passion

cuddled in your bed,

we start to undress,

my heart begins to race,

now flesh, on flesh.

my breath warming your neck,

you slip in the head,

that gaze in your eyes,

my waist, you caress.

your mouth on my breast,

making me wet,

chills down my spine,

now we both drippin’ sweat.

never having to beg,

you always do it best,

your room, now my sanctuary,

I always leave blessed.

I’ve dealt with a hand full of men.

and every time me and a guy get close, it seems like he becomes uncertain

like hearing the word commitment makes him itch,

so he just keeps me around for the benefits.

you know, that couple stuff, he’s not really into it.

because he’s still scarred from the last woman that hurt him,

and he’s not sure if fuckin’ with me is worth it.

or surprise!

turns out he already has a girlfriend.

and nothing hurts worse than being the second option,

knowing that at any moment he could cut me loose,

while I’m over here feeling like I can’t live without him.

and as always, after a while, he finally decides to let go,

and I’ve decided that I’m sick and tired of being left, feeling like I’m disposable.

I want the guy that know’s for sure,

exactly what he wants, what he needs,

and he knows what I’m worth.

But until then,

I’m gonna take his place.

I’m gonna make sure to tell myself every single day

that I’m worth it.

That even though I’m not perfect,

I’m lucky to have me.

That I’m strong, and beautiful, and brave, and honestly,

right now,

me and my loved ones are all that I need.
