One thing that upsets me with the show cut short was the lack of information about the coven heads we got, especially regarding Darius and Eber because they both seem to have played a vital role. I am not just talking about the whole rebel thing, or the fact that they are both part of the new govern system, other factors play into that as well.
When we were first introduced to the coven heads, Darius is the first one to walk in, followed by Eber. In general, everyone else seem to walk behind him, as if he is the one leading them. When they all look at Belos, the frame shows us Eber and Darius standing next to each other, the two of them are the biggest shot here.
When we get a full view of all the coven heads, Darius is in the middle of it. They make sure that his frame is once again the largest here, the same goes for Eber a second later.
When Raine becomes head witch of the bard coven, both Eber and Darius walk in while Darius is the one who gives the bard badge to Raine. He’s the one who wants Raine to say something and also says to cut the feed, once again appearing to take charge of the situation.
Darius and Eber are the ones who hunt down Raine, trying to get more information. The two of them were already suspicious of Belos, but they saw Raine causing trouble and were like “okay this is bad, we need them to be more subtle” while Darius takes the lead during that.
In one of the ending credits, Terra has her vines around Raine, with Eber and Darius looking over in the background. Implying, that they were probably trying to figure out how to get Raine away from Terra.
Reschedule the meeting? Everyone else walks out, but Darius and Eber are the ones who are still in there while Darius is looking at the scroll, implying this was Darius’ doing, once again taking care of the situation.
Darius wrote a book about abomination magic, Darius had the old golden guard as his mentor and he was the one who knew about the draining spell. How? Was he spying with Eber, or did his mentor drop some hints regarding that?
And then there is Eber. We don't know as much about them as with Darius, but a coven head, constantly on Darius' side and then being part of the new system implies that their role was supposed to be vital as well. A lot of their behavior puts them at odds with Belos’ idea of order. Eber is wild and unpredictable, they are not ashamed to embrace their feralness. Judging by their username, they are openly proud of their upbringing as a literal wild witch.
How did someone like them end up working for Belos? It is easy to put two and two together why they chose to rebel if we look at their behavior, but why they ended up as a coven head is another thing. Did Belos trick then like everyone else? Was he trying to use their upbringing for his own goal, trying to convince them that they have the power for a proper co-existence between witches and beasts? Eber probably sensed....a lot of things wrong with Belos.
We know the selkidomus was hunted. And given that they are one of the main ingredients to make a grimwalker, for a long time too. I can’t imagine them as a poacher (though working for the emperor also means doing things you don’t want to do, I wanna know where that title huntsman comes from in the first place) and I cannot imagine that poaching the selkidomus would have settled well with the beastkeepers. This wasn’t exclusive to the emperors coven like the whole basilisk thing, hunting down the selkidomus was public. How they and Darius became friends is another thing. They are close, that much is obvious. It just would have been nice to know about both of their pasts and why they ended up close, especially since the two of them are total opposites.

Taglist: @hooks-martin @hookerforhook @batzy-watzy @wwenhlimagines @triscillal @cassie0sstuff @sheinthatfandom @eddie-kingstons-wifey
**All the positions and their names be referenced from this website**
Hook: Cowgirl
I can just see it
Him on his back looking up at you and admiring the view; with a smirk
BUT DON’T GET IT TWISTED
He is very much in charge
Will command how fast or slow you go; he doesn’t care about the speed….but will change it if he’s punishing you
“You can ride me a lot faster can’t you baby girl?”
If he sees you getting tired (or he is punishing you), he will just drill up into you with no mercy (you’re riding a jackhammer now)
Frequently brings you down to kiss you (Watering Can position)
Loves it when you scratch his torso; it’s like you're leaving your mark/brand
I CAN SEE HIM REACHING UP AND CHOKING YO-
Just to see you squirm a bit more, he’ll talk in Italian
Tw: google translate
“Prendilo per me tesoro, so che puoi.” (Take it for me baby, I know you can.)
Action Andretti: Bizet
Again like I have said in the past
Man’s a sweetheart but also very shy
This is the perfect position since he probably might clam up if he looks into your eyes
Not in a bad way ofc
From this position, you can’t see him blush
So he wants to be as close to you as possible
And he also wants to be able to slip in at any given chance
I think he prefers slow thrusts so you both can feel everything and take in the moment
Loves to whisper in your ear
“It’s almost like your body was built for mine”
I see him as a tits person, so he squeezes them from behind
After careful consideration, yeah my answer is still the same he is a tit person
OVERALL HE IS A SWEETHEART
Dante Martin: Reverse Cowgirl
MMMMM THIS IS MY DREAM SO EXCUSE ME FOR THE PRIVAT-
MANS IS A ASS PERSON
Smacks/gropes your ass whenever
And is a switch too idc what you say; So I think this position gives you both control in a way
If he’s the sub, you’re controlling the pace and more so focused on your pleasure by rubbing yourself
If you’re the sub, MORE ASS SMACKIN not hard or anything (he’s a soft Dom if anything)
I also believe he will pull your hair back to the point your back is on his chest (just walk with me) and he pistons into you
Is a dirty talker too
“Fuck you feel incredible. Come for me”
But tbh I see him more as a sub in bed so…he slightly whimpers and whines in my mind
Will ask you to turn around so he can see your face
Like I said prior, he’s soft so I cannot see him being harsh or rough in bed
Darius Martin: Forbidden Fruit
Teehee
Man is a giver; A GIVER I TELL YOU
Giving you pleasure to the point where all you’re doing is screaming and losing your breath?
Teehee he lives for that
“You taste amazing love”
Loves it when you are on top
Eventually, the position turns into tiramisu or you riding his face
I don’t think he’s a sub all the way but more so a switch who really wants to please you
Tell Darius what to do an he will do it with no hesitation
For an “actual” position, I think he would love the scissor position
It’s very intimate for him and it gives him access to his favorite parts of you
I also think it would be the best position as he can see your facial expressions and give you extra stimulation
Again Darius would be all for your calls and satisfaction
Ricky Starks: Oasis
LITERALLY IT’S UP HIS ALLEY
He can see everything
Tits, Ass, Face, Neck, etc.
He likes to be up close and personal with you so he can kiss you at any point
Also, it’s easy likes to motorboat you
Side note; we all know he likes to be called daddy
So yes he will be referring to himself as Daddy
“Look at you being daddy’s good girl”
Sex-wise, Ricky is a full Dom you cannot make that man into a sub
if you do, he is the brattiest sub ever
Mostly a soft Dom but will turn up the (h)eat when necessary
He just loves being in control (speed, position, etc.)
SUCH A FUCKING TEASE; will intentionally slow down just to see you whine and beg for more
I think he will also convert Oasis into the cowgirl position
Overall, don’t give Ricky too much power
Eddie Kingston: Temptation
Okay let's have a real moment (pulls up chair) This man is so selfless that it’s crazy
For the most part, I can see him as a missionary man, because of the fact that he doesn’t want you to put in work
With temptation, he can see your face and know if he’s truly giving you pleasure
It’s also the perfect position to touch all the parts of you that can give more stimulation
AND YALL CAN DO IT EVERYWHERE
Eddie is a Dom; both a hard and soft Dom
He doesn’t want to go too harsh on you (unless you want it)
Control doesn’t matter to him tbh
Will actually do anything you ask him to because he’s so hung up on pleasing you
LOVES IT WHEN YOU TOUCH HIM OR SCRATCH HIS BACK
“Touch me like that again”
Will ensure that you have more orgasms than him
Eddie is a selfless man and puts your needs over his
Daniel Garcia: Chibi
We all know that DG is a switch (man is a bratty sub let's be honest)
But more important he is an ass man
Chibi stands out the most for me to him
With the position, he can go the pace either you or he wants to go
He can also grab or smack that booty whenever
GOES CRAZY WHEN YOU MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH HIM
I can also see him in the Nirvana position
With Nirvana, he can kiss your legs
I wouldn’t say he has a foot fetish but at the same time yeah he does
WHICH IS THE SEXIEST PART OF YOU IN HIS EYES (besides the ass)
Take the time to appreciate other parts of you
I wouldn’t say he’s a dirty talker but he’s definitely a moaner
….
Even my ass can see that and I need glasses
Swerve Strickland: Doggy Style/Downward Dog
Okay….let me dream real quick
THIS MAN? IS A HARD DOM ALL THE WAY WE ALL KNEW FROM THAT DAMN DEATHMATCH
This man is my baby daddy/sugar daddy and he wishes to be called as such
You? You’re either a slut or a princess in his eyes (I’m bot-)
Loves Doggy Style cause it gives him so much control
Will pull your hair and lean down to whisper in your ear
“You like that, don't you? Lucky for you, I could do this forever.”
Will also pull you up until your back reaches his chest
OR OR
He will put your face down further into the mattress and make you arch your back for him (Downward Dog)
Loves to smack your ass and hear your muffled screams
Will overstimulate you until you tell him to stop
AND HE WILL LOOK OVER AT YOUR PANTING AND SWEATY BODY WITH A SMILE
otay…I’m done

A few weeks back, I made a comment to the effect of, "Belos views himself as the single human character in a muppets production." It has since then spiraled into an entire AU in my head that refuses to leave me alone. A few weeks back, I made a comment to the effect of, "Belos views himself as the single human character in a muppets production." It has since then spiraled into an entire AU in my head that refuses to leave me alone.
The basic premise:
Caleb and Evelyn found a weekly children's program ("The Boiling Isles") that features puppets; little Philip is featured as the one human, and since the episodes with him do much better than the ones without, he grows up into the role and eventually becomes a big part of the production staff as well
When Caleb and Evelyn die in an accident, Philip inherits the show
Some of the main (puppet) characters are named Luzura, Willow, Amity, and Augustus (you can see where I'm going with this). Philip would be able to stand these puppets on their own BUT
In promotional materials and interviews, he is ALWAYS asked what it's like to "work with" Luzura/Willow/Amity/Gus. Philip is absolutely INFURIATED by this because they're PUPPETS why can't anybody see that they're PUPPETS don't you care about the STAFF or the ARTISTS or the LIGHTING MANAGERS why does everybody pretend that the PUPPETS are REAL PEOPLE and why does HE have to pretend that the PUPPETS are when he responds??? He's convinced that some of the interviewers genuinely believe that the puppets are alive and tries to patiently explain that, no, they are just puppets. The interviewers always refuse to break the immersion.
Expanded AU thoughts are under the cut.
Caleb and Evelyn meet at an arts college. Evelyn is a film student, and the show's prototype is her capstone project. Caleb offers to bring Philip in as an actor and it sticks. Caleb also helps make some of the first puppets.
Little Philip's identity is protected by 1) the presence of a mask, and 2) the stage name "Belos". The name sticks around for his on-screen appearances.
While sticking around the set, Philip learns a lot about the different areas of production. He especially likes building sets, backdrops, props, and puppets, though he finds the writing process interesting as well. When he's old enough to help out with paperwork, he takes over the logistical side of things because tbh both Caleb and Evelyn are helpless when it comes to that
By the time Philip takes over, he's basically the head supervisor of every single department. His management makes the show's popularity explode
Philip is definitely the best at building and controlling puppets. Every now and then, he makes an extra-large "final boss" sort of puppet that only he is physically capable of controlling, and some of them end up in museums
Philip raises Hunter, but he's sort of the neglectful sort. He's ultra-focused on keeping the show his brother put so much thought, effort, and love into alive, and it makes literally any semblance of life he might have had outside of the show suffer
Similarly to Philip, Hunter grows up on set, but not as an actor. The production staff looks after him. When he's old enough, he also becomes a part of the test audience
The production staff is composed of the Emperor's Coven members in canon; i.e. Darius is in charge of lighting and wires, Raine is the sound director, Eberwolf is the lead puppet master, Hettie is the on-site medic, etc.
Luz and Camila are also a part of the test audience. I'm going to pretend that Philip and Camila are good buds in this AU. Philip inserts Luzura into the show as a character based on Luz
Basically most of the ire that Philip has in this AU is directed toward the puppets because they're not REAL why are THEY getting the GLORY can we PLEASE not pretend that these PUPPETS have thoughts and feelings and personalities???
He also doesn't leave because 1) the aforementioned attachment to something Caleb loved so much, and 2) he's put too much effort into this show already and he knows that no replacement could ever be so proficient at his job
Let's be real, Philip's work ethic is super unsustainable, and it DEFINITELY keeps him from grieving properly
When Hunter reveals that he does not, in fact, want to inherit the company that Philip has built, it's CRUSHING to Philip, who feels like giving it up would be disrespecting Caleb's legacy, unaware that he's staring Caleb's legacy in the face
Ideally Philip's arc (which I have hardly described here) would end with wealthy retirement and him being able to say "goodbye Boiling Isles" and never having to appear alongside those godforsaken puppets ever again

You know how in Camp Cretaceous Darius was our protagonist, Kenji was our deuteragonist, and Brooklynn was our tritagonist while the other 3 were tetartagonists. I definitely think Chaos theory is going to switch up which characters are going to be in the spotlight (and not only because of the Brooklynn situation obviously requiring a new tritagonist 🥲) this is how I predict the dynamic switching.
-Darius is obviously going to remain our protagonist I don’t see that ever changing and the plot is tied very heavily to him so I don’t have many thoughts on that .(I’m very excited to see more exploration of his psyche)
-Ben is shifting to our deuteragonist this time around seeing as not only is he taking charge of collecting everyone and researching the behind the scenes stuff (as well as having involvement with mantah corp through his work on the island), but his character is also heavily tied to Darius. Due to Brooklynn no longer being in the picture (☹️) and hints that Darius and Kenji are distant at the moment, he’s clearly the closest person Darius has right now and from their time on the island it’s shown that they understand each other in a way that others don’t (I mean he literally knew that Darius would be blaming himself for Brooklynn’s death and set out to reassure him that it wasn’t his fault).
-Next up is our Tritagonist, and upon further reflection of the trailer and especially the new poster that came out recently I think it’s going to be Sammy. I’m not a hundred percent sure about this but when watching the trailer there was a lot of focus on her much more than Yaz and Kenji. I think her ties to mantah corp are definitely going to come back and we can see through some hints in the trailer (and especially the new caution sign promo photos that were posted today) that bumpy is most likely living on her family’s ranch reaffirming her ties to mantah corp island. Do I know exactly what role she’s going to play? Nope no idea, but do I know I’m going to love seeing her more often? Yes, yes I do.
-This leaves Yaz and Kenji as our Tetartagonists. I want to note this does not diminish their importance to the plot. I feel like it implies that they won’t be as important, but that’s simply not true. Kenji is obviously going to have an arc centering himself, Darius and Brooklynn as well as his ties to mantahcorp through his dad. And from the small snippets of Yaz that are in the trailer we’re probably going to explore her ptsd further. They’re obviously going to be involved in the plot, but just not as centered as the others that were previously mentioned.
At the end of the day this is just fun speculation and there’s no way to know for sure what the dynamics are going to be like until the show comes out! I just wanted to put my thoughts out there on the topic because I had a lot to say about it.

I love your Fiddlesticks nickname hc for Raeda 😭♥️💞 do more Raeda HC if you like!
Ah I'm glad you like it!
It actually ties to another Raeda headcannon Raine doesn't swear, especially around children. Oh Fiddlesticks is very common to hear along with Titan or Fudge it all
Eda is the one to openly swear around the kids, she's got the mindset You do realize they swear outside of adult earshot, just teach em when it's appropriate. She was very proud also in tears laughing when Luz called Emperor Belos, Emperor Bitch Alot in front of her.
Their Palismans are reflections of each other, Owlbert is a lot like Raine and Fiddlesticks is like Eda in temperament,
Fiddlesticks gets into Trouble Constantly while Owlbert prefers to hide in Edas hair or interlocked on their staff
Fiddlesticks and Darius have a love-hate relationship with each other, especially after the violin incident.
Again Eda has given the Fox the nickname Fiddle while Raine occasionally calls Owlbert Bertie,
Raine and Eda Dance through life in general Kitchen they are that couple you can just watch them dance doing anything it's very clear they know each other the move so intricately
Eda may snore, but Raine is much worse. She will wake up, and Raine is splayed out on top of her like a starfish mouth wide open. She doesn't mind it as it actually amuses her,
Raine is horrible with the Camera, as in constantly taking pictures of their family, Eda yells out Nini has the camera to give the Owletts a chance to duck and run, to the Bards playful annoyance. They though took this as a challenge.
Raine talked to Eda and actually had their Bard Coven Mark removed so she could teach them Wild Magic, which they mixed into the Bard Magic to create a new lineage of Wild Bard Magic. As you can probably tell it's a very fluid and chaotic track, it's also made Raine much happier they've learned so much more then changing the chemistry of drinks with the mixing of magical lines.
Eda and Raine co-teach a class once a week on the importance of healthy communication in relationships at the University, not wanting other Witchlings to separate like they did over miscommunication.
They also allow students to approach them with relationship issues. A lot say the pair probably helped to correct a majority of relationships in the youngsters.
Eda and Raine lead the charge of disbanding the Coven system and instead made a council to run the Boiling Isles. So no one would ever have all the power to themselves again.
Eda personally handled Terra Snapdragon, especially after the PTSD she caused with Raine as they couldnt drink any drink without whistling into it for years, it made them sick elsewise,
They are the couple everyone knows. They inspire others to be better to each other.
They had actually talked about kids before so Raine fell easily into the role of Nini to the Owletts as they jokingly call their brood of Adopted kiddos
(Nini a Gender Neutral Term for Parent)
This is just some don't be afraid to ask for more haha

I love political and tactical fantasy shenanigans so I'm very 👀 over that appearing in the princess luz au in some way. There's so much you can play around with, like the public opinion, who gets supplies for not just the castle but the civilians, or runs this or that, and how the different coven's are run (i read a v neat theory that the abomination coven has more opportunities because of Darius, for example), any new covenhead will have to untangle the mess and horrors of their predecessor, and bringing in new people to run a section or help support a coven that's surprise surprise being held together by string and luck because the previous head was incompetent or didn't care enough. Or both.
Like the plant coven's plantations that are mentioned once in Hunting Palismen that guard the remaining palistrom trees. That'll need to be dealt with so more witches can recieve palismen, and then they'll need someone to carve them(possible lead in to Hunter getting intrested in palisman carving? ovo CLAWTHORNE CLAN APPEARANCE MAYBE??). Not to mention the overhaul of the education system, of which TERRA is apparently in charge of, which explains a lot, actually. How many buildings on TBI aren't built to sustain the boiling rain and rely on magic or pure luck to stay standing because the construction coven either didn't bother to do their jobs or they simply couldn't because they didn't have the resources and time, so those who have the most money get priority?
Not to mention taking care of monsters! The empress coven can't be too different from the emperor's coven yet, so they're not very efficient(because they're a cult and that's how they function) and someone has to address that and Lilith is too used to the system to recognise the problems by herself. Maybe Luz makes it law that all coven's now must have a head coven and a vice head of sort, so all the power and decision making doesn't rest with only one person?
Sorry, I'm rambling, I just love this kind of stuff, I go a little insane over it. Adding on all the characters being very stupid or very crazy or both makes for a funny time.
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!! THIS IS ALL SO GOOOOD these thoughts are all so good. at first i didn't want to plot a big long story about what exactly luz does to solve some of these issues, bc watching and dreaming addressed everything so well... but the circumstances of this AU have changed enough that i'm getting invested anyway. like. how DO you dismantle an empire when you also have to pretend that that empire is normal and fine and that your fragile allyships with power-hungry coven heads are fine and that your so-called "divinity" isn't based on the bullshit lie of a genocidal colonizer. HOO BOY.
i love love love political worldbuilding fic that explores things like infrastructure and different political dynamics and schisms in fantasy worlds, that was ALSO one of my fave things when i would write homestuck ancestor fic. plotting out what a galactic war might look like and how resources were distributed and how empire weaponry could be commandeered and how propaganda on both sides would function.... MMM. my bread and butter
i think the thing i've put the Most thought into toh-wise is the abomination coven, simply because i am a darius girlie and think about darius All The Time. like i think that the abomination coven has opportunities because there's a lot of capitalist stuff going on, because darius has taken a very libertarian-seeming hands-off approach to running his coven. but you can't apply 1-to-1 real world politics to it because actually, darius """small government""" deamonne is letting people get away with having fake abomination coven sigils and repeatedly break the law and game the empire's systems... all under the guise of "i don't know anything about that. i'm just lazy"
i had Extensive palistrom tree lore (and tragedy) planned in the darius & prev gg fic i outlined, i don't know if i'll ever write it in full but MMM the palistrom trees and the bat queen are on my mind Constantly. also tucking these construction coven thoughts into my back pocket for later use because i hadn't thought much about the infrastructure of the isles' buildings but you're RIGHT. living in portland oregon there's CONSTANT vicious local debate about rebuilding our bridges and older buildings and coastal evacuation plans for when cascadia ruptures, bc most of that wasn't built with a 9.0 earthquake in mind. could definitely pull from. All Of That. LOL

Post-Series Finale HCs: The Owl House (Spoiler!)
Tumblr media
(From days to weeks) Right after;
—Raine spends time between recovering and pitching ideas to rebuild the Isles, reconnecting with Eda. They find out what music range the Owl Beast spirit cannot handle to avoid making their girlfriend (later wife) go deaf. Happiest they have been in years since the breakup.
—To limited degree, witches can use magic outside their coven sigil now. The sigils cannot completely block other magic-types only just restrict it. Biles sacks are pretty fragile though.
—Several cults/religions tried to start up once people learned King was a living Titan. Eda shut them down before they could get established—the Collector has a few cults too.
—Hooty helps Lilith practice her own Harpy form. Has to catch her several times as the other half of Owl Beast is less sentient(?) than Eda’s own curse. It grows to be a Raven. He finds being in his “Porta-Hooty” mode to be more fun since he can hang out with Lily.
—Alador spends time catching up with his kids. He likes to study how various beasts and animal species are adapting to the raised left arm. (If the Abomination track wasn’t expected of his family, he would have joined the Beast track.)
—Luz does, in fact, keep a portion of her Titan form’s power. Being in direct contact with such immense power has left its mark. She has fangs and magic will spark off her fingers whenever she holds Stringbean. Her shouts are loud!
—The decision to tear down the ruins of Belos’ castle is pretty unanimous. They find several thousands of snails hidden away, remains of the Grimwalkers, and old wild magic texts.
—So much rebuilding to be done. Not just buildings but the entire infrastructure of the Boiling Isles. People outside the main cast wonder what in the realm happened for everything to crazy during the Day of Unity.
—Hunter does some soul-searching in between joint custody of the Nocedas, Clawthornes, Parks, and Darius (plus Eber). There is a lot to unpack in his life after everything that went down. He ponders what being a Grimwwalker means, processes Flapjack’s passing, and what he is going to do going forward. The poor boy is traumatized to high heaven being raised under Belos/child soldier/clone of Caleb Clawthorne.
(Yes. I headcanon that Caleb took Evelyn’s last name or they refer to him by that after finding out what his brother did.)
—Eda jokes about Hunter technically being her and Lillith’s however-many-greats-grandfather.
—Wrath has to go through a redemption arc. Seriously! He sees how much Braxas missed him and begrudgingly accepts that the coven system was wrong. It takes a few years though.
—The Collector does not go straight back to the siblings who left him alone. This idea is argued for by the main cast who want them to spend time being a kid. King begs him to stay.
(I do not know how to write pronouns for a person who has He/him and They/them).
—On a side note, everyone who was ever mean to King is now genuinely terrified of him. :)
—People wonder why the Titan’s left arm is stretched out toward the sky. Even Luz does...
Tumblr media
Four Years Later;
—The concept of carving a palistrum egg has boomed in popularity. Stringbean inspired many people to respect Palismen as individuals.
—Cultural trade between the Boiling Isles and Earth is still tentative. Unfortunately, Andrias’ invasion made humans wary of other realms. (We know ToH and Amphibia share a universe due to easter eggs. Might as well capitalize~)
—Gus secretly eats movie DVDs. He knows that they are supposed to be watched but they taste good. He will eat some on his lunch breaks.
—A president/representative has been put in charge of the Boiling Isles. Democracy is still new so there are a few kinks to work out. Each town has a few spokespeople for them to really give everyone a voice in how things are run.
—Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, Hunter, Eda, King, Lillith, Raine, and the others are still the main celebrities on the island. Their popularity has finally died down from fan-worship levels much to their relief (Raine, Hunter, & King mainly).
—King keeps discovering glyph types outside his parent/father’s elemental ones. The combo testing can get a little crazy since this is his new magic language! He is really excited to learn it.
—Funnily enough, future students of Eda’s have visited using the time pools. They never say anything too revealing about the future but the subtle picture they paint is chaotic.
—The Basilisks help the Unversity of Wild Magic keep from burning down/freezing/exploding/imploding/getting damaged by wild studies.
—Willow acts as a motivational speaker for young witches and demons in the Flyer Derby off-season. The still-new freedom of magic can be overwhelming in sheer choices to the kids.
—Camila can only handle a certain amount of the Boiling Isles’ otherness. She loves that her first kid found such an accepting second home, really she does! But it is still a lot to take in...
—The Collector took care of the Titantrappers years ago. Only the youngest members are more open to interacting with King.
—Eda still finds it ironic she became a teacher.
—Amity spends her days exploring the world, though she is always a call away from Luz and her friends. She did not expect to fall in love with exploring different Titan-civilizations.
—Viney has interned under Camila to learn about Earth animals. The difference in biology between the two realms plays a part in how she judges treating pets at her mythical pet clinic. Some species react adversely to magic being used on them which she learns cause of it.
—Hunter gives each past Golden Guard a name based on what little he could find about their personalities. He still sees their ghosts but in a “guardian angel” way. Is for sure dating Willow.
...It. It took a while for him to carve Waffles.

Owl House Finale Headcanons
According to Dana in the Post-Hoot, our headcanons can basically be canon at this point because she's not in charge of the story anymore. Okay, challenge accepted!
First of all, the boiling isles is now a democracy. Led by several powerful witches, but they have to be voted in. So Raine would be partly in charge, probably Darius and Eberwolf, maybe Mason, Hettie, Osran, etc, but definitely not the jerks Adrian and Terra.
Second, although Dana said Hunter and Eda don't know about the Caleb, Evelyn and Clawthorne connection, that doesn't sit right with me. So like my fanfic dictates, eventually they might make a deduction, but not a sure conclusion that Hunter is related to the Clawthornes. Even if they don't for sure recognize the fact, they will eventually come to see Hunter as family and he will have Clawthorne as one of his last names (Until he marries Willow).
Third, Alador instantly starts his work on sigil removal gloves. Several people didn't seem to have one in the epilogue, but it seemed like they were celebrating that kid getting his removed. Alador must have gone through many versions of the unbranding glove, and this one wasn't the one to blow up or something...?
Lastly, some Hexside Head-canons!
lots of more students start taking mixed tracks nearly immediately. I mean, we saw it in the epilogue, but I think as one of the final "screw you"s to Belos, lots of students just start practicing other magics.
The Hexsquad are some of the most popular students at the school, for saving the Boiling Isles and everything.
Gus becomes the reinstated president of the Human Appreciation Society. He has a lot more knowledge to share with the group. Many people in the group keep asking to go the human realm, now that they have a working portal. Before they can even think of going however, Gus grills them with pop quizzes and disguise tutorials to help them fit in with the Human Realm and not stand out too much.
Hunter enrolls into Hexside. Like Luz, he doesn't have a normal way of casting magic (seeing as he has a palisman magic implant), so like Luz he takes a bit of everything. He struggles with some offensive magic, (construction, elemental, etc) but he excels at teleportation. He doesn't cast spell circles that much like Luz. Meanwhile, Luz is happy to have someone in the study course as her.
After some time at the Owl House, Eda realizes Hunter has a dream of carving Palismen. She tells her Dad, and thus he shows him the ropes. He becomes an apprentice to Dell.
Hunter takes some time to carve his own Palisman. He most likely waits until after he's nearly completed his first year of Hexside. After carving Waffles, he no longer struggles, and he's twice as powerful as when he had Flapjack (cause twice the palisman magic, ehhh).
Hunter and Willow become an item a few months after defeating Belos.
For Hunter's last and only two years of Hexside, Willow and Him become Grom King and Queen. Willow's biggest fear is him dying and her being unable to save him. Hunter's biggest fear is Belos returning and attacking everyone he cares about. Hunter and Willow have their own version of the Lumity Grom dance. The last Grom Hunter goes to is where Hunter and Willow share their first lip kiss. (If you haven't noticed, I believe their relationship will be taken slowly.)
Hunter graduates with Honours from Hexside, and takes a full time apprenticeship with Dell instead of going to University. Hunter already knows what he wants to do and this is the best way to achieve it.
Amity also opts out from University after graduating, instead taking a real apprenticeship with Lillith.
Willow also opts out of University, instead pursuing professional Flyer Derby playing.
Gus graduates early, also with honors, and becomes a TA at the University for Wild Magic. He starts an exchange program with the Human Realm and teaches side courses about the Human Realm and it's historical connection with the Demon Realm.
Other Headcanons.
Not that Gus couldn't be Bisexual, but honestly I thought him Matt wouldn't be a thing. I think blushes equal crushes, and Matt and Gus don't blush around each other. Heck, Matt has shown interest in Celine and the little sister "Roka," and Gus has been blushy around Bria, but not Matt.
As for the couples, I'm not sure if Raeda is married in the epilogue or if they eventually get married. They might just be content with living with each other romantically.
Lumity will wait until Luz is finished University until they get married.
Huntlow will probably wait for the marriage until Hunter is near mid 20's.
Lumity and Huntlow will start having kids around the same time.

Let's talk about Fast Forward for a bit.
Specifically I want to talk about the main theme of that season: why? Why did the art style deteriorate so much? Why did the writing get so bad? Why did this come out before season 5 but also supposedly happens after season 5 and at the same time only occasionally acknowledges its events? Why is there a kid now? Why am I watching this when I only really care about maybe three episodes at best?
Because I was bored. But let's go with order.
I'm going to say it now, I'm still going to claim there is no season 6 in Ba Sing Se. But at the same time, it isn't all that bad actually?
Here's the thing. FF was inevitable for many reasons. TMNT, with its aliens and magic, has the potential to go on forever. However, at some point "turtle fatigue" will set in. In the 80s, this happened around season 7 which yeah, it's about 150 episodes in. For the 2003 show it happens around season 5 but this doesn't mean the higher-ups will try stupid changes to bring back the old glory.
Moreover, the show brought it upon itself. The main culprits, so to speak, are the writing's insistence on portraying consequences as much as possible (see: Leo's scarred shell for instance), as well as season 4 with its funny gory shift (see: that one episode where Baxter watches his own body fall apart which wow).
So it isn't unexpected that the higher-ups and especially the toy maker went "Kids, could you lighten up a little?" and messed up everything that was good about the show.
So this is basically why I don’t like FF. Five seasons are a long commitment. You have to sit through the ninja tribunal arc which is boring as hell, then have to be really patient and accept that there are just dragons now for some reason. Then FF comes up and it has nothing of what you previously enjoyed. The style is different, too flat and kinda clunky and ugly in some spots, nothing that happened before matters and now Cody is there.
Remember networks, kids don't want to watch other kids go on adventures in their place and it doesn't get better with age. But you do you.
So I despised FF but after rewatching the season on its own, I have to make amends in some spots.
The general impression when you watch FF on its own, without the better stuff still fresh in mind and with something to do during the dull parts, is that of good background noise.
It takes many steps backwards. The turtles are suddenly less competent at fighting where it's convenient, their personalities are more one dimensional depending on the plot and they're kinda shitty to each other for no reason. They really suffer from that serial effect where the reset button is hit as soon as the credits roll. They used to go out to murder the Shredder knowing they might die and now it's "Today Mikey really wants a new video game and next episode we're going to a fancy party with the kid dressed in the dumbest suits ever and a silly happens :)"
Splinter also gets sidetracked a lot and he's more there to occasionally call the turtles whippersnappers but again, there isn't much of a reason for him to step in anymore.
And this brings me to the villains. I feel like the turtles only work as well as their villains. They work when they're getting into a fight with a local street gang, or trying to kick an alien empire out of the planet before everyone dies. They work when the Shredder actually does something meaningful and generally speaking are going against someone actually dangerous.
The first five seasons had Shredder, the Foot, Hun, the Triceratons and Bishop. FF has an annoying wrestler whose main priority is property damage, a gang of netrunners who I wish got up to more interesting things than scalping and quoting the Matrix, literal evil twins from the tv trope literal evil twins, and the idiots in charge.
The idiots in charge are of course beloved uncle Darius and Sh'Okanabo.
These two really are something. Darius is essentially that guy from the first Iron Man movie. He's the acting CEO because the owner is a literal child. He smiles and preaches big keeping up the facade of benevolent company of the shiny Earth utopia but he has a dark secret which is that he's making guns and a mecha suit for himself and Cody takes several episodes to realize this for some reason.
You'd think Darius would stop being a threat the moment his dark deeds are uncovered since his whole thing is "evil capitalist guy is evil". But no, he's gonna go higher, he's going to ally with Shittibobo because he needs new genetically modified minions he can badmouth while fucking around all day in his sewers loft and we don't even get the payoff of Darius realizing that he's being fucked over by an alien during the Day of Awakening.
Plus because of how afraid FF is to explore anything heavier than Mikey insisting they go out to achieve explosive diarrhea from questionable junk food, even the fact that Darius is an abusive father figure for Cody has no real importance because Cody is only allowed to look sad on screen for five seconds. Remove Darius and the overall season arc remains the same.
What about the other guy? Well, Sushibooboo is the supposed big bad of the season. He's an alien who wants to kill life on Earth to steal resources. He's something beloved President Bishop goes out of his way to personally murder. But the only thing he achieves is to confirm that he's just offensively stupid.
Sh'Okanabo is supposedly an alien boogeyman who's so evil he just can't be real, right? Unfortunately, he's the literal cause of his own demise.
Since the turtles are more than content with babysitting Cody and going around complaining about historical accuracies like that one Futurama episode, they don't know who Sh'Okanabo is and after talking to Bishop they don't care to find out. Great. This means he can operate in the dark, grow his eggs and prepare to kill everyone, right? No way. In pure Sasalele style, he goes out of his way to attack the turtles, tell them what he’s up to and scare them enough to start to actively prepare to fight him.
And on top of that he wastes time to build a time machine because somehow Shredder had to return for one episode which in turn almost fucks up his plan entirely since his ship almost explodes.
So I still don't like FF because of the way the writing plummeted. A lot of stuff happens because it's convenient and often falls back into exquisitely 90s/2000s tropes (see: the obviously evil guy gets away with evil deeds because the parents/cops/people with power are blind and children are stupid, that one car race episode which is a repeat of the previous car race episode from earlier in the show, a female character who's only there to be a love interest and is allowed to be smart and cute because Cody likes them smart and cute, just to name a few). The turtles get dumber depending on the episode and there are some attempts at comedy like Starlee's shitty family that give out levels of second hand embarrassment not seen since Star Trek TNG.
But I don't hate this season entirely either. FF is just very mid and it makes me think that it could have worked as a standalone show for a while because you can watch it more or less. I'm just this isn't what we got in place of the actual show because it wouldn’t have lasted.
Still I did enjoy some things:
Torbin Zixx is fun. He has some interesting tricks, even though 60% of them only work because the turtles are written especially stupid in his episodes. Plus he steals Bishop's space shuttle which is glorious
I ended up liking Sterling a little towards the end. I still feel like his humor is a sanitized version of Baxter's but I like that he collects clips of the turtles getting hurt to watch to calm down and that he's actually always ready to throw hands
President Bishop is so stupid, yet brilliant (and I'm going to talk about him in a separate post because the worldbuilding is really something and I have OPINIONS)
Raph commenting that power armors are so last season while fighting Darius made me chuckle even though I won't tolerate this supersuit slander

Hey Nessa do you ever think about Aladarius' time in the coven. Like Alador hooking the emperor up with their tech and Darius and him have to interact because he has to deal with the fucking abomatons. do you ever think about that. Will you think about that
You know that one No children animatic with Odalia and Alador? Because honest to god, I had not think about that at all before, but that did make me wonder if they had ever crossed paths at the castle because of that.
Logically it kinda feels like someone else should be in charge of dealing with all the details of acquiring any tech they could possibly be getting from Blight Industries (though I feel like it was mostly the abomatons until the end there, but we can ignore that, shhhh), and if everyone was dealing with it in a practical way, it would probably be Odalia with, I don't know, Kikimora or something like that.
However, Odalia seems to be intent on taking Alador along for those things, probably a matter of image and all of that, and I definitely think Belos is enough of a petty bitch, and has that hidden glee at making the previous Golden Guard's mentee miserable whenever he has the chance, to be like "oh, Darius thinks abomination tech is tacky and tasteless? Well, do I have news for him about who will be dealing with the negotiations".
Now, Odalia probably wouldn't be interested in trying to get ahead through Darius due to whatever complicated history they have, so this could make for an scenario in which she's busy trying to suck it up to someone powerful around there while Alador and Darius are left to awkwardly talk about the whole transaction.
It would be... messy.
Obviously they're not going to be talking about whatever happened between them nor openly showing displeasure at each other in the middle of the castle, but I feel like there would be a lot of passive agressivity there. And a lot of both feeling uncomfortable. Alador is Alador and he would be looking somewhere else both because he gets distracted and because this whole thing is awkward, and Darius didn't even want him to look directly at him or anything, but now it feels to him kinda like "oh, am I not good enough for you to even look at me? Is that it?".
They're not saying any of that, but you could cut the tension with a knife.

I think it would be funny if they gave no real warnings to the BATTs but the Marlet and Golden guard teamed up and took out Belos. Like Raine has been careful this whole time to be subtle and so has Darius and everyone they work with in the rebellion and then they just get a call in the middle of the night that half the castle has been level and Belos is dead.
Like Darius just gets a call about the attack and they’re like the emperor’s dead and no one can find the golden guard or the Marlet who was scheduled to be brought before him. And Darius is on one hand relieved that Jasper probably got away but also the emperor’s dead and that’s probably put a huge target on Jasper’s back.
Raine just hearing about it on the news because they’re not a coven head yet. And suddenly the Marlet not responding to any of their calls makes more sense since he had obviously been captured by the golden guard but now the government is in shambles and no one is ready for the after math.
I highly doubt there’s any official line of succession so the emperor’s coven might just start ripping itself apart but Also I think a lot of people would think the emperor’s right hand man should probably take charge except they can’t find the golden guard.
Will also probably wouldn’t like to in charge anyway.
I would actually say in runaway au he's not actually the Martlet; his main goal as the Martlet was to free hunter but... Now his goal is to just protect Hunter and keep him away from danger. He doesn't need a secret identity. I think he probably DOES help the rebellion sometimes or independently undermine the emperor's covens power or rescue some wild witches but-- primarily he is trying to stay under the radar. Provide hunter the best possible childhood he can while on the run.
In eventually I really had Raine engage much more openly with the rebellion earlier in the timeline because jasper becoming the Martlet means HE is much more openly and violently rebelling. Its kind of moved the timeline up for certain parties as the seriousness of the situation is realized earlier.
In runaway... He's not openly rebelling so much. He's under the radar. And with will in the picture he's doing his job, which means we have ten more years of an adult golden guard in charge.
Oh, Lilith would certainly know him then. Bet she doesn't like him either.
I think this actually leads to a much stricter government. Belos has wanted persons to hunt, he has golden guard who can exert his will more firmly and farther. And probably a Belos thinking cutting breaks is a mistake. He needs to be stricter. So I think perhaps we have a big increase in fascism in the boiling isles. Open rebellion like the batts is probably a LOT riskier. So what IS Raine up to, hm...

Probabilities that your loved ones will be killed.
Doing calculations, I realize that it is quite low. By this I mean that he is someone with power, but hates "taking charge" of annoying people. He prefers to simply make sure that you are not going to leave him and that there is always someone who is protecting you (Like his brother or a trusted friend (Like Swain)).
A solid 40%, it will only increase if your family members are against trifarix or Noxus directly.
First impressions
You both met either because you were important in the empire thanks to a specific topic (Magic, intelligence, anything), and little by little you begin to "cross paths with him casually" to places where you go [Of course he didn't memorize your route at all ]
Fall in love
Honestly, he doesn't even know how or when he started, but he feels it. And he partially hates him, but over time he adapts and learns to love him, almost as if he were already starting to be part of his life.
First murder or Yandere act
If we assume that he killed someone for you, then we can say that he was someone who firmly opposed Darius directly. By this I mean that this person has to explicitly say or reference that he does not want you around Darius or as a friend.
Beginning of "Yanderism"
Jealousy begins to escalate. What he previously faced with shaking his head and saying "I'll get over it" started to literally irritate him throughout the day and even put him in a bad mood [Something that Swain clarified many times that he saw it that way].
Relationship or kidnapping
Relationship, because I doubt he will resort to kidnapping. The relationship will be hailed by many people, who will come to have a lot of respect for you, since, of course, it was General Darius we are talking about. And yes, that includes if he forces you to be with him.
Although, to clarify, if for X reason you are not from Noxus or plan to leave Noxus, then he will kidnap you: and this time he will emphasize it to you until you 'get it'.
Coexistence
Quite strange. If you are someone who is friendly and loving, then it will be digestible. He may even "open up a little" to openly show that he loves you.
But, if it's kidnapping [Or if he forces you to be his partner]… it's complex, very, very complex.
If you are too loud he ignores you, but if you don't speak he will be the one to insist and talk to you.
Marriage and family
I don't think it's very likely, I mean, we're talking about someone who lives constantly focused on what happens to Noxus and his soldiers or people, so I doubt he can make space for both of them to have a marriage. But, if it happens, then it would be full, but FULL of people.
↘If possible, children?
Sooner or later it will happen. I mean, at least one, and I doubt he wants you to have much contact with his daughter.
Speaking of his daughter, I don't think they talk much… this will mainly be because Darius is a protective Yandere, so he will seek at all costs to prevent you from harm. That includes both his family and yours.

Reasons to be a Yandere:
-He has had a shitty life, more than once the few people he cared about were hurt, so if he falls in love again, he will have a severe problem with trusting others.
-Speaking of his loved ones, his former girlfriend and mother of his only daughter died for opposing Noxus, because he raised his daughter with the idea that the empire always comes first, so, What if it happens again? What will happen if you end up dead because someone thinks he is becoming weak because of you?
-He lives practically stressed, between all the people, the wars, the planning, Le Blanc, internal problems of Noxus, hell, it is quite difficult for him to be able to take the time to dedicate himself to his mental health.
-I could consider that his brother will also influence this: if Draven decides to screw him with "not letting you go" either because you are someone who really appreciates Darius as a friend or someone to trust and someone who can provide support, al At least once or twice Draven is going to try to insist that the two of them stay together.

.
┑( ̄▽ ̄)┍┑( ̄▽ ̄)┍┑( ̄▽ ̄)┍
Extra data:
-I highly doubt that he will get the information directly: some third person will get involved to obtain the information he wants.
-There are going to be a little problems at first: it is difficult for him to express his emotions, but in the long run [And if you accept it] he will slowly start to act more like your partner.
-I wouldn't spend so much time with you, but most likely he will give you several gifts or, if he is in good love, he will tell you how much he loves you (In his own way, of course)
-You will talk a lot with Draven, not because he is a nosy, it is because he understands what you are going through and prefers to help you so that you "get used" to being with Darius faster.

BENTON, LA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today that it had discovered terrifying extremist reading material in a raid of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson's Louisiana home.
"We were very troubled by what we found during our totally legal raid," said FBI Special Agent Curt Schampers. "When our tactical team breached the door of the home, one of our lead agents called our attention to a piece of reading material on the living room coffee table. The reading material appeared to be a thick, leather-bound book that had pages with gold-gilded edges. Clearly some type of radical, religious text. This type of book is normally only found in the homes of truly dangerous individuals."
Eyewitnesses reported seeing FBI agents removing the book from the home in a sealed plastic bag for further investigation. "You could see the fear in their eyes," said Johnson's neighbor Darius Anderson. "I heard them talking to each other and saying they knew people who read that book were radical, unhinged fanatics who believe crazy things and want to take over the world. To think Mike Johnson is a part of something like that…it's pretty scary."
When asked to comment on what impact this discovery may have on Johnson's ability to serve effectively as Speaker of the House, Special Agent Schampers had only this to say: "This country would look a lot different if the kind of people who read that book were in charge of things."
At publishing time, the FBI refused to comment on horrifying reports that framed passages of religious texts were found hanging on the walls of the home.

Solar Courts
*there is a reason a lot of things have greek influences but none of the courts are greek but it's not important. But just know all the courts have something a little ancient Greek about them but none of them are greek inspired/coded
*Also personally dislike the racial/cultural hegemony in the courts so the HLs race/culture isn't what the whole court looks like
Dawn
In Dawn, Thesan is the title of the Dawnbringer.
During the war, Dawn was ruled by Thesan Ishir but his decision to side with Hybern was so unpopular that it turned the people from the royal family.
Their political power was stripped and after an attempt to retake the throne, Ishir's son, Thesan Arjun, was "confined" to the Taj Vihaan, the lake palace. In reality, Arjun shut himself away from the world, hopefully his citizens would suffer without him performing his HL duties and performing Rites.
In the years since, the capital of Dawn, once Eos, was renamed to Lucina Pygrus. And despite their weaker magic, the people of Dawn have learnt to compensate by combining magic and technology.
The current Thesan, Rohan, didn't share his father's views and is inspired by how his people have chosen a new way of life, he does his ceremonial duties as HL but otherwise is only a figurehead.
Day
Little is known about the succession process in Day as none of the Kings or Lords have been related to each other. Nor do they rule the Day Court in the way others do.
From the outside, it seems the only duty of the Lord of Day is to be chief custodian of the Library.
During the War, Darius the Elder held the title and advised strongly against aligning with Hybern. He was written off by most as an overly religious and meek man.
Eventually, Darius was called by Amarantha and could not refuse. A year after his death, Helion was publicly celebrated as successor and Lord of Day.
To any outsider, Darius and Helion could not be any more different but the people of Day keep to their own way.
Night
The War came at the end of King Elgar's reign when the Night Court had finally won it's civil war against the Illyrians.
For this reason, Prince Aeron had no intention to fight for the humans, and in order to avoid risking Jurian heading north, exiled all humans from Night - killing those that did not leave.
Much of his reign was spent between being Amarantha's right hand and solidifying the Illyrians place in the Night Court - which made him unpopular among his nobility who saw them as a lesser species.
To keep the CoN in check, Aeron ordered his brother Keir to take charge of the navy - having Keir marry into House Veritas whose seat was the small island that sat directly opposite the Hewn City.
Later, Aeron manipulated the situation with Dusk Court in order to provoke Amarantha into sanctioning a war.
She did and wiped the ruling House of Dusk from the face of the earth. Aeron was awarded the territory and gave the Sunset Steppes to the Illyrians before taking Velaris for himself.
The increase in prestige, land and power meant his nobles could say or do nothing when Aeron fathered a half Illyrian son, Rhysand.
To solidify his rule over both territories, Aeron raised his son to govern both cities as well as had him trained in an Illyrian war camp
[I drew the map by hand then scanned it so it's clearer]
Tumblr media
Day looks very empty but the capital is huge and the surrounding land is very lush and fertile. They make a lot of wine
Lucina Pygrus is also a huge city. But it's more spread out along the coast
Edit: also Taj Vihaan

Now, when it comes to Hunter’s parental figure, I love the idea of Dadrius as much as anyone else. I also love Mama Eda, Raven Mom Lilith, Politely Confused Stepdad Alador, Exasperated Parental Unit Raine, and of course, Mamì Camila.
So like….why can’t we have them all?
No, I’m not talking about some weird mega-ship. I’m talking the most chaotic coparenting anyone’s ever seen. Hunter went from no parents to too many parents. And as to what that looks like…
- Post-DOU, once everything worked out and all the families were reunited, there were at least a few sets of custody battles. Alador and Odalia had a huge, drawn-out fight involving multiple sets of lawyers from both the Human and Demon Realms, Eda and Camila went through a very awkward phase of deciding where Luz would live (they settled on sharing a house with a door installed to the human realm so Vee could come and go as she pleased) and Amber’s aunt and uncle appeared out of the woodworks briefly to cause issues for Raine*. However, the biggest argument ended up being over Hunter. After a lot of bickering, some name-calling, and one impromptu sparring match, they settled on a split custody schedule where Hunter would go back and forth between Alador and Darius’s apartment and the Owl House with Eda, Raine and Camila (Lilith gets every other weekend). Hunter was incredibly confused as to what all the fuss was about.
- Hunter wasn’t sure who exactly he was supposed to call Mom and Dad at first. In fact, he was actually really nervous about it. Of course, when he came clean about it, everyone was incredibly supportive. One of the few things all of the adults actually agreed on was that they’d love him no matter what. Eventually, he settled on calling Camila ‘Mom’ or ‘Mamí’ (Luz taught him some Spanish) and Darius various versions of ‘Dad’. Eda and Raine he addresses by their first names (though he had to be talked out of calling them ‘Ms’ or ‘Mx’ Clawthorne-Whispers in the beginning) and he eventually started calling Lilith ‘Auntie’ like Luz and King. He insists on calling Alador ‘Stepfather’. No one can convince him otherwise.
-Camila is the BIGGEST soccer mom when it comes to her babies having sports games (though she isn’t exactly the biggest fan of the Gland Prix- racing is just such a dangerous sport even when it’s not a hundred feet in the air). Hunter has a whole cheering section at his flyer derby games, and Camila is always the loudest. She and Eda also always help each other put on Emerald Entrails facepaint.
- The parents have unspoken designations for who helps Hunter with what. Darius is the one to take him shopping and help him with his clothes and possessions. Camila is there for friendship drama and girl troubles (cough cough, Captain, cough). Raine takes him to therapy and sometimes sits through it with him, Eda is in charge of checking on him when he has nightmares, and Alador and Lilith tag-team homework duties. Lilith has also made it a personal goal to make sure Hunter doesn’t grow up to be like her.
- Hunter has SO MANY STEP/ADOPTED SIBLINGS. So, so many. Siblings list includes
Amity (stepsister)
The twins (stepsiblings)
Gus (unofficial little brother)
Luz (adopted sister)
King (adopted step(?)brother)
Vee (adopted stepsister...half sister? I dunno?)
The baby BATTs- Derwin, Amber and Katya- (yeah no I’m done doing this)
Steve (Steve doesn’t belong to any of the parents, Steve’s just everyone’s big brother)
Hunter has mastered the art of being a big brother. Being a little brother, on the other hand? That’s new, and he’s not really sure how to feel about it. Steve and the older two BATTs are very persistent, however, and he grows to like it- especially the part where they gang up on the younger ones a bit. Luz, Amber, King, Amity and Vee don’t like that part as much (they’re still grumpy about the last family pillow war).
- Hunter goes through his teen rebel stage a bit late. Glasses of apple blood are often shared between parents over the exasperated exchanging of stories about loud music, ripped clothes and dyed hair. No one will admit to having taken him to get his ears pierced, though they all have their suspicions (and they’re so busy shooting looks in Eda’s direction that they don’t notice how red her spouse’s ears have turned).
- Gwendolyn and Dell ADORE their scraggly teenage grandson. Gwendolyn often fusses over him, asking if he’s eating enough or tutting over the bags under his eyes. Dell is thrilled when Hunter expresses an interest in learning about Palismen and his own origins, and immediately offered to take him with him on his trips into the Palistrom groves. They now go every Friday night together.
In conclusion...I dunno, found families make the brain go brrrrrr.
*Amber, Katya and Derwin are Raine’s kids and I won’t be taking criticism. Also, I’ve made up a lot of head canons about Amber and that’s one of them. It’s not super important.

so interesting that Mustang-Bradley-Pride fight because Bradley seems overworked and like hes okay with standing still for a while until Pride comes down the chimney and Mustang sets his sights on him. he hadnt let go of Hawkeye when Bradley came into the room, he looks at Pride, asks Darius to take care of her, the intent is clear, we zoom in on Bradley's face, rare show of panic on his face for a split second then he charges at Mustang. if not for the weird Bradley zoom in i would read it as him not wanting to attack Mustang with Hawkeye in his arms, waiting for him to get into position first as either a show of sportsmanship and ego or his cryptic fondness towards humans extending to his temporary secretary to some form that isnt tangible enough to mean anything but also just strong enough to further the grayness of his character, but the zoom of panic complicates things. see, Pride's limbs look awful lot like sharp and quick claws of Lust
