7th Night of #Navratri, & this 1 belongs to #KaliMa 🥳💙🔱🥳‼️

If you follow me, you know that I adore #Kali 🥰💙🖤😊.

This 7th night, we honor her as #Kaalratri.

Born out of the head/#CrownChakra of #Goddess #Parvati (in another form), much the same way Athena sprang from the head of Zeus … #MamaKali was born a #demonFighter.

Only she, was able to finally defeat the demon who’s every blood🩸drop, created copies of himself.

In my experience, people either love Kali, or they #fear her intensely. Those who fear her, usually fear themselves, fear their own shadow, & resist their #ShadowWork. Once you come to terms with your shadow (which she can help you with), you are able to understand #MataKali much better; then being able to see & experience her nurturing side 🥰.

Once she loves you, once you love her, well there are few things in this world as powerful as that🪢.

Currently, our world is in what’s called the #KaliYuga. This is a period of time where humanity faces its #darkness, & rises to the next age through #awakening. It can be known or feel as the darkest of times; but in this darkness, children of Kali can always find Light.

Kali means ‘the dark one’ afterall; & Kaalaratri means 'the death of time’.

She who is dark & timeless, can help us to see that both darkness & time are illusion, especially in the face of infinite Love, Light, & Power (which we all have access to).

Needed a book for a long car ride and found a copy of Grady Hendrix’s Horrorstor was at Powell’s— this took exactly that long to read. It’s a horror story set at an IKEA-like big box retailer (which I appreciated having gone to Ikea 3-4 times last month when I was moving). The ikea gets haunted. It zips along and the basic metaphors work, though the characters never get too interesting.

Because of the Kindle bookstore (I think), there seems like there’s a wave of pulp fiction out there where the prose just sort of zips along easily and there’s a super-simplicity to the character-work. I was reading the other day about how kindle audiences like there to be lots of dialogue. Wisecrackin’ heroes who have to learn to fight back. That kind of thing. It’s very different from my hazy memory of Waldenbooks-era pulp (which I’d say had more sex, more violence, worse prose, shitty premises, less to “relate to” or effort to provide hooks for readers). Between this and comics, it’s like you can really see television binge-watching warp a generation of nerd writers/readers’ brains/expectations. (Comics, it’s a lot of dudes who spent their careers kissing ass just for the opportunity to be responsible for like a low-watched show probably cancelled in its first season that gets labeled as “quirky.”). Like, this book feels like a Netflix show, but one of the ones that you find and are like “they made this show and didn’t tell anybody?” like that show about the murders on a cruise ship or Demonfighters in Mexico or Renee Zellweger having high stakes sex bets (maybe those are huge and I’m missing out though— I always add those shows to my list just to remember they exist...).

But i liked the early chapters before the IKEA gets really invaded by spookums where it’s just IKEA Heights meets Shaun of the Dead, and the fact that the IKEA is haunted is just slowly staring to sink in. I thought that was fun. It was a fun carride book. (They didn’t have Hendrix’s Paperbacks from Hell, which is what I was looking for). It hit the marks it had to hit — I just think I could’ve cared a lot more about the characters, who never got past primary colors.

I’ve read “Enoch” up to the “Enoch vs Besoboy” (I will explain the name of the character later.). It was cool. Comics are very intersting and I like historical information there. 

Some pages form the second “Enoch” volume.

Now, I decided to read “Besoboy” till this plot to understand what’s happening there. 

About the name: Besoboy, if translate it literally - Demonfight, so it’s a reference to Hellboy, because “fight” in russian sounds like “boy” and “demon” is “bes”.
