hey bestie i'm finally here with that essay about jacob fighting for bella's humanity w/o being a love interest bc the potential that has! he's set up to be the perfect avenue for it! he's the warmth and sun that she loved from arizona; he's the community and family she could be deeply enmeshed in w/ charlie and billy; he's a childhood friend who grew up (which bella's going to lose the potential to do if she becomes a vampire! and she's going to forget that past!); he's someone who fixes up old damaged cars instead of having perfect ones, and they aren't the *same* but they're still good...he's literally thematically everything best abt being human that bella will lose, AND examples of the negatives she sees in humanity, (all the times she thinks abt how the wolves are fragile in comparison to the vampires)...and it would just be SO fascinating to see that played out w/out the romance. it would honestly be even more powerful! bc baked into smeyer's worldbuilding is that vampires prioritize their romantic partners above everything else and having jacob be the true contrast to that where he's a platonic connection that bella genuinely values equally and she has to think abt how becoming a vampire would cut her off from the potential of connections like that!!! i am thinking so many thoughts

you're so right about Jacob being the perfect avenue to explore Bella's doubt about vampirism! the warmth & family & community & LOVE & acceptance & nostalgia she loves about humanity is all embodied in Jacob's character & in their relationship. she likes hand-me-downs & homemade gifts! she likes acts of service! she likes reckless stunts that remind her of her own fragility & weakness! she likes warm sodas & spaghetti dinners! she likes being reminded that she belongs somewhere! & THIS IS JACOB <3

the fact that their relationship isn't utilized to this end (or any end, really) is my biggest problem with Eclipse. Bella drops little hints in the narrative that she's nervous about becoming a vampire. there are so many opportunities— e.g. when Rose tells her story— for her to reflect on what she's giving up.

in the end, she doesn't sum up the argument in a compelling way & doesn't make her choice in a believable way.

in part because the event that kicks off her grand realization that she's not ready (AKA THE CONFLICT OF HER ENTIRE SERIES ARC) is ...graduation

big life event as a catalyst seems to make sense. but how relevant is it to her narrative? & once it's brought up, we don't we see her digging into why she's nervous. what about saying goodbye makes her not ready? what about getting what she wants terrifies her? what does she need to sort through? what plans does she need to make? we're left to wonder what's running through Bella's mind re: the biggest decision of the series...in a first person narrative. no!!!

Jacob, who embodies all these ideals of her humanity, should be the one to push her to this realization. the climax of her internal conflict should be focused around him: losing him physically/emotionally (or both), & everything he represents. there is so much weight that her relationship with Jacob adds to her choice if she's allowed to love him and Edward unconditionally! as a romantic interest, all Jacob's doing is pushing her away.

(& that's why this whole fucking triangle makes no sense. he loves her so much he remembers her from early childhood. he loves her so much he'll sit there for months & pick up her broken pieces. he loves her so much he'll spend every moment just doing silly little hobbies together. he loves her so much he wants to fight for her humanity "until her heart stops beating" AND EVEN AFTER. but he doesn't love her enough to respect her choices or opinions? he doesn't love her enough to know that by being an asshole, he's pushing her closer to death? imo this is where we see stephie's grubby hands moving pieces. Jacob loves her more than he's in love with her.)

& so, because the "i'm not ready" realization is tied to something Bella doesn't give a shit about, the realization that she is ready is equally empty

what makes her decide she's ready to become a vampire is GUILT & FEAR & ANGUISH. she's "ready" to become a vampire because she feels weak & useless. worse, this realization is not touched on as the event (the training sesh) unfolds. she has this realization OFF-PAGE & then shows up to Edward's proposal like "yeah i'm ready to become a vampire but first i wanna fuck :)"

& we're supposed to buy that? girl, you resolved nothing internally. you didn't show us what changed for you. you're making this decision out of fear instead of out of love. & we're supposed to believe this is what little miss "thoughtful & responsible" wants???

it's such a blatant disregard to all the growth she went through & the relationships she developed. you can't just turn Jacob in a fucking asshole & turn the choice into a non-choice & call it day. Jacob deserves better, Bella deserves better, & the readers deserve better!!

my guy was working on fixing his nation's issues on his own. he didn't need the traveler like nahida did (don't misunderstand this; i love nahida!!!!! i think she's great, but she definitely had some internalized issues). he himself was never the problem like ei was, he never once became even slightly tyrannical like she did. and idk about zhongli... venti wasn't faking his death like zhongli was LMAO. he was working on saving dvalin on his own, and honestly? i think he could have done it if the traveler didn't interrupt him in the beginning of the archon quest.

venti has also never once left mondstadt with a crisis that he felt like his people couldn't handle alone. the lawrence clan? yeah, he was asleep, but i don't think venti can control how long his naps are SJAKHAKGJG either way, he came to save his people. the cataclysm? i think he did all he could. idk i don't remember that part of the lore very well, i think he was really busy with durin & dvalin. the people of mondstadt still survived for the most part (rip signora's lover 🙏). dvalin's corruption? venti was right there, soothing him.

he never left forever.

he always came back for his nation.

also, isn't it interesting how mondstadt is so peaceful? you don't see an ancient god like osial assaulting his people. i think that's interesting. the calm before the storm? oh yes, mond is almost CERTAINLY the calm before the storm, but i also think it's so calm because venti is powerful.

i think he lied to us, tbh.

i think people know not to fuck around and find out with mondstadt. venti seems to prefer nonviolent solutions, but i think he would not be opposed to doing what has to be done to protect the peace.

ALSO. GOD.

he sees them for who they are. he sees their fears, their hopes, their ambitions. venti sees the people of mondstadt, and obviously does not feel superior to them in any way. he wouldn't casually hang out with them if he did.

Thank you so much for your post about Gamora and the way grief has been portrayed for her compared to other characters like vision. I have felt all alone for years in being upset that Gamora's death just didn't get treated like it was supposed to. From the beginning it was mostly framed around what it meant to Thanos and then slowly confined to Nebula before landing on Peter to do all the emotional work while eveyone else who was part of Gamora's life acted like they had no clue what was going on. Vol 3 felt like watching some sort of long con cover up job with people trying to pretend a murder never occurred. I don't know what Gunn was thinking because we all saw Gamora die. It was one of the stand out moments in one of the mcu's biggest movies. We have video evidence of the murder so why are they acting foolish.

Then fandom has been another mess. People thinking there just wasn't any time to have anyone else say any words about her death even though it would take less than 1 minutes for a sentence about how hard it's been for everyone. Some people are acting like Gamora never did anything before dying and the whole team was run by all the guys. On top of that writing fic has been pushed as a solution to this whole situation and it's not that simple. The canon has turned the abuse and murder of a woman into something we're all supposed to be okay with because Thanos was sad and most of her family thinks she has memory problems. Fic isn't going to fix this.

It hurts because you can see how in real life reactions to tragedies and loss can be different when people who aren't white are involved. It feels like the mcu mostly had time and space to care about some characters who died in IW and EG and not others based on the same criteria. I thought as time went on it would get better but instead it kept getting worse. First the idea to have 2014 Gamora instead of bringing 2018 Gamora back to life. Who really sat there and thought doing that was the way to go as if all Gamora's growth and healing was meaningless. Then the holiday special taking no time to address how Gamora's death had been for the team. Now we have vol 3 with its entire debacle of a storyline for Gamora where she's popped back in to deal with a mess she didn't help create with people she doesn't know and with no explanation of what she's been going through in the years since EG. Nobody knew what they were doing or where they were going with any of this and it shows. Gamora never should have been murdered in the first place. But since they went there the least they could do is not treat it with idiocy.

you're definitely not alone anon! the lack of mainstream popularity for gamora's character definitely made the experience of grieving her feel very isolating. like all my irls who aren't In This Deep with mcu who just casually follow were def more focused on the avengers characters and their stuff in iw or just weren't in deep enough to care much beyond it being a summer blockbuster (which is also valid!) so it rly felt like no one else grasped like just how much that movie imploded the gotg franchise

i must admit i second guess myself and my feelings toward the gamora situation a lot bc it just feels so weird that it seems like not many other ppl rly talk abt it the way they probably would if this kind of thing happened to one of the lead avengers characters or something. like it feels like most mcu viewers don't even realize the depth of what's happened which is so ?!?!??? so it's nice to see there are others in fandom like you who get it <3

and yeah, i agree with everything you said here. i think it's fair to say fandom often reflects like society in the ways they regard characters of different backgrounds, and i'd argue that's definitely happening here with gamora at least to some extent

Fuck what hussie did to A6I3-5 Tavros btw. That probably singlehandedly spawned the stupid "Tavros was a chaser" theory, he's an incel that acts like a dick and grovels at Vriska's feet there which makes NO sense, he died in a respectable way, he would rather die fighting a fight he knows he has almost no chance to win, if only to at least TRY to stop Vriska from doing something stupid that would get them all killed, rather than sit there doing nothing. Textbook Heroic death. And then when he's a ghost he's a fucking incel. What the hell hussie. You should have skipped to the part where he recruits a ghost army through sheer charisma (peak page of breath)

Anyways yeah fuck the Vriskagram flash and fuck everything it embodies. Including the infantilization of WV. That's an old man that's not a baby. He's older than all of you combined. I saw an interesting take where someone complained why so many people in the fandom just focuse on Bens death and not so much on Rey’s character being destroyed. That person said even if Ben is brought back, Rey’s character would still suffer and her character was more destroyed than Ben dying.

People argue about what was ‘worse’ and it really depends on where you’re coming from (if you’re primarily a fan of just the ST Rey is probably worse since she’s the main character, if you came here for the heroine’s journey it’s sort of all the same thing, if you’re most invested in the generational saga or the legacy of sw, the treatment of Ben is much worse, if you’ve ever been suicidal, Ben is definitely worse), but at least to me it’s pretty obvious why there aren’t hashtag events and whatnot for Rey. It’s too difficult to separate celebration of her character from approval of tros and tros’s entire mission to warp literally everything into a coronation anointing her the flawless new superhero face of the SWCU. She is the Brand Avatar, she embodies the new Disney mandate of shallow trappings preying on nostalgia, and she represents the death of sw. To the public, she’s inseparable from this abhorrent narrative. The ending always defines the audience’s relationship with a story.

What tros did was make the entire Skywalker tragedy from beginning to end into a footnote in the rise of Rey Palpatine, Born Perfect and Innately Good becoming Jedi Super Saiyan and being given everything because she’s just such a worthy empty vessel. Reypatine Skysurper IS tros.

Her character was completely destroyed, but DLF don’t see it that way and it takes actual time to explain. It’s very simple to see how Ben was shit on and pretty much everyone reasonable agrees that he was. For Rey you have to explain why it’s not a good ending for her, it’s not a positive example or good depiction of a female protagonist, it’s not ‘yay girl power!’, and it’s terrible writing. For people who don’t see the problem with it, you have to explain sw itself and how this is a wholesale destruction of everything it set out to be (including even its structure). If someone refuses to see what is so colossally reprehensible about the Replacement Golden Child narrative, they’re already seeing the characters too much as action figures to understand that this isn’t what Rey wanted because it is what they wanted and she’s a protagonist-shaped blank slate as far as they’re concerned.

Ultimately I’d argue it’s stupid to talk about which is ‘worse’ as if they were discrete events because they’re not. They’re fundamentally entwined. Ben was killed and Rey’s character was ruined both in service of that ending. Whether it was with malice aforethought or through sheer incompetence/lack of imagination is irrelevant. I’d say it’s marginally more likely there is actual knowing intent behind erasing Ben, where they genuinely don’t realise they took a dump on Rey. They thought this was a great ending for her and that she’s a great ‘hero’.

#the entirety of tros is completely unfixable so I don't know why we need to single Rey out #Luke and Leia are also totally unsalvageable if you try to go on from there #the whole Skywalker saga is totally unsalvageable and the Force is a malevolent video game power #just resurrecting Ben would not repair his story #I guess people forget because Adam did so much to give us the healed and reconciled Ben the story demands #that actually his redemption and character arc was completely botched by this garbagefire script #the film didn't succeed in ruining Ben but it wasn't for lack of trying you guys #it's not like the only problem is that he died #idk about anyone else but to me making noise about Ben isn't about me expecting them to fix this (bc they can't and won't)#I just want them to know how bad they fucked up and show solidarity to everyone who felt hope and love in his story #as we've talked about on here before- he has become the perfect personification of the 'real sw' the myth that Lucas was trying to make #and DLF are desperately trying to smother to death for soulless profitable status quo dreck #salt #a tros ity

❧ Heeseung

You were on a date at an amusement park

It was Heeseung's idea to get on the ferris wheel and you couldn't say no because he was so excited about this date

You get in and sit down, hands sweating bc of nervousness

At first Heeseung didn't realize how you were wiping your hands on your pants, looking around like a lost puppy

But when the ferris wheel starting moving with a loud thud, you got startled clinging onto his arms

He found it so adorable that you were being so clingy to him more than ever cuz you were scared

He would immediately wrap his arms around you to pull you closer to himself

You would bury your face in the crook of his neck, trying to hide your blushing face, "So you're scared of heights huh baby?" He would ask giggling

You would raise your head to look at him but once you see how high you guys were you would immediately get back to your old position, "Shut up Heeseung I swear.." you would say jokingly punch his chest

He would stroke your hair slowly with one hand and with his other hand he would hold you close to himself by your waist, place small kisses to your nose and your forehead

Since you're too afraid to look he would tell you how bright the city looked, helping you imagine the beautiful view

❧ Jay

Jay booked up a table from a luxury restaurant for your monthly anniversary

But the thing was he booked it from the terrace floor which was too high 🥲

You gulped down once you saw where you guys were gonna eat but didn't say anything bc you didn't wanna break Jay's excitement

He hold your hand to walk with you to your desk, noticing your hesitant steps

"Is everything okay y/n?" He asked but before you could answer he noticed how you were nervously looking outside, gulping down your worries

He couldn't help but to smile seeing his girlfriend for months being this afraid for the first time, "Oh my gosh you're afraid of heights?" He would ask in disbelief between giggles

You would throw him a death glance, making him laugh out loud at your adorable reaction, placing his hand on your waist to pull you closer

"Don't worry baby, your man would protect you 😏" he would say teasingly after pecking your lips

"Oh my, I'm suddenly not afraid anymore" you would tease him while following his lead to your seat

❧ Jake

Jake was homesick so you both went to Australia for holidays

He and his friends used to go hiking together and this time he offered to you

You said yes, not thinking there will be anything that can bother you

It took a while for you guys to reach the top as you took your time and Jake was slowing himself to catch your pace

It was all fine, he was generally so caring to you, he kept asking if your were thirsty or tired every 15 mins

And it was all fine until you finally reached the top, realizing you were way higher than you imagined

Your eyes went 👁👁 while you unintentionally took a couple of steps back due the highness

Jake got worried thinking you were dizzy so he rushed to hold you from your waist asking if you were okay

"I never thought it would be THIS high" you let out smiling nervously, making Jake sigh in relief

He would pull you into a hug, a hand fixing your hair to push them from your sight, so he can look at your eyes

"It's okay baby, we can turn back" he would say smiling and would buy you something sweet to eat on your way home

❧ Sunghoon

Sunghoon never liked anything that was too extreme excluding that day where he insisted you to take the water ride with him after you accepted to go to an amusement park with him

You definitely didn't wanna get wet att all

But it wasn't the least of your problems bc the ride was also going higher than average at one point

Being shocked at the fact that Hoon was so hyped for this, he was literally begging you, saying it was too hot so it would be fun to get a little wet, stumping his feet and looking like little boy with the bunny ears he was currently wearing

How could you say no?

You get in your seat holding his hands and it was all fine until you reached the top

Oh God, the way you closed your eyes with your hands, praying for your soul

And the water that got splashed all over you while going down didn't help at all

Hoon turned to look at you while he was scream-laughing, seeing how you closed your eyes he get a bit worried

Moving your hands from your face with gentle movements, he kissed your hands, apologizing for insisting you

When you get off of the ride he cupped your face "I'm sorry baby, I never knew you were afraid of heights." He whispered in a guilty tone

He would peck your lips and get you a big teddy bear and let you choose what you guys were gonna do for the rest of the night

❧ Sunoo

Sunoo organized a birthday party for you at the terrace floor of the café you both liked

Everything was so well organized, all your friends were invited

He texted you that he would wait for you at that café, making it sound like a normal date like usual times

When you got there he was waiting for yout at the entrance, giving you a big hug, he held your hand and lead you to upstairs

It was dark, so you didn't really realize how high you were going up bc you two never really get to the terrace floor before

When you finally arrived everyone was singing you the happy birthday song, everything was glowing and you were so happy

Until you realized how high you were

You throw yourself at Sunoo after accidentally looking down to see how high you guys were, he was quick to hold you in his arms while laughing at you

"I didn't know you would like it so much" he would say in between giggles

"I like it so much but I just realized THAT WE ARE SO HIGH OMG" you would scream to his ears trying to make him hear you thru the loud music

He would stay by your side the whole night make sure you won't get startled bc of the height again

❧ Jungwon

Jungwon called you in the middle of the night saying he missed you and he wanted to see you

You couldn't say no to him so you get dressed to meet with him

He sneaked out from their dorm for an hour to see you

When he came to get you from your place he said he had a special place that he wanted to take you

After walking with him for approximately 15 mins he lead you into a building, taking you to the top floor

"Isn't it so pretty?" He asked pointing out the view, where you could see the whole city, admittedly it was very pretty but also very high

Not being able to hide your anxiousness you answered "Yes, it is."

He would notice that you get intimidated by the height but instead of asking the obvious he would reassure you with words

"I always remember you when I come here, because of the pretty view in front of me." He would say placing a small kiss your cheeks before hugging you

He would never let go of your hands, making sure you feel safe

❧ Ni-Ki

Riki was turning to Japan to visit his parents and offered you to go with him

Ofc you said yes

But the thing is you never thought of getting there with a plane

You didn't even think abt your fear of heights until the moment sit next to him in the plane

When the plane took off you closed your eyes, praying inside

Riki would try his best to not laugh at you, thinking how cute you genuinely look refusing to open your eyes

He would hold your hands inside his, trying to show you some of his dances that his hyungs recorded

He would try to distract you thru the whole thing and when he noticed you get tired, he would let you sleep laying on his lap

He would stroke your hair slowly, saying sweet things in between small teases, making you both laugh and relax

Y'all like your deities with or without the shell?

Under the readmore is aaaaaaaaall color god observations and musings based on them, because I am studying to become the world's Premiere Chromatheologian and RGB Understander so under the cut is pretty much Oops! All Spoilers! up to the most recent episode of season 3.

Apparently Universal Color God Attributes:

Damage to their domain hurts them, but fixing the issue, or lashing out by using their powers destructively, can help them to repair the damage.

If they sustain enough damage, it can temporarily paralyze them and send them into a strengthened but 'exposed' state (chartreuse's spirit activation in the last fight of 19) and further damage after that will activate a failsafe, which is unique by domain but seemingly designed to give them the chance to balance things, but can get… very out of hand or backfire depending on circumstances. (see: cobalt’s failsafe sending mark's universe into a never-ending apocalyptic war because word of the cure for death became too widespread for the killing urge failsafe to affectively balance anything because every side could simply revive their fallen.)

Chartreuse's failsafe is something of a stopped time bubble quarantine where processes that require the passing of time cannot complete, allowing her the time to wear down the offending party to beat them to death or plan around finishing them.

Cobalt's is inciting war, the casualties serving to balance the scale. I'm not sure we know Crimson's yet- he's never taken enough direct damage without doing damage to compensate in order to trigger it, although i dont remember season one well enough to recall if any of the universe stuff in it tracks with the pattern bc season one is a bit fucky

Connected in a fashion that allows them to simply Sense the overall status of the others to some extent, although they don't know Why theyre in the state theyre in without asking (chartreuse [and by extension, folk, presumably on her information] confronting crimson via crimsonaut for pretending to be dead, Cobalt confronting both his siblings about how they are handling their duties improperly but not knowing about Folk. He knew about the constants deaths because hes a death god, duh, but he didnt use their names like crimson did, possibly implying they're erased upon death so thoroughly that only crimson and the constants can really recall a shattered constants' existence, not even the other guardians.)

Abilities of the guardians can be replicated by mortals through three apparent methods- through machines (dimensional bus, the time machine, presumably J0hn's part in Sephiroth's resurrection,) simply through advanced enough individual skill (Home MD curing death, potentially Dantoinette's universe portal travel, maybe Genwun's sped up time bubble that evolved them into Genfour? although that could very well have just been an illusion and theyre just like, a fuckin theater kid that was doing pretend character development for the Bit or something given GenFive turned out to be a zoroark) or through stealing some of the power of the relevant god (Dr. Order stealing Chartreuse's power, Dani maybe having stolen some of Crimson's when she beat his ass. Dani's one woman universal travel is like, wicked ambiguous)

Cobalt:

Can seemingly perceive or act through any living material. (The Tree. Cobalt instructed Larry to slap his hand on that tree, that shit glowed and he had a new deal tattoo without Cobalt ever having been physically present)

Can influence the resurrected by giving them a killing urge. Represented by an aberrant brainwave and a ringing in the undead's heads. This doesnt appear to be direct control- as the Grunk could clearly restrain himself from killing people that genuinely didn't deserve it (like nightly and cha cha, who WERE grunk event targets but not fatally so. Nagito was a crimson thing so it really doesn't count here. God poor grunk his life really is just a constant plaything in the hands of the gods huh) and Sephiroth very much had personal motivation to want to kill Folk. failsafe activates this ability on the scale of war.

Deals. The extent of what Cobalt can do with these is unclear but Iggy's god powers were taken from him as his part in the deal so what he can take isn't limited to physical things or things obviously related to his domain.

Weaknesses:

Deals. While this ability is impressive his preference for making deals for those that offend against his domain is potentially very exploitable- Larry's knowledge of the cure for death is, if word of it were to ever get out beyond Larry, wildly dangerous for this dimension, so technically the safest thing for the iron-fisted cobalt to do would be to nip the problem in the bud and get rid of him. But, fascinatingly, that wasn't even put on the table, the first thing Cobalt does is threaten J0hn, prompting Larry to make a deal. While Cobalt enforces death, he also doesn't like unnecessary death, and Larry demonstrably knows how to keep a secret for the good of the world even at great cost to himself and Cobalt is aware of this- easily clarifying to Larry the aberrant thing endangering the universe wasn't his timeloop business. So while he's clearly not letting his resurrection fuckery go unpunished, he's being pretty merciful when he doesn't have to be and from a strictly, brutally pragmatic perspective probably shouldn't be.

His control over the undead manifests as a ringing and an aberrant brainwave trackable by J0hn's equipment, and could probably therefore be accounted for and circumvented? J0hn has, wisely, largely sworn off fucking with people's brains after the sephiroth fiasco went So Wrong, So Very Wrong, Oh God Oh Fuck Someone Cool Almost Died, but if he hadn't, and if J0hn let his dislike for authority and keeping Larry safe outweigh reason like he let safety, spite and comedic value outweigh good ethical sense when reprogramming sephiroth, in theory Mr. 'hacked a time machine for breakfast?' could. y'know. probably do it. what is a god's authority to an anarchist, what better to challenge life and death than the cold and eternal machine, you get the point its a fun scenario

Chartreuse's:

Time Clones: taps into parallel timelines to retrieve alternate versions of herself to utilize.

Time Travel: what it says on the tin. Travel to the past creates painful splits in the prime timeline, but through careful action and traveling back into the past, these can be weaved into a time loop. A split from the timeline is a wound, and a successful timeloop is the surgical scar it can become with attentive care, to use a medical metaphor. Carefully closed and healing. Keeping Folk here is essentially akin to chartreuse pulling out her stitches on the initial incision.

Time Stopping: creates a space wherein things that take time to complete cannot complete, where things can move, but everything within is in a perfect unchanging stasis until the bubble drops. This is the form her failsafe takes.

Timeline Creation: can create timelines from scratch.

Can fuse alternate timeline versions of the same individual to allow them to coexist. (Ryan's confirmed in the discord that Dantoinette experienced both failures in 20, because Chartreuse fused the two instances of her to save the post-raid instance from fading. Could... theoretically do this to Folk and save herself the pain, but while Folk and Therapuppy are the same person, there's seven years and untold amounts of difference deriving from the time and circumstance between them and the inherent cognitive dissonances that would result from attempting that would be wicked fucked up to inflict, and that's assuming there isn't some reason that it wouldn't be possible anyway. while the two Danis had like. A day or so's difference between them, so she could be safely fused with the only dissonant thing being that she remembers both being too slow to prevent order's time escape and beginning to dissipate post-raid, AND losing that fight to her pre-raid. RIP Dani, that perfectionism must be kicking her ass)

Weaknesses:

Unwilling to use her powers destructively in her pursuit of domain repair and thereby much easier to damage to the point of paralyzing her, making her particularly vulnerable to Power Theft

Morally Optimistic. At one point in 19, she briefly justifies Crimson's shitty evil actions to herself after experiencing for herself how Wack the kerfuffleverse is firsthand, ("and all he did was kill a couple people!" Chartreuse. Honey.) and when she fights Crimsonaut she seems to actually believe for a second that he's actually worried about her when Crimson asks if she's okay after he beats her. Additionally, as D+, she concerns herself with trying to understand doctor order's motive, and after Larry defeats Order, he makes a point of confirming she feels no remorse before making his request for what Chartreuse does with her, and appeals to the idea of letting Order fulfill her desire to be a god in a way which isn't a problem for anyone and Chartreuse is more than happy to oblige under these conditions after what Larry's done for everybody. Then immediately threatens to evaporate him for playfully teasing her about having a crush on folk. Fucked up a little bit

Crimson's:

Universe Shifting: Travel between universes.

Universe Correction: appears to replace an aberrant individual with the 'correct' version of themselves for that universe, presumably sending them back to their own. (Mario from super mario was universe corrected, but still seemingly exists in wario form as evidenced by smashup kerfuffle, and was simply temporarily replaced with his corrected universe counterpart. But like. The dimensional bus system is still active crimbo doing the Put That Thing Back Where It Came From Or So Help Me routine aint gonna work if they can come back with a shrug and bus fare. you're fighting the symptoms without treating the problem)

Universal Constants:

Three individuals per universe that serve as the pillars which stabilize said universe, created by absorbing red orbs Crimson creates. Becoming a constant grants power, but also makes the constant fragile, and death wipes them from the face of the multiverse, only crimson, those he's possessed and the other constants seemingly able to recall they ever existed, although some physical evidence is still left behind (Larry's record of Nagito's death, which is just as redacted as everything else relating to him but still is very much something Larry has. Kind of a Voidfish adventurezone type beat ironically enough? Taako really has seen all this shit before no wonder he peaced tf out)

To counterbalance the weaknesses the constants have, they have a sort of spidey-sense to alert them to danger, and an intrinsic bonded connection to their fellow constants, and additionally, Crimson apparently doesn't suffer any pain from the death of constants or the structural instability of a universe.

Possession: what it says on the tin! Seemingly can only be done with permission to living things- none of crimson's direct hosts seem to have entered that agreement unwillingly, Valentine lost a bet, Hamburger and Crimsonaut have been by all evidence intentional allies to Crimson- but electronics are fair game, as seen with The Guy's suit. Kinda curious how that rule applies to bitches that are half and half, like J0hn or the clonebot gang, as its unclear whether The Guy's suit was yoinkable without permission because it was mechanical or because its not sentient. could go either way but if it's the former that's potentially very frightening

Fusion: Two individuals from alternate universes can be fused into one shared body which can take on aspects of either depending on which is currently in control. (possibly allows someone who traveled into a given universe to become a fixed resident there without it being an issue for Crimson, whose job is to prevent interdimensional travel?) Monday Mark and possibly T.O.M. are our main examples.

Corruption:

Unpleasant As Hell and can even kill you instead of changing you if you cant handle it.

turns the corrupted individual into a twisted exaggeration of themself, allows them supernatural control over their shape, and makes them very difficult- if not impossible by traditional means- to kill, based on Garfield.

Subjects them to control by Crimson, but can be exorcised of this influence just like crimson's direct hosts can, although the supernatural changes to their physiology are seemingly permanent, judging from Shantae.

Notable Weaknesses:

Exorcism can be performed to free a possessed or corrupted individual of Crimson's influence. Its unclear how exorcism works/is learned in CPUK, but confirmed exorcists: dantoinette and yung papaya's snake dad, confirmed non-exorcists: folk

The universal constant orbs are physical objects so they are Very Stealable and they grant a power boost so theres literally an Incentive to beat his ass for anybody who wants to be strong and either doesnt know or doesn't care about the whole 'getting erased when you die' part

Crimson has lots of tools to create pawns, but all of them have drawbacks. Corruption could kill a potential pawn, possession generally seems to require permission, and he has no control over the constants' choices and actions

Manipulative bitch's highest stat is charisma and it shows. This motherfucker is selling snake oil. If he was mortal rather than a Whole Entire God he'd make an excellent ineffectual saturday morning cartoon supervillain and i think everyone, including him, would be happier for it, ngl

Something interesting ive realized that likely wasnt fully intentional, is that a lot of Dr. Order's creations, considering her motive, can kind of be sorted by a color god it appears to be a crude attempt at mimicking the abilities of. My Grunk is a poorly executed resurrection, the clonebot gang vs chartreuse's timeclones (this one deserves special mention because Chartreuse used this shitty attempted mimicry to her advantage with D+, very smart and ironic play, excellent job Treusy,) spirits are somewhat similar to universal constant orbs (orbs which can be absorbed to grant power, but which have physical repercussions- key differences being that spirits require activation and grow stronger while attuning to a user without being used, and having far less severe drawbacks, taking a heavy toll on the body, but only once they've worn off and without the risk of wiping yourself from the face of existence,) and she also augmented Perfect Spriteman and Larry, which kind of track as crude imitations of Crimson's corruption!

Garfield was an acerbic cat who loved food and hated mondays, now its an actively malicious ever-hungry amorphous entity whose only weakness is monday and whose only consistency in form is 'cat-like.'

Shantae was (to my extremely limited understanding of shantae,) a friendly heroic type who had to introduce herself often, and she became something akin to a biblically accurate angel that can *only* introduce herself.

The Grunks a tough but sweet and supportive single dad with stage presence and a tendency to fly off the handle when he or his family are slighted, and now he gets so hype in the audience when his son does well that he bursts into flames and ascends and we get random grunk events along with the associated murder charges when he gets mad and the target sucks enough that he doesn't hold himself back from killing them.

Perfect Spriteman and Larry fit the trend of exaggeration of already present traits- Spriteman fucking loves sprite and became something that only thinks about sprite, and Larry the Florida Man, characterized from minute one by unpredictability and who spent his first matches in the series pre-shapeshifter transformation staying alive keeping stocks for Shockingly Long even despite getting seventh, became literally physically random as well as developing the ability to regenerate, albeit with the ability to feel pain normally very much intact, unlike Garfield just... Soaking up damage like its nothing in his pursuit of Jon. The fact that Arbuckle legit defeated Garfield, even temporarily, is terrifyingly impressive honestly that dude is fucking built different for being so chronically bland

i dont think they're actually corrupted in any meaningful way we have to worry about, to be fully clear, Spriteman was cured with fucking antacids, i simply think they could be a fucked up attempt at making something that kind of seems like it from a functional standpoint, from the wannabe god doctor that brought us green clones whose only fundamental association with time was accelerated aging and who thought an actively rotting corpse thats just reanimated enough that it can throw hands was as good as curing death

okay so like serious talk abt all the blasian edit discourse on genshin tiktok bc i wanted to say smth but also i dont want to make my tiktok acc public i just wanna watch videos so if u dont wanna read this you dont need to

i would like to start this off by saying that i am chinese, i believe my voice holds some weight in this conversation. my view on this is that blasian edits are completely fine and allowed, as long as you say you aren't "fixing" the character.

following that point, a few things i noticed while watching these videos is that both sides hold a lot of heavy,, sorta subtle racist views if that makes sense?

it's basically two extremes of the opinions.

on one side, i see people saying that editing the liyue and inazuma characters as black "fixed" them, that they were ugly as they were anyways and that they werent asian in the first place.

on the other side, i see people saying that the characters are being "blackwashed" and how their representation is being taken away.

both extremes of these sides i have seen call the other side straight up slurs and death threats and it is disgusting.

no, you are not "fixing" a character by making them black if there is nothing to fix in the first place, and what is there?

but no, it is not racist to make blasian edits, there's nothing racist about that.

some of the arguments i see from the extreme side of "blackwashing is racist" is that it's erasing representation and that black people should make their own OCs if they want representation, but here's the thing.

remember when white people told us to do the same exact thing? that if we wanted representation we should've just made our own OCs? do yall fucking remember that? because i do. i remember it vividly.

and another thing, blasian characters are STILL asian. shocker i know. making an ASIAN character BLASIAN doesn't erase asian representation because they are STILL ASIAN.

i've seen some people say that black people are using "blasian" as an excuse to "blackwash" these characters. i would like to clarify again that blackwashing is not a thing. it's not real and it never was.

so yes, blasian edits are completely fine and allowed. but some of you guys on both sides of this discourse and debate are being racist and disgusting. "fixing" characters isn't a thing unless theres like a major problem(sexualized, stereotyped, etc) and blackwashing isn't a thing, your representation isn't being erased.

that's just my opinion though, i dont speak for all chinese people and certainly not all easian people.

if im wrong in anyway, please educate me on why if you feel like it.

danny phantom 14-20 thoughts!! I finished up s1 :D these last few eps were actually really really good!!!

-did. did tucker really just say esperanto was a dead language only spoken as a secret code between geeks. google says around 100,000 people actively speak it. oh my god...it being an auxiliary language doesn't mean its 'just for geeks to speak in code' ...it helps bridge gaps between people who don't have a language in common...

-danny really isn't pulling punches when it comes to fighting the ghost-cop possessed people huh. like he SLAMMED KWAN INTO THE CONCRETE SO HARD. HE THREW PAULINA INTO A BILLBOARD. will that...I mean it WOULD carry over to their bodies non-possessed, right? like if the ghost piloting their bodies gets hurt?? itd be so upsetting to be possessed, lose time, then wake up covered in bruises (and possibly, broken bones??) real horror movie stuff im sure wont be addressed in any way

I am biased towards knights, and characters with swords, but he fucks so severely. and should sue danny for copyright infringement for stealing his design for his haunted house. if some 14 yr old broke into MY house and stole MY sword, id also be pissed. his evil winged unicorn rules too with its FANGS. and he just CAN SHOVE THE PORTAL OPEN WITH HIS HANDS??? is he the strongest ghost weve seen so far? idk but hes my fav. SOUL SHREDDER IS SUCH A COOL SWORD NAME TOO. ANY NAMED SWORD ALSO FUCKS. 'flaming bedsheets of DEATH' funny king. ALSO he was polite to dash and tucker when just asking for directions and telling tucker 'oh maybe, just a suggestion, maybe be nicer to me and be more respectful :)' I LOOOVE HIM.

-I noticed this in the Ember ep, but jazz has an electric guitar in her room!! talent musical queen!! its cool to see hobbies just in the bg.

-fright knight's murder castle reminds me of the booby trapped murder castle in zexal!! another supposedly 'for kids' show with murder/trap castles! we love that. if you are a dp fan reading this, give yugioh zexal a try. its also got 13-14 year old protags and involves (alien) ghosts. the cardgame is just a vessel for the plot, which is really good. (I just want more people to watch my fav yugioh, man)

I have three main gods that I wanna talk abt especially bc they've been on my mind lately.. Less get it, side notes are in (parentheses) and are bolded cause I have perception issues whoo I don't want it to jumble together is my point lol

First up is my asshole,

Giodine

they/them (preferred)

god/godself (i like pronouns that fit my characters, so I'm giving a bunch away for one night only at--)

ID : Giodine is colored with gold-ish yellow skin and ginger hair. Their eyes are a muted purple and they have tiny eyebrows. Their lips are a muted brown and are full looking, their nose is sharp and points down. They have wings for ears and is wearing a blazer with a long-sleeved, collared shirt underneath it. The background is beige with a yellow square and a dark purple square partially encompassing it. It is signed GH (for ghoulish husband), Spork, 21.

If they look weird here it's bc I accidentally made their face too long but believe it or not this is in fact just a doodle Ik I'm so fuckin talented babes.

Anyways, they're basically the first God to ever exist on my version of earth (though even that is fickle rn, world-building is hard unless I hyper-focus on it, and haha Guess What I Haven't Been Thinking About) and they're very egotistical and selfish. As I'll probably yap about later is how they're manipulative as well, especially to another God I'll mention, and very neglectful to the other... other one.

Their partner(professionally), or fiend as they call him, is sam who for the first few eons was, unsurprisingly, absolutely terrible to him. A few tender moments are few and far in between in what could only be described as a completely rancid relationship. I'll describe giodine's side and in sam's lil ramble, I'll describe his :]

I have to explain this because it's a big part of the lore and how they can't work together, even when one of them is very much near The Void (technical death for gods) BUT basically, with Sam, giodine created purgatory. The issue here is that they basically seduced sam into doing it. Well, even if they hadn't, sam was in lesbians(happy pride month lmao) with giodine and would've done it anyway. But the ISSUE is that with the creation of purgatory came complications. See, my gods have to take time to develop into their power, and considering giodine was first and sam was around 666th.. you see the issue. Sam wasn't into his complete power yet and thus lost a giant part of it that went into purg.

See, giodine saw no problem with this (until much later, they do get a VERY SLOW BURN redemption arc cause this ain't even the worst of it), they got what they were aching for out of them and thusly had no need for..sam. They laid him in the spot where she was made (fwi it isn't inherently sexual, it can be, but literally, they just merged together-- taking bits and pieces of each other (which sam did not have enough of) and earth and light yadda, yadda I'll post the story I wrote for that later if I'm up to it) and left him there in the grass.

Again, they saw no problem with that, the deed was done, they didn't care anymore. A common issue in their qualms, sam and Giodine. They did find an issue in Sam finding an issue in the lack of aftercare, which resorted to any message going to or coming from sam going straight to his assistant and going back through them for a couple of thousand years. They found that infuriating-- how could he not face them over something so small! and for years?! it was ridiculous. After forcing a face-to-face meeting, a heated proclaim of hurt from sam, and a bitter agreement to meet up every now and again, they got what they wanted from him. Again. It was a business after all, there was no point in making it harder than it needed to be.

Giodine doesn't necessarily like boundaries and tends to overstep sam's frequently. They also don't like his reaction to his boundaries being long jumped over, which thusly ends up in disgruntled messages being sent back and forth between them and his assistant for a month or three. It slowly gets through to them, but they tend to say some stupid shit and if they want sam to stay, they have to try and avoid mentioning how "overly sensitive" he is to something that happened eons ago.

(quick mention, there isn't like. time. here. so in all honesty, giodine probably counted earth days instead of Heaven 'days' to get that) Soon into their arrangements to meet, they seem to get on at least tolerable terms, obviously, a few meetings where neither of them feels like going apeshit and taking proper shapeless (or in sams case, he's got a newfound form for ANGER OO just for giodine 🤗) forms isn't going to fix a grudge that has yet to be apologized for by the way. But it's a start to a very long process down the road. Tolerance.

Giodine as an entity is very fickle and rude and demanding. They tend to have a short temper that no one else is allowed to have or comment on-- They were the first therefore they were the most important!

This is very obviously an issue. But it's mostly directed to purgatory. Almost all of their seething rage is pointed towards the poor entity, she's barely been alive yet and they already seem to hate her for things she doesn't know how to do. Honestly, I don't think Purg will ever fully forgive them for the unnecessary abuse of her character, but just as Sam and Giodine get on better terms, they had barely just begun fixing the hole in their relationship. As of now, Sam/Giodine don't have any minor plot points with purgatory other than the major one so I don't have a lot to say about their relationship right now. Maybe one day.

I'd go into details, seriously, but I just wanna ramble about their relationships with each other and their impact on each other's existence. Hope you don't mind a few secrets 😉

But, now, it's time for a new God, one I think most people take a liking to...

Sam (Samuel)

He/him

ID: Sam is surrounded by clouds in the light blue, fading to a darker blue sky and the yellow sun. His horns are a darker beige, which is being highlighted by the sun shining down on him, he also has pointed ears. His skin is red which is very prominent in the sun. His eyes are completely yellow, his hair, beard and mustache are also black. He has an orange scar crawling up to his Adams apple. His wings are a darker grey which is also being highlighted by the sun. His nails are painted black and his hand is holding up the black fabric barely covering his shoulders. Around the painting is a gold and red shaded frame with swirls complimenting each side and a crystal at the bottom of it. It is lightly signed GH, for ghoulish husband.

Sam, Sam, Samuel.

If you don't realize right away, Sam is basically Satan, he's the ruler of hell

Like how giodine was the first to appear on earth, as mentioned before sam was 666th for funnie reasons. Sam was made from bugs, dried blood, and sunlight which sounds pretty gross, but he's far from it. He's a silly, yet neat, guy. He wears Hawaiian shirts and khakis (not around giodine lmao) for cryin' out loud! how bad of a person can he be? Apparently to giodine (for a while obviously) he was the most retched entity to exist. This very much hurt him considering the amount of fake care they showed him before. With a mixture of confusing feelings (which wasn't supposed to be a thing but Univerce went "lmao you'll be fine" and left... short explanation, Univerce is the Universe and is the entity who simply builds these planets and gods that'll appear there and leave them to their own devices, xyr not extremely important in this story. Nor would they care.) and feeling used, he decided that no he wasn't going to take that.

If there is one thing Sam knows how to do is to self preserve himself, even if that means getting passive-aggressive notes sent to him every once in a while. While this period, Sam was surprisingly the least productive (unfortunately giodine knew this and eventually mentioned it in one of their meetings which made him hide away cause like hell giodine was going to be critical of /him/) but he managed. It wasn't terrible, but unfortunately, Sam being able to talk it out with someone who does practically the same work as he does and gets newer, more helpful ideas was better in the long run.

Unsurprisingly, Sam was the first to initiate the healing of his and giodine's relationship but it wasn't reciprocated. Who would've figured, aye? Giodine kept pushing it back onto him and ignoring any progress that could've been made before. Which was frustrating.

The painting above was 'painted' by giodine, which is sorta where their relationship gets somewhat on an understanding of each other. Giodine gets to take a deep long look into who Sam is and tries to express it but it never fit him, it makes them realize that they never really-- truly got to know him. And all it does for Sam is make him even more confused about his place in giodine’s mind. He figured it's another fluke to get him to do something, so he ends up distancing himself when they start actually reciprocating his friendship advancements.

Suddenly, like a flash, Sam was forced to stay with giodine which is where the majority. I'll explain.

Sam...isn't actually the ruler of hell. Anymore, anyways depending on the timeline. His and purgatory's relationship has always been complicated, she always avoided him, and when they talked she always seemed scared of him. So in the end, they've never been close. Distant. Sam always wanted to talk to her, he made her, but if she didn't want to talk to him he wouldn't force it. But imagine his surprise as Purg singlehandedly took over hell in a hazed frenzy.

And not only that, had a personal vendetta against him!

Well, that would be the only explanation to Sam considering how he ended up broken and barely 'alive' at the hands of her. Horns broken and in tatters, pain and almost obliterated it felt like a hate crime. He didn't know what to do when he made it to the office, Purgatory was creating chaos outside his door and barely being able to breathe he felt like it was the end. So he called giodine.

Purgatory

She/her

ID: Purgatory is surrounded by flowers that are dark grey and white. The light fades down into a dark green. The light shines down on top of her straight, white hair that has yellow flowers tucked into it. Her skin is a dark brown and has a orange-ish yellow scar on her shoulder trailing up to her neck. Her skin is also highlighted by the sun. In one of her eyes, her sclera is black with an orangey, glowing iris. As for the other eye it it has a white sclera and the same, glowing orange iris. She has wings for ears, one dark grey and one white along with beige horns. She has a white fabric covering her chest. The frame is gold with white accents, but also has vines and moss crawling up the side.

(may have goofed a bit and forgot to color the sclera of her other eye white but ignore that pls)

Purgatory was made by Sam and Giodine, but to her it felt like a mistake. Why make someone that you’re going to be terrible to, she believed. Giodine seemed to hate her and eventually made her section almost obsolete because she simply wasn’t able to keep up with the backlog that she wasn’t taught to deal with. Not only that, she didn’t have any help with any of it, it was almost like she was expected to just do it on her own. Until Death came along to help, but that’s not what we’re going to be talking about right now.

And also, Purgatory is Purgatory yadda, yadda, I wont insult your intelligence.

Giodine’s thought process (other than wanting to be Real Close to Sam and once that thought filtered out, promptly ignored it) was that all the extras that don’t fit in either category of their thought of good and evil they’d go to her. (doesn’t matter cause in Sam's system it filters through ‘levels of assholery’ and depending on how bad you are you either just vibe in the upper city under rule of capitalism and possibly many under paying jobs or being actually tortured for his amusement if you’re just evil. Morally grey. Anyway, it could work p well in heaven if giodine wasn’t such a damn stickler.) But in the end, every day, less and less people ended up in purgatory, leaving her with barely any people and more verbal abuse from giodine who ‘HAS to take them or they would be more dead than they already are’. You see the pain she has to go through, right?

~Idea section, this is probably not canon anyways so dont take it serious~

My thought is that another oc (BA, you may have heard of him idk) takes over simply because Purg took multiple hims from alternative timelines (which isn’t allowed but what’re they gonna do, undead a dead clown? multiple times from multiple timelines???)) because she adored him and they figured ‘well we gotta redo purgatory may as well do it like this’ and make him a demi-dead-god. i think thats a cool idea right? anyhoo

~Idea section over uwu~

Purgatory overall is a fairly timid character, she doesn’t like conflict, is easily overwhelmed, and generally keeps to herself. She doesn’t see the point in being in any drama if she’s just going to be yelled at and scolded even if it’s not about her. The only way i could describe her taking over hell is this:

She was tired. She was angry and after feeling like nothing was in control or in her hands, she snapped. Why doesn’t she get anything or get to be ‘all powerful’ but they do? She knew if she took on Giodine she’d likely get thrown to the void, but sam? He felt fair game. Considering her fear of both of these gods, she planned and got her courage up to take him over. She had considered negotiations but in the end, she ended up going into a haze and ruining everything in sight. She was more powerful than she thought and once she started, she didn't stop until Death restrained her and Sam was already in pieces at God’s doorstep.

The aftermath was fuzzy for her and for everyone really. Godine was planning a take back hell while actually worrying for sam, sam was planning for a retirement, and she was being consoled while trying to get in contact with sam to apologize. Giodine wouldn’t dare let her talk to him, until she just showed up in their office. She didn’t have a problem with Sam, honest, she just was going to take shit over, but it got out of control.

Spoiler, Sam took her apology and they actually became.. somewhat closer after reaching an understanding.

I wanna say that giodine took them being okay and sam retiring as good as sam did about purg running hell, but they didn’t. Giodine and purgatory actually barely got along in the first place, and only begun ‘working’ on their bitterness toward each other because they both had sam to encourage it. I can’t say for certain if they’ll get better, as theyre both undying and have time, but I’ll just say for now its uncertain.

Also, Death is Purgatory’s girlfriend after all of that lmao.

And.. yeah, i hope this makes sense and that you like my drawings and ramblings about my lil story in my head, i guess this is my way to develop it without just keeping it to myself cause god forbid i keep things to myself hshsh. Bruno’s gang with a s/o who usually have a tomboyish style but when she puts on a dress she “transforms”

Bruno Bucciarati

Bruno totally gets her reasoning. They’re gangsters, they have to fight and run a lot; wearing heels would be absolutely uncomfortable and it wouldn’t suit her lifestyle in the streets. Even if at first he may be a bit baffled by her harsh, even if not rude, attitude, he understands it too; they can’t be soft, while working. He too isn’t the kindest person around with people he doesn’t know or he doesn’t judge as harmless, so he’s not offended or baffled if she’s, sometimes, harsh with him too. He’s used to harsh attitudes and he knows that she doesn’t mean it in a bad way.

However, sometimes, missions requires not just strength, speed and brain, but also a good adaptability. For that mission, she and Bruno had to infiltrate into a yacht party, to deal with a possible new ally of Passione. He didn’t want to go alone, as, as far as they knew, it could have been a trap, so he asked his s/o to come with him, to have a backup in the worst case. When he turned around, after fixing one last time his tie, and saw his s/o, he was breathless. She was… she was stunning. Her beauty was exalted by light make-up and the wonderful dress she was wearing, her figure was valorized by the heeled shoes… he could just look at her with eyes full of wonder and utter love.

He just stared at her until her voice, powerful as usual, made him snap back to reality. He couldn’t help but to smile, while gently offering her his arm, as the gentleman he was; in a dress or jeans, she was always his G/N… he was happy of this. He was happy to recognize her in every outfit she was wearing, that her heart, her center, the part that he loved the most, was always the same. Who judged her just for her harsh attitude or her clothes didn’t know what they were losing: a strong and wonderful person, both inside and outside, who could stand her ground in sneakers or heels!

Leone Abbacchio

The relationship with his s/o didn’t start all smooth and happy, as she didn’t like his make-up -it wasn’t practical, c’mon!- and he didn’t like her lack of style. In the end, however, they come to a mutual understanding; she came to understand why he put so much care in being ready in the morning, when, after they were already close friends, he revealed her his almost totally sleepless nights, and he came to appreciate her almost tomboyish style when they found themselves to have to run for their life -and she couldn’t have run so fast with heels on-. They’re different, yes, but this doesn’t mean it’s bad!

On the other hand, Abbacchio appreciated her tough and harsh attitude. She wasn’t one who bought time, she always went straight to the main point and was honest to the point to be harsh, but Abbacchio liked it. He preferred a harsh truth than a sweet lie, and he was like this too. She never held back when she had something to say and she was doing so that afternoon too, while she was preparing for the upcoming mission. Abbacchio just grinned at her muttered curses, amused; now he was really curious to see her in something different than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt!

Everything he wanted to say died in his throat when she finally appeared, still fixing her hair and mumbling to herself. She was… radiant. He knew she was beautiful, oh, she was so in the oversized t-shirt she put on to sleep too, but now… now it was something else. She almost seemed another person! Soon, however, her grumbles remembered him that she always was his G/N, not another woman, and he couldn’t help but to huff a small laugh, before going to help her with her hair. With jeans or a dress on, she was always G/N, his strong, stubborn and honest G/N. This, all in all, was reassuring, for him; she was always here with him, no matter what she was wearing and what her appearance was at the moment. It was just a way to enhance her natural beauty!

Guido Mista

Mista never had any problems with his s/o preferring a tomboyish style over a more feminine one. It was her body and life, he had no right to tell her what wearing and what she had not to wear! If she feels more comfortable with jeans and sneakers, so be it. He likes her anyway! And, frankly, it’s better like this, since they have to run around a lot, to chase their targets! Mista’s also not bothered if she’s a bit harsh even with him; he’s not soft to the point to break for a bit harsh attitude! Also, being so strong and tough is, again, useful for the life they’re living, always on a thin line between life and death, so he prefers her to be like this than being too soft!

Mista too isn’t one who likes to be told how to dress, especially if this concerns his hat(s). However, missions are missions and he and his s/o have to adapt to it, as it happened that time too. He was grumbling, while trying to tame his curls, when his s/o, from behind, chuckled and offered to do it for him. He turned around, enthusiastically agreeing, and he just stopped, his eyes widen and full of amazement. She was… she was the most beautiful vision in the world. The smile she had on her lips, however, was the one he loved so much, that unique half grin that made his legs weak. He always found her beautiful, but now she was absolutely breathtaking…

It has absolutely been a wonderful surprise. Now he knows for a fact that she’s not only practical and strong, but that she’s so in every outfit she’s wearing! With sneakers or heels, he knows for a fact that she could kick various asses without batting an eyelash. He wasn’t worried to see a sort of “shift” of personality, but seeing her being always “her” is reassuring! He can’t help but to fall even more in love with her, even if he didn’t think it was possible; he’s so amazed and full of admiration for her, for her stylish strength, for the wonderful class that is just down her harsh attitude!

Narancia Ghirga

Narancia couldn’t care less for how his s/o dressed. A dress? Fine! Jeans? So cool! An oversized sweater? She’s so cute in it! Sneakers, heels… he doesn’t care as much as she’s comfortable! Sure, her harsh attitude almost made them fight a couple of times, but, in time, Narancia came to understand that she didn’t mean to insult him or such; it was just how she behave with everyone! And, well, all in all a harsh attitude was more fitting for their life than a softer one… if her toughness meant that she was a bit more safe, then it was fine!

However, when no one else was available for it, Narancia had to go with Bruno at important meetings, as his seconds and bodyguard -and he hated to go to such boring parties, but for Bruno this and more- and, so, he asked his s/o to come with him too. He was sincerely wondering how she would have looked in a dress and, maybe, heels… he had his answer when she called him, when she was finally ready. He was stunned, his jaw almost dropped! How can she be even more beautiful than how she already was?! She has to physically put up his jaw, chuckling and giving him a kiss, asking him if there’s something wrong. Wrong? Oh, she had no idea that it’s all fine, way more than fine!

For once, he’s really happy to go to this kind of parties, if this means to see his s/o in so pretty dresses! Of course this is not vital; he still likes her in jeans or a sweater, it still doesn’t matter so much! He just… he’s just so amazed, so surprised to see her so beautiful and strong, as she always was, even out of her usual style, when, maybe, she could have been a bit uncomfortable. He admires her so much! And he can’t help to fall in love a bit more with her… she’s so confident and beautiful, even if she comes as harsh! She’s way more than what she seems and he’s so proud and happy to be her boyfriend!

Pannacotta Fugo

Fugo is the last person who could give fashion advices to someone, seen his holed suit. He knows it too and he never pretended to tell his s/o how to dress. She had a tomboyish style, but he quite liked it! She was pretty in it, it was practical, with sneakers she could run faster… in this sense, it was right for their life! Her harsh way to behave was a bit triggering for Fugo, but, in time, he came to know her real character, that she wasn’t just harsh, but also determined, strong… he fell in love with her, with every part of her.

As much as he didn’t pressure her to dress in a certain way, for some occasions, as the Don’s parties for his allies and important members of Passione, it was necessary to dress in a formal way. He was content that she was fine with that -even if she picked the first dress and the first pair of shoes she found-, wondering how she would have looked in a dress and with make up on. It was something he had never seen! And his waiting was worth of it: she was wonderful, stunning, and he felt his throat drying when he saw her.

She was drastically different from the person Fugo always knew. But, in her way to walk and act, he recognized the confidence and the strength of his s/o. She was always here, just in a different dress, but this didn’t tarnish her true self. Giorno, per se, doesn’t care a lot about what his s/o likes to wear. If they’re comfortable in jeans and sneakers, who’s he to force them to dress in another way? However, as Don, he has a certain power to maintain and it goes also through style. His subordinates will respect more a person who emanates power also through clothes than one dressed lazily; it’s a matter of fact. Sometimes he just wishes to be able to go around just in comfy clothes, as his s/o! And, also, to be able to be as harsh and honest as her; again, as Don he can’t be so, or it’d be a total war. Still, he appreciates her almost brutal honesty, her harsh way to behave… it’s true, it’s honest, and it’s not meant to hurt him. It’s a gust of fresh wind.

However, at least for special occasions, such as parties he has to host for his allies and important members of Passione, to enforce bonds and alliances, his s/o too has to dress in a formal way. Even if she grumbles about it, she knows that Giorno wouldn’t ask her for it if it wouldn’t really necessary, so she accomplishes, wearing the dress and the shoes she has chosen with Trish for the occasion and putting on a light make up. Giorno’s braiding his hair, when she comes out of their room, fully dressed and ready. Turning around, Giorno can’t help but to open wide his eyes and stare at her in total awe. She’s even more beautiful than what he thought…

Even if she seemed almost another woman, her way to walk, to talk, to approach others is the same as always. She’s still harsh, she’s still honest, she’s still, basically, his G/N, just in a nice dress and heels. Giorno, even if he doesn’t say it, is relieved to see it; his s/o is one of the few stable things that make him feel at ease, and loosing her would have been devastating. He’s amused and proud to see her so confident and honest while walking around on her heels, like she’s still wearing her sneakers; she truly is a force of nature. And he can’t help but to feel his heart swelling to make space for new love for her… how can he not fall even more in love with such a strong and beautiful woman?

how do you deal with people bulling you, like after the lash out from jump? this isn't really related but all of the guys in my grade think I'm a lesbian which i didn't mind at first because I'm demi but it got to the point where all the guys think I'm disgusting and say that behind my back and its now more of an insult then when it first started out

hey! first off im sorry youre dealing with that kind of thing.

second, to answer ur questions: i think both situations r different in approach to fix the issue, so i’ll talk abt both separately!

so for me, when. well. Everything Happened, i took some time to regroup with myself and figure out how i wanted to proceed. a fair amount of the harshness and accusations were on jump itself, so it wasnt something i directly responded to which made it a little easier to distance myself from. as for the direct harassment i got in my inbox, i made a deal w/ myself to not answer a whole lot of it, at least not publicly.

i showed most of it to my friends (save for the few death threats and the like i got, which i just deleted bc Fuck That lol) and i shut off anon for a bit and said that Hey, i dont want to make this a bigger thing than it is publicly, if u want to talk about it pm me. and no one actually dm’d me about it (unsurprisingly, because once u cant do it anonymously ppl suddenly lose their confidence.)

for the whole Situation, i really focused on myself and reminding myself that Hey, /i/ know what i did and didn’t do, i know that i’m innocent and i made that the most important thing. believing in myself, as well as being able to fall back on my close friends whose opinions i actually valued, that made it easier to deal w everything! and here we are.

as to what specifically you’re dealing with: hi, gay and trans president of my school’s gsa here, and uve got protections in place ! u mentioned u are demi and get harassed at school by being called a lesbian. and while being demi (falling under the asexual spectrum) isnt falling under a protected class, there are laws in place in a lot of places that prohibit discrimination based on real or perceived sexual orientation.

that aside, i cant imagine there are many places that don’t have some sort of anti-bullying policy in place. these policies cant protect u if administration isnt aware of a problem, so as scary as it is u need to let someone know.

my experience w/ this kind of thing is that it’s…generally not as effective to go to a teacher. so i would really recommend going right to administration (principal/vice or assistant principal/etc) to deal w the issue.

this is strictly coming from a place of harassment around being lgbt, but when i went to my schools principal they listened. they have to. if u schedule a meeting with ur admin., lay out whats happening clearly and give names, and continue to follow up, things will change.

tldr: make it your school administration’s problem. make them listen. students have a right for school to be (for lack of a less corny term) a safe place for them to learn.
