THE SEASON 4 FINALE OUGHH PSYCHIC DAMAGE

this is the one woman house “accepts” and wilson acknowledges that it might be what breaks their usual cycle: wilson gets wife, eventually resents wife when they aren’t “needy” anymore, divorces wife, crashes at house’s, and cries on his shoulder while house acts dismissive rinse and repeat. wilson now has a partner that works with him (and is a “female proxy” of house but that’s a whole other conversation lol) and house isn’t constantly wrecking havoc on them. as bonnie puts it, he isn’t necessarily what causes the breakups, but he certainly doesn’t help. now it’s different and there is a real chance at their lives changing, maybe even for the better. mutual respect that was never present now is and while house definitely does nip at their ankles, house and amber totally agree on what wilson needs (the whole bed debacle amber and house had the same view on it). wilson could be free from their weird, co-dependant, and possessive relationship, but still have a relationship⁉️

THEN AMBER FUCKING DIES. Their one chance at again, breaking their destructive cycle, is gone. NOT ONLY THAT THOUGH. What gets me is that if amber hated him she wouldn’t have picked him up. The reason amber dies is because they chose to act differently. If amber had been like the others, she would lived because she’d never have picked up house. if she had been like the others though, then well… she’d have left wilson’s life eventually just like the others. house’s “im so sorry” works not only him genuinely expressing sympathy (which was VERY fun to watch btw) but also for everything that led to it. if he hadn’t made his little truce, if he wasn’t drinking alone because of his destructive coping mechanisms, if he hadn’t had amber as a fellow in the first place, literally if he hadn’t been who he was, amber could have lived.

EDIT: Also, amber herself saying “I shouldn’t have gotten on that bus” hurts more too cause it’s like yeah that would have saved her, but as i said earlier not finding house would’ve made her like the other wives. There was literally no way to avoid it. sorry amber but you had to get in that bus 😟.

so now what..? the cycle is definitely altered, as house now has a direct part to play in amber’s death (also just the fact that it’s a death), but it still continues. as upset as wilson will be with house, that really doesn’t change the fact that house is all he has, once again…

hello! could you explain the nolan and nico lore? what happened between them?

Nico and Nolan, were both in the 2017 draft they were going head to head on seeing who was going to go 1st overall. Media through this tried to paint some picture that they had some big rivalry (they always do this.) Tho it was pretty evident THROUGH HARD CORE FLIRTING ON NATIONAL TELEVISION that these dudes had nothing but respect for each other, and were happy on whatever spot they landed.

It was highly anticipated that Nolan was going to go 1OA, and its been like that ever since the kid was 15-16 (give or take.) Tho injuries derailed him of his spot, and the little Swiss prince came out of no where and jumped the rankings. In the end Nico went 1OA to New Jersey, and Nolan landed 2OA heading to Philadelphia.

Most thought that they’d just associate during the draft and go separate ways after. Though it came out that they actually went on vacation together during one of the All Star Weekend breaks and were well in contact. You could also find them liking and commenting on each others ig pics time to time.

They had that “met once and instantly clicked” kind of chemistry and you just couldn’t miss it… FAST FOREWARD TO PRESENT DAY AND NOLPATS IS BRINGING US THROUGH THE RINGER, AND DECIDES TO UNFOLLOW NICO AFTER 6/7 YEARS WHILE NICO STILL FOLLOWS HIM BACK *SIGH*.

So here’s a throwback of the hard launch Nolan did at the time (now deleted.) I know Nolan’s ass is picky on who makes it on his gram, so IF THIS DOESN’T SAY SOMETHING TO YOU.

Side note: I forgot to add that moment when they both got asked by a reporter which country they’d play/represent besides their own and they said that they’d play for each others countries. SO NOLANS VISIBLY BLUSHING AND SMILING OUT HIS ASS LIKE “Yeah Nico showed me photos of back home, so I’d say Switzerland.” SEE YA.

Do you think Halbrand/Sauron was honest with Galadriel in the forge scene or was he manipulating her? Were his tears fake or did he feel genuine remorse about the things he had done?

I am firmly Team He Never Lied (or At Least For the Most Part) because two things: 1) it was fun for him, and 2) it was cathartic for him. It gave him the chance to process these feelings with her, wiTH HER, HIS CHIEF ADVERSARY WHO IS SO WHOLLY OBSESSED WITH HIM THAT SHE CANNOT SEE HIM IN THE FLESH BEFORE HER. and it's like he got to get a fast track to a redemption arc where they would have a conversation like this openly but with bags and bags and BAGS AND BAGGAGE BEYOND RECKONING of shame which would delay the healing. he's efficient!!

As has been discussed, Sauron was flirtatious with redemption during the second age and in part because he was such a submissive servant in the first age so he doesn't even know himself and what he wants. Of course he would want to abase himself to the nearest authority figure who was like "okay but it'll be 12k hail marys and 10M our fathers and a shit ton of community service" and he was like "hard pass, what if I can find peace and redemption on my own terms alone in isolation."
