Wanted to say Glaze 2.0 is AMAZING.
What took 30 mins+ before, took me THREE MINUTES last night. WITH my other programs still running.
For folks who tried Glaze but haven't been using it due to glazing time, give 2.0 a chance!
I've heard that other folks have had it taking the same time/longer, but the quality is so much better. Your settings will determine the outcome, but it's definitely a huge improvement over the initial release version.
This update was super sexy of the Glaze Project. You can download the updated version from their site HERE!
(You should also use in conjunction with Nightshade!)

So in this POST here I talk about how I woke with the theory that Omega is not the fifth enhanced clone but Emerie was.
WELL today a game called 'Star Wars Shatterpoint' release information on an expansion with figures and cards of the Bad Batch.
Tumblr media
The cards each have the characters names and CT numbers. The CT numbers are the important part
Now we don't get to see Crosshairs, Echo or Tech's cards, but we know at least two of their Numbers. Crosshair CT-9904 and Echo CT-1409.
We do get to see Hunter, Omega and Wrecker's cards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hunter is CT-9901, Oldest boy.
Wrecker is CT-9903, funny enough not youngest
And Omega is ... Omega ... no CT number.
Which brings up the question, who is the fifth enhanced clone?
My theory is still. Emerie Karr
My Kronk style sleep epiphany is starting to feel less crazy

Random TBB Thoughts - S3 E1-3
I didn’t do full immediate reactions to the premiere episodes, so here’s some of my random thoughts about them now that I’ve rewatched.
- In Confined Omega asks Emerie where her brothers are—Emerie says she doesn’t know. Omega doesn’t know at the beginning that they managed to escape after being captured. She must find that out eventually bc otherwise she wouldn’t have known to send a message to Hunter and Wrecker when she and Crosshair finally escape.
- Emerie has no access to the outside, but all the other female scientists do (to the landing platforms). As a clone she’s very much a prisoner just like the rest of them even if she doesn’t fully categorize herself that way.
- Paths Unknown is very Lord of the Flies.
- Tech’s goggles 🥺🥺🥺
- Also seriously Hemlock, you thought creating a semi-sentient carnivorous plant creature WASN’T going to backfire on you??
- Why is Scorch the only clone commando who has kept his old colors? And where is the rest of Delta squad?
- Omega was dressed like Nala Se in season 1, now she’s dressed like Emerie.
- The music so far feels more like a soundscape and less like a soundtrack. It’s really beautiful (of course).
- These data pads everyone uses on Tantiss seem wildly inefficient and very large/cumbersome to me. How many times has somebody dropped one trying to pull it in and out of the wall slots??
- Batcher - such a good girl
- Crosshair - such a good boy (okay but seriously he’s never been hotter. Even in those uniform pajamas. The blue ones brought out his eyes better though).
- The snark. All of the snark. The sibling dynamics are at their peak.
- I would actually bet a lot of money there’s dead Jedi bodies in those capsules in the vault.
- I kinda wanted to see Omega steal the Emperor’s shuttle 🫣
- “Of course he did” sobbing forever.

The Bad Batch theory "Into the Breach"
Nala Se told Emerie Karr in her cell that she has tried to help the children, but clearly she can't. She's not trusted by Dr. Hemlock (and likely never was).
But Nala was gently pushing Emerie to realize that she IS trusted by Dr. Hemlock. Emerie is his pet, his docile and tame dog, or so he believes her to be. And his continued belief in her docility will be her weapon. Emerie is used to thinking she's powerless, but Nala Se is telling her she's NOT.
To "step into the breach" means to fill the gap in battle or task when the original person can no longer do it.
Emerie will step into the breach left open by Nala Se. According to Dr. Hemlock, Emerie will have control not just of the vaults to Project Necromancer but the subterranean levels.
Guess what's down there?
The Zillo beast, and it's power to eat electricity and grow.
And who can tame a Zillo beast? I there there's one little sister artificially imbued with the Force, and good with animals that might be up to the task.
Emerie Karr has always been Omega's Jungian Shadow. The Shadow is what we fear or hate in ourselves, and such a character, especially in traditionally masculine tales, shows the Shadow to be base, lascivious, angry, or prideful, but for Omega, her Shadow is a figure of extreme docility, something Omega fears to be. Omega has already faced her Shadow, but this story is doing something interesting.
One part of the Heroine's Journey is healing the Mother/Daughter split. I think it's possible that Omega's Shadow, that other part of herself, the docile, obedient girl she could have been is the one to heal the split. Because it was the Creatrix, Nala Se, that made this separation between sisters, that in part, allowed a Shadow to form.
The overly docile, obedient, powerless young woman faced her mother and said, "I want to help these children, but look at me, you tossed me aside left me to a horrible man, I cannot help myself, how can I help other children."
And the mother is saying, "Are you really powerless? Your docility need not be real, it is a power now, let it be a fine deception [and Nala Se has always been a bold liar, she understands deception]. Use his idea of you, your new access to his vile chambers, against him."
And I think Nala Se IS changing. Yes, she's always loved just Omega, poured everything into Omega, and kept all other children at a professional distance. But I think she wants to change. To expand her love beyond what was her focal point, her golden child.
Why is it so important that the children ask for HOME? Because for the first time, Nala Se is thinking of children as having mothers and fathers too. And SHE is a mother. Always has been. And she hurt other children to save her own daughter. It's a common, understandable action in our world--people will save their own children before another. But it's still terrible, and children shouldn't be hurt whether they have parents or not.
And Emerie's accusation that Nala abandoned her must highlight to Nala, these clones ARE her children, whether she recognizes them or not. They exist in part because of her. Nala Se likely believed Emerie, and all the other modified clones didn't need parents. But as we see with Emerie, this isn't true. Emerie needed her, or needed SOMEBODY who could be family. The multitude of clone brothers had each other as family, older and younger brothers all around. Emerie had none of them.
Nala Se can love Emerie, and show Emerie that she is worthy and capable of love beyond what she can do. And paradoxically, it may be that Emerie, the girl Nala Se gave away, is more her daughter than Omega, the child she held fast to her as an extension of herself for so many years.

yk that thing parents do when kids are too young to be able to spell and so they’ll spell out words they don’t want the kid to hear. varian and hugo do that with emery except they talk to each other in morse code

YES EMERIE
took you fucking long enough, you're finally a good guy, I could not be more stoked!
I love that she recognized Echo, I'm so excited for their team up! and Echo calling her out on her "good soldiers follow orders" "I was only doing my job" defense was priceless
also the "I'm still hungry" "It will pass" interaction was so funny to me, like bitch the kid still needs to eat properly don't just say it will pass and walk away, kids grow you can't just keep feeding them the same amount of food if you want them to be healthy

Having Fenris in the party while you talk to Samson is so fucking funny ik Hawke is squinting between the two of them like "Have you ever noticed you two sound eerily similar? Apart from the accents of course"

!!? what 3 ocs would you never put in a room together
paro, onion, and watts, because they would all start infodumping about their interests at the exact same time and nobody would actually be able to hear anything the other was saying

(alternatively, i'd never put savory and any of the crucifix assassins in a room together, because it's guaranteed to end in violence)

aha now imagine how fucked up Rand would be by himself dealing with what's happening in Galloway if the boys drifted apart after highschool.
Imagine Kian and Rolan hearing about what's happened in Galloway on the fucking news. and both seperately, at the same time, remembering of their old highschool buddies.

Kinda have to assume Karr has the whole excelerated aging thing going on I imagine. Though honestly think I might be more curious about why she exists in-universe than Omega.

i am constantly thinking about how much i believe in fate n paths already written out n people that are meant to meet & how if you look backward and down your own timeline a lot of the time things seem to just make Sense ... like chance meetings and the intricacies of it all. and i am a dnfer so ofc i will apply this to dnf bc they are soulmates. and past lives are also so so interesting to think of especially now bc of how we have the internet and it has made it MUCH easier for people to meet. like before that it would've been harder but it still would've happened if it's meant to be i think !!! and dnf almost met once and then missed each other. but then they met again and dream himself has said he thinks them and sapnap too would have always managed to meet somehow bc of their lives interlinking and being involved in the same areas. it's just kind of magic u know? 8 billion people on the planet and we're drawn to the ones we connect with most and u just Know when it happens bc you can always feel it. and then people will meet that one person who is like their other half n like a mirror of u and it takes no effort at all to be with them and u can be yourself and talk endlessly (george saying "have we been on this call for ten hours?") and it feels like puzzle pieces slotting together. this applies to both platonic and romantic. even familial. and some people stumble across these people in the same state or city or even on their street. but for others it happens across an ocean or maybe the other side of the world and then distance becomes the obstacle. and dnf found each other from across the ocean 4 thousand miles apart w the help of the the internet and minecraft and they just click n have that relationship and connection like no one else. and if even WE can see it from the outside like .. just imagine what it's like for Them to feel it ..... (sobs. love.) i think we see it anyways .. heart on ur sleeve n written all over ur face and all that. i believe in fate n soulmates n that red string and a reason for most things. and dream and george. they're also something pretty inspiring bc they had to go through a heck load of hardships to get george across the ocean & there was a lot of waiting n distance n pain n patience. but they did it in the end. and it's so so lovely and now the dream team is together .... buh. this stuff always reminds me of this art too. and i do think it was a miracle dnf ever met. but they did bc they were meant to.

How would the tangled kids react to Varian and Cassandra’s villain arc? Also I love your art 😊
AJDJDJDGG OKAY SO. this is SO fucking good but ive been putting it off for so long bc i wanted to draw something to go with it but i’ve just. never figured out what so inevitably i’m just gonna answer it on its own
this subject in particular is SO FUNNY for me to think about bc i think the kids’ reactions depend a lot on how their parents talk abt it and both of them handle it in COMPLETELY different ways. like uknighted dream is pretty open abt it (obviously they give the incredibly watered down kid-safe version) and they kinda use it as a learning experience? like in very vague terms.
its kinda just like
alina: oh why are you and mama cass fighting in your drawing :(
rapunzel: <:) well yknow how if you shake a bottle of soda, when you open it it explodes everywhere?? well sometimes when we bottle up our feelings and don’t do anything with them or talk to someone we trust, they end up getting all shaken up in there, and eventually theyll explode! mama cass and i used to have a lot of trouble talking about our feelings, and because of all those emotions that got bottled up and shaken around in there, we found it hard to properly communicate with each other at all. but then we realized how much we really cared about each other and how we really wanted to make things work, so we learned to be more honest about how we felt and how to communicate with one another without everything just ‘exploding’, so to speak. and thats why we always teach you how to manage your big emotions, does that make sense? :)
on the other hand VARIAN? literally could not care less. at least not with the ud kids. he still has one of his wanted posters that hugo grabbed as a “souvenir” on their trip, and the automaton he used to fight rapunzel? its still in the corner of his lab and he pulls it apart regularly for scrap metal.
ryder will be wandering around his lab when hes like 7 and hes like “uncle vari whats that”
varian: that’s an automaton buddy
ryder: did you make it?
varian: yeah
ryder: what’s it for
varian: well nothing now it’s just spare parts. but i actually made it a long time ago to fight your mom
ryder: which one
varian: both actually. and technically your dad. but mostly rapunzel
ryder: oh
ryder: did you win?
varian: no it wasnt really that kind of fight. nobody won
ryder: oh that’s boring
ryder: can i try it
varian: absolutely not
when emery comes along though varian is like “okay we are Never addressing this again” bc em thinks varian is SO cool and varian actually cares So much about his newfound image. (very stupid of him for that to be his main priority obviously bc emery is like 4 and if she knew what he did she would probably just be like “okay. can i have apple juice”)
anyways yeah ilmari and the twins don’t really tell her anything either because they don’t really see it as anything worth telling her about, especially in comparison to way more important things like the fact that lance will sometimes sneak you dessert before dinner if you can convince eugene he has a gray hair without him catching on. so obviously emery grows up fairly unaware of anything varian has done but the defining factor is that shes constantly hearing about it out of context and is just left to struggle with that enigma.
like you know the experience of being like 14 years old at the family thanksgiving and you get to sit at the grown ups table for the first time and hear about all their weird beef and inside jokes and also hear your aunt mention out of context that hey your dad went to prison once bc that’s LITERALLY what the tangled kids experience in relation to their parents’ pasts. like the twins forgot about most of what varian told them by the time they grew up, they knew the watered down version of what happened with cass but they never knew the little details right. so they’ll just be hanging out playing checkers together while the adults are sitting across the room chatting over drinks and varian jokes “oh man its just like that one time cass kidnapped me” and all the kids immediately whip their heads around like “WHAT?”
this is ESPECIALLY true with emery who’s parents are notorious for having more insults for each other than pet names. em could just be reading by the fireplace late one night and var and hugo come out for a midnight snack and just start talking like
hugo: sometimes i think maybe objectively we should be evil again. like just for fun
varian: honestly. i took over the kingdom once i could do it again no problem
hugo: you’re probably actually strong enough to do it yourself now 🥺
varian: you want to kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid
emery: ….right so are we just gonna brush over the “again” part or did you guys forget i was here
varian also eventually realizes that by doing this he is replicating EXACTLY how quirin used to be secretive of his own past and how like one day varian just suddenly had to grapple with the knowledge that his dad who baked pies and fed the apple peels to his raccoon probably had a kill count. and obviously varian is absolutely distraught over this revelation
“HUGO HELP ME. I think im becoming my dad” “oh. well hey it happens to all of us it could be worse. besides your dad is hot so like i see it as a win win” “What” “what?”
i should probably also mention that ilmari knew about cass’s villain arc long before they even MET and ilmari actively tries to use this against her when they’re like 13. like “yeah well you cant tell ME what to do i’m gonna tell alina and ryder you tried to stab mom when you were in your 20s” (it doesn’t work btw)

It's my own opinion but the more I watch the new season of the Bad Batch the more I feel like Tech's death was just cheap.
In a series focused on the Bad Batch, we saw more Rampart and Emerie than Echo . An integral member since the beginning.
So what if killing of Tech was just another quick way to get rid of a character they wouldn't have had time to write a role for? I mean, they barely talk about him and we never get to see anyone's reaction to his death.
It just feels like killing him was a way to get rid of a character easily to focus on others or just to make more drama in the new season.
"Oh Tech isn't here to do that so I guess we're going to have to risk our lives for this things."
"If Tech were here it would be easier but since he's not, guess we're going to have to take the long road !"
