KEEP BOYCOTTING STORES THAT SUPPORT THE ISRAELI ARMY. DO NOT STOP JUST BC OF THE “CEASEFIRE.” DO NOT STOP ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAYS.

Four days of a “ceasefire” during the year’s biggest commercial weekend means they’re actually scared of the business they will lose. So make them scared. As much as you are capable of, please do not give business to these companies during one of the most lucrative time of year. Boycotting to pressure companies can work and has worked in the past.

These are just a few basic links to information about how to boycott strategically (rather than just haphazard boycotting which is less effective) as well as a petition to ask Amazon and google to withdraw their tech and financial support for the Israeli army. These are not exhaustive and I encourage you to continue to research, as I will, to continue to make the most strategic and effective impact (this also can vary a lot depending on where you live, so research more localized info too!)

About the boycott…

This list will be an explanation about the different types of boycott and why we should try as hard as we can to execute each one ;

Artistically ; we shall boycott any artist wether a singer, writer, poet, actor / actress, or any person who makes any form of art who is too scared to even mention Palestine in a statement or a piece of their art, but we also shall not praise the artists who do mention Palestine to a high level or degree, because it’s an artist’s humanitarian and moral duty as well as the fact that it is their artistic duty to speak out about Palestine, because art is a form of transferring the stories and experiences of us human beings, and thus artists should be humane… and any artist who is not humane or a humanitarian in the first place is not an artist at all.

Industrially ; we should try to boycott any products that support the genocide of Palestinians as much as we can in all ways, shapes and forms. And even though it is hard sometimes to boycott certain products because we have no other alternative, we should keep boycotting everything else that we are able to give up, and for the people who say that it is too hard to boycott, just remember that with every penny and every dollar that you spend on a product that is on the BDS list, you are being complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people and you have a hand in it.

Ideologically ; we should all give up any mindsets or forms of activism that are deep rooted in zionist or pro zionist imperialist colonialist ideologies. that means that when you’re being a pro palestine activist, you shouldn’t begin by justifying or emphasizing on the fact that Palestinians are also humans or that Palestinians are victim of a 100 year long system of british and zionist settler colonialism, because that should already be a given… yet what you should do instead is begin by demanding the rights of the Palestinians because the Palestinian life is not cheap and it is equally important as any other life on planet earth. And do not be a pro Palestine activist if you don’t believe in the Palestinians’ right to resist, because if you don’t then you have again fallen into the trap of colonialist mindsets that view any form of (cultural, artistic, armed etc) as terrorism… that is not saying you should blindly support any Palestinian parties or resistance groups without looking at their history and their actions, because of course any political or military group that is in today’s world is not perfect and might’ve made mistakes along the way, but you should believe that we have the right to resist, even if you do not support any of the current resistance groups that are active in Palestine till this day. In conclusion, you cannot be an activist for Palestine if you dont believe that Palestinians have a right to resist in ALL ways possible.

Educationally ; we should boycott any forms of education that are in favor of Israel’s genocidal methods, strategies and ideologies. that is not saying however, that you should drop put of school / college / university if they are teaching pro zionist materials, but you should not fall victim to such education systems, and you should be aware and educated enough on the right and true history of Palestine so that you could stand up against the brainwashing of other less aware and less educated students… So educate yourself first so that you would be able to inform and educate others around you. (It’s is important to mention that reading into the zionist mindset is important in some cases to be able to understand what logic is used in such pro zionist arguments that are made so often, but one should be aware of the true facts and learn about Palestinian history from Palestinian or unbiased sources because zionist sources usually use Palestinian history and rewrite it in a way to make Palestinian seem complicit in acts such as the holocaust etc, which historically has been proven to be wrong, as Palestinians had nothing to do with European antisemitism or any of its late results such as the holocaust)

Not so friendly reminder that Tankies are people who deny not only the genocides of Russia but also Vietnam and China (including the Uyghurs), and are apologists for the North Korean regime. They push Russian propaganda of "colour revolutions" every time a Global South country rises up against a totalitarian government because they believe totalitarianism is merely anti-communist agenda; deriding, dismissing and dehumanizing the liberation movements of our countries that come at great human cost. They're not anti-imperialists or anti-colonial; their chief issue with the imperial core is that it's not their ideology seated at the heart of it. They only care about Global South lives when it serves their ideology, and have no genuine concern or curiosity about the ground realities or agency of the communities impacted by imperialism and colonialism.

I also want you to understand that every major power player involved in this conflict is a genocidal fascist. Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis that are fighting Israel are funded by the theocratic Iranian regime headed by Ebrahim Raisi (begging you to remember the hundreds of Iranian girls and women killed for protesting it). Iran is also an ally of the notorious Bashar Al-Assad's regime in Syria, responsible for the genocide and displacement of millions of his own people while actively funding the Islamic State he wages war against. Both Assad and Raisi are allies of Putin, who is currently trying to colonize and genocide Ukraine and is terrorising Poland, Hungary, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia etc. However, Iran and Putin (half-heartedly) are also allies of the Armenians who are being genocided by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is supported by the US, but also Erdogan in Turkey, infamous dictator that hates the European Union and is a close pal of Putin. Meanwhile the US's best friends in the Middle East is Israel, which hates Arabs, and Saudi Arabia, who doesn't recognise Israel as a country but is hated by most of the MENA and is currently in a Cold War with Iran.

THERE IS NO POINT TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO GLOBAL DEMOCRACY BECAUSE ALL THE FALL OF ONE DOES IS CREATE A POWER VACCUUM THAT WILL IMMEDIATELY BE FILLED BY THE NEXT BULLY.

These governments can only be toppled from within by their own people once external threats like war with their neighbours are eased, because militaries with nothing to fight are economic black holes that try to eat itself, and it's this economic stress that act as catalysts for coalition building and civilian revolt. Military losses weaken imperialists' coercive power and legitimacy over their own people, so the best thing you can do to help them agitate for change is preventing imperialist expansions from claiming any more victims.

#TL;DR: if the US divests from Israel #withdraws entirely from Iraq and Syria and actually commits to helping Ukraine beat back Putin #it would break Israel's continuing destabilising of the Middle East #and consequent lessening of external threat might lessen some of these states' chokeholds over their own people.#Sadly‚ it's also why the US refuses to do so. do people know why american university students are protesting at their colleges, as opposed to their places of government, etc.?

like, I'm sure some of it is proximity -- not all schools are near their state capitals or other centers of power -- but a *lot* of it, and the reason schools like Columbia are shitting themselves over these protests, is because of the endowments

#im just not sure how common knowledge this is #my school had kind of a high ratio of students involved in protesting the administration and i believe still does #but notably they are *not* protesting to this degree. why?#because when they told the president of the college they wanted the school to divest from industries supporting the war on Gaza #the president convened the committee that responds to those demands and they're actively considering the proposal now #(per the student newspaper)#instead of pitching a fit about what they'll do with their obscene amount of money instead of investing it in warmongering companies #will it pan out? idk. it took the committee 6 years to finally divest from the Enbridge pipeline #but the scale of the protests nationally may make them think twice about shooting down the proposal
