Another Captain Laserhawk theory: Could the rabbids looking so mutated be a result of dimensional travel? Perhaps it warped their bodies in a way making them look so monstrous.

Then there's the question of why this didn't happen to Rayman, but the answer to this is pretty simple actually. Because we already know Rabbids have unstable DNA, able to be merged and altered with ease, so it makes sense it would react to whatever energy caused them to hop universes. (As well as explaining why some Rabbids looked more mutated than others)

Then again I'm not a biology nerd and could just be overthinking things

almost regretted making that post because it's based on the premise of something i'm writing (even if only for myself) and it felt like wasting a good idea by spoiling the "trick" to the audience but i think so far it's been quite worth it for the response. i really like each of the answers in the notes :) someone made the umbilical cord connection which was verymuch the intention

#it's meant to be like a primeval representation of connection to the ideal/abstract/divine that's considered to have since been lost. thus #the 'tower' eventually falls to ruin. not exactly in a single catastrophe but naturally such as erosion or age or disrepair. and early on #enough cosmogonically that it embodies a 'childhood of creation' manner of bliss akin to eden #each possible version is presented out of order and the trick with the vector/geometric line one is that it didn't fall to ruin but indeed #men became so blinded by the woes and ambitions of earthly/mundane existence they forgot how to find and see it but its still there. #wait backtrack its all framed as an explanation for a specific motif of art in. nevermind too much context
