Watching a documentary about the guy who wrote the Doctor Who movie. He thinks they had two fatal errors that caused the TV movie not to be picked up as a series in the US:
the Doctor being half-human
the Doctor kissing his companion
Okay, I can see how the first one might have been an error. But the kiss? No, I disagree about that one. I mean, look at how many kisses there have been in the 2005 revival.

Okay, some of the fans in this doc piss me off. Why wouldn't you watch Classic Who? You are missing out on so much of the show, the characters, and the history. Same with those who don't watch the TV movie or even try to listen to an audio drama, especially with Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor. There is so much there!

doctor who is so perfect for me, because it is SO hard to run out of content. oh you finished the 2005-2023 show? how about 26 seasons of classic who! oh and here’s hours upon hours of audio drama content? ah! can’t forget the 1996 movie!! did i mention the books? and the comics?? like it’s a everlasting fuel supply for my horrible horrible hyperfixation
