(020) Goryu is TIRED of being a grunt leading a bunch of other grunts. He is determined to overthrow the leadership of the Decepticons by taking Deathsaurus out. But the rest of the Dinoforce thinks that sounds pretty scary, so they've collectively decided that they want to drop a grand eletrichord on top of Jallguar instead. Why Jallguar? Well... he's... he's... he's just a lot less scary than Deathsaurus.

When Leozack discovers this plot, he is forced to conclude that the Dinoforce believe Jallguar to be more important than he is. Absolute chaos ensues.

Can I rant about Victory for a minute?

So we’re watching episode 31. The Dinoforce had spotted Jan in this little Star Wars looking walker robot and they thought it was a new Autobot warrior or something, so they went to Jan’s school to attack it, right?

Well, Star Saber got a message that his son was in trouble, so he met up with Victory Leo to go stop the Dinoforce from hurting the children at the school.

They got there, Star Saber and Victory Leo combined, and they had a fight with Dinoking. But when Dinoking got defeated, they were all laying in a crumpled pile on the ground and Goryu, who for most of the show was mean to his subordinates, stood up and begged Victory Saber to spare his team, saying that he would take the hit to spare them.

Then his team got sad and they got up and stood in front of them, and poor Kakuryu grabbed onto one of Victory Saber’s legs and they begged their leader to run and save himself and let the team fight Victory Saber off.

Victory Saber was so moved by this, he PUT HIS SWORD AWAY and SPARED THEM ALL. But before he left, he told Goryu that he was blessed with a wonderful team and I just. 🥺

Just- Goryu showing that he actually does care about his team and then his team trying to save him for wanting to take the shot for them. They’re so cute and- aahhhhhhhh. 🥹

They were so grateful and Victory Saber just left to go help make sure the kids were alright, and the Dinoforce left with everyone ok. It was seriously heartwarming and my best friend decided she liked Goryu now.

      his 1970s fossil-guzzling monstrosity was a shabby stand-in for her hi-tech mobile unit cousin. no reinforced chassis, no double-armored moulding, no supercomputers with crash resistant casing. and her engine? oh, her engine, a chain smoking banshee with tuberculosis on speed. yet for all her inorganic flaws, she was an ornery steel heffer who never failed to bulldoze eddie out of a pinch.

      the hollow bumps popped underfoot as eddie manically pranced from one corner to its parallel. he rifled through several pouches before locating a tablet shoved into the abyss of an overstuffed duffel. speakers chirped in greeting as the handheld booted through a logo to the menu. a few taps populated the screen with an empirical application with a plain royal background. the mechanic set the device beside the young woman before tampering with the componentry on the shoulder strap of his vest. twin beady red lights blinked to life on the front and back of his right shoulder. a high definition projection of the van’s insides engulfed the tablet screen, mimicking eddie’s jostling.

      ❝ you can switch views. be the eyes in the back of my head, ❞ indicating the navigational options in the lower corner, ❝ there’s a three centimeter blind spot on either side. not sure it’s darwin award winning, but, uh, something to keep in mind. ❞

      hesitation burned like bile in the gullet. chris wasn’t a meek little fawn ready to drop at the first sign of struggle. there was no questioning her intelligence either. she was leagues beyond his bell curve but even the brightest could be overwhelmed under maddening pressure. and it wasn’t just tasks, he was asking for her to have a hand in his safety. shit was bound to go south, and if it went far enough to t-bone the equator, eddie wasn’t keen on the young woman feeling responsible if he was ripped apart.

      snow compacted with a crunch as ed leapt down from the tail. keys jangled as he slid them towards her foot along with further instructions, ❝ keep the doors locked. fuck it, even it’s me. i knock more than three times, something’s wrong. you get to the wheel and just, ❞ his lip curled inward uncomfortable, hand frozen mid-gesture as eddie considered how request she leave him for dead. he settled on a halted hand-chop and wan smile, ❝ drive. ❞

      eddie was about to seal the doors when an eerie cry humbled the dense night air. his spine jammed into an uneasy curve. nothing moved aside from the motes of snow in the moon’s bleached reflection bouncing off the frozen earth. the low timber carried overhead, slipping through the trees like phantom waves. nerves estranged, eddie fished a pistol from his belt and offered it to her, grip first, ❝ live rounds. safety off. don’t go for the head, aim for the gut. ❞

Deathsaurus (Victory) takes a dim view of the idea that there exists a universe in which he is not only NOT the rightful Decepticon emperor, but he's also recorded as a minor malcontent, to be casually destroyed at whatever time some glorified Decepticon clerk gets around to it. Piqued, Deathsaurus (Victory) throws the might of his own forces into obliterating the DJD.

The DJD... responds as the DJD does.

sorry i just. i just realized that deathsaurus has not one, but two potential combiners in his crew.

(liokaiser/the breastforce on top, dinoking/the dinoforce on bottom. )

he has liokaiser and dinoking. like he just has them on his team. and not only that, but there is the potential of both teams being able to double their numbers by splitting themselves as well. the breastforce could be headmasters with beastformer partners by idw lore, and the dinoforce are pretenders and can act independently of their dinosaur shells. (though given the instability of the pretender shells in idw, take the dinoforce having their shells in this continuity with a bit of salt)

neither combiner is used during the DOTL fight, but we know at least liokaiser is canon to idw- we see him later on in lost light. we don't see the dinoforce again in idw, but the possibility of having both combiner teams on the field during DOTL,,,

that means it's the rodisquad (minus megatron) going up against the djd, overlord, deathsaurus, deathsaurus' 200+ crew, and (potentially, if dinoking is real in idw) TWO COMBINERS.

oh, and greatsix- who might be a six changer.

im ngl if im one of the lost light crew having to go up against that mess and megatron decides to just opt out of fighting then he better hope i die in the battle 💀. bc if i live im going after his ass next

First thought on Transformers Victory:

They put Star Saber in a wild west themed area with cowboy music and then switched to James Bond type instrumentals in the first fucking scene.

Star Saber is three different heights and I find that amusing.

I legit thought Holi was Star Saber. His smallest form and Holi look so much alike why.

I love Deathsaurus man. The constant smirking, the kaiju altmode, his boob animals, and his freaking voice are all great. He’s a masterpiece.

Still sad Esmeral only exists in the manga smh. :/
