BHOC: IRON MAN #119
The change was almost imperceivable, so incremental had it been, at least to me. But starting at around this point, it was difficult to argue that IRON MAN had become a much better title than at any earlier point in recent memory. The new creative team of co-plotter and scripter David Michelinie, penciler John Romita Jr. and co-plotter and inker Bob Layton had focused the elements of the series…

Boda de Mary Jane y Peter Parker
Amazing Spider-Man Annual (1964) #21
Argumento: Jim Shooter
Guionista: David Michelinie
Dibujante: Paul Ryan
¡Y todavía me quiere!

BHOC: AVENGERS #181
This next issue of AVENGERS was also a book that my younger brother Ken bought his own copy of, though in this case that copy vanished somewhere over the years and never made its way to me. It’s a well-remembered issue, with the narrative getting back on track after a trio of fill-in jobs due to new editor in chief Jim Shooter’s new duties preventing him from keeping up on the plotting of this…

Just finished reading I AM IRON MAN #3 and it wrecked me emotionally. I think most Iron Man fans have felt that Maria Stark deserved more respect as a character. She is so important to Tony and I know I've always wanted more content about her ever since I read Len Kaminski's Iron Man run & Iron Man: Legacy of Doom.
(Iron Man: Legacy of Doom #2)
I AM IRON MAN #3 is a Mother's Day issue & a War Machine anniversary issue as well. Maria & Rhodey are two of the most important people in Tony's life and the creators got that and the whole thing was clearly made with so much love.
I'd been looking forward to reading this issue & it honestly surprised me a lot. For example, I did not expect Mojo of all people to be in it. The art is so beautiful & I loved the Iron Shogun & the War Monger armours. The issue had some really great Rhodey and Tony interactions - I thought they were characterised perfectly & were as ridiculous & amazing together as they should always be, in my opinion.
It also featured Tony interacting with a kid & it's perfect.
The flashbacks of Maria & Tony were my favourite part of it, probably.
This page actually had me bawling my eyes out, to be honest.
The fact that Tony has good memories of his mother - of them fixing cars(!!) & having food fights & just chilling together - really got to me. I especially really liked that she let him cry when he was hurt - it's nice to know that he had that with her.
I think every Iron Man & War Machine fan should read this issue. The whole series has been extremely good so far & I cannot wait for the rest of the issues.
