Time to finally donate the first part of money we raised with selling the first few sticker sheets!

Let me explain the calculation.

Buyers paid 7,50 € per sheet. The expenses for print and postal are 3,70 €. 10 Sheets were sold.

10 x (7,50 - 3,70) € = 38,00 €

One buyer was from Germany so the postal was cheaper

1,10 € - 0,85 € = 0,25 €

I myself bought two sheets which means no postal.

2,20 € - 0,00 € = 2,20 €

38,00 € + 0,25 € + 2,20 € = 40,45 €

= 43,55 $

I'll pay the fee, so the full donation is going to The Nature Conservancy.

Then, I realised that I read a number wrong and we already sold 16 sticker sheets so here is the donation for the other 6 sheets:

6 x (7,50 - 3,70) = 22,80 €

23, 95 $ and the fee of 0,72 $ that I will pay.

So, overall we donated (44,86 $ + 24,67 $)

69,53 $

Getting unemployment insurance and they have a job search portal and I initially wasn't going to check it out because I have a masters degree (or, I will in a month) and am looking for professional jobs, and I figured that job search stuff offered by the unemployment office would just show minimum-wage/non-college jobs, but I just realized that it's obnoxious to think that because that assumption is just a variant of the "I'm better than those icky poor people" bias/prejudice, so I went to the job search portal and checked it out, and lo and behold, a simple keyword search gave me a bunch of job postings that are exactly what I'm looking for - so basically I actually believed biased thoughts for a whole month and I'm just kinda sitting in the shame corner now

Of course ! There's several steps to the process that I will detail below, but in short : I have a lot of asks to process, so it takes a bit of time to get through.

When I have a bit of time, I take a batch of 10-15 subs and put them in the tracker. Currently there are ~50 asks, starting 10 days ago. If I got several asks from the same person, I try to spread them in the backlog. Then if the asker is *not* anon, I will answer privately to let them know it was processed + an estimated date for the post.

I also take time to reject already submitted animes (idem I answer to the sender privately when not anon), answer questions, plan out the post order so it's evenly mixed, and think of how I will tackle difficult cases (eg. the monogatari series which as many seasons), which imply some research

Finally the longest part, I create the polls and queue them. I do that every 2-3 days I'd say, and usually take this time to update the queued/posted/ended part of the tracker

I started using the tracker so the asks don't sit too long on my inbox, but the accumulated backlog is haunting me lol. There was also a few big asks with multiple animes, in which case I can't process a lot of asks. I think by next week I should have cleared the inbox so you should be getting feedback a lot more quickly !
