Another Capcom and Pokémon crossover! Featuring Shade Man, from Mega Man 7, and a Crobat! Because vampire characters and bats go so well together.
I wanted to include a Noibat or Noivern (because of Echoed Voice, Hyper Voice, and Boomburst), but I ran out of room. Read that he has a microphone that he practices singing with (poorly) and I immediately thought of the bat Pokémon with their voice related moves. He'd totally also have a Woobat or Swoobat. And probably another Zubat family member.
I'm not much into vampires, but I really like Shade Man's design.

Dude I found like 5 random shinies in PLA all in one day
A Drifblim, Zubat, Drifloon, and Graveler just kind of happened while I was running around looking for items. The Graveler jumped out of an ore deposit.
And I snagged a Ralts out of an outbreak that I was only checking because I was bored.

Afternoon Nap
This year's contribution to Gladion Day is yet another behemoth! ...........Honestly I keep feeling like I have to go bigger and better every year and now I don't know how to do it better next year LOL
I've always loved the idea of Gladion napping with his team, but I had never drawn them doing so for reasons... For Weavile, Crobat and Porygon's movements, I watched their unique sleep animations in Legends Arceus. Lucario's (admittedly static) pose comes from Pokemon Sleep (Knee-Up Sleep style). Silvally... technically we only see him sleep standing up in Refresh/Camp, but I really wanted him lying down with Gladion leaning on him, so I referenced horses on a side sleep position.

honestly i always think that zubat getting a final form that can only be obtained via getting high friendship with it is such an adorable concept when you really think about it. (unhinged ramble below sorry)
like, zubat. a pokemon that was often treated as just a constant pain to get through in caves, which either resorted to people constantly getting rid of them to progress, or to just buy a whole lotta repels and get the whole thing done with. nobody's expecting the lil bat to go far or much less train it to be better, not in it's current state. (or base stats, because yeesh.)
but you GAVE that little bat a chance. you raised it, made it stronger and treated it with fairness and kindness, like any other person should've, and it evolved because of its love, trust and respect for you. that meek zubat that nobody liked is now a gorgeous crobat thats proud of its strength, its grace and its trainer like no other. and that's very beautiful, i think.

more pkmn x danny phantom stuff because i have lost control of my life
also for anyone interested in AU ramblings, please enjoy the literal essay i wrote under the cut lol
THE PREMISE:
AU where pokemon exist in the DP canon. Universes are merged, so Amity Park exists alongside Kanto/Unova/etc in their respective real world locations.
Danny’s parents research/hunt dp-verse ghosts AND ghost pokemon. Their research is focused on the ghosts of once-living creatures, and also identifying the difference between “dead” and “living” ghosts. ex. A Yamask can be born from an egg, which means it never died, but it can also be the spirit of a dead person.
While the Fentons aren’t actively trying to exterminate every ghastly or duskull, they still have some serious prejudices against ghost types, and they DEFINITELY hate dp-verse ghosts as much as in canon.
The portal accident happens normally. Danny was due to get his first pokemon around the start of freshman year, but the accident (and his now spiraling school grades) put it on hold.
Instead, Phantom is exploring the ghost zone one day and passes by a Hisuian Zorua. Danny doesn’t think much of it, but the Zorua follows him home and quickly causes trouble. It seems to have a nasty grudge against humans, playing dangerous pranks against Amity Park’s residents and forcing Danny to send it back into the zone. After several return trips, it settles down and decides that it’s more interested in this not-entirely-living-or-dead kid than getting revenge. After that decision, Zorua quickly becomes Danny’s partner.
Since Zorua are inherently timid creatures and a Hisuian variant would attract a lot of attention (not to mention Jack and Maddie’s possible reaction), Zorua is almost always disguised as something other than its true form. Seeing a Unovan Zorua on Danny’s shoulder is common, as are Rowlet and Hoothoot. No one’s really sure where Danny caught them all, but they don’t care enough to ask.
Phantom, on the other hand, can be seen at night playing with a ghostly variant of Zorua previously thought to be extinct.
PKMN TEAMS:
danny:
hisuian zorua (discussed above)
absol (stalks him for a year because Danny is a Walking Disaster and triggers all of absol’s danger senses. maybe it tried to prevent the portal accident and failed?)
jazz:
eevee (lots of potential, connections to mutations/~molecules getting all rearranged~)
parents were pushing for eevee to evolve into umbreon, but………
sam:
bulbasaur (grass type, connection to “save the frogs” episode)
shiny purrloin (technically the family pet, but is fond of sam)
tucker:
helioptile (generates electricity, connections to desert and ”hotep ra” episode)
rotom (initially a pest who possesses his tech, later forms a rotom phone relationship)
maddie:
weavile (intelligent, vicious hunter. has hands to help out in the lab)
houndoom (hunter, pack animal, loyal)
jack:
slaking (lazy and unassuming but very powerful. has hands to help out in the lab)
porygon2 maybe? (gift from vlad with the intention of hacking their systems)
^^^ weavile and slaking are maddie and jack’s starters. houndoom and porygon2 are bonded to the whole fenton family rather than one particular person.
vlad:
crobat (vampiric, requires friendship- aka vlad isn’t completely evil)
skitty (nicknamed maddie)
noivern (vampiric, violent and cruel but can be tamed. maybe it bonds to Danny and defects?)
hydreigon (destructive and overwhelmingly powerful)
shiny charizard
also probably like a dozen dreepy/dragapult
^^^ most of vlad’s pokemon are just displays of wealth and power. he hasn’t seriously bonded with any of them except for crobat, his starter, and skitty, his “sister’s cat”.
also a note that im not necessarily choosing pkmn that perfectly match a character’s theme or aesthetics, but instead ones that are realistic for them to have in this universe!
WORLDBUILDING NOTES:
Starter pokemon are gifted by the child’s parents. Traditional starters like charmander/bulbasaur/squirtle are only available to those sponsored by a prominent pkmn lab and/or rich parents.
Having a full team is rare unless you’re a full time trainer… it’s just too expensive to house and feed them. On a similar note, shinies are basically unheard of unless you’re stupidly rich.
Pokemon journeys are still considered a rite of passage, but aren’t a universal experience. Not everyone participates, and those who do usually only get 1-2 badges before quitting. The average age for new trainers is around 13-16, though legally you can start at 10.
Amity Park is a ghostly hot spot just like Kanto’s lavender town. There are a few gravesites, but not nearly enough to justify the amount of activity it receives.
The ghost zone primarily contains “dead” ghosts, but “living” ghost pkmn are attuned to the zone and use natural portals to traverse the world.
The Fenton family’s pokemon are all either dark or normal type, for type effectiveness and immunity against ghosts respectively. Any pokemon they give to their children will follow the same type theme in the hopes that they will join the ghost hunting business.
Danny:
was very excited to start his pkmn journey, but with his new ghost instincts demanding he protect Amity Park, he can’t see it happening anymore. Also, while Zorua gradually grows more confident and helps Danny with ghost fights, it still hates having human attention drawn to it and wouldn’t enjoy the publicity of gym battling.
is friends with loads of ghost pkmn, but he never officially catches any besides zorua. They’re residents of his haunt, not his teammates.
if the accident didn’t happen, his starter would either be hoothoot (because of spooky from the initial show concept) or a common dog like poochyena or lillipup… the Fentons spent all their money getting jazz a fancy eevee so Danny’s starter wouldn’t be nearly as impressive :’) rowlet would only be a possibility if gifted from Vlad, though Danny’s parents wouldn’t approve as it evolves into a ghost type.
Sam:
is very anti-battling at first. She felt that battling was abusive and was probably very loud and in your face about it lol. However, Bulbasaur loves to battle and wants to use it as a way to get stronger and evolve, so after a messy disagreement, Sam begins to see it in a healthier light. She still advocates for better pkmn rights, but is careful not to speak over those she’s defending.
would probably join team Aqua, Magma, or Plasma for at least half a day before realizing theyre evil lolol. (then she’d work with Danny and Tucker to defeat them on the exact same day)
Bulbasaur has a lengthy pedigree and comes from a line of contest winners. Neither it nor Sam have any interest in continuing that tradition though.
is the most likely person in the DP cast to become the champion.
Tucker:
is neutral on gym battling. He thinks the concept is cool and likes watching the championships on TV, but is way too much work to actually participate in. His pokemon feel the same and are happy just helping with his electronics.
is obsessed with Silph Co technology rather than new PDAs. He’s always buying their newest gadgets, even if he doesn’t have a proper use for them.
babies the hell out of his pokemon. helioptile is his little angel who can do no wrong and he’s always shielding it from dangerous situations (which becomes a bit of an issue as ghost fights increase in frequency.) With rotom, hes always double checking that its comfortable in his phone, if it wants to possess anything else, if he should upgrade its appliances, etc etc.
Jazz:
never went on a pokemon journey. She thought it was a waste of time since she didn’t want to become a trainer anyway. However, ghost hunting helps Jazz discover her own love of battling, so now she kinda regrets it.
eevee eventually evolves into sylveon. Its prehensile ribbons help Jazz multitask and its empathetic nature assists Jazz with psychology. Also it can scare away Vlads dragons lolol. Maybe it evolves in the middle of a fight against him?
if she gets any other teammates, it should reflect her desire to keep Danny safe. Maybe a honedge? usually Danny’s the one with a sword in fanon, but i think jazz deserves one too!!!

It makes me a little sad that most people took Cyrus at his word of being emotionless... Going on videos of his theme, people always talk about what a sociopathic manipulator he is and how terrifying he is, and it's so strange after reading about him. In game, Saturn literally refers to him as contradiction and ironic. Cyrus himself literally berates himself for being consumed by feelings in the Distortion World. He gets angry when his plans are interrupted at the end. He's constantly disproving that he's without feeling. Even greater is the knowledge of the journal in the Rotom Room. It shows that he was once just a normal kid who clearly had the capacities to care for and love another being.
Like the long-winded debates about how Cyrus has a Crobat and what that means... He literally says: "Unlike other Team Galactic members, I don't use Pokémon as tools. Instead, I make the power of Pokémon my own." I really doubt he gaslit his Golbat into thinking he loved it enough to evolve. It's more likely that he simply genuinely cared for it since he obviously has that capacity. How else could he make its power his own?
I don't know where I'm going with this. I am just annoyed that people aren't insane about this one-time villain character who has next to nothing going on but his insanity about making a complete, perfect world.

One thing I've always found was a nice touch was how many villains have a Mega Evolution or friendship evolution on their team, to signify that there's at least some good in them and that they treat their Pokemon fairly well.
(And I know people often think Cyrus manipulated his Crobat, but given he was friends with Rotom in the past and still displays some signs of sentimentality towards the species, I think he does care for his own Pokemon deep down. He just wouldn't admit to it since he's clinging to his ideology.)
But then there's Ghetsis, who in B2W2, had his Hydreigon have a Life Orb and a max power Frustration to signify how much it hates (and is possibly even afraid of) him, and him not hiding his cruelty and more savage nature anymore, while his BW Hydreigon better suits his more cunning and composed personality from those games, especially when you realize it counters EVERYTHING on N's team:

Pokemon Card of the Day #3113: Dark Magcargo (Neo Destiny)
Tumblr media
Dark Magcargo was part of a trend in Neo Destiny, as there were a few attempts to help deal with Baby Pokemon. Dark Magcargo was really only there for this role, as its damage output was rather poor. It did, however, add up to just enough that an Active Dark Magcargo prevented any safety for the opponent when putting a Baby Pokemon onto the Bench. This, alongside an obvious deck landing spot with Neo Revelation Magcargo, made this seem really promising. It was going to have to get through a couple of problems to actually achieve its goals, however.
60 HP was one big problem for Dark Magcargo, as it wasn't that sturdy. That, combined with a Water Weakness that let Dark Feraligatr, Kingdra, Mantine, and Kabutops all have an easy KO, meant that a significant portion of the game could wipe this out in 1 hit once set up. This did cut into how much Dark Magcargo could actually do in a game, as it needed to be Active during the opponent's turn to pull off its combo. The Retreat Cost was 3, so you might have it stuck up front until it took that KO.
Hot Plate was the start of the combo. This Pokemon Power only worked when Dark Magcargo was your Active Pokemon. If it was, any Basic or Baby Pokemon put into play from either player's hand took 10 damage right away. This was annoying if you were using it, but was a big deal since it took things like Cleffa and Pichu down to 20, a notable spot when factoring in the attack on this.
Ball of Flame did just 20 damage for 2 Fire Energy. You could also discard a Fire Energy from Dark Magcargo, and if you did so, you got to choose 1 of the opponent's Benched Pokemon and do 20 to that as well. A Hot Plate-weakened Baby would fall to this if all went well. Actually getting that off was more possible against some things than others, and Focus Band could still turn it into a coin flip. That being said, a cheap Prize was always worth something, especially against any deck that couldn't get a quick KO on a Dark Magcargo.
Dark Magcargo was really annoying if given enough time to do some work, as it was an anti-Cleffa and Pichu measure for Entei/Magcargo decks. Despite this, it wasn't used much. There were a lot of things to get around, including any Water-type attacker, Pokemon that could hit for 60 or more, and Muk. Focus Band attachments would even turn a successful use into a 50-50. This was by no means a Dark Crobat situation where you could avoid flips or a Murkrow one where you could trap something up front. A single copy could be considered alongside Magcargo decks since every once in a while you'd hit the right opponent, but with most of the best decks having a way to limit its impact you'd probably just want to focus on hitting things hard instead.

A day at the pond!
Tumblr media
So uh... might've gotten carried away with this one lol
Tumblr media
At first it was just gonna be Waxer and his Swampert but like @formvienthusiast, bestie, you are SO right about that dragonair! So of course I had to add da baby (i say baby but waxer is hella smart so that thing has an eviolite and can shred opponents lmao)
And then you got me thinking about Boil's team and I've always pictured him with a crobat but I can also totally see him with a togekiss so maybe he's got a flying dual type team? Featuring togekiss? I just think he'd be really good with those two friendship evolutions
So, @formvienthusiast, my friend, you (with your empoleon and corviknight) and Fives (with his metagross and armarouge), are up against Waxer (swampert and dragonair) and Boil (crobat and togekiss)! *cue pokemon battle theme of your choice*
Who's the next trooper lookin' for a fight??
<3 I do not give my consent or my permission for my art to be re-posted or reuploaded on this or any other website <3

i don't have a team name for these guys besides referring them as "old team" since they're a team from the past long before the beginning of "fractured reprise"
it took a bit of creativity to get good refs for Fang and Fina lol but I found a way
Fang has the most scars since he's the more reckless type, Lin has a few and Sol has a couple (one on their back) from trying to protect Lin once from an attack
anyway, characters from my fic, and long wall of text below!
Lin (the sceptile) joined the guild as a treecko, Fang (the crobat) was part of the guild for a little while by the time Lin joined and was still a zubat. Lin was the more careful type and Fang was the type to rush into things.
the two were a bit competitive, and eventually they were forced to work together on a mission, and while it had a rocky start, they succeeded and decided to officially team up afterwards.
Fina (the chandelure) was a part of the guild during this time, but wasn't a normal member, she helped with the paperwork and such inside the guild and wasn't much of a fighter. she was still a litwick, and one time she had to go with Lin and Fang out on a job in order to help them out (had to do with her paperwork stuff and it was the one time she actually wanted to go out even though she was still scared), and during that time she ended up evolving into a lampent, and despite being fearful, she had good instincts and powerful moves. so after the job was done, Lin asked her to join the team and she agreed.
Sol and Luna (the solrock and lunatone) were always together, it was extremely rare to see them separate. not siblings, and not significant others, they were simply two halves of the same whole ever since they were born. the two of them joined the guild around the time Lin did. they were both powerful psychic types and carefully picked out which jobs they do. sometime after Fina joined the team, the duo approached Lin and asked if they could join as well.
Sol and Luna were perfectly fine being by themselves, but they had been observing the other teams over time. and felt that Lin was a good leader that they wanted to follow and watch over, which is why they asked to join his team. Lin was hesitant at first but agreed soon after, since he knew the two might've come off a little strange, but they were powerful psychics and knew they could help out greatly.
not all of the members would go out on jobs at once, sometimes going out in pairs or trios to get certain jobs done. they became a high rank quickly, and were highly respected by the other guild members.
one day, they received word of a pokemon stealing within the town and even managing to steal things from the guild and they go to investigate, finding a bagon in the middle of an argument with a skrelp.

Snape's Snokemon team
Got inspired to design a full Pokemon team for Snape so here we go.
First off is Serperior: the Regal Pokemon. It's a snake, it's royal, what more justification do you need? I think the Half Blood Prince wouldn't be able to resist that sort of combination. Serperior is definitely the Pokemon he claims as his main one for the sake of appearances.
Second is Paras: the Mushroom Pokemon. I figure Snape originally caught this one for the cordyceps mushrooms on its back, which are known for their use in herbal medicine, and then decided to keep it around. Also, @dastardly-lemondrops informed me that Paras in Legends Arceus are bizarrely aggro and that it would be funny if Snape's Paras was like an angry chihuahua.
Third is Watchog: the Lookout Pokemon. I picked this one because it seems like it would be great for helping him search for ingredients while out in the forest. Plus, I think that with Snape's past of being targeted when alone, he'd love a Pokemon that's always on the lookout for him instead. Because of that, Watchog ends up very protective of him, to the point where Snape tends to only call it out when others aren't around.
Fourth is Golduck: the Duck Pokemon. I figure Snape needs a water-type for underwater gathering and Golduck seemed a great fit for that. It regularly scours the lake for interesting ingredients that Snape can add to his potions. Also, Golduck has telepathic abilities that allows it to pass on knowledge to its trainer that I'm sure Snape would love.
Fifth is Delphox: the Fox Pokemon. With the witch and prophecy theming, I thought Delphox was a good pick for Snape, even if he wouldn't exactly like it. Therefore, I've decided that the reason he kept it around is that it's a shiny that just showed up one day and wouldn't leave him alone. It's very insistent on sticking around and he enjoys the prestige of having a shiny so now he just has to deal with this thing looming over his shoulder and starting all his fires for him.
And the final pick is Crobat: the Bat Pokemon. It wouldn't be a Snape team without at least one poison-type, so I figured why not lean into the dungeon bat theme. I've decided he raised this one all the way up from a Zubat, maybe even his first Pokmon. Also, since Crobat is a friendship based evolution, it would give a hint as to his true nature. People who don't remember him having a Zubat assume he got lucky in finding one, and those who do remember his little Zubat assume he got rid of it in exchange for the final evolution.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also: honorable mentions to Inkay, Polteageist, and Shuckle for being great potential picks that didn't make the cut.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

What Pokemon would each member of the AMM cast like to be, if they could choose? To the ones already Pokemon (which is most of them lol), they can't choose what they already are!
(This does include the baby Latis, but I understand if they're too little and inexperienced to have an answer. X3)
(It also includes Mew!)
Zeus is very protection focused since the birth of the mittens, as well as being more of a fighter, so probably something like a Lucario or Zoroark
Mosy in typical Mew fashion is very powerful but prefers play and taking on a more supportive role, so I’d say Pawmot! They’re fluffy lil powerhouses but got the whole defibrillator paws and Revival Blessing thing
Fuji would definitely be an Alakazam. They’re both extremely intelligent and powerful
Joyce got that typical Nurse Joy bias towards Chansey even if she currently doesn’t have one, so Blissey for sure!
Garroway loves flying so I imagine Crobat! They’re very agile fliers plus they’re actually very friendly despite being a bit intimidating, just like Garroway!
Though I haven’t really shown it Amari can be pretty sassy and bite-y with people, it’s why Joyce caught her in a Friendball. I think Garchomp! They’re shown to be aggressive so I think they’d be great parents when it comes to protecting young . She’d like that
Piper would most definitely be a Pokémon that’s calm and relaxed by nature, so Chikorita! I’m sure she’d love to sunbathe and get pet all day lol
Briar is a problem child despite still being fairly young. She’s always got high energy and has picked up on her mother’s habit of being bite-y, so I think Tododile. Lord save your fingers, but Amari is very proud
Mew would pick Darkrai. I will not elaborate
Also I know the the mittens weren’t mentioned BUT Marshadow for Callie, Solosis for Clio, and Pachirisu for Toto. I will once again not elaborate
