I aboslutely grew to have this weird fascination for track & field, and the fact that you were also a part of the same sport made practice just a little bit more enjoyable.

When we had track meets, you would always wear contacts that day, and that's when I grew to love the color blue.

I do love your glasses and the way its frame is an unsual but fitting color. However, I prefer to have a clear view of your eyes.

You're inceredibly hilarious, and your looks are quite pleasing to the eye in my opinion. You're honest and know when to admit your mistakes, and you also accept the scolding that you get from the teacher every time you get yelled at for talking too much.

Day 23 of the #chronicillnessandme challenge! 😸💖✨Today’s prompt is #currentfeelings 😶 Most of us with chronic illness can’t talk about our emotions without including our illness, and this is true for me. I also can’t talk about my emotions without including my Borderline personality disorder and DBT. The image I shared today is a worksheet from DBT that helps identify feelings, and I needed to use it in order to figure out how I am currently feeling! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Living with BPD, a common symptom is the inability to identify emotions, because they are so overwhelming that you may shut them out, or be completely consumed by them. I am commonly so affected by my intense emotions that even positive emotions feel incredibly painful. I believe that my BPD is aggravated by my chronic illness. Physical vulnerabilities like chronic pain, sensory overload, fatigue, and allergic reactions all lower my ability to tolerate my emotions. The emotions I identified currently are those I highlighted or wrote in the center. So many! You might notice that some are opposites of one another, and some are a bit repetitive. That’s how complex humans can be, not just those of us with BPD! I will share with you why I am feeling accomplished: I just finished up my first season singing in Calliope Chorus; proud: I was elected to the Calliope board (!!!); relaxed: I found a massage th erapist who gave me relief from the extra headaches I’ve had since my car accident, frustrated: I can’t do all that I’d like to do while I’m still recovering; nervous/hesitant: I’ll be getting an upright MRI done soon to see if I have CCI (I have many of the symptoms 😥); silly: playing with my kitties 😸💕; determined: I start a round of PT with an EDS specialist on June 7th!!!
