Let's set the record straight. If there was a single person going around blowing up houses and killing minutes old babies, we would be horified, incinerate him, grind the ashes, make them into a small brick and bury it under the jail.

So why is it "war" when the IDF does it?

You are witnessing a genocide through your phone screen. People are dying. Little children are crying for help and being hunted down and killed for it.

What can you do to help?

This list is by no means comprehensive, but among other things, you can:

Spread awareness. Draw attention to the little children being killed and displaced. When the IDF kills hundreds of hungry Palestinians while they seek aid, call them out.

I've mentioned this before, but contact the US Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your local House member or Senator. Ask what they are using your tax money for and implore they use it to benefit you, not to kill babies overseas. Demand they advocate for a ceasefire.

Use your vote. You are more powerful than you know. Whatever you do, do not throw away your vote! A vote thrown away is a vote for anti Palestinian policy. Sign up for mail in voting as a failsafe in case you cannot make it to a polling place.

Do not give into propaganda! The narrative that being anti Zionist is antisemitic or nazi-like is carefully constructed propaganda made to make you uncomfortable in showing opposition to the genocide. Not all Jewish people are Zionists and vise versa!

Boycott, boycott, boycott. Major companies are weirdly excited to warmonger, but warmongering is expensive. They can't use your money to bankroll a genocide if you don't let them have it.

Give to reputable Palestinian aid charities! Thoroughly research all charities' financial transparency statement to see how much of your donation is delivered directly to those who need it. Do not fall for Tumblr scams! Many disgusting people have been using the conflict as an opportunity to take advantage of well meaning people.

Engage with your community! This may seem unrelated, but people are more willing to listen to people they are around regularly. Help out, reach out and show your community that someone they trust is against the genocide.

Together we can free Palestine. Do not give up. Do not look away. Peace is not given, it is taken, and we are ready to take it.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

This is such bullshit, a slogan about liberating Palestine and the Gaza Strip form Israel terrorism is in itself cultural genocide? And you say it strips away the right jews? You know Jews exist in Palestine too, right? They exist before, after, and now while Israel is slaughtering everyone in Palestine and Gaza land!

Also calls for the destruction of Israel? Yes, actually your right about that part, because Israel is a terrorist state now! It's a state built on lies and death! You can argue that they want to reclaim Palestine as their "ancestral land", which yeah maybe your right. Palestine didn't officially exist until 1988 so it's not wrong to say Israel was here longer. HOWEVER, if the land is really of "ancestral importance" to Israel then why the fuck are they selling the land they already conquered to rich bastards? That doesn't sound like reclaiming ancestral land to me, that sounds like committing genocide for a quick buck.

Also, if the Palestinians were really wrong for owning the land, then why not just kick them out? Why put them in concentration camps? why bombard their homes and hospitals? Why slaughter their children and brag about it on TikTok? Why keep them in the area only to humiliate them now and execute them on mass later? Why destroy everything that is related to Palestinian culture with such sadistic glee? WHY BOMB THE LAND IN THE FIRST PLACE? If it's really ancestral land, then why are you bombing the soil and filling it with blood?

The IDF doesn't even care about who's a Jew and who isn't, they just want Palestinian blood. They are even willing to kill Israeli civilians to get it. They ruthlessly hunted for Israelis with Palestinian heritage and killed them in their own homes. Oh, and hey! The one time the Palestinian resistance managed to get Israel civilians and tried to use them as bargaining chips, the IDF just killed them all! All of them, even the Israeli civilians! So yeah, if saying this slogan really demands the destruction of Israel, then by all means, fucking scream it out to the world.

Look they're the good guys, okay? You should feel bad for getting mad at them for committing genocide. Everyone knows Israel needs to commit genocide to exist. Are you saying that Israelis should be ashamed for committing genocide which is literally their only reason to exist? That's kinda cold hearted. Maybe you should take a long and hard time considering the positives of committing genocide."

Okay, sorry about that, sarcastic rant is over. I'm glad you're willing to speak up about the fucked up truth. I know talking about it is only the first step, but frankly not enough people are willing to take that first step. Just like you said the media isn't even willing to bat an eye because both the democrats and the republicans supported Israel one way or another and they don't want to admit it. I'm still going to vote this year but still fuck the US government for helping Israel commit genocide for the sole reason that it will benefit rich bastards in the long run. The sad part is that's also part of the reason they want to pass a law that will get rid of TikTok and use the law to regulate what we say on ALL media outlets. This is why I hate Capitalism; money will always matter more than people's rights or even their lives. It doesn't matter how good intentioned you are, if your government is run on any form of capitalism, it will eventually lead to corruption and that corruption never goes away. Like mold it only festers and getting rid of a majority of it only delays the inevitable.

Sorry for the second long rant, I just need as many people who are willing to listen to hear as much of this as possible. But by all means do your own research, there are plenty of sources that talk about the slaughtering of innocent Palestinians and the ever-increasing fascism of the US government. Because we all know the regular news is never going to talk about it.

It's hard to talk about the war in Israel.

It's hard because it seems that everyone I know who IS talking about it, is 300% on the side of Palestine and Hamas, and they're sharing articles that make Israel sound like a country of barbarians.

It's hard to talk about because I have a friend who lives in Israel, who's literal job is to study Jewish history and then teach it to others. And she's been updating me (and others on her Tumblr) about her experience during the war. She's been sharing articles and videos and first hand accounts, and it all sounds directly opposite to the propaganda I see everywhere else.

It's hard because it feels like everyone I know doesn't care that it's her job to know the history and the truth. They keep sharing the antisemitic articles and cheering for the downfall of any company that half-mentions support for Israel or doesn't outright support Palestine.

For some reason, people are looking at this war that doesn't effect 90% of them and seeing it in stark black and white. They're raging against a country that has never hurt them, in defense of known terrorists that have never done anything for them.

And it blows my mind that I can't even bring up the idea that I want my friend to be happy and healthy and safe and for her life to go back to some modicum of peace and stability in the country she loves, because too many people will accuse me of supporting genocide and colonization.

Honestly, wtf is happening. It's like watching Donald Trump win the election and wondering how so many people can suddenly be racist, close-minded bigots all over again. How has America (and maybe the world?) been convinced that Israel is nothing at all but an aggressor and Palestine and Hamas are nothing at all but innocent babies in need of defense?

To all the people who claim this IS a black and white issue - honestly fuck you. No war has ever been black and white, and you fucking know it. Your brain's just gone stupid over this war for some reason.

To the civilians in Palestine, you didn't deserve the war brought to your doorstep by the terrorists among you. I wish this war would end yesterday and aid can rush to you and help you heal. You didn't (and don't) deserve to have your friends and family caught in this crossfire.

To the civilians in Israel, you have never deserved the vitriol thrown at you. And you certainly don't deserve to hear the world calling for the eradication of your country and livelihoods, all while erasing the terrible deeds done against you in this war. I wish I could erase antisemitism from the minds of everyone in the world so that you could heal from generations of degradation and mistreatment. You didn't (and don't) deserve to have your friends and family caught in this crossfire.

To anyone calling for the eradication of either nation - fuck you and your bigoted hearts. We're supposed to be spreading love, not hatred. We're supposed to care about each other, not hope missiles wipe imaginary enemies off a map.
