Adrien. Short Ladrien moment. Adrien tells Marinette that the girl he loves doesn’t like his jokes either.
Cat Blanc: The problem stems from the relationship between Adrien and his father. Adrien still loves him, but Gabriel is ready to use him to achieve his goal. This episode also shows that though Adrien is very nice and as Chat Noir he’s a carefree joker, he also has a lot of pain and anger inside. Additionally, reveals full of angst only weakens our superheroes.
Félix: Félix is fun to watch, he’s smart but emotionally unstable. He must be very lonely. Nathalie: Let’s Akumatise some teenagers.
Ladybug: Adrien says Marinette is fantastic. He stands up for Marinette when Lila accuses her of cheating. Marinette would’ve been Akumatised, if Nathalie hadn’t felt bad. Gabriel tells Nathalie not to use the Peacock Miraculous, but she does it behind his back. The Senti-Ladybug plot is a bit creepy in the context of season 5. Adrien forces Lila to withdraw the accusation.
Heart Hunter: Adrien likes Marinette with her hair down. She leaves him and Kagami alone after they’ve gone for ice-cream. She’s too distracted and makes a mistake that will result in loosing Master Fu. Chat Noir flirts with Ryuko. Chloé is jealous and joins Hawk Moth. Adrien and Kagami kiss.
Miracle Queen: Adrien says he wasn’t ready for the kiss and Kagami is hurt. Ladybug becomes the guardian of the Miraculouses. Will she forget everything in the future too?
Chris Master: I can’t stand that terrible old man in a red suit.
Miraculous World: New York: It looks like fanfiction a bit? Like everything’s a little over the top. The worst thing is Chat Noir accidentally killing a girl, it’s just so unnecessarily traumatic. It looks like this is his punishment for being dishonest with Ladybug. And with him sacrificing himself every other week and having some experience in being hit with the Cataclysm (Miraculer), I think he’d rather Cataclysm himself than an innocent girl.

Bakerix rewrite:
I’m enjoying doing mini rewrites for episodes, and I’ve made it clear how much Bakerix steams my ham
Buuuuut for this rewrite, I’m gonna go crazy and treat the young audience with respect and intelligence I know I know, I’m asking a lot of Miraculous but I promise I’ll make it worth it
So, instead of the weird “old and new” message they tried (???) to shove down our throats, my Bakerix will discuss racism.
(Trigger warning, references to racism, but also calling that shit out)
The episode starts with Marinette wondering what she could do for her dad’s birthday, and figures she could try and reconnect him with his father. But she doesn’t know why they fell out in the first place.
So, just like in canon, she asks her parents and grandmother about it, and no one is willing to tell her.
Annoyed by this, Marinette doesn’t really know how to proceed so tries to think of something else to give her dad. However, while she’s out and about she’s approached by Roland himself. In a disguise, and he needs to actually prove that he IS her grandfather and not some weirdo.
He tells her that he got kicked out unfairly and that he wants them to be a family again. He instructs Marinette to help him with that. Putting in a good word for him, and basically pressures her into putting in the work for him. Claiming it’s her responsibility to “fix the family”.
I’m cloudy on the exact details, but when Marinette finally brings Roland to the Bakery as a surprise, her parents and grandmother are NOT pleased to see him. Argument happens, and Roland shows his true colours when he blames Sabine for “destroying this family”. He’s akumatised into Bakerix.
The heroes defeat him, and leave him to get home by himself.
Then, Tom and Sabine (And Gina) finally sit Marinette down and explain the situation. Roland left because he’s racist, and that it was wrong of them to have kept Marinette in the dark about it (and apologize to her for it). And they assure her that under no circumstance was it her responsibility to redeem Roland.
The four of them celebrate Tom’s Birthday together, without Roland
And scene!
I know this wouldn’t be the funniest or the most chipper of episodes, but I don’t think tackling the issue of racism and family conflict is the right time for jokes.
I want the ep to have two messages, one for the kids and one for the adults It’s not your responsibility to “redeem” your racist relatives, that’s on them And (for the adults) it’s important to COMMUNICATE with your children, even when the topics can be tough.

Could you say all the miraculous episodes you're removing? Since you already did this with season 1 episodes!
INHALES
In total, I would be removing 80+ episodes from the original canon out of original number (as for season 5, without specials) of 131. I can't give the exact number right now, but I think I have like 10?? my own episodes like Scarabella & Huli Jing 2-parter and Gigafan.
Darkblade, riposte, gamer, animan, the puppeteer, kung food, pixelator, princess fragrance, (santa claws), the collector, prime queen, robostus, frightning gale, troublemaker, frozer, catalyst, mayura, backwarder, weredad, chameleon, animaestro, bakerix, silencer, oblivio, all "part two's" (reflectdoll, stormy weather 2), oni chan, startrain, kwamibuster, feast, ikari gozen, timetagger, party crusher, chat blanc, felix, ladybug, christmaster, heart hunter, truth, lies, gang of secrets, furious fu, sole crusher, queen banana, guilttrip, crocoduel, optigami, sentibubbler, rocketear, mega leech, wishmaker, hack-chan, simpleman, dearest family, ephermal, gabriel agreste, psychomedian, kuro neko, penalteam, Quilin, Risk, Strikeback and all of the season 5 episodes
Uncertain about removal Includes world-building incombatible with MnP Nothing will force me to bring this shit back

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews: Episode 3-3 Bakerix
Ah, the episode introducing Marinette's ambiguously racist boomer grandpa that works with mice and who I don't think uses anything past the 50s. It was pretty funny, honestly, though I have to wonder what the hell happened in Tom Dupain's life that would cause his parents to get divorced and both of them to have gripes with him. Also what's with the granddaughter disrespect? Grandparents are supposed to love their grandchildren even if they dislike their children. That's not how it's done! Another thing I noticed is that Ladybug's been making plenty of puns alongside Chat. Maybe he's rubbing off on her?

I just finished season 4 and unlike with the others I didnt have a whole lot to say as a was watching, mainly because I was actually enjoying myself and thought the season was mostly really good ? absolutely wild. Nevertheless I have some thoughts
I LOVE Alya and Marinette working together, its a delight. When I talk about "man can you imagine if MLB did like a magical girl show and focused on female friendships instead of catfighting" THIS is what Im talking about!! And Idgaf about how this affects the Love Square at this point, this is all Ive wanted! Also, I feel like Alya and Nino knowing each others identities cheapens the Love Square conflict more than anything but I cant fully articulate why so I'll just leave it at that
The Love Square is in a very strange place where, when the identity reveal finally does happen, its simultaneously going to feel like its too little too late (a la the destiel confession bc this fucking show is just straight queerbaiting) and rushed because like. what kind of development is there between these two. They barely focused on romance this season (which is definitely part of why I think its better lol) but I dont mean that in the sense that we had less catfights and Marinette making a fool of herself for no reason, I mean that in the sense that it barely felt like they interacted at all, atleast to me so thats kinda odd
In the past Ive complained about how the civillian plotline usually feels very disconnected from the superhero/akuma plotline and I think theyve done a much better job, my favorite episode of the season is probably Qilin both for tying the akuma into the civillian plot and for having a somewhat unique conflict resolution. In general, I liked that we had people rejecting akumas as well as preventative measures in form of the charms, although I do think it sucks that a few episodes afterwards Shadowmoth just figures out a way to circumvent them and then its back to business as usual. I feel like a better workaround would be that the charms can only protect you from one akumatization each, so like, the charm Ladybug gave her grandfather in Simpleman can only protect him from becoming Simpleman again, but if he turns into Bakerix, she needs to give him a different charm. But I do find the charms cute
The new heroes all suck tbh, the only design I liked was Purple Tigress and Pigella came close to looking kinda good but then they made it this intensely unflattering shade of pink, which I find impressive because Rose is already wearing an completely different intensely unflattering shade of pink in her civillian form. One thing that I appreciated about whatever Mylenes superhero form is called, Pigella and Purple Tigress is that they had more justifiable reasons for Ladybug to pick them than most of the heroes in the last season, who were mostly just picked because They Were There ig. And then Penealteam rolled around and we were back to doing exactls that kind of bullshit. great.
Also, Ive already talked about this in a seperate post, but if they absolutely insisted on looking for a replacement for the Bee, it shouldve been Sabrina and they shouldntve invented a whole new character for it
Adrien got a little more focus this season and we actually got some insight into his character when hes not either The Object Of Marinettes Idolization or Ladybugs Punny Sidekick Thats Slowly Becoming Obsolete which I enjoyed because he has a lot of potential from a dramatic standpoint what with being Hawkmoths son and all, but hes usually so bland that I dont really care too much so this was pretty nice. And it only took us 4 seasons for him to get some focus, yknow, the other superhero in the title? Well better late than never I guess
Speaking of Adrien, Ive made quite a few posts where I said that this season would be ruined for me the second the Sentiadrien reveal happens but it never did, we're getting that in season 5 and I am not looking forward it especially considering the small taste Ive already gotten of it with Adrien being very obviously controlled by that ring. Like, I'll probably talk about it in more detail when it gets fleshed out in the show but for now I'll just say it doesnt make the stakes higher like the writers seem to think, it make the story wayyyy less interesting and it feels like its supposed to be an explanation for Adriens behaviour towards his father when we absolutely do not need one beyond "hes being abused"
I know I said that I thought this season was really good and now Im just just complaining mostly like I always do but idk, Im not as good at formulating my positive thoughts as my negative ones. The last thing I'll say is that I loved Scarabella and I loved her design and I loved the whole episode she was in, as well as the entirety of Sentibubbler, Alya really served this season
Thats it, thanks for reading :D

Have we gotten to Simpleman in HC yet?
Honestly I mostly just kiiiiinda skipped it?
The initial setup wouldn't happen in HC, and part of the initial Bakerix plot was Rolland learning that new things aren't always awful. So like, it's.... probably counting as one of the 'replaced' episodes?

Gabriel: DAMN IT! WHY CANT I MAKE AN AKUMA TO BREAK THROUGH THIS CHARM
Nathalie: Have you tried believing in yourself?
(Gabriel Proceeds to break the charm)

Tikki: Okay, I now can control myself
Marinette: Great transform!

Chat noir: Hey since its kings day. Will you be my queen
Ladybug: Of course kitty.
(this is in the show, but its cute)
____________________________________________________________
Marinette: Well the charms are now useless and I learned that I actually dont understand tikki at all
Tikki: Dont worry Marinette this was a one time thing.
Marinette: Oh thank god
Plagg: (in the distance) YOU ARE WELCOME

Marinette: So I know you all love me. And while a motorcycle is cool I think I am too young
Rolland: Yes!

MLB - Season 3 - Episodes 2 and 3
Animaestro
Introducing, Astruc's self-insert.
Marinette is being very normal about Adrien. Again.
Chloé and Marinette bonding over petty shit would be the funniest thing ever. Unfortunately, the creators decided that Chloé can't get her life together, even though she's a 14yo who has had precisely 0 good rolemodels up until recently.
Gabe... Gabe... you're in public.
Bakerix
Ah, yes, Marinette's grandfather, who definitelly stopped talking to his son over bread and not because of racism. The things everyone's dancing around is racism.
Even the mice are judging him.
"Looks like Ladybug is unveiling a new method of air transport." Yeah, it's called YEET.

As I mentioned it earlier, I was going to do my ranking of ML episodes, because why not? So here it is.
My way of ranking is different from the others', bc how on earth am I supposed to rank episodes of the show where I really love every single episode? So I decided to go the easy route and ranked them by how many times I watched them.
Disclaimer: episodes in groups III-IV aren't the worst by any means! They're all good. It's just that I don’t rewatch them that often.
Feel free to ask for my comments about this or that episode.

how will your AU be? Like, how many seasons, and which episodes are you removing?
Well… my plan is for each season to have around 15 to 17 episodes, I haven't sorted out the number of seasons yet, of course I already have the end of everything, and the end of the first and second season, and not necessarily every episode will have a villain, most do, but we'll have 1 or 3 episodes in each season to develop the characters' personalities and relationships.
My au is a role swap, and considering this, theoretically, it would be a removal of episodes? Of course, that won't always be the case, and we'll have some episodes that couldn't be changed, like: reflekta, since the plot wouldn't make sense with another character.
But we also can't say "let's exclude the episodes I don't like", because I have quite a long list, and many of them are interesting in terms of ideas, but even if they're not very interesting, I can still make the most of the overall plot. However, we could say that we could have a "Dj Wifi" and "Lady Bubble".
For example, episodes like Origins will be divided into 3 parts, but in the organization it will be counted as 2, and the prologue will not be included in the season count.
However, there are some episodes that I could use the idea of, but that we certainly won't have: Animaestro, Antibug and Copycat (another name, same villain, different hero, as far as I can tell), StoneHeart (only the second part), gigantitan (not much I can enjoy), Revanche (lots of spoilers, but Marinette villain), Bakerix and Simplifier (self-explanatory), chameleon, any reakumatization (with a few exceptions), and any child, apart from the puppeteer. Oh, we won't have a silencer (another spoiler, Adrien villain), that's all I can remember now.
About the timeline, I'd give it away, but it would be too much of a spoiler, you know? I think it'll be fun to find out at the time of posting.

Can I ask what all annoys you about Marinette's grandfather?
I'm not very eloquent, so I'll use a comparison to explain my feelings, okay? And to be extra mean I'll compare it to Encanto
Roland, Marinette's grand-father, does the reverse of Abuella when it comes to reconciling with his family. I know the show doesn't SAY he's racist, but it's fairly obvious to me. He leaves after Tom marries a Chinese woman and uses a non-french style of bread-making. And then doesn't talk to them for at least 14 years, as Marinette has never met him.
But then it's on Marinette to bring Roland back to the family, needing to go as far as to disguise herself just so her grandfather will TALK to her. It's Marinette's responsibility to "fix" her racist grandfather's world view. And I think that's gross.
In contrast, it's Abuella who seeks out Mirabel in Encanto. Abuella apologizes and puts in the work to make things right of her own accord. Mirabel doesn't do any of that for her.
But instead, because Miraculous likes to pretend it's not racist, it makes the POC granddaughter put in the work for her racist grandparent, despite him not doing a damn thing to make things right. It's all on her to prove to him that the rice flour is good. It's up to her to fix the family, despite just being a kid.
And then Roland is let back into the family, hugs and kisses all around, and he gets off scot free.
People criticize the episode "Quilin", rightfully so, but the og racist episode is "Bakerix"
