Man these two had something else!
Thinking about how Nala rushed in for Simba's aid with no hesitation even before his own mother as soon Scar said the words :
My mind went back to that specific one time he also didn't think twice when it came to her..

New Tournament - Extinct Disney Parks Attractions
Following the success of the Disney Parks Characters and Disney Parks Snacks competitions, I’ve decided to host another - to find our Tumblr’s favourite extinct Disney Parks attraction! Nominate your favourite extinct attraction or experience below:
Rules:
Nominated attractions or experiences must be from Disney Parks. That means no DisneyQuest, River Country, or Discovery Island
However, nominated attractions or experiences can be from anywhere in the world - Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, or Shanghai Disneyland
Yes, fireworks count as an extinct attraction or experience, as do front of castle stage shows and character meet and greets
As do attractions and lands that, for all intents and purposes are still standing, but are now something else, i.e. Journey Into Imagination in EPCOT that is now Journey Into Imagination with Figment, or Avengers Campus in California Adventure that used to be A Bug’s Land
You can nominate as many extinct attractions as you want, but please, only one per form. Also please refrain from nominating the same attraction more than once, that is frowned upon
Due to the controversial nature of Splash Mountain, I will not be including it in this competition
Nominations will be open until August 26th

Alright time to talk about the thing that is my entire life.
African painted dogs! These gorgeous canids are unique in so many ways, but my favorite useless fact is that they don’t have dewclaws!
Here are some of my pictures of painted dogs I’ve seen in person at zoos. Someday I hope to see them in the wild.
These are all from the Denver Zoo. That last picture is of Nigel, the three legged painted dog! His rear right leg had to be amputated for health reasons and his tail was damaged as a pup and ended up partially falling off. He’s doing super well now and is such an amazing individual. I was lucky enough to interview one of his keepers for a project in college!
These guys are from Animal Kingdom. Hate on Disney all you want but animal kingdom is an AZA accredited facility that participates in conservation efforts so don’t shit talk it on my post.
This beauty is obviously deceased, but I’m including them regardless! They are part of the collection and displays at the Chicago Field Museum!

Dr Grant Seeker from the Dinosaur! attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is autistic. His special interest is iguanodons.
I just want to say it's pretty cool you mentioned a character from a theme park attraction. I don't know if we've ever gotten a submission about this before. I love them parks. (genuine,excited)-Mod Dragon

Last May, which is almost a year ago now, I went to Disney World. This is from the first day, in Animal Kingdom.
Since there was a lot of waiting in lines and walking around, there was accordingly a lot of sneaker wearing! I haven't decided yet if I'll post other pictures of the trip since I feel like they have a disheveled feeling from park marathoning, but expect unelegant sneakers.
Despite technically being springtime, Florida will be Florida, and it was still pretty hot and humid (for me). We went to AK on the first day of the trip, and I actually got really bad heatstroke, but managed to hold out for the day and see most of the park.
For this day, I wore Mary Magdalene's Fiore OP with a separate collar to help with neck coverage from the sun. The OP has a roomier bodice than you'd think, so it was comfortable to wear.
OP (Fiore), cardigan: Mary Magdalene
Overblouse (from first pic), socks: Angelic Pretty
Shoes (from first pic): Fluevog
Collar: Innocent World
Wrist cuffs: handmade
Hairband: Henriette (Japanese indie brand)

On Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom, you may notice a closed road sign and a rickety bridge just before the elephant clay pits. These are remnants of a removed story beat where a main road was closed, which forced you to cross a bridge that rocked back and forth!

One of the major attributes I admire about this character
is being "Peaceful" way far from "harmless", even though I've seen some claims that Aladar's fight with Kron ended the way it did because he was the weaker, actually..
Aladar never went on the offensive with Kron. Each move he made was merely defensive.
Albeit the size difference
+ the combat experience Aladar lacked ( which should've made it more likely for him to seize any given opportunity to attack)
Kron took the initiative & went to the ground
Something which Aladar didn't take advantage of.
He blinded him
Slashed his chest..
That wasn't enough
He smacked him down
.. And still wasn't done until he'd finish him off completely if it wasn't for Neera's intervention.
You see that difference. Because Aladar wasn't primarily after leadership, but only wanted everybody to reach the valley safely.
He was never in for a fight. He had to defend himself against Kron who's mentality offered only obliteration for any objection to his methods or rules.
