Sam’s Weekly Wrap Up

Week one is upon us! My Advent Month has been so much fun to do so far, and I can't wait for the rest of it!

The Act of Healing It didn’t take long to realize that it wasn’t normal—that Harry wasn’t normal. That no one else could see the strange lights and dented auras that surrounded everyone. Harry had learned at an early age to hide it, to tell no one else about it. It worked. At least until he encountered a boy in a robe shop with the largest light he’d ever seen.

But what did it mean?

Renatus Reborn “I know Potter,” Draco began, leaning forward slightly. “I wasted six years observing him only for him to die in that forest. I don’t know who you are, but you somehow managed to get inside his body.”

Or the one where the rest of the world believes that Harry Potter came back, alive and whole. But to those that knew him, he didn’t come back at all, for it wasn’t Potter who stood before them. It was someone else.

Predicting the Present Malfoy—of all people—was the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, and Harry didn’t like it. He didn’t like it one bit.

“Professor Malfoy said we’ll be learning the basics on how to cast a Patronus!”

Oh really? That, Harry had to see.

Where to? Date time, only why does Scorpius think he gets to tag along? And is that a suit he's wearing?

Tricks and Giggles Professor Malfoy rarely gave extra credit, the harsh and bitter teacher that he was. So, when it was announced that all they had to do was get his son—Scorpius, who was still a baby—to interact with their Magic, they all assumed it would be a walk in the park.

How hard could it be?

Because it's you 'They are only together because they are soulmates.'

They were so much more than that and it was about time the world realized it. This is a story of how Harry and Draco fell in love and how very little being soulmates had to do with any of it.

Crude Coffee “—this coffee tastes horrible.”

“Of course it does.” The drawling tone was biting and held derision. “We here at Cup of Crude promise coffee in a timely manner, we never promised that it’ll taste good.”

Harry snorted, unable to help himself.

Two hc Drarry questions if I may and one request (again if I may)-

if each of them had a perfume, which would it be and why?

And if each of them had to their their shared kid, independently on a plane, and their toddler was creating a bit of a ruckus, how would their parenting react or try and mitigate their kids fuss?

Finally, I saw you made this wonderfully long guide to getting into dramione with a bunch of recs, would you mind making one for Drarry? It really read like Ravenclaw’s guide to dramione (compliment), which was wonderful, I just thought it would be cool if maybe u could indulge drarry 😊(like I’d love to know for you what u think ur intro to drarry is like you did for disappearness of Draco malfoy and all the other categories yk? Given ur the goat)

Hi anon! Let me answer your last question first. I did do a shorter list for an intro to drarry, as well as a follow-up post with more recs here. I don’t know that I’m the right person to make as in-depth of a post as I did for dramione. I’ve read dramione for 20-plus years, drarry I’m still fairly new to, so though the lists I linked above are filled with great fics, I’m not the best source. I will say that if you’re looking for the perfect intro to drarry fic, in my opinion that’s Away Childish Things. I recommend it to anyone looking to give this ship a try. I just re-read it last week and I’m already itching to do it again. It’s the perfect story to show how these two could overcome their differences, forgiving and communicating under some strange circumstances.

Okay, now perfume I know next to nothing about, so I’ll give scent profiles instead. Draco I think very crisp, a hint of floral, a whisper of sugar. Harry I’ll say more earthy, hints of fireplace but also fresh air. Again, not a perfume person so *shrugs*

Okay, toddler on a plane. Draco is not getting into this situation because you are not getting that man onto a plane. He is strapping that kid to his chest with a baby bjorn and they are taking a broom, portkey, apparition, Floo, the Knight bus, horseback, muggle car, literally any other transport.

Poor Harry is going to resort to begging and bribery immediately. That toddler is going to get so much candy and the promise of a unicorn.
