Okay, so the Dream face reveal is going to happen soon™️ and I think we need as a fandom remember that a lot of CCs have self image issues. So if we please don't compare him to other CCs would be amazing. He is Dream and other CCs aren't him.

Saying that he is prettier than "X" isn't the complement you think it is. Especially if the person you are comparing him to is his friend.

Broo- I didn't watch the live stream but figured I'd just watch some clips and vids posted to YouTube of the twitchcon event with Dream there and everything. I was pretty excited because I know this was Dream's first event and he was excited as well, but damn, what the hell was that 😭

Dude, that was wild. All the people touching and taking things that weren't theirs (ex: George's water bottle), the people who were pushing past others and putting their hands on others, the people who were being blatantly rude and selfish, I mean- that's just unacceptable man.

And that's ignoring the fact that the host, staff, and general panel and setup were pretty unprepared/ill-equipped. (Lack of microphones, poorly planned questions, lack of seating, etc.)

But I mean, seriously? Wearing a shirt with NSFW content on it, at an event with (I'm guessing) predominantly MINORS, of two CCs AT THE EVENT? That's just crossing the boundaries and it's super uncomfortable.

And the way people treated Dream? He was so respectful and kept his cool when he was definitely not being treated the way he should've been. You could tell he was so tired and just trying to get back to his room, but people kept tapping him, pulling on him, yelling at/to him; I mean- that's just nuts.

Ultimately I was just surprised at how wonky the event was and how disrespectful everyone was being.

Hopefully Dream is alright and not too overwhelmed. I'm proud of him and I hope he was able to have fun regardless. On the positive side, I'm loving the fanart of him with his hat :) (and George)

I just hope this doesn't discourage him from wanting to attend any other events in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was reluctant either.

Content creators are people too and need to be treated as such.

The security, staff, equipment, disrespectful fans, and apparently accomodations (or rather, lack thereof) for disabled people as well, were just disappointing.

I'm grateful for the good moments, though, and hope that it was enjoyable for at least some of the CCs and fans.

(and I'm also grateful for Karl's humour, it made the event more bearable.)

Also having and not having the same room doesn't mean anything either way. Dan and Phil were given separate rooms at cons, they shared their text msgs between each other when they were in separate rooms, and we all know how that turned out.

it's just dream and george and they are their own people ya know? so my stance is that we should have fun and freak out about dnf being absolutely adorable and domestic because they clearly love it as much as we do. and whatever you believe is the nature of their relationship - that's not really for us to worry about

if they are platonic and choose to remain platonic then they will do so. if they are romantic or they become romantic - i know for a fact dream will never keep that quiet for long 😂 so i would say the best thing would be to not worry, not speculate, not look too deep into any of it - let's just enjoy all of it for what it is, and leave the deeper stuff for them to speak about if they choose to do so 😁

now about shipping. people on here tend to be a lot more lenient and comfortable with ship content since they know creators won't see it or interact with it.

the line between shipping/truthing or joke shipping is super blurry. if you don't want to see people talking about dnf /srs then block them! But for a lot of people on here they don't really care and it's very excepted for people to be somewhere between joking and serious.

i think my conclusion here is that twitter has glorified but also offset boundaries too much. shaming the most basic of content while also enabling being disrespectful because "they said it was okay"

just taking his "be normal" is enough i feel. do whatever you want. be respectful to others still. break the boundaries if you want. tag your stuff correctly. mute and block things you don't like. be a freak but still be normal
