A silent plea of his desire to be seen, understood, claimed, and freed.” Your voice is smooth and soft, drawing him in, matching with the tantalizing gaze you hold on the Avgin boy sitting pretty on the casino table, directing all your attention on him. The private casino room he reserved for this ‘fun and friendly’ game with you is engulfed by silence, only the heavy breathing can be heard. The dim lights illuminate his features from above, making the man in front of you exude a sultry air, his vivid-colored orbs observing your every move.

“For a veteran, you sure do lack the courage to gamble on this one.” You take one step forward, taking another and another until you gradually invade his space, “Allow me to make you an offer, one you can’t refuse.”

Aventurine is taken aback by the way you used his words against him, his mouth hanging slightly agape but quickly masking it with his signature smirk.

“You’ll give me your heart,” you speak with much confidence, voice remaining resolute as you add, “Not only will you take my soul, but you’ll take my forever too.” 

An enticing smile spreads across your features. “Surely, you do not wish to miss out on this gamble of a lifetime?”

Surrender your heart to me and I will offer you my endless devotion. 

His gloved hand reaches for your waist, fingers digging through the fabric of your dress shirt, slowly dragging you in and caging you between his legs. His voice comes out in a hushed whisper, his determined gaze piercing through your soul. “And trust me, this is one gamble I will definitely win.” A tingle runs down your spine, your heartbeat racing with ardor. His proximity allows his perfume to take over your senses, making you slightly lightheaded.

“Just one request, darling,” he murmurs, his lips an even breath away from yours, his words making your heart miss a beat in anticipation. “Can I claim what’s mine right now?”

You lean into his touch, allowing him to devour your lips with all his pent-up desires and frustrations. Your other hand gently creeps up to cradle the side of his face while the other settles on his arm. You hum in contentment, smiling into the kiss as his lips mold with yours perfectly and in sync. After all, you have waited far too long for the boundary to be finally crossed, everything you have built over time is all at risk. Whether this blooms into a lifetime of happiness with each other and whether it falls apart, foretells an eternity of sorrow and mourning for the demise of your entwined hearts—only time will tell.

“This is a gamble worth taking, right?” he mumbles softly after pulling away, his eyes locking with yours once more, admiring the blush that paints your cheeks. A smirk reaches his lips, “You sure you’re not on the losing end with your wager? Is my heart the only thing you ever ask of me?” 

“My dear, I have lost from you long ago. The only option is to gamble everything that’s left of me, bust or take it all. It so happens that your heart is the one I am most eager to possess.” Your fingers fiddle with the ends of his hair as you meet the heat of his gaze with your pleading ones.

Aventurine flashes you a charming grin, his eyes sparkling with glee. “Yours, my dear.” 

All or nothing, indeed.

my worker drone oc stella! she turned out lovely and so very cute so let me tell you about her! stella is very quiet and a bit shy so she can be very reserved but once you get to know her she can be quite interesting. she has a love for all things stars and space sometimes cal will fly her up past the clouds and let her stargaze and tell them about space for a while. stella's mom and dad work for the wdf so they are rarely home when they are home they either sleep or watch tv so stella has a lot of downtime and freewill so she spends that time drawing, singing and learning about space. she loves to dye her hair too she finds it to be a lot of fun. one night stella was walking around the bunker when she noticed a small opening in a door big enough for a worker to crawl out so thats what she did, she had never been outside before so she had a lot of fun exploring but while she was having fun she accidentally ran into sia. stella's core almost shut down from horror when sia started walking towards her but stella got really lucky when sia just asked her if she was alright and if she was lost, that's when stella said that she was fine and that she didn't know so sia decided to help stella as they walked sia asked her a few questions and to stella's dismay she answered them. when sia wasn't looking stella ran off so sia had to go out and find her before anything bad happend. while stella was looking for a place to hide fae and cal spotted her and cornered her into a wall but luckly sia arrived just in time to stop fae and cal from tearing stella apart. sia likes stella quite a lot even though she only knows a small bit about her. after sia explained why stella was there cal and fae hesitated about helping her get back to the bunker but agreed to help stella. they decided that cal would fly her back to her colony so cal picked stella up by the arms and flew her back, when they got there cal said to stella to be careful and to stay at the bunker. after that whole incident stella couldn't help but wonder why sia was nice to her so to find out she snuck out again and surprisingly found sia and cal, cal was pretty mad that she didn't stay at the bunker but sia was pretty happy to see stella so with cal's permission stella got to hangout with them for a bit and eventually they kinda became friends so stella kept visting them and sia and her love to hangout and go on little adventures together sometimes even dragging cal and fae along with them. anyway thats my oc stella i love her so much.

Text on a picture as well as a title of a work are taken from a song “Elastic Heart” by Sia. Although strangely enough, while I like an original version, I think a rock cover of it by Written by Wolves suits this pairing just as well)).

Figuratively speaking, I always tend to jump in a last car of a departing train and this time is no different (I started working on this picture when there literally were two weeks left till a deadline). So, I really hope that I was on time to post this entry for @pastelpaperplaness DTIYS challenge, heh. If not, this work can be considered as a gift.

I am a huge fan of TFA and fan works based on this show in general. It’s always so inspiring to look at so many original ideas and concepts people create around such awesome (and well aged) projects. Hence why I tend to follow artists and their AUs in order to see their interpretations of beloved characters. And Pastel’s Thorns and Thrones AU is no exception. I mean, cmon guys, a fantasy AU about TFs - what else to add here))?

Such challenges as this DTIYS are fun to participate in since it’s a nice opportunity to try new techniques, especially when people are given freedom in such matters.

Umm,.. I kinda got carried away as you can see, heh.

In the end I tried to combine characters’ designs with a realistic approach to drawing metal, skin, clothes and etc. + added just a couple personal details such as an embroidery on attires. But I hope that Pastel won’t mind that since she’s given people an opportunity to “stylize to their heart's content and be as creative as they want”.

Coming back to an idea behind Thornes and Thrones AU and how I tried to show it in this drawing:

It’s always very delightful to see Megatronus and Sir Orion being flirty, hugging, kissing, simply spending nice time with each other. But what personally I value behind this relationship is a sheer impossibility of such love, the tragedy of these two men falling for each other under such unfair circumstances. Both characters are dedicated to their causes and none of them can easily break rules of a cold world they live in.

In the end of a journey, all that’s going to be left is a suffering caused by unspoken truths. This consuming feeling of a betrayal is akin to shrubs growing around and through a soul, stabbing it with thorns and permanently scarring it…

But if both can just try to “fight this war” with themselves and their desires “without weapons”, to finally raise a white flag,..

… one will see how such pure love is capable of blossoming as a marvelous flower, freeing characters from pain in their connected hearts.

If only this love’s given one chance of becoming true.

Jumping in fashionably late. 🩰 for Sia please if you're still doing these!

I am always doing these! They are so fun! For Sia, I assign Carlos Acosta's Basilio Act 3 Variation.

Carlos is an outrageously charismatic performer. He has this wonderful dramatic flair to him. He just makes me smile whenever I watch him! This makes him a fantastic Basilio; he's roguish, but Acosta's natural charm keeps him from ever coming off as smarmy. That in particular really makes me think of Sia. You'll tolerate things from him that you would never from anyone else because he's just that likeable! His abilities as a storyteller also do such a great job of drawing me into the narrative.

Technically, his variation is just a marvel. Acosta executes with the perfect amount of power to make his movements look so precise and easy. I completely buy that he's a guy having fun at his wedding! You can't see him concentrating, but you know he has to be. I like to imagine that's how Sia plays music!

The idea is to pick a favourite movie, character, animal, drink, song, season, book, colour, and hobby and present them as pictures. Let's go!

Movie: '120 Battements par Minute', France, 2017 (The English title should be '120 BPM'). The film is about the AIDS activist organization ACT UP in Paris in the early '90s. Brilliant acting and directing. Heart-breaking but totally worth it.

Season: spring spring spring!!! Because nature comes back to life with an explosion of colours, the temperature is perfect (not too cold, not too hot) and it's my season of birth.

Character: Lady Oscar my beloved! From the manga and anime Berusaiyu No Bara - The Rose of Versailles. My bi little self was SOOO in love with her when I was a teenager. I still mourn her death every 14th of July.

Book: 'Orlando' by Virgina Woolf. One of the most beautiful representations of love (and life, and personal growth) beyond sex, gender and social conventions I've ever read. In the background, a not-so-subtle criticism of sexism, patriarchy and society as a whole through Woolf's witty irony.

Animal: donkeys! Look at these cuties I met during one of my mountain hikes! This was a hard choice because I like almost all animals and I could have mentioned any of them from gekos to elephants but today I want to show some love to these sweethearts.

Colour: another hard one because I love all colours, but I stay loyal to my favourite since age 3, that is red.

Song: 'Alive' by Sia. The vocals give me chills, and it touches on something personal. I'm still breathing. I'm alive.

Drink: coffee is my religion.

Hobby: drawing doodles with colored pencils. I have many hobbies and I tend to go by phases, but every now and then I enjoy mixing and matching colours and patterns with no specific purpose, it's just relaxing and fun. My inner child is very happy.

🍄 What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?

He knows how to cook (that high Knowledge: World score) but 90% of the time he’s too lazy or has better things to do, so he’ll just grab a baguette and some cheese, olives, grapes, figs, melon and cured ham, whatever’s in season. Those are his favorite snacks, preferably in picnic format.

However—if he makes up his mind he’s going to make you a meal, it will be a treat. He goes to a great deal of trouble. First of all he’ll get up early and go to the market to see what’s fresh before he even decides on a recipe. And market day with Sia is something. He’s best friends with all the merchants. He’ll stop and ask the halfling couple who sell mushrooms how their kids are doing, buy pastries for the urchins, banter with the baker, faux-flirt with the girls at the produce stand… And he impulse buys, so you’ll end up with a block of nougat the size of your head or a huge basket of strawberries.

His specialties are wine-based stews like beef bourgignon and coq au vin, or curries he mixes spices for himself. He will take the trouble to prepare a marinade the night before and use a cookie-cutter to make little heart-shaped croutons as garnish.

The kitchen will be a disaster area when he’s done. If he were on his own the dishes would stack up, but out of consideration he may actually make an effort, though you might have to wait until the next morning and there will have to be something fun about it like singing or suds battles.

Maestro Aven’Turine’s mosaic at the Court. The multicolored petunias on the Citadel balcony. His butterfly pendant (a present from Kristov). His Boots of Free Rein (they’re really comfy). Woljif’s new silk shirts. Woljif’s horns. Woljif’s tail. (I’ll stop there.)

💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

I answered this one for his outfits but here another: his smile. Like the Cheshire cat it was one of the first things that came into focus when he was coming to life. It lights up his face like the sun. It’s genuine, sometimes manipulative, sometimes both. It’s optimistic in the face of terrible odds. It’s comforting to the people around him. It’s his secret weapon.

This took me over 2 months and, so far, it's the best fanvid I've ever made. I'm ridiculously proud of it and I only have a tiny bit of shame in saying so XD. The finished product ended up far better than the original concept I had in my head. I wanted to make a video that focused on how Merlin and Arthur forgave one another; Merlin, since the day he met Arthur, and Arthur when he learned the truth. Because the core of their relationship was unconditional love, to their own strength and detriment. I cried almost each time I worked on it.

2. I Became Greedy | Kurosawa & Adachi from Cherry Magic [tumblr link] [direct yt link]

This took me about .. I want to say a month? I'm also proud of this one. Cherry Magic is a light-hearted BL j-drama that - at its core - is about the importance of reaching out to others, and the bravery of reaching out and accepting someone else's outreached hand. I eventually want to edit a video on the overarching meaning of the show. But I... am a sucker for pining lol and I was so taken in by Kurosawa's pining. It was so poignant, I was literally clutching my chest in sympathy pangs. So, I wanted to edit a vid that emulated that and focused just on that feeling. And I think I??? did!

3. it's not living if it's not with you | Wei Wuxian & Lan Wangji from The Untamed/CQL [direct yt link]

This was the second fanvid I had posted to my youtube channel and I used a lot of editing techniques I had never tried before, so I learned a lot! I wanted to show as many aspects of wangxian's story and relationship in one video as I could without mucking up the pacing or making it messy in general. I love the colour palette and font I chose. Something else I really wanted to achieve was using a light-hearted song with a sad meaning over both sad and happy scenes, because that's a recipe for EMOTION. And judging by the comments I got on this vid, I dare say I succeeded XD I had a lot of fun making this! Even if I got stuck on it for a month and then thankfully could finish it when I was hit with an epiphany. I also cried quite a bit while making it shkgjhdf

4. A Favourable Misunderstanding | Merlin & Arthur [link to full comic here]

A meme re-draw turned into a fluffy comic because it took on a life of it's own and Merlin & Arthur are a force to be reckoned with when being idiots in love. I was also super proud of this! Despite the many styles in one comic (which is fine, I was just worried about nothing looking like it matched) I was happy with how I drew them! Especially as I find Merlin's face very difficult to get a grasp of, for some reason. And I was also proud of their characterisations! I still get so happy to see how well-loved it is, and so perhaps it doesn't need its own rec but what the hell. I love it, too hehe.

5. Balls the Unfathomable | a comic about a weirdly wholesome demon summoning [link to full comic here]

My friends and I, while on a call, fell into doing a bit. That lasted a really long time. And during it, I became a summoned demon nicknamed "Balls". No, I'm not joking. It was ridiculous and hilarious.

Thankfully, I remembered most of it and immediately tried to commit it to paper for - what I thought - was going to be a short, half-assed sketch comic. Nope. I ended up with a multi-page comic with clean lines and everything.

Funnily enough, I hadn't actually ever finished a multi-page comic before this. Not one so polished anyway. Balls has that effect on people, I suppose. skjdhjkfdg

So yeah, I was proud of finishing it, and of choosing a cute, simple style and sticking to it (cute, "less realistic" styles don't come easy to me, so I struggled more than you'd think trying to figure out how I was going to draw this skdjhkfg) and of how I structured the panels, especially when I really was just winging it. I do not know how to panel (yet).

Basically; I adore my friends and the fun we have together and I had to share this particular shenanigan and Balls themself. They've become a beloved character amongst my friends and I.
