the fact that megatron and optimus are in a relationship completely flies over the terrans' heads; they don't see them enough outside of work/official related contexts for that to have connected for them. breakdown and bumblebee are obvious, though, and they're not too sure what to think of breakdown being in their teachers/family members life. it's not about him being a decepticon its about him being a flake and getting bumblebee taken away from them that one time, and y'know, being a romantic interest of someone who is Adult Family to them.

breakdown gets lots of dubious questioning and squinting, mostly from twitch and thrash. and breakdown's not, like, bad with kids, but its awkward for everybody involved because hey, 'your boyfriend suddenly obtained 5+ kids while you were away' is one hell of a dynamic change to your relationship.
