If the Train gave all the passengers grey jumpsuits before Amelia got involved, and it usually doesn't let you take stuff from the Train home... at what point did it give your stuff back? Did One send a Steward to give your clothes back when you got your Exit? Kez seems to know about the Stewards, but she seemed surprised when it brought gifts. Did it never show up to return Jeremy's stuff? We see him wearing normal clothes in the photo, but that was given to him by Morgan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where does the line fall between what you're allowed to keep and not? Jesse doesn't get to take the Apex harpoon pack with him. Lake gets to keep the clothes and the bank pen bracelet, but the handcuffs don't go through. They stay attached until Lake makes it all the way through, even after both arms are already on the other side. The cuffs only disappear after the door closes. The harpoon pack only falls dramatically after the last trace of the glowing doorway has faded away, even though Jesse was still wearing it when Lake last saw him. It almost lets you bring things up until the last second before snatching it back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The determining factor seems to be if it could be used to prove the Train's existence. Maybe the handcuffs were left behind because they were from the Mirror World, which the Train seems to consider to be under its jurisdiction. It seems to let you keep the clothes on your back, but if the jumpsuits made it though then they could have been used as proof. In that case, would it just spit the passengers out with nothing? The exits seem to work like doorways, so it probably wasn't returning your stuff as you passed through.
Chances are, it lets you keep your outfit within reason. It may be a magical train that kidnaps people and forced them through therapy from hell, but it has STANDARDS! If it looks like something you could find on Earth, then there would be no reason not to let you take it. If its something completely inexplicable like a custom-made harpoon pack, then that has to stay. But some normal looking clothes you stole from an abandoned mall would probably be fair game. It also probably wouldn't let you say, throw a bunch of apples through the open Exit in an attempt to solve world hunger, as amazing as that could be. The Train doesn't care if you starve as a passenger, why would it care if you starve on Earth?
Tumblr media
Random stuff in pockets or backpacks might be up for debate. Tulip probably still had the Donut Holer in her backpack, but someone who ran away for months coming back with a pipe for self-defense doesn't seem out of the ordinary. Nobody knows where she was, for all they know she could have needed it. It was confirmed in an AMA that if Jesse's phone had remained un-smashed, then his photos would have ended up blurry and worthless as evidence. It seems important that the Train keeps itself secret under most circumstances. There are reasons it wasn't willing to let Denizens get their own numbers. If everybody knows about the Train, then they won't want to get on.
But when the hell was One planning to give back their clothes? Did Jeremey not have any need for his stuff because Morgan and Kez took such good care of him? Or did One just say "Yoink! This is mine now!" every time someone brought something on board? At what point in the pre-Amelia process were personal belongings dealt with? How many people lost their keys in the process? How many passengers never got their stuff back?

Wayne doll house: demon children.
Idea: each of the batkids is theorised to have a different origin.
Thing is, there's so many of them. The oldest is actually the youngest in body. It seems to be able to share memories with those who follow. It changes design right before a new bat appears.
The hero in the town over is definitely one of them, but what's it doing over there?? Asking just gets non-answers.
What happened to the ones that the Joker tried to destroy? One - the oldest and smallest - came back, but different, whereas the other - the purple and orange one - came back for a while and then vanished again for good.
None of them seem to age??
The first, smallest, oldest, it seemed to be some sort of circus performer? It gave its acrobatics to the blue one when it arrived, grew clever and defensive. It gave that to the skull headed red one, focused on technology and detective work after the Incident. Then again, and again, and one time even the bat changed along with it, but though the bat returned to normal the little Robin didn't, and now it's just as stabby and creative as it is small and creepy.
It's a good sort of creepy now, after over a decade of beating up bad guys and comforting victims, Gotham has gotten used to it, but outsiders don't much like it.
The justice league have a different opinion.
They know, or at least can observe, that the... Souls? Brains? Programs? Switch around, that it's not memories but persons that bring the new bats to life.
They just don't know where batman gets them. The new one, especially, is very circumspect.
For all this talk of the blood son, all the bats calling it demon child with varying levels of fondness, the way batman doesn't deny the claims...
Thing is the bat doesn't have blood. Everyone's well aware of this by now. Whatever sulpheric black tar he and the bats leak probably-certainly isn't blood, or at least... Not anything with dna.
So... What blood?? If not the bat's, why does it tie the newest mind of Robin to him?
Captain marvel is the first to think of an idea.
A blood child of a demon for a blood ritual for a demon.
Constantine and Zatanna second the notion - it's perfectly possible. Reasonable, even. The bat admitted himself he had no way to procreate the way humans did, nor any interest in doing so. Wanting a legacy was perfectly normal.
Except he already had, what, seven, eight, nine kids? He loved all of them, it was clear, and he'd always seemed happy with them. He'd even sighed over how many he had, had rebuffed the teasing about getting more. The new Robin mind had been a surprise to everyone, and the old one in a new body had been a little salty about it.
So the new theory was that batman hadn't decided to get a new Robin. Maybe the old mind had been ejected unwillingly! It had happened at roughly the same time batman had gotten a new personality - maybe the incidents were related?
But if batman hadn't done the ritual... Who had?
Who would do something like that???
Cultists. Cultists would do something like that. But giving the bat a son unwillingly seemed... A very odd goal, even for that type.
So... Had they messed up? Had they tried to summon the bat with a blood sacrifice ritual, and summoned a demon instead? Had it partially worked? Was the bat susceptible to demon summonings?? Did the summoning damage his own mind/consciousness/soul in some way, and that led to the creation of the new demon child while the bat changed until he'd healed????
How kind of batman to take it in!
Tldr; the league thinks Robin V is a demon born/created through a failed summoning ritual involving blood sacrifice that made batman like puns until he healed. The truth is the canon events of Damian arriving at the manor only for b to get tossed into the time stream, becoming the Robin to nightwing-batman while Tim, who is much less annoyed about it than canon, focuses on getting him back. Lmao.

We're all aware of the common thing in fanfics where Tim uses Bear as a nickname for Bernard, but I feel like we should give Tim a similar nickname.
I suggest Moth, cause his full first name is Timothy, and if you drop the first two letters and the last letter, you're left with "moth," and I think that's really cute.

Cryptid conspiracy theory!
I was watching a cryptid video and realized this.
Flatwoods Monster and Mothman are the same entity.
Both located in West Virginia only a 2 hour drive apart (shorter for flight) Flatwoods W.V. and Point Pleasant W.V.
Both described at tall and dark creatures with glowing red eyes.
“But one doesn’t have wings”
What if mothman had its wings tucked behind it and thus, formed what looked like F.M. Headpiece/frame? Or what if F.M. Frame could stretch out and look like wings?
“But F.M looked more metallic.”
MOLTING!! What if it was a hard shell that is similar to metal and Mothman is the form underneath!?!? Maybe it was a cocoon?
Thus, with not researching anything else or looking over any potential evidence, these two cryptids are the same.
But that’s just a theory….A CRYPTID THEORY!!!
Kthxbye

Into a new day, together
@naffeclipse I cannot begin to tell you how emotional I am over the CS ending - their happiness and chance at healing mean so much to me ;v;
And a small, very rough bonus that I see happening between the first two panels - someone giving Nessie that last little push to accept the affection she feels too guilty to indulge in <3

If reflections are alive, how does it work if you're interacting with something in front of a mirror without one?
I see two possibilities:
If you hold something in front of a mirror, it just kind of floats where the reflection would be holding it. Things move exactly as they would if the reflection was still there, it just looks like you're invisible. Would this work both ways? Could a cracked reflection influence the Prime World without leaving the Mirror World? Clothes would have to be an exception to this. Nothing shows up when Tulip walks by the mirror, and Lake's mirror clothes must have been included under the "people can't jump out of people" rule if they had to make wanted posters.
If you pick something up in front of a mirror, the reflected object doesn't move. It's desynced from its Prime World counterpart like a laggy video game. That would definitely start to cause problems for both worlds. Everywhere you go, anything you interact with would get messed up. Just desyncing one thing could cause a butterfly effect that ripples out of control. Just opening a door for someone would leave the mirror world door closed. Reflections would slowly have to subtly break character more often just to make sure they can still do their job. Slowly but surely, your individual impact on the world would start to paint itself on every reflective surface you see.

Meat Marionette Ramble #6?
I am thinking about Bruce for this au, specifically his appearance but who knows where this ramble will end up lol.
So Bruce ends up pretty tall as an adult methinks, like definitely over 6’, which is canon anyway. However as previously discussed, long-haired boi! Which means his hair, based off of art and such lol, is at least 2½ feet long. That is so much room for his kids to mess with and cover it in barrettes and bows lol
Now he can afford to have long hair due to using a meat marionette for his vigilante work instead of his original body. However this means that he doesn’t have nearly as many scars as canon. But one of the ones he still has is the cut over his eyebrow (headcanon that he got that when he fell down the Well as a kid)
Normally that wouldn’t be much to write about, but when combined with his (and the rest of the batfam’s) more predatory movements, it’s caused a lot of subconscious distress. It’s Gotham after all, everyone has some sort of scars or old injuries, but with the Waynes? Nothing that they can see, not since the patriarch of the family was a child himself.
Which results in a lot of rumors.
