So, suddenly my tumblr account stopped working😵 I wasn’t showing up on hashtags and my interactions with other creators seemed to be invisible to them. It felt a bit crazy when I was posting about updates on my 1 year on HRT which is on the day of trans visibility 😅🤨

Finally got email from support that it seemed to be a “glitch”🤔 in the system and should hopefully be fixed now🤞I will try with this post, and hopefully I will be able to reach out to you all in the lovely queer community on Tumblr🤞💜

The picture here is me appreciating my sweet travel size shark/blåhaj🦈 that I named Sharkira💜, they have been with me throughout all of my first year on HRT🎉 and equally so has the partner that was celebrating me and helping me with taking photos and everything💜🐺🫂🔥. Having support and love going through so many changes has been a gift to me, my Partner has been there all the way and knowing that they see me as sexy and pretty through all changes and celebrate together with me for feeling more my self🙏, and starting to feel that my body is me and that me and my body both are part of each other is such a strong and healing experience🌸.

Guys I have found almost indisputable “evidence” that Mavis from Hotel Transylvania is transgender.

Consider this my day of transgender visibility special.

Ok so Hotel Transylvania came out in the year 2012, so let us assume that that’s the year it is set in.

The main point of the movie is Mavis’ coming of age on and around her 118th birthday.

Subtract 118 from 2012 and you get 1894.

“What’s so wrong about that Violet?” I hear you cry. “Nothing about that implies transgenderness!”

That’s where you are wrong.

The name “Mavis” was only invented in the year 1895 by Marie Corelli as a name for a character in her novel “The Sorrows of Satan”.

Mavis could not have been named that at her birth. Meaning she must have changed her name at some point.

And if we consider that the film is called “Hotel Transylvania”, and not “Hotel Cisylvania”, then the implications are obvious.

Also if I wanted to name myself after a fictional character, Mavis Claire (the original Mavis) is an utter badass, independent, and interesting female character in a time (the Victorian era) when most were rather boring.

TLDR, Mavis must have chosen that name because it didn’t exist when she was born.

in all seriousness, here’s i think what happened:

izutsumi: doesn’t have the memories before being turned into a beastman. rejects the floral name that was has given to her(asebi), gave herself a new name. izutsumi isn’t written in kanji, so it kind of gives off the vibe that it’s meant to look random/gibberish to the reader

kabru: his birth mother gave him a new name while hiding from his father’s family. presumably a very gender neutral name. he kept it.

im not particularly religious but i think it’s very cute that Trans Day of Visibility and Easter are on the same day this year :)

its no question that something like this could be triggering or upsetting to a number of queer ppl given the current sociopolitical climate, so i want everyone to remember that u are loved!
