soft moments . . . ♡ (part two.)
characters - tsukasa, mafuyu.
type - scenario.
warnings - reader is referred to as handsome once (tsukasa), i wrote all of these in reader's pov but mafuyu's is mostly from her pov just for a bit of fun
a/n - part two, featuring the last two characters i didn't include. i hope you enjoy ~ and here's part one for everyone who missed it and wants to read it!
"Enough, villain scum!" Tsukasa declares, pointing at you with a stern expression. "I shall not let your reign of terror affect this land any longer!"
You let out a low chuckle, smirking in (what you hoped) was a suitably evil way. "Foolish hero... You really.... uh... you really think you can stop me?!"
You point your weapon at him (which was just a spare pencil of Tsukasa's). "You're far too, um, determined! You should've known when to quit! But now, I shall show no mercy!"
Tsukasa shakes his head, pointing his own sword (a.k.a pen) at you in response. "Then neither shall I! Enguarde!"
Tsukasa drops his arm and grins at you, putting his hands on his hips. "That was perfect!! Thank you so much for helping me with that scene, my dear partner!"
You chuckle awkwardly. "Aw, I'm glad I could help... Although, I felt a little out of place next to you. You're basically a professional actor, and I kept forgetting my lines, ehe..."
"Oh, it's fine, really." Tsukasa shakes his head, laughing. "It was enough to help me practice the lines I needed. Also, I'm not sure if I'd say I was professional yet, you know? We only just became freelancers."
"Ah, right," your cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "Sorry! It's just that I forget you're not professional yet sometimes. To me, you're the greatest actor in the whole world!"
Tsukasa suddenly loudly coughs and turns away, covering his face with his hand. That didn't stop you from seeing the red hue overtaking his face.
"I-I mean, um, of course I am! I, ah, I'm certainly the most brilliant star in the world...!" He says, face turned away from you and not making eye contact - definitely not for any reason! Definitely not because the utter sincerity in your eyes you have when complimenting him is what makes him feel so embarrassed in the first place.
You catch onto this and can't help feeling gleeful about making Tsukasa go so red. You love him, of course, but you also love seeing him like this. His reactions are just... cute.
"Of course you are!" You continue on, grinning innocently. "Not only that, but the prettiest star in the whooooole galaxy!"
"Ack-!" The way Tsukasa responds makes it sounds like your words alone have injured him. You wonder how he manages to be so unintentionally dramatic sometimes.
"Well, ah, I think you're incredibly handsome yourself." He finally manages to say, lowering his hand and looking at you again.
You bound over and hug him, resting your head on him. "You're too sweet! I love you!"
Tsukasa takes a deep sigh as he calms himself down again, before he puts his arms around you and smiles softly.
"I love you too, my dear co-star. Now! Shall we continue with our practice?!"
It's that time of year again, when her classmates complain about how cold it is and she can see her own breath in front of her outside.
She wraps her jacket around herself a little more tightly as she walks beside you through the park. According to you, it was the quickest way to your home from school. Mafuyu usually just walked through the city, though.
Her gaze drifts to you, who is shivering beside her as she walks. It's curious to her - you look so cold, but you never accept the scarf she tries to give you, even though Mafuyu doesn't feel that cold. And yet, despite being cold, you're still looking around in wonder at the colorful scenery in the park. The oranges, reds and browns of the leaves in the trees were very pleasing to the eye.
And yet, you looked at them like they were the prettiest thing in the world. Mafuyu wonders how someone could have so much joy for something they've likely seen many times by now.
"Oh, Mafuyu! Look!" You suddenly race forward and pick a leaf off the ground. It's a beautiful shade of red.
"I've never seen a leaf so colorful!" You exclaim brightly, holding it out to Mafuyu. "Here, you should keep it."
"Why?" She asks, turning her attention back to you. "It's just a leaf, isn't it?"
"Yeah, but it's pretty!" You pout. "Please?"
If you were so insistent, then Mafuyu thought she might as well. She takes the leaf from you, studying it for a few moments before putting it in her shirt pocket so she won't forget about it.
"Yay! Thank you, Mafuyu~!" You cheer, before taking her hand and hurrying off. "Now, c'mon! I wanna get home already, it's super cold out."
Mafuyu makes sure to follow you at the same pace to not drag behind. Even though you're cold, your hands still feel warm.
--
The two of you make it back home safely. You visibly relax the minute you step into the home as you regain heat in your body again. You rush into the kitchen, calling behind you - "I'm gonna make us hot chocolate! You go wait in the living room, okay?"
Mafuyu watches you go for a few moments, before walking into your living room and sitting as you told her to. She pulls a pillow into her lap and leans on it as she waits for your return.
When you come back, you're holding two mugs of hot chocolate, topped in whipped cream and marshmallows. Mafuyu hadn't ever had something like this before, her mother thought it was too sweet and would be bad for her.
"Here!" You set down the mug on the table in front of Mafuyu and sit down beside her, drinking it happily.
Mafuyu takes a sip. It's warm - on her tongue, and on her hands, where she holds the mug.
Warm. Just like you.

Possessed!!! Pt. 1
{not proof-read}
Characters: Ace, Deuce, Jack, Epel, Jade
-> Next
————————————————————————
Synopsis: Who would’ve thought you’d end up splitting from your group on accident in the spectral realm? Well, it seems someone else found you and they don’t seem friendly…
. . .
“Okay! Your goal is to find the students of NRC, find the culprit of this scandal, and end this Halloween night!”
“Yes headmaster!”
Just as everyone was about to enter the blackened dark mirror, Sam spoke up. “Remember little imps! Those pendants are a form of protection and communication so take care of them!”
“We will!” You called out and followed everyone else as they walked into the mirror. You had no idea what was waiting on the other side but if it meant getting your friends and boyfriend back, you’d do anything.
———A/N———⬇️
Honestly you could probably consider this my first long fic because of how much effort I put into this but I’m still proud of these…but man this is LONG!! Also hope you like the event banners I made! I really like them!
Also, I changed the story a bit (especially Ace’s portion). I really liked the general story but I’m still salty about the ending—little OOC but who doesn’t love some OOC fluff?
Implied male reader but no pronouns were used. Also reader knows magic!

🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
This was not what you wanted. You didn’t mean to leave Leona and Floyd but you were too worried about Ace getting taken by some ghost that you didn’t really think twice about it.
The long and swirling staircases felt intimidating especially since the clicking of your costume shoes felt louder than they should be.
As you walked, you felt as if you weren’t alone and you were proven right when you heard heel clicks along with your own accompanied by someone on top of the stairs. “Who’s there?” You asked which, if you’ve seen any horror movie ever, was stupid.
“Well well well, you actually followed! Who knew that humans could be so stupid!” You looked up at the voice and saw…
“Ace?”
He didn’t say anything as he slowly walked down the stairs with an arrogant pep in his step. He stopped only a few feet in front of you, a smirk on his face and pale fogged eyes instead of his cherry red ones.
“Since you followed me all the way here, I’d like to propose a game. How about a duel? If I win, you come with me. If you win, I’ll let this body go.
Now you were more confused. “Ace what are you talking about? You’re acting weird…” He only laughed and looked at you again. A chill ran down your spine.
“A bet is a bet darling. Now, enguard!”
He rose his costume shovel above his head and started gathering magic at the blade head of it before throwing it at you. You managed to dodge just in time and pulled out your own costume weapon.
You had no choice but to defend yourself.
——————
You have no idea how long the battle between you and Ace lasted but it was long enough for you both to start getting tired. You were covered in scrapes and bruises from the fight but you persevered despite the painful stinging of your body.
You remembered what Sam said: the pedants were a form of protection. You gripped the pendant tightly in your hand and started charging at him.
He threw another blast of magic at you as you dodged and finally got close enough to shove the pendant against his chest, effectively pushing him back with a white blast.
“Argh! You’re a feisty one aren’t you? Well, I’m a ghost of my word…”
With that, a white mass left Ace as he fell unconscious and collapsed. Luckily you were able to catch him in your arms and sit him upright in your lap. It wasn’t long before he woke up again and saw his mischievous cherry red eyes.
“Ugh…hm? Oh, hey baby…where are we?” You only laughed and hugged him tightly. “Ow! Hey hey why the sudden hug? Did you miss me that much?” He teased but he was quick to hug you back. You filched at the pressure and Ace was quick to pull back to look at you. “…You’re covered in bruises…what happened?” You explained as much as you could as Ace held you gently before hugging you close to him.
“I’m sorry.”
“You don’t have to be.”
“But I hurt you…!”
“No you didn’t. It wasn’t you.”
Before he could argue more, a voice pierced through the silence. “Heeey! Crabby! Guppy!” You both turned and saw Floyd and Leona running towards you. You looked at each other before silently deciding to talk later. Right now, you had a job to do.
…
That doesn’t mean Ace didn’t dote on you the rest of the trip. He made sure you were alright and made sure you stayed out of trouble with other ghosts even if he himself didn’t.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
You were starting to get tired of the spectral realm. Constantly fighting off ghosts for mirror fragments and having no sense of direction genuinely made you tired.
You weren’t really paying attention to what Rook, Trey, or Sebek were saying but you immediately perked up when you heard a very familiar voice. One you love to bits.
You ran off from the others and practically tumbled down the stairs to reach him, ignoring their cries for you to slow down or stop. You couldn’t, especially when you were so close to him.
You finally got to the bottom of the stairs and saw Deuce who was sitting on his knees while crying. You slowly walked over to him and knelt down in front of him, gently taking his hands in yours.
“Deuce?”
He only cried harder before launching himself at you, his arms around your neck while yours went around his waist. You knew Deuce wasn’t much of a crybaby so something was wrong.
You pulled back to look at his face and held his face in your hands. His eyes were a clouded, dead blue, a stark contrast from his blue eyes you loved. At this point, the others caught up to you and could feel your unease and confusion.
“I fell and got a boo-boo. Can you kiss it better?” Deuce whined like a child as he pointed to his nose. Just as you were about to, Sebek loudly spoke up which caused Deuce to cry out.
You tried your best to calm him down but Rook and Trey didn’t make anything better at they talked about the handkerchief at the graveyard.
“A handkerchief?! You were going to kidnap me weren’t you!! MAMAAAA!! I’M SCARED!”
Deuce started crawling back and suddenly stood up and started running from you. You mentally cursed as you quickly got up to give chase, the others close behind you.
You couldn’t really do much but try and use magic to slow him down. As you pulled out your costume weapon, you aimed harmless spells at his feet to slow him down.
You couldn’t lose him. Not after getting this close.
——————
You thanked the Seven for Sebek’s speed and stamina especially with how tired you had gotten. He managed to grab Deuce to prevent him from running any further.
You remembered what Sam said about the mirror pendants he gave everyone: how it was used for protection. You took the pendant from around your neck and gently placed it on Deuce’s chest. A white glow came from the pendant before Deuce started crying again.
“Living people are way more scarier than ghosts! I’m going back to Mama!”
With that, a white mass left his body before going limp in Sebek’s arms. You took Deuce from his arms and held him while slowly sinking to the floor. It didn’t take long for you to see his deep blue eyes again.
“Mmgh…love? What’s up?” You laughed and hugged him tightly. “Nothing…I’m just glad you’re okay.” You replied. Deuce didn’t say anything as he hugged you back just as tightly. He finally seemed to notice all the tears and snot he accumulated as you all tried to explain as best as you could.
“So a bunch of students got abducted, I got possessed, and I was crying for my mom?! I don’t remember any of that!” Deuce exclaimed. “It was quite an unflattering sight, and yet we witnessed it all the same. ‘Waaah! Help me Mama!’” Sebek laughed out. Deuce scowled. “Are you making fun of me?!” You gently held his hand to calm him down while Trey told Sebek to cut it out.
“Ugh, I feel so humiliated. So those ghosts think they can pull one over me huh? Well, I’ll teach ‘em all! I’M CRASHING THAT HALLOWEEN PARTY!!” You could only laugh at his outburst. Now that you had your boyfriend back, you weren’t planning on losing him again.
…
Deuce also didn’t intend to leave you again as he always stayed close to you and even had dragged you to interesting spots for ghost fights so that you wouldn’t lose each other again, no matter how strong they looked.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The spectral realm was so troublesome as were the ghosts that never left you alone. You managed to get some peace from them but the spiraling stairways made you want to throw up.
You didn’t really pay attention which way you were walking as you just followed Jamil and Silver, not saying anything. You suddenly heard creaking steps and stopped. The others seemed to notice as they both turned back and asked what was wrong. You didn’t say anything as you stared at the one person you were hoping to find.
“Jack!”
He didn’t say anything. All he did was slightly turn your way before looking away again. You ran up to the beastman and encased him in a hug. “Oh Great Seven I was so worried! Are you injured?” You couldn’t say anything else as he suddenly ripped away from your grasp and pushed you over. Jamil and Silver immediately rushed over.
“Don’t you dare befoul me with your horrid scent! If you must touch me, do so after a through cleaning!” You stared up at him in disbelief and despair. Jack would never say things like this to you, would he? “Apologize for tainting your superior! Get on your knees and know your place!”
“Jack what are you doing?! There’s a time and a place for a bit and this is neither!” Jamil exclaimed. You were still upset and confused of the fact that Jack would say something like that, tears threatening to leave your eyes.
Jamil tugged on his coat and pulled him closer. You looked up at him and although your eyes were clouded with tears, you saw that his usual yellow eyes that you loved so much were now a foggy and dull blue.
“EEEP! You dare tug on my arm?! What kind of ruffian uses brute force for compliance?! You’re just after my money aren’t you?!” Jack made all these accusations as he backed away from the three of you.
“Begone! The lot of you!”
Jack yelled as he started swinging at Silver. Jamil backed from a punch with you leaned over his shoulder before speaking to you. “There’s no time to feel sad. The sooner we beat him, the sooner we can get Jack back, got it?” He said to you. You nodded meekly before pulling out your costume weapon. “Okay.”
Whatever was going on with him, you were going to help him.
——————
Silver and Jamil threw a few magic spells towards Jack as he repelled them with his costume sword. Jamil threw an attack that managed to get some dirt on him.
“WAHH! You got dirt on my beautiful face!” While he was distracted, you raced towards him with the pendant in hand before shoving it against his chest in a punch, a white glow pushing him back.
“Aieeee! There’s no chance at competing with such brutality!” Jack howled out before a white form left his body and he fell slump to his knees with you rushing to prevent him from falling on his face. You weren’t listening to Jamil or Silver, you were more focused on Jack. It didn’t take long for you to finally see his yellow eyes again.
“Huh? Hun? What are you doing here? And where is here anyways?” You didn’t say anything as you hugged him tightly. Jack was confused but wasted no time in hugging you back. When you pulled away from each other, he noticed the tear stains on your cheeks and the fresh ones spilling from your eyes and panicked. “Why are you crying?” He asked worriedly.
Jamil and Silver, sensing your emotional state, explained for you. “I can’t believe that things had gotten so bad at school and that I was acting all fussy…and I started WAILING?! I would never do that!” Jack exclaimed. “Well you did. Silver witnessed it to so you’re going to have to own up to it.” You weren’t really paying attention to the conversation as you fiddled with Jack’s rings on one of his hands while his other was wrapped tightly around your shoulder.
Jack pulled his hand away from yours and placed it softly on your cheek. “I…I’m so sorry…for what you saw…for what I said to you.” He said as he placed his forehead against yours. You placed your hand in his cheek. “It’s okay—“ “No it’s not. I hurt you…”
Jamil sighed to get your attention. “There’s no time for moping. We have to move.” Silver joined in. “There’s no knowing what we’ll encounter but I feel more confident with you at our side. Will you join us, Jack?” Jack stood up with you, still in his arms.
“Oh, you don’t need to ask me twice! I won’t be satisfied ‘til I get back at whoever pulled this stunt!” Jack turned his head up and shouted. “Just you wait ghosts! I’m coming for you!” You laughed at his enthusiasm. Now this was your Jack and you were happy to have him back.
…
Jack was also happy that he finally got to see you again and he made sure you knew how happy and sorry he was. He constantly told you how much he loves and missed you and kept you close to him no matter what came your way.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
You groaned in annoyance at the spiraling staircases laid before you. You were getting sick and tired of all the twists and turns you had to take and you felt like you weren’t really going anywhere.
As soon as Leona said to stay on high alert, a very familiar voice called out to you all. It just so happened to be a voice you missed so dearly.
“Took you boys long enough!” You all looked up at the top of the staircase. “I was ever so lonely. You know what I do to meanies like you? I give them the finger-wagging of a lifetime!” Although the voice was familiar, the tone of it sounded…off. There was no way he’d ever be caught dead talking like that.
“Epel?”
“BRRT!! Nopesies, a wrong guess! You’re talking to Lollipop the Candy Fairy from the Land of Sugar!” You didn’t know whether to cringe or laugh but you knew immediately that this wasn’t Epel. The more you looked at him, the more you noticed how dead his eyes looked. They weren’t the usual bright blue ones you loved.
“I think I know what’s going on. He got possessed like Crabby did.” Floyd guessed. “You’re probably right. Epel wouldn’t be caught dead saying these things.” You responded.
“Goodness! All your staring is making me blush! Do you think I’m that cute? Awww, thanks! MWAH!” Epel blew a fake kiss your way to which you cringed at. You didn’t know what to do. You watched as Epel suddenly went to Leona and booped his nose, which caused Leona to push Epel off. Oh no.
“That’s not very nice! If you’re going to be a Mr. Grouchy-Pants, then I’ll have to punish you!”
With that, Epel got into a cutesy pose which you could only assume was his ‘fighting stance’. There was only one thing you could do and that was fight him before he embarrassed himself more.
You were going to get him back, if it’s the last thing you’ll do.
——————
You weren’t fighting for long as the only thing he did was use his costume umbrella to throw small and weak attacks while posing weirdly.
The others managed to distract his attacks while you ran up to him, shoving the pendant onto his chest which caused a bright light to push him back.
“Aww, I’ve been beaten. But I won’t go out crying! I’ll see you all again sometime! Ta ta for now!” Epel did one last cute pose before a white form left his body and he fell faint. You managed to catch him in your arms before sliding down to the floor, sitting him upright in your arms. It didn’t take long for Epel to show his normal blue eyes you grew to love.
“…Huh? Darlin’? What happened to me? Why are y’all eyeballin’ me like I’m some spoiled apple?” You couldn’t do anything but laugh and hug him tightly. “I’ve got some bad news for you Epel.” You tried your best to explain while the others, specifically Leona and Floyd, teased him endlessly.
“Aaaaugh…say it ain’t so! I got possessed by a ghost an’ made a complete fool in front of myself? In front on y’all?!” You patted his back in comfort while he groaned into your shoulder. You weren’t really paying attention to the conversation, all you knew was that the others were getting on his nerves.
Suddenly, Epel started to stand up, effectively dragging you up with him in the process. “Grrr…I ain’t lettin’ these ghosts off the hook. I’m gonna bust ‘‘em up real good! Teach ‘em never to do that again!” You laughed softly as Epel’s enthusiasm while his accent slipped out. You were just happy to have your boyfriend back.
…
Of course, Epel was happy to be back with you but was still mortified of what you saw when he was possessed. Alongside trying to regain any manliness he had left, he was constantly seeking for your affection, as were you.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
As you ran to the door for shelter from the oncoming ghosts, you had to hold back a groan as you saw the spiraling stairways before you. You were starting to get sick of the spectral realm…!
You weren’t focused on Riddle and Ruggie arguing, rather the long and striding footsteps you heard above you. The others didn’t seem to notice yet, not even Ortho until a voice rang out.
“Ooh, what have we here?” The voice sounded familiar but the tone it spoke in scared you. Ortho pointed to the top of the staircase, your eyes following to look up and see…
“Jade?”
“Ahaha. ‘Sup guys? What’cha doin’ all the way out here?” He asked. His words were slurred, scarily like Floyd’s usual tone. This didn’t feel like Jade yet you knew it was him. There was no mistaking it. While the others argued if it was truly Jade, you tried talking to him.
“Jade, what are you doing? This isn’t like you. Why are you acting like Floyd?” You tried to negotiate with him but he only stared at you and the more he stared, the more you saw that his heterochromic eyes were nothing more than a dead and dull blue. “I know it’s you Jade. There’s no point in acting like this.” You said again. This time, you got a response.
“Aha…Ahaha…..AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What’s it matter who I act like? Seems to me like you should start worrying a lil’ more about yourself!”
He suddenly threw a magic blast at you, using his costume bandages as a catalyst. You didn’t move but, thankfully, Ruggie was there to pull you back. “He’s attacking!” He shouted to the others as they countered back.
“Come at me, small fry! And hey…make it fun for me, will ya? Ahaha!” He shouted before going on to the attack against Riddle and Ortho. Before you could join the fray, Ruggie tugged on your shoulder. “Remember, it may look like him but that’s not Jade so don’t let your guard down until we beat him, got it?” You nodded in response. “Got it!” before running in with the others.
——————
You don’t know how long you’ve been fighting, but it was long enough for you and the rest of your party to get bruised and scraped, Jade included. None of you really had a game plan, just try and subdue him. It never really went anywhere…
Then you remembered the pendants Sam gave each of you. He said that they were a form of protection. You were surprised no one in your party remembered, let alone Riddle and Ortho. You shouted at them to distract him so that you could get close.
They started throwing spells to occupy his attention while you rushed in to get close. A few spells were thrown your way but you were able to dodge them easily. When you got close, you pushed the pendant onto his chest, which caused a white glow to harshly push him back. He was distracted long enough for Riddle to conjure up a rope a tie him up.
“Aww man, I totally lost. You guys got moves.” Jade teased while you helped Riddle tighten the rope. “Tighten the rope! We can’t risk another outburst.” Riddle said as you both pulled hard in opposite directions. “Nah, I ain’t gonna bother. It was fun while it lasted…” Jade said before a white form left his body, which caused his body to slump.
You immediately forgot about the rope in favor of Jade. You kept him upright, keeping his head on your shoulder while the others panicked on what to do. It didn’t take long for you to see his normal golden mismatched eyes again.
“Ah…my pearl. I see that Ruggie, Riddle, and Ortho are with you as well. What brings you all together?” You didn’t say anything as you hugged him. He would’ve hugged you back but his arms were tied up at the moment so he resorted to just nuzzling you. You really didn’t pay attention to the side conversation he was having with Riddle until he spoke to you again.
“You’re covered in bruises and scrapes. I’m also picking up the distinct smell of soot on my person. May I ask what happened and why I can’t seem to move?” He asked you. While you filled him in on what happened, Riddle untied him as Jade’s hands slowly wrapped around your waist and lower back, pulling you closer to him.
“Now I understand. My goodness, I’ve caused you all quite a bit of trouble.” As Jade said that, he placed a gentle kiss on your lips making your heart flip. “It seems I demonstrated some rather unbecoming behavior during the blank in my memory. I’m sorry, my pearl.” He continued placing gentle kisses on your face until you were practically giggling from the smothering affection, only stopping to stand up with you still in his arms to talk to the rest of your party.
You weren’t really paying attention to the conversation everyone was having, too focused on Jade and the bout of affection he bombarded you with not too long ago. You were snapped back to reality when Jade took your hand in his. “I’m terribly concerned about the others. We should move on.” He said. “…Are you REALLY concerned?” Ruggie asked suspiciously. “Of course I am! The idea of this being amusing never even crossed my mind.” Jade said while smiling but you knew he was genuine.
His smile immediately turned sinister. “And, if I might add—I must demand payback from the ghost who so brazenly possessed me. With interest.” You smiled, happy knowing that you had your Jade back, your boyfriend back. You weren’t planning on loosing sight of him again.
…
While Jade did keep his word on payback to the ghosts, he of course couldn’t forget about you. You always stood close to him no matter the circumstance and he insisted that when you get back, he tends to your wounds and treats you in Mostro Lounge. Of course, only in a fair exchange. *cough* affection *cough*
