fuck that tory was not what i was epecting to see next to alfreds name but i almost burst out laughing (bc holy shit he absolutely could be a tory with the military history)
Alfred was part of the British military then mi5 he's a upper-class butler who also likes guns when told he was going to be the primary care taker of a child he decided the best thing to do would be to keep their relationship professional as this child was now his employer - he's not exactly fighting the tory allegations

Propaganda
Michael Redgrave (The Lady Vanishes)—my beautiful bisexual hot linguist geek dandy nerd. I'm specifically nominating him for "The Lady Vanishes," but how can you not love him in this—it's a strikingly modern performance, not a whiff of old school macho masculinity; he starts the movie as a bit of a cad, thoughtless and self-absorbed, but the second our heroine's in trouble he's attentive, he's helpful, he's running around speaking languages and helping her with international spycraft shenanigans and just being so funny and warm and JOYOUS. (and again. he is SO bisexual. see the picture [attached below]). he's hot in the debate club twink kinda way and i've never wanted to smooch an idiot more
Gene Autry (The Singing Cowboy, The Sagebrush Troubadour)—no propaganda submitted
This is round 1 of the bracket. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage man.

CEO of writing the first chapter of a fic then immediately pivoting to write the first chapter or an extremely different fic: Here's the blurb for my next Romancing the Butler affair:
Bruce looked up at the giant statue of a sheriff's star in front of him, completely unamused. It read: the Goldspur Hotel and Casino.
“Is this supposed to be funny, Alfred?”
“On the contrary, sir: It is funny.”

I wrote a little drabble for my cowboy au.
————————————————————
"C'mon darlin, take off those clothes." Alfred stood by the end of the bed, staring at a glaring, flustered Ivan. "I caught you fair and square~"
"No. You cheated using your annoying little spy!" Despite the heat in the room, Ivan pulled his coat in tighter from prying eyes (and hands).
With a laugh at the chaste behavior, Alfred kicked his boots off before crawling towards the man against the headboard. "I didn't cheat and Peter's a good kid. He's just very proactive in wanting to protect the community and tries to keep me informed about any suspicious behavior."
"Sitting at the bar is not suspicious behavior!"
"And your sister's last three husbands died of natural causes–"
"Do not bring that– Ah!"
He was given no chance of biting back before Alfred, quick as he is when shooting his gun, snatched Ivan's leg and with terrifying strength, yanked him down the bed. There was barely a fight to be had when Alfred had the upper hand in this moment as he gripped both of Ivan's wrists and kept them pinned to the mattress. Their lower halves pushed together and Ivan could feel the distinct threat of a gun (at least that's what he hoped it was) pressed into his waist.
"You know the rules Vanya. Just be a good boy for me and I can make this a great time for the both of us~"
