Love In Different Shapes - Various HSR Boys x GN! Reader

★ Summary: Your lover loves to show that they love you, however some of their methods to do so, aren't something you'd expect - i.e HSR Boys and their love languages (but it's not your typical love language)

☆ Characters Included (Separate): Dan Heng, Jing Yuan, Blade, Welt, Luka, Sampo, Gepard, Loucha + bonus character

★ Extra: Just had random thoughts about HSR characters love language and decided to write about what theirs is in my opinion - just not your typical ones. // Not proof read - we die like Himeko // There's a HSR Girl version as well! Right here.

Dan Heng shows his love unintentionally by staring at you. Just full on staring. I mean, I'm sure most of us agree that Dan Heng is a man of few words, but I feel like you could be getting up to get water and you'll come back to Dan Heng staring at you. You might think 'oh, he wants me back in bed'

no.

He's just staring very lovingly at you, as creepy as it is. He wants to make sure he sees you. He can't explain why it gives him comfort to just look at you or why he decides to show that he cares about you this way. But he does! It's his way of saying he cares, and although not many may see it as him showing his love to you. Both you and him know what it means when he decides to look at you for more then 5 minutes without talking.

Somehow, Jing Yuans love language consists of making sure you aren't able to do your work. Somehow his love language is doing everything in his power to get you to pay attention to him.

You know those videos of cats knocking over a cup? That's him, and all he wants is your attention. He loves seeing what ways make you look at him, even for a split second. Would it be a surprise kiss? Softly rubbing your arm up and down? Knocking over an expensive vase??

He wants to find everyway to ensure you look at him with those pretty eyes, and as confusing as this love language may be to others. He truly does just enjoy messing with you.

Biting. I will not elaborate (Well I am but-)

Blade just bites you. Not harshly, just nibbles. You could just be doing some work, and your neck or shoulder are exposed, he'd just come up to you and just.

Nom.

You have so many bite makes because of him, but he doesn't care. He's at work often and as much as I'm sure he loves kissing you. He loves biting you playfully just as much. The amount of bite marks around your body that keeps multiplying is just a show of his love to you.

Welt shows his love by drawing you. He loves sketching you doing whatever and showing you. He enjoys looking at your face and capturing every detail with a stroke of a pencil. He probably has a sketch book dedicated to drawings of you, but most are ripped out as you stick it on your wall.

If you offered to model for Welt he'd be more then happy and ensures to be extra careful - not like he wasn't before but he wants to capture every single detail there is that he sees. And honestly? If you were to draw your own drawing of him then he'd be so happy. It's stuck on his wall, it's his wallpaper and it'll even by his profile picture for awhile.

Luka shows off. He's one of the guys that's like

"This is for you babe!"

But he fails, miserably even. He's usual so good at showing off, but when he tries to show off to you to show you how much he absolutely adores you he fails.

Every.

Single.

T i m e.

It's okay though, you get the gesture. You understand what he's trying to do, even after the countless fails. He wants to be successful even once as he feels if he continues failing you won't love him anymore.

You do though, you understand. And honestly? It's kinda cute how hard he tries trying to score a basket just to show you he loves you.

Reverse scamming (credits to my friend for this idea :D)

Sampo loves scamming others, but you? You're no exception sadly. On the other hand, how he scams you isn't what you'd think. He'd maybe scam you until getting what YOU want. Now what HE wants. Sometimes he may even scam you to get just a simple kiss or a hug.

You try to tell him if he wants a kiss or a hug he can just ask, but he finds it more fun this way. And you may even try to convince him to stop "scamming" you into getting the things you want, but he also refuses.

We all know Gepard is trying to garden and failing (I think) right? So what does everyone think of getting a half wilted flower from this man :D

He tries I swear, he just cannot do it correctly. You may even just get a tomato as an anniversary gift as he just couldn't take care of the flowers he was trying to grow for you. Bro may be more upset with being unable to grow you the best flower then he is about not catching Sampo.

He keeps trying and failing but, he still gives it to you in hopes you'll accept it! You will right? Even if he's given you a potato that's about to go bad?

Loucha can and will pat your head to show how much he loves you. As a merchant and a doctor, he doesn't necessarily have the time to sit down and relax, and even so. He doesn't seem like the type to want to. However he doesn't want his partner to feel neglected either, so to sure that he does love you so you don't forget. He pats your head with a small smile.

It doesn't even matter if your taller then him, he'll find a way to pat your head, whether it be to punch you in the stomach so you can bend over, pull you down by your collar or even just climbing onto his coffin to just pat your head a few times. He will pat that head of yours so you're reminded he still loves you despite his schedule.

Dr Ratio definitely info dumps to show his love. I don't even know much about this man yet but I know for a fact that he'd be casually talking about the history of something or in general just anything he knows whilst you two are eating.

He'd say something that's so jaw-dropping and continue eating and I love him for that. He seems sweet honestly, and if you want to info dump about anything you like? He listens with such intent, asks questions and remembers every word. I love him so much (I know he isn't out yet but-)

Hehehe. I spent a good bit rambling with my friend about certain HSR characters "unusual" love language and decided to write one! It's not proof read as most of the time, my rambles aren't proof read. But as always, if I messed some spelling or grammar up. Inform me and I'll fix it :D

Thinkin bout Sampo Koski rn as like. His character n what we get of him in honkai star rail and he fucking. He confuses me like. There has to be So Much more to him like

The general vibes of him and especially how other characters treat him is that of comic relief, a punching bag, a goof, just a slick conman causing trouble. It's genuinely difficult NOT to insult him n treat him badly with dialogue options and any time he's even mentioned March 7th hisses at him. He's literally a cryptid in belobog. He's a joke.

But. But. There's his light cone. It makes me insane. It contradicts all of that.

In it he's competent. He's badass. He's omnipotent. He's able to somehow know a sniper from however far away is locked on him and address them specifically.

And even like... in the entire plot of jarilo-vi he's spoken of like he's not much. He's a 4 star character. But he's practically as present as bronya and seele and Gepard and his involvement in the story is ASTRONOMICAL. He has a part in every major event. He's the one who drags the Trailblazers and bronya into the Underworld. He's the one who takes you to svarog, to the overworld again. He gets Natasha and saves you from svarog. He's the first character you ever meet on jarilo.

And he seems to just vanish before you confront cocolia. But no. Sampo is the one who has the last word and wraps up the entire mission on jarilo-vi. He fucking breaks the forth wall. Jarilo-vi both begins and ends with Sampo.

He calls himself shadowy comic relief yet he seemingly orchestrated everything. What is he. What the fuck is he doing. What else is up with him and when will we get more of him. I want to bite into him and tear him apart.

this is the time between when the hiatus started until dan's coming out video Basically I'm Gay (and some may argue continued after that as well, just in a different way) coming off of ii, joint content regularly--joint life essentially--to the New Era where phil would specifically Not talk about dan in videos. it was noticable because they would always talk about each other, particularly in one-off moments, so it was strange, from an audience perspective, to almost be pretending dan didn't exist.

once BIG happened, we understood. but dan did 'appear' more after that during 2019. 2020 though, there's several videos that feel like they're specifically missing dan in them. phil baking his birthday cake alone, a tour of my plants (back on my old blog i have a live reaction to this video; it's coated in dan Energy cause he's doing the camerawork, but you never hear him), catching a pigeon, to name a few. obviously, not every video needs to be joint content, but if dan wasn't taking his break, if he wasn't doing his book & dinok, these are the ones you could expect him to have popped into in earlier years.

since then, we slowly saw him returning not only to some videos, but also, phil mentioning him again. the wall only fully came down once the gaming channel came back though. (literally has there been a phil video since where he doesnt mention him at least once, not even to mention how many dan is physically present in)

He misses the time when was reminded to go to bed just before he almost pulled an all-nighter another time. He misses the time when food stood ready on his table in the archives, as he came back from the toilet, remembering he missed lunch once again.

But he had you. He had you to remember him every time. He had.

He had…

He misses the time you sat with him in the archives, idly reading a book on his bed. Your music coming so loud out of your headphones, he listened with you. Sometimes the sweet melody of a duet of the violin and the piano was to be heard, sometimes the soft tunes of an OST of the game you started recently, sometimes the hard bass of some underground band, only few people in the galaxy heard about when asked.

Dan Heng didn’t even have to look in the direction of his bed, he knew you were there. And now, every time he turns around to stand up, he is surprised to not see you there. Not sitting in his bed, frowning at the book.

He is surprised.

Surprised you’re not there.

Not there to keep him company.

His gaze did not move from the spot you should've been seated, but you're not. And he feels how a stone is resting on his heart, adding more weight to it. Like he doesn't have enough.

His eyes get smaller, now deeply in his thoughts. Would he have a chance to convince you to stay longer on the express? Would he had you longer by his side, if he dared to ask you?

His gaze falls on the wooden glock you gifted him when you came back from one of your trips with March. It remembered you of him, you said. Almost 2 AM. Again, he was on the best way to pull a one-nighter again. And after so long, he feels drained. He lays down on his rather uncomfortable bed and closes his eyes. He rolled over on his left side, then his right, and again on his left side, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Eventually, he falls asleep. And the nightmares start to haunt him again, uglier than ever before.

It started slow, melancholic. You sat on one of the perfectly cleaned couches in the train’s lounge with a book in one hand, the weight of the hardcover resting in your hand. Slow jazz filled the room, coming from the gramophone. The scenery gave off an unfamiliar vibe.

He went in your direction and called out your name, but you didn’t seem to react. Your frowning expression was still fixated on the book in your hand. He stopped in front of you, only for you to disappear after he blinked.

He stepped back, batting his lashes a few more times to realise what just happened. You were gone. Not even the book left behind. He turned around his axis a few times, only to stop to look at you standing beside the stairs up to the engine compartment. Your face was turned away from him, him only seeing your back.

He walked towards you, reaching out to grab your shoulder. As soon as his hand touched you, you collapsed into a mushy matter. You slipped from his grasp yet again.

What was left of you disappeared behind him, brought him to turn around only to watch you materialise into something he couldn't identify. It was a tall, slender figure out of black material. This thing stared at him with its white eyes for a few seconds before it attacked him.

He winces and opens his eyes. The dark embraces him tightly, only getting interrupted by the dim light of the data bank. It is nothing new for Dan Heng. It should be nothing new for him. But it feels so foreign, so wrong, so distant. You changed him with your embrace when you were lying beside him with a leg and arm draped over him, making him sweat underneath the blanket like hell. But he didn’t complain. He never complained around you. Now it’s cold and even the small mattress feels too big now.

He could've been lying with you longer in bed.

He could've been a little longer with you a little longer under the blanket, sweating his ass off.

But he's not.

He's not with you any longer.

You’re not with him anymore.

Alone the thought that the only person who voluntarily came to him every single time without fail is now gone chokes him. The first person in his current reincarnation who truly loved him is now gone. It ripped every single bit of oxygen out of his lungs, not letting a little bit of escape.

And he knows, would you have been with him, you would have given him all of your oxygen straight out of your lungs.

Dan Heng should’ve stopped you from leaving the express. Or maybe he should have left with you. But he cannot run after you now. It’s already too late.

𒈔ٍ⃛ㅤ ㅤ lovs monologue. ::

My entry for the personal memories (of the dearly beloved) event from @thexianzhoujade with the prompt viii. “it’s okay if you can’t catch your breath, you can take the oxygen straight out of my own chest.” | atlas: two. Although I used more of the first part of the song as inspiration.

My first time writing angst (especially in english). I have some failed attempts in the past, but I wasn’t happy with them. This time I also tried to put some horror elements in it, altogether it’s not really how I wanted it. Surely it’s not a 100% how I imagined it, but it's on the right path I think.

Did I accidentally posted it before it was done? Yes ✨.

hello! platonic astral express (mostly welt and dan heng) + jing yuan with a teen reader like collei?

they were used as an experiment from a very young young thankfully the crew/jing yuan found and rescued them, they also took them in but they were still traumatized from their time as an experiment,they are chronically ill which makes them weak and are scared of being touched due to their time as an experiment subject

★ A/N: Colleis backstory makes me so sad :(( I love her sm. Characters here are just Dan Heng, Welt and Jing Yuan

★ Format: Mini Scenarios (Separate)

☆ Warnings: Implied torture + human experiments on reader // Scar/injuries mentions

★ Extra: Reader is shorter then characters // Reader is with the Express

Dan Heng is very careful around you, whether or not he sees himself as threatening he doesn't know if YOU'D see him as threatening. He could quickly tell how untrustworthy you were when the Express found you. And based on the scars scattered around your body, some clearly new as it seems they were inflicted on you recently and how you held up a make shift dagger towards them, you seem to have a very good reason not to trust them.

It takes some time but eventually Himeko and Welt do manage to gain your trust and let you on board so they can give you a better life then what you had experienced.

Dan Heng makes sure to always be gentle with you and helps you when you need help, he himself isn't much of a touchy person himself but he still ensures to steer clear from any touches, even the lighter ones.

He allows you in the databanks, especially when you have nightmares. He has them himself, although he isn't completely sure about what the nightmare is about, he'll never pry. Only comfort you.

He's also a bit more hesitant to show his dragon form, he doesn't want to potentially scare you but if there comes a time where he for any reason NEEDS to get into that form, he'll inform you and if you want he'll ask March or the Trailblazer to bring you away.

Overall: Dan Heng is careful around you, making sure that whatever he does doesn't trigger you in anyway - he makes sure he doesn't touch you, even slightly and comforts you if you ever have nightmares. He thinks a lot of his actions through just encase it may affect you negatively.

Welt was the first to attempt to gain your trust, his fatherly instincts kicked in as soon as he saw you, he could tell despite the face you put up to try and scare the others behind that was a scared child.

So he was patient with you, took the time to gain your trust, carefully tended to your injuries when you allowed him and as soon as you were comfortable to be on the express. He became your father, whether or not there was any paperwork done or not, you have eventually seen him as your father.

Due to his age (*cough cough* grandpa *cough cough*) he's very smart, so he takes the time to teach you, if you don't understand he'll go over it again and make sure he does it in a way that you'll understand.

He can tell that most of your childhood seems to be lost. So he attempts to make you smile, experience a good childhood you seemed to have missed.

He can also tell that your chronically ill, you're more weaker then others so he offers to get you a cane, something that can provide aid for you so it's hopefully more bearable for you, and if you ever get to weak for even that? He's more then happy to carry you, he'll always ask first as he does know you're a bit more hesitant on being held or touched in general.

If you ever have nightmares he'll make you some tea and listen to you about what it was, even if you decided to not tell him he'll keep you company.

Overall: Welt is a very patient man, who became your unofficial father, knowing that your childhood was seemingly mostly lost he tries to make up for it and he also teaches you the basics of everything. He offers a cane to hopefully help you with your more weak body.

When Jing Yuan first met you, he knew something was wrong. Whether or not you looked better then how you looked before meeting the Express, he's still a General and can catch a lot of things. He won't pry at all but when you're not around will ask about it. He's worried, a child so young and it seems like you've been hurt more then you've smiled?

He doesn't wish to pry, he knows it's none of his business but the fact he knows something bad happened to you and likely at a young age doesn't please him one bit.

Just like Welt, he's patient with you. He's also very careful around you. One time when he was supervising you he happened to summon Lightning Lord as some enemies tried to ambush you and this seemed to send you into a panic, Jing Yuan quickly made sure the enemies were gone before checking on you, being careful not to touch you but still finding a way to comfort you.

Whether or not he manages to calm you down is up to you, however you'll end up with a blanket wrapped around you in the comforts of his office. He'll give you various of games you can play, books or whatever. If you want to try a new hobby he'll get someone to get anything needed for it.

Overall: I think he's similar to Welt however he does sometimes scare you unintentionally. Whether it be due to having to summon Lighting Lord or even hearing him talk in his more "General" voice, he does feel bad though. He doesn't mean to scare you and if you're around he does try not to do either.

Sorry if this take a while to do wrjggdvg. This was slightly difficult to write as I wasn't too sure what direction to take but hopefully this is okay!
