I think the person my friends been crushing on for like three years is me but shes really fragile and weve gotten a lot closer recently but i dont really want her to tell me cuz i dont want to have to turn her down, i know how bad it would be for her self-esteem and awkward for our whole friendship group.

oh dear :( im sorry i saw this earlier but i didn’t know how to word my response but i think you just need to let her down and ensure that it’s a friendship (so this is bad but friendzone her) as gently as possible and make sure you don’t lead her on. it’s also important that you don’t overthink her actions because she might just be super close to you and she thinks she’s being platonic but you might take in the wrong way so you don’t wanna do that either bc then it just becomes awkward and you overthink her actions (unless it’s been super obvious of course i dont know the nature of the interactions but just to keep that in mind). i think the most important thing is to ensure that if she does confess to you make sure u articulate ur feelings properly but ensure that this doesnt ruin your friendship or whatnot because its scary to confess and if she does she knows what she’s risking. i think it’s just important to validate her feelings and just hopefully she’ll understand and see if she wants to continue being your friend or if needs some space and respect her for that, feelings are difficult but as long as she’s being listened to and both sides are being respected and u tell her that this isn’t because of her like she’s great but u just dont feel the same way, that’s all you can do and just let fate do the rest.

Zaza, i have a crush on one of my internet friends but shes aro/ace so obviously im not gonna say anything to her bc 1) i dont wanna ruin our friendship and 2) it'd definitely make her uncomfortable. But we're close friends and call each other petnames and stuff; the other day one of our mutual friends (with whom we are in a group chat) pmed me to ask if i had crush on her and i confirmed but she didnt reply and now im afraid shell tell. i hope the venting helped and i rly hope your mutual friend keeps your secret. as, it’s not her info to share. sadly tho, some ppl are crummy at friendshipping and if you think her blabbing is a likely possibility- you might want to beat her to the punch. as once you tell someone a secret- it’s no longer a secret. 

so confessing to your crush and letting her kno tht, first and foremost you respect her orientations, however; you’ve developed these feelings (which there’s nothing wrong with). then explain tht because you understand her, you’re working to squash this crush, but these things take time.
