#tb 🥀One of the final images from the shoot🥀 That time when @crystalleelucas cocooned me in my own process - cocooning the cocooner. "The Obsessor" series. 🖤 This was an incredible experience. Working with Crystal and seeing her beautifully haunting talent transform me into my cocoon series was priceless. The cocooning took about two hours if I remember correctly. I had two panic attacks once my face and neck became more and more wrapped. I just kept thinking that there isn't any quick way out. I calmed myself down by repeating in my head that this was a once of a lifetime experience and have to push through. When I create my miniature artwork, the repetitive process makes me super anxious, but then to be physically cocooned took my anxiety to an entirely different level. A few years back, my dad worked his treasure hunting magic to acquire about 30 spools of wool thread. Ever since then, I had been storing them with anticipation of creating just the right piece. I'm forever grateful that Crystal found inspiration from this collection. Right before this series was shot, I lost my dad. Personally, these photos encapsulate so much emotion, struggle and the suffocation of loss. Thank you Crystal for your incredible creative talents and friendship.
