Advantages of Loan Participation Automation
Automating the loan participation process is essential for any bank looking to increase its liquidity. Manual processes require long forms to be filled out, which takes time. Automation also allows banks to focus on their core business and invest money into innovation. Ultimately, loan participation automation will improve banks' bottom lines and reduce the administrative burden. Listed below are some of the advantages of automated loan participation. Weigh your options and decide which is right for your bank. The first major advantage of automated loan participation technology is that it helps banks to reduce their burden. The manual loan participation process involves long and complex loan documents. Automating this process can eliminate much of the paper involved. Additionally, it makes the process transparent and easier to understand for consumers. With radius loan track , you will have access to important information at the touch of a button. And if you are a bank looking to increase your profitability, automating the loan participation process is a smart move. Automating the loan participation process has many advantages for banks. It increases the flexibility of balance sheet management. The automated platform can streamline the process and reduce costs. This is ideal for banks that want to increase their profitability while serving a larger pool of borrowers. You can use the same software for participating in multiple loan markets. This software can be customized to meet your specific needs and can help you reduce the cost of the entire process. The main benefit of automation is the increased efficiency and flexibility of the entire loan participation process. Automating the loan participation process is crucial for efficient management of the industry. Previously, managing the flow of customer documents into the system was a time-consuming and tedious process. With new modules, participating banks can now connect seamlessly to a central database. A single administrator can configure the details of each bank and add as many participating banks as necessary to the loan. Then, they will be able to send documents to the participants at one time. Automated loan participation also makes the process more convenient for banks. All documents can be shared easily, making it easier to transfer documents to the right parties. It also reduces the number of documents in the loan participation process. With the automated system, the document sharing process is transparent and easy for everyone. In addition to being more efficient, it is also more beneficial for banks and customers. These benefits make loan participation more attractive for all banks. And, if you're looking to save time, automating your loan participation process is the way to go. Automating loan participation is vital for banks. This process requires a lot of paper. Banks must process a huge amount of documents to make loans. However, automated loan participation eliminates this paper. The automated process also makes the loan process more accessible for consumers. When all the documents are sent to participants, they'll receive an email confirming the loan and the lender's acceptance. This way, the entire loan process becomes transparent and accessible. Another benefit of automating the loan participation process is better risk management. The digital environment of a bank helps banks share and manage multiple participants more efficiently. It can also streamline the loan participation process and give a bank more time to focus on other tasks. Furthermore, automated loan participation can help banks cut costs and improve their efficiency. There are several advantages to this technology, including greater flexibility and compliance. It can also prevent fraud. So, it is worth the investment. Automating loan participation is a great way to improve the process and reduce the amount of paper. It also increases the transparency of the loan process and eliminates the need for lengthy documents. Moreover, it makes the loan process more accessible and transparent for consumers. It also saves the bank a lot of time. By automating the loan participation process, banks can focus on their core business. They can invest more in innovation and provide better service to their customers. Automating the loan participation process is important for banks and other financial institutions. Traditional paper-based processes are laborious and tedious. By using automated solutions, banks can streamline the process and increase their liquidity. Further, it allows them to streamline their relationships with customers and improve their services. They can offer flexibility and ease of access. They can be more responsive to their customers. If you're a bank, automating loan participation is vital. So you can benefit from automation and streamline the entire process!

I hhave three questions, if I may!
Does DogDay in the red giant au like, attack anything that is alive/that moves, or not? Like, if someone where to give him food would he attack them or?? Sorry if this question is dumb lol
This sorta plays into the third question, but do you have any tips on how to draw the smiling critters?
Do you have any tips making a smiling critter oc? I'm really struggling with coming up for a design for my one, she always ends up lookin plain/boring :(
HELLOO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG
1 sort of…..???
He would rather snatch the food from your hand and forget about you than actually try to go after you!! It’s easy food after all!
And even if he did try attacking you, he can’t really so much, he has no strength left!
2 JUST ONE BUT YES
TEAR. BODIES.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
thats literally it. tear bodies. that how you can construct their bodies.. Play with that! Make different poses!
3 Of course! Here are some tips!!
NAMES-
Soo, i usually base my ocs on animal idioms, animal expressions, adjectives, etc. Here are some examples with meanings!!
Loan Shark
Moneylender who asks for a lot of money, usually illegally.
CashCow
Someone who makes a lot of money from a company
BusyBee
Someone who keeps themselves busy
KittyCorner
Diagonally opposite from someone or something
Sitting Duck(s)
Someone thats easy to manipulate, cheat or take advantage of
EagerBeaver
Someone who works very hard and enthusiastically
WholeHog
Do something to its fullest extent
GuineaPig
Person used as a subject for an experiment
Wild Goose (Chase)
Foolish chase for something unattainable
BlackSheep
Person who embarrasses a group for being different
One-Trick-Pony
Person with one great talent but doesn’t have much more to offer
Road Hog
Dangerous driver, someone who drives recklessly
TopDog
The most important person in a group
You can also take normal expressions that have certain words that sound like animal species! Take my oc as an example (Sir Bat-An-Eye.)
COLORS-
IF you are basing your little critter on a real animal, you could think, “Man, how do i make this little guy look more Smiling Critter-ish?”
COLORS!!
Take Bubba for example,
Tumblr media
He is an elephant! Elephants aren’t a bright blinding blue! Yet in a lot of cartoons they are represented this way because it is way more colorful! Sure to attract kids.
If it is an actual animal, search for some cartoon references of them! Maybe that can help!
Saturate the colors A LOT. Do you think kiddies would like an old, rusty, sad-beige-mom animal in their show??!?! Well- maybe…..🤔
But thats not the point! Make them bright! Make them pop!
Also, don’t always base them off of the animals ACTUAL colors! Give them different colors! If you want to make your alligator oc red because he lives in the depths of an erupting volcano then go ahead! If you want your parrot oc to be THE COLOR OF THE FUCKING RAINBOW then go ahead!! Who says they have to be the normal colors? Not me!
PERSONALITY AND ANIMAL CHOOSING-
Sooo… if you wanna be very picky like me.. then choose animals by how they would act in a society!
A hyena wouldn’t be nice! They would make fun of people, they would be rude!
A gazelle would be shy! They wouldn’t get their kicks from fighting!
Tumblr media
That kinda what i mean🤔
If you want an elegant Critter, look for animals that often represent elegance, like peacocks!!
WHAT THEY DO.
What would they do if they were caretakers in PlayCare? A therapist? A janitor? What do they teach? Think about that and maybe that will help you with their necklaces!!
If you need more help, ask away :p!!

Hello I was just wondering if you've seen Imani Barbarin talk about not voting (https://x.com/imani_barbarin/status/1747723080917492020?s=46&t=55h0eHrgY7FtQI8ej54maw)? I saw you reblog the post about "not waiting for the morally pure candidate" and I think that's a willful misrepresentation of what Gen Z is feeling
We've not seen Biden address ANY of the things the post claims (climate change is the only one I remember without scrolling back) but we have seen him approve more oil licenses than trump, drop more bombs than trump, support a genocide, abandon disabled people and any Covid mitigations during the second highest surge since the start of the pandemic (with less testing so odds are things r even worse than we can tell), bring back student debt, etc etc
As a Gen Z'r, I genuinely want to understand how y'all can believe "no vote is a vote for fascism" when both candidates are horrendous? Why is the onus on us and not the politicians to do better instead of pointing fingers and saying "at least we're better than Trump" when that is categorically untrue?
I'm sorry if this is too rant-y I'm just so furious and frustrated with my perception of older voters' complacency with being given utter shit instead of organizing for better
I am trying very hard to be reasoned and understanding about this- bearing in mind that we want the same things in the end and I'mnot jazzed for Biden either -when it's extremely, EXTREMELY obvious to me that Trump is worse.
Like.
If he gets elected there might not be another election. The man was theoretically willing to use military force to quell protests if he lost the 2020 election (why he didn't, I don't know; but I'm not willing to give him that chance a second time).
Trump has called himself a dictator, proudly, in the same breath as saying "we're closing the border and we're drilling, drilling, drilling." Biden does NOT remotely have a perfect record on either of those things- he was locked into some construction of the border wall by how the funds had already been allocated by Congress during the Trump administration, but not everything he's done in relation to it, which also pisses me off. As for the oil thing, it's a bit more complicated than it seems on the surface: not as simple as "he doesn't actually care about the environment" even as it's definitely not a good move or in line with his stated climate goals.
As for those climate goals, I found this interesting article that rates key areas of climate action and how they've fared during the Biden administration. It was updated in January, and it is not sycophantically uncritical across the board. But that is LEAGUES more progress than we'd get under a system of "drilling, drilling, drilling" with absolutely no concessions to the climate crisis at all.
His handling of the situation in Palestine...yeah, I struggle with that, too. I know he's been trying to talk their leaders down, to some degree, but it's not nearly enough to me. And I STRONGLY disagree with us selling them weapons. However, Trump's statements on the matter- calling for a ban on Gazan refugees in the US, calling pro-Palestinian protestors "barbarians," and saying he'd revoke the student visa of anyone he deemed "anti-American" -makes me believe that letting him get into power is not something my conscience would allow, vis a vis the fate of the Palestinian people. Because it would be exponentially worse.
I also think the material good that has happened under the Biden administration has been...MASSIVELY under-publicized. Because like. He HAS addressed things. Lots of things, in fact.
this article from last year was too early to include pardoning thousands of people federally convicted of simple marijuana possession (again, not perfect, but still very good), setting new rules to limit methane emissions, capping prices for at least some major insulin producers, partial student loan debt forgiveness (tried to do more, but got hamstrung by Republicans), cancelling oil leases granted by Trump in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (not enough given the leases HE granted, but it's not nothing either), and much more I'm sure I'm overlooking. Because, again, nobody's been talking about it. It sells more news subscriptions to feed readers an endless stream of what Biden is doing wrong- which I am not denying! -leaving people with the dangerous impression that both sides are the same. Republicans would not have done any of this. That's just the truth of the matter.
Look, I would like a better option, too. I would love to actually LIKE a presidential candidate in my lifetime. I'd love one who wouldn't make concessions to the interests of selfish, heartless people with ledgers where their sense of human compassion should be. I just don't see that person coming to power between now and November.
And I'll take someone who is Standard US Politician Slimy but at least makes some improvements (unfortunately, I doubt there's anyone with a chance of winning in less than a year who doesn't support Israel to some degree, since this country have a long history of that) over someone who might actually stage a right-wing military coup, and who would kill me and other marginalized people himself if he thought it would get him more fame and fortune.
Some people say their conscience won't let them vote Biden. I can't tell them what to do. But if he gets the Democratic nomination, my conscience wouldn't let me do anything else.

Located 62km north-east of the capital Manila, Daraitan village in Rizal province is home to about 5,700 residents, a majority of whom are members of the Dumagat-Remontado indigenous people who consider vast hectares of the mountain range as part of their ancestral domain.
But the village may soon disappear under the same waters that give it life, once the Philippine government finishes building the Kaliwa Dam – one of 16 flagship infrastructure projects of former president Rodrigo Duterte that is being funded by China.
The new dam is expected to provide Metro Manila with an additional 600 million litres of water daily once it is finished by end-2026. Officials said building the 60m-high reservoir is even more necessary now that the country is starting to feel the impact of the El Nino weather phenomenon.
But it was only in 2021 under Mr Duterte that construction finally broke ground, three years after Manila and Beijing signed the 12 billion peso (S$288 million) loan agreement.
Of the 119 on the list [of flagship projects of the "Build, Build, Build” infrastructure programme], Mr Duterte turned to China to finance 16 big-ticket projects in a bid to cement his legacy by the time his presidency ended in 2022. He embraced Beijing during his term and even downplayed Manila’s claims in the disputed South China Sea in favour of securing loans and grants from China.
Analysts have criticised Mr Duterte’s infrastructure programme as ambitious. Perennial domestic issues like local politics, right-of-way acquisition problems, lack of technology and red tape in bureaucracy led to severe delays in the projects.
The same issues hound the China-funded projects – which come under Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to build infrastructure in developing nations – with the problems made more severe by Beijing’s high interest rates in its loan agreements and local backlash due to displacement of residents or potential environmental damage.
Critics say the BRI has been detrimental in the long run to some recipient countries, especially those that have been unable to repay their loans, like Sri Lanka and Zambia.
The Duterte government’s failure to take advantage of its BRI loans was a “missed opportunity” for the Philippines, said infrastructure governance specialist Jerik Cruz, a graduate research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The four completed China-funded projects under Mr Duterte were controversial too. But they came to fruition because they had the support of local politicians allied with Mr Duterte and therefore increased his political capital, said Dr Camba.
Tribal leaders said they were not properly consulted regarding the project that threatens their traditional way of life. Environmentalists from the Stop Kaliwa Dam Network also say the project would destroy 126 species of flora and fauna in the Sierra Madre.
The Philippines’ Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act states that the government must first secure a tribe’s free, prior and informed consent before building on its ancestral lands.
But Ms Clara Dullas, one of the leaders of the Dumagat-Remontado in Rizal, alleged that the Duterte government had either misinformed or pressured other tribe members into giving their consent.
She could not bear to hold grudges, though, noting that the Dumagat-Remontado organisations that eventually agreed to the Kaliwa Dam were each given 80 million pesos, or $1.9 million, in “disturbance” fees.
“The Kaliwa Dam is the reason why our tribe is divided now. There is a crack in our relationships even if we all come from the same family,” said Ms Dullas. “I can’t blame the others because we lack money. I believe there was bribery involved.”
The government requires them to present identification documents, and only those given passes may enter. Mr Dizon said this is to ensure that no unidentified personnel enter the area [close to the construction zone].
“We feel like we are foreigners in our own home because the Chinese and the people in our own government are now preventing us from entering the lands where we grew up,” said tribe leader Renato Ibanez, 48.
Mr Ibanez also accuses the Philippine authorities of harassing tribe members who are vocal against Kaliwa Dam. Some of them have been accused of working with communist rebels, a charge the tribe vehemently denies.
Unlike his predecessor, Mr Marcos is more aggressive in defending Manila’s overlapping claims with Beijing in the South China Sea, but still fosters economic ties with it.
Geopolitical tensions between the two nations and Mr Marcos’ stance towards Beijing are going to dictate the fate of the pending China-funded projects the President inherited from Mr Duterte, said Mr Cruz.
Tribe members said they would be more amenable if Mr Marcos would revisit Japan’s proposed Kaliwa Intake Weir project that Mr Duterte had set aside.
“We like Japan’s proposal. It would not destroy our forests. It would not affect residents here. The Philippines would not be buried in debt,” said Ms Dullas.
This was among the alternatives the Dumagat-Remontados offered during their nine-day march in February 2023, when some 300 members walked 150km from Quezon and Rizal all the way to Manila to protest against the Kaliwa Dam.
But they failed to secure an audience with Mr Marcos. They remain wary of the President’s position on the Kaliwa Dam and other controversial China-funded deals.
“As much as we want to fully pin our hopes on him, we don’t. We’ve learnt from past efforts to trick us, make us believe a project is about to end, only for it to be resurrected again years later,” said Ms Dullas.

Have you got any good resources for men’s clothing in Ireland (or even Scotland) during about the 1400’s-1600’s?
I have been trying to find anything that can give me better insight so I can recreate the clothing but so far I’m mostly seeing cheap rubbish costumes that are very clearly the generic “medieval” style that everyone goes to when they want to convey a vibe but don’t feel like doing historic accuracy.
Not to say there’s anything wrong with that but I’d like to really impress people in future gatherings that pertain to this time period
This is a tough one, unfortunately. The 2 best books for this have been out of print for decades and now sell second hand for $100+ USD. Your best bet for getting a hold of them is interlibrary loan. Neither of these books contains sewing patterns or construction information. They are:
Old Irish and Highland Dress by H. F. McClintock, 1st ed. 1943, 2nd ed 1950
Dress in Ireland by Mairead Dunlevy, 1st ed 1989, 2nd ed. 1999
The one book I know of that's still in print is Before the Kilt: How the Irish and Scots Dressed in the 16th Century by Gerald A. John Kelly. I haven't actually read it. I've heard it has some issues with the images being low resolution (probably because it was printed by a small press), but it does contain good primary source research. The only place I know of that sells legitimate sewing patterns is Reconstructing History. I haven't actually bought any, but I have heard that their sewing directions are not the easiest to follow, and some people have issues with the size grading. Their patterns for the wool garments are all based off of extant period garments. Based on more recent research, I don't their léine patterns are completely correct, but they are at least better than some of the léine patterns out there. (Avoid anyone who tells you to put drawstrings in the tops of the sleeves or that a man's léine should be hip-length.)

A couple of decent videos on 16th-early 17th c Irish dress:
Traditional Irish Clothing in the Gaelic Period
Depicting and Describing Dress in Early Modern Ireland by Dr. Katherine Bond
If you're planning on doing the 16th c, definitely check out Susan Flavin's research. It has great information on what types of textiles, dyes, and trims that were available in 16th c. Ireland. You can download a pdf of her dissertation here.
I'm sure you already know that 1400s-1600s is a long time period for dress history. Irish dress changed a lot during that period. If your goal is to make a single, well-researched outfit, I would recommend picking a period that's somewhere 1500s-1600. There are a lot fewer primary sources (extant garments, art, documents, etc) for 1400s Ireland. On the other hand if you enjoy making educated guesses, 1400s might be more fun. Just check out this neat 15th c. outfit from Strade Abbey, County Mayo:
Tumblr media
If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask. I can't guarantee I have answers, but I do have a bunch of random Irish-dress-history related articles for this period on my computer.

My Kavetham HCs
Met when Al Haitham started at the Akademiya and Kaveh was in third year (out of total four)
Like my uni, the Akademiya has a mentorship program for the first years. Kaveh signed up as a mentor as a good deed for his 'dear juniors' (he did not think it through) and Al Haitham is forced to participate because he's too antisocial
They get paired up together
At first they really don't like each other but Kaveh is too stubborn to give up, so they have to put up with each other
Al Haitham gets into too many fights with his first year roommate for being 'weird' and 'mean' (he's just too honest)
He asks to stay with Kaveh because he lives in his own flat off campus
(Cyno tells Kaveh to refuse. Says it's the worst idea ever. Kaveh is too blinded by his image as a good senior to listen).
Weirdly, even though they do not get along, they are great roommates. Al Haitham does the cleaning and Kaveh does all the cooking, Kaveh does household repairs and Al Haitham keeps on top of the shopping. They don't really argue over using the bathroom because Kaveh is a night owl and gets up much later than Al Haitham
They begin to appreciate each other a little more
Al Haitham works out in the garden and Kaveh joins him (he takes up the claymore to one up Al Haitham's sword. Al Haitham starts dual wielding to one up Kaveh. Neither of them admit to any of this)
Kaveh realises his physical attraction early on, basically as soon as he sees Al Haitham. He ignores it when he realises how annoying Al Haitham is. It's reawakened when he notices Al Haitham buying the groceries to Kaveh's preference, and then it is deepened when Al Haitham gives him constructive notes on his projects (he's starting to see past his bluntness)
I hc that Al Haitham can be pretty oblivious and he doesn't clock into physical attraction until they are living together. But he starts feeling romantic attraction earlier on, because he does actually like arguing with Kaveh and he's impressed that he can keep up in debates
They are basically on the cusp of getting together when Kaveh graduates. They live off campus but Kaveh wants to move out of the city, which Al Haitham doesn't understand. For once they don't argue but they are upset with each other, and when Kaveh leaves they don't say good bye properly.
Al Haitham graduates two years later and sells the flat they had shared. He sends Kaveh all the money, which is a gesture they both appreciate. Al Haitham gets his high paying job at the Akademiya and buys his very cushy house
Kaveh uses the money Al Haitham sent as a 'good faith' payment to prove he's good for the loan he takes on Dori's Palace. He is not actually in the financial position to follow through, and so he is bankrupted and in debt by the end of the project
Homeless, he stays with Cyno for a while. Cyno tells him to ask Al Haitham for help since technically Al Haitham owes him, but Kaveh disagrees and says it would diminish his generosity from when Al Haitham needed help
Al Haitham finds out about Kaveh's troubles and writes to him. They have been writing to each other sporadically, but they haven't met in person since Kaveh moved away. Al Haitham invites him to see his nice house, Kaveh sees through the offer but goes anyway
Al Haitham never offers Kaveh to live with him. He makes Kaveh ask to stay for a few days in order to stop intruding on Cyno, and then accepts him long term.
Al Haitham gets Kaveh a key in his darshan:'s colours because he knows Kaveh cares about the aesthetics of that kind of thing. Kaveh buys the lion key ring when he accuses Al Haitham of being colour blind, always taking the wrong (or both) keys
Living together again is tense because of the new power dynamic and Kaveh being so sour over having to rely on Al Haitham, and Al Haitham is (though he won't admit it) still holding a grudge against Kaveh for moving out years prior
They still make good roommates, but they're back to square one in terms their actual dynamic. Both assume the other person lost feelings at some point, and Kaveh especially thinks Al Haitham is just lauding his success over him
(because Al Haitham "doesn't keep track of favours", Kaveh doesn't think he's just paying him back. But he also knows Al Haitham isn't one for kindness.)
((Al Haitham isn't letting him stay out of kindness but because he missed him!!! Neither of them will ever verbalise this))
Most of their antagonism towards the other is exaggerated, but they do bicker a lot. After the events of the Sumeru Archon Quest, Kaveh has a period of being even more convinced that Al Haitham keeps him around just to be condescending, but he starts to let go of that as he learns more about what happened during the takedown of the previous sages
For his part, Al Haitham doesn't even have time to wonder what Kaveh thinks of him because he's so busy as Acting Grand Sage
At this point in canon, they still haven't admitted their feelings. But the tension is so thick that it's one long look away from shattering entirely
By now, all of Kaveh's friends (Cyno, Tighnari etc) are aware that Kaveh is hiding how he feels with hostility and insecurity. No one has a good read on Al Haitham, but in reality he isn't trying to be secretive at all, he likes arguing and enjoys living with Kaveh, he's just currently too tired from all the crap he's had to do to have a conversation about it
I think they'll only get together once Kaveh gets over himself and is honest. Then Al Haitham will have to be direct instead very quietly being completely open about how he feels
They are just as insufferable as a couple :))

For Elizabeth (of York)’s personal needs, as might be expected, she lavished funds on clothing, jewels, silver, and gold ... Also interesting for insights into her reign are the entertainments for which she paid and the loans she requested from her acquaintances. At wages of £3, 6s. 8d., annually, she employed three minstrels, Richard Denouse, Jayn Marcazin, and Marques Loryden. Members of the royal family seem to have shared each other’s minstrels since she rewarded those of the king and her two eldest surviving children. Evidence of this royal sharing seems to be supported by entries in the accounts of John Heron, Henry VII’s treasurer of the chamber. In them are several references to the king’s rewarding the queen’s minstrels and fiddlers in amounts ranging from 10s. to 40s.
... Returning to evidence of entertainments in Elizabeth’s privy purse accounts, she paid for the construction of an arbor in the little park at Windsor Castle so that she could hold an outdoor banquet there, and she later compensated the king’s painter, John Reynold, for drawings of beasts and other pleasures at the castle. The only entries referring to her gambling appear in October, which indicate she spent 13s. 4d. twice “playing at dice.” In addition, she owned greyhounds, for the upkeep of which she paid 2d. per day. The queens not only possessed greyhounds and hunted with bows and arrows during the summer progresses but also had lapdogs for their amusement. Finally, just a few weeks before her death, she rewarded a maid from Spain, who danced for her, with 4s. 4d.

The bank opened in ‘54, and had been recently remodeled. (Earlier design seen in ‘61.) Bank of Las Vegas, led by president E. Mothra vs. Godzilla, 1964
Tumblr media
Mothra, Mothra, Mothra! Ishiro Honda once again delivers a monster masterpiece, Mothra vs. Godzilla. The American version is Godzilla vs. the Thing
We were first introduced to the island god in 1961’s box office hit, Mothra. The giant moth is the peaceful protector of Infant Island and the earth if danger arises. We also met the twin fairies and the natives who guard their protector passionately. The Mothra song sung by the fairies is one of the most recognized tunes in the world (you can download it on iTunes).
Honda intended to show the kind of destruction nuclear testing can do, Infant Island in the movie, however, an undertone of industry greed surfaced as the main message that money and fame could corrupt men.
The Story
A typhoon, strikes Karuta Beach. A reporter, Ichiro Saki, and his photographer, Junko Nakanishi, go to Shizunoura to get photos of what damages was caused by the typhoon. Junko discovers an object floating in the water and wants to photograph it, then they receive word about a giant egg that washed ashore. They leave their location to investigate it and take the strange object with them.
Saki and Junko meet Professor Miura who is there examining the egg. A shady businessman named Kumayama stops Miura from working claiming the egg belongs to him. When asked how that is possible, the seaside village leader claims the egg washed onto their shore and it’s rightfully theirs, so he sold it to Kumayama for a large sum of money. Completely taken aback by the situation, Miura reluctantly leaves.
Saki, Junko, and Muira to a nearby hotel to discuss the egg situation. They see Kumayama sneak to a room; suspicious, Saki follows him to find out what’s going on. In the room, Kumayama meets with a financial investor, Jiro Torahata, about the egg. Pleased to know the egg now belonged to him, Torahata says he will construct a giant glass incubator to encase the egg and charge people fees to view it. The men are interrupted by twin fairies from Infant Island, or Mothra Island in the American version, who say the egg is rightfully theirs and they want it back. Torahata and Kumayama try to capture the twins, but they escape. Saki enters the room upon hearing the ruckus and recognizes Torahata.
Saki regroups with Junko and Miura and tells them about Torahata’s background about being a wealthy investor who owns Product Enterprises. The fairies come forward and introduce themselves. They explain that they pleaded with Torahata and Kumayama to return Mothra’s egg, The Thing in the American version. The fairies take the three to see Mothra and they agree to help by persuading the bad men to return the egg.
Tumblr media
The following day, Saki, Junko, and Muira visit Kumayama and Torahata and explain to them the egg doesn’t belong to them and it rightfully belongs to Mothra. The bad men sarcastically tell Saki to get a power of attorney from Mothra to convince them the egg is The Thing’s property. Junko opens a decorative box to reveal the fairies inside. They ask the bad men to return the egg to them, but the response they get is an offer to buy them from Saki for a large sum of money. Saki and his friends leave feeling defeated. They regroup in a bar to come up with another plan to get the egg back. Realizing probability is hopeless, the fairies return home on Mothra’s back.
The village fishermen visit Kumayama with demands for money owed them for the egg and land rent. Kumayama turns them away telling them he’ll pay them later. He calls Torahata to tell him to pay what he owes, but said he won’t because he needs the money, instead, he convinces Kumayama to accept a loan he can repay from his share in the company stock.
Tumblr media
The following day, Saki and Junko visit Muira at his lab. Before they’re allowed in, they’re “washed” down because they were contaminated with radioactivity from the object Junko found in the water at the beach. Muira returns to examine the egg with Saki and Junko to check for radioactivity, but he’s stopped. Saki looks for Junko and finds looking at a beach some distance away. He calls her to leave but she refuses and tells him she sees the ground “bubbling.” Suddenly, Godzilla emerges and everyone runs to safety.
Saki and his friends fly to Mothra Island to ask for help; the natives refuse to because they wouldn’t return the egg. However, Mothra calls out to the twin fairies and they ask it fight Godzilla. Mothra agrees to and Saki and the team return home.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the defense force devises a defense strategy to defeat Godzilla hoping Mothra comes to their aid. Godzilla made it to the egg and begins destroying the incubator with its tail. He starts on the egg, and then Mothra arrives and a battle ensues.
Tumblr media
The fight is intense, Mothra uses all its energy and flies away to die atop the egg. The fairies take Saki, Junko, and Muira to the egg for it to hatch. When they arrive, Mothra has died and the twins begin chanting a song to encourage the larva to hatch. Surprisingly, twin larvae emerge and they fight Godzilla with their webbing. After the battle, the caterpillars swim back to Mothra Island.
The Reception
Mothra vs. Godzilla was released in Japan April 29, 1964. In May of the same year, Henry Saperstein acquired rights to the movie August 26, 1964 as Godzilla vs. the Thing.
Reviews for the Japanese version was great, except for the military scenes. Critics said the military appeared meek compared to previous movies. American critics gave decent reviews. The problem for them was that foreign actors wouldn’t appeal to a target audience that didn’t recognize them.
Dang. Harsh.
Final Word
This particular Godzilla film was one of the best Honda made. Two babies crawling on their bellies defeated the king and it was exciting to watch it happen. I love Godzilla, but the first thing that I thought of was: “ teamwork makes the dream work.”

YAKUZA - In the 1700's, the yakuza began organizing into families, and group members united with each other for mutual protection. They began to control booths at fairs and markets and developed a reputation for shoddy merchandise and deceptive salesmanship. They also played a role in Japan's gambling tradition. In the 1800's, the yakuza began to modernize, recruited members from construction and dock jobs, and even began to control the rickshaw business. Group members became involved in politics, taking sides with certain politicians and officials. They cooperated with the government so they could get official sanction or at least some freedom from the government. In the 1900's, American occupation forces in postwar Japan saw the yakuza as a primary threat to their work and realized they were well-organized and operated with support from some government officials. Between 1958 and 1963, the number of group members rose by more than 150 percent to 184,000. Approximately 5,200 yakuza gangs operating throughout Japan began to stake out their territories and violent gang wars occurred. These gangs controlled many businesses, engaged in sophisticated gambling and loan sharking activities, and invested heavily in sports and other entertainment. They also became involved in drugs, money lending, smuggling, and pornography. The structure of the yakuza is described, and the involvement of the yakuza in business and politics in contemporary Japan is discussed.

hey hey, do you mind sharing your akiyama headcanons? just saw ur tags talking abt how theyre dark and im very interested!!!! your fem ryuaki fuels me in ways i cannot describe and i havent even played dead souls FHKGJG and your tanimuras have my whole entire heart!!!
Oh wow first of all THANK YOU for the ask!! It's been only couple days since I've discovered I've had them disabled all this time so I'm very happy I noticed it before you found my blog (,:
I've already complained a bit on twt that when I've started to write down ryuaki headcanons, it prompted me to make a 35+ pages google doc with meta on both of them 😅 It pushed me to write more fun drafts tho, so all is well, but it won't fit in this post for sure ahbfght
But ofc, I will share a little about Shun specifically. (TW for implied SA)
Akiyama... I have complicated feelings about him, because on the one hand, he got betrayed by his closest people, lost all the standing in society and lived as a homeless person for a long time, and that's a big trauma to have. But on the other... He's got back up by a miracle, and now he's trying to recreate the miracle for others. He assumes the role of a judge for other people while himself being too young, too flawed, having black and white morals.
(In Y4 I downright despised Akiyama when he refused a loan to an abused woman on the basis that she didn't want to apply for sex work, but in the same substory gave some cringefail guy 4 chances to complete the test just because it was amusing.)
But I've just completed Y5, and it gave me lots of food for thought.
First of all, from what I see, Shun here was written (rewritten?) as a more sympathetic character. For example, now when it's implied that he's gonna make some woman "use her body" for the loan, it means he's sending her to work on the construction site. Well, alright. I'll take the bad taste joke over previous cases.
There's also an important quest when Akiyama meets his former boss, who not only initially fired him on false accusations, which started his downfall, but also married his ex-fiancée. And Akiyama finally admits that at first, he wanted to use his position as a loan shark to be selfish and to get revenge, but got disgusted with himself after seeing some humanity and principles in the former boss.
So, here finally comes self-awareness about his actions. Interesting tidbit.
Another big part of the character building we see now: when he is alone in Osaka, without Hana around, he's a complete mess. His new office is dirty, he barely eats some instant ramen and clearly just uses the place to escape Tokyo and the responsibilities he created himself. If in Y4 we saw him within his element, managing Elise and doing loan business (with a messy table because he's just soooo quirky and lazyyy \s), then in Y5 we get to see a bit of what's inside his head. And it's not pretty.
He's clearly distancing himself - from Hana and his new yakuza friends, because they have their own lives to care about. (Tanimura too mayhaps, but this is a separate friendship that I also like to talk about a lot)
Aaand he escapes to his ugly nook to have his ugly depressive thoughts. Can't let them witness it, can he? They'd lose all the respect for him.
At the same time, he throws himself into helping Haruka with passion, because that's the thing he actually cares about, for the first time in a couple years. (He also provides her with some much-needed parenting about the importance of being selfish, because, being raised by Kiryu, she's entirely too self-sacrificing.)
And suddenly - he's lively and energetic again, he's bouncing off other characters, he risks his life for what he deems right, he's helpful, organizing, charming. He's everywhere.
(But he's also afraid to acknowledge that he's got too close to people again. So he's ready to literally die for them and Haruka's dream, but avoids calling them friends, settling for "acquaintances")
Not much needed to imagine that, after everything settles down, he falls apart again. Because in his head he's never really needed or too important for the people around. They carry on with their life and plans. Such as Eri, Arai, Yasuko. Even Hana got fed up and left at some point, and has been keeping him at an arm's length since. (Good for her, that was unhealthy)
He's not only not that interesting, his trauma is "ugly" (by his self-admission). It's not heroic and it's very mundane. There's no clear villains to blame, like with Majima's torture in Y0.
It's just - waking up is hard. Akiyama can't see the point in much of what he's doing anymore. Money is just paper for him now, they might have bought him the freedom of choice, but somehow it didn't help. Even with all the financial help to struggling people he can't buy healing for himself. Most alive he felt actually was when he lost the money briefly in Y4 - it made him work to get them back again.
Now it gets a bit tricky, hence the TW.
I think that a lot of things about him actually make sense, if while living on the streets, he had it bad enough to the point of selling himself for food. Like, I don't want to make it into torture porn or downplay the traumatic experience of homelessness overall, but something for sure ruined him and his self-perception. That's why he's bouncing between playing a self-righteous entity and hating himself.
Aside from his crippling depression from all this being shunned deep inside and not addressed, there's the attitude about sex work I've mentioned he has in Y4. He is distancing himself from the situation yet again. A little bit of a trick to calm his mind: "If I treat it like every other job, it won't feel as dehumanizing applied to myself". And also: "Well, I was not above doing that! I was not too proud to do it! Why should anyone else be?"
Now, of course he doesn't want to subject his former boss (and, by extension, Eri) to the same hardships. Even though he is, actually, a bit of a cruel person.
So here's Akiyama in Y4-5. Not super pretty and kind of greasy, but nevertheless charming, gallant and crazy smart. Fighting and dancing and singing and networking equally well. VERY annoying, because he considers himself an expert in all things he read about even once (I also hc him eidetic memory, which makes it worse). And with every year getting more secluded and miserable.
That being said, fem ryuaki has slightly different tone even in all-fem AU because of gender expectations. Akiyama's upbringing for example.
I hc his parents seeing him as this very "proper" son, encouraging his risk-taking neurodivergent activity ONLY when it helped to build onto that image. They happily bragged about their son - with prestigious business degree, good banking job and pretty fiancée. But ofc, when it's all came crashing down, they didn't want to hear about him anymore. Nowadays they acknowledge his existance with some disdain, because they care about reputation more then about him or his wealth. And he has some "disgusting jobs, no respectable friends and no wife".
(It's all kinda complicated from both sides, mb I'll get deeper into it in fanfic that I'm writing)
(And forgive me for saying this, but fem Akiyama is more interesting for me to write in this narrative, because she needed to balance fitting "proper little quiet Japanese woman" with her loud banking career, and while she was always openly feminine, she was never proper or quiet "enough". And now she's "not enough" among actual living legends.)
Well, that's all I have to say for now!
I'm always open for further questions and discussions 😊

Language Construction Kit and The Art of Language Invention. A personal comparison
First off, this is not an Essay by definition of my high school. This is a rambling thought dump from a man who still feels novice in the craft of artificial languages. that said, I have recently read both Mark Rosenfelder's series to (somewhat) completion and David J. Peterson's book. I will say again that this is a personal opinionated take rather than an objective critique. I also invite both authors and readers to give their opinions as well. That said, let me compare.
The Language Construction Kit (LCK) was the first book I read on the subject of conlanging. at the time I was even more of a Novice so most of the terms flew over my preteen head. but after exposing myself to linguistic material of all types, I can say for certain that it is a good explanation of the technical terms one would stumble across in their research for inspiration. not only that but it being the first in a series of (so far) four other books means overall that there is a lot of ground to cover. those other three being the Advanced Language Construction (ALC), Conlanger's Lexipedia, and Syntax construction. However, it can be inconvenient to need all four books to experience the full range of advice the author has to offer (especially if one relies on Library Loan-outs, like myself).
Personally, I favor the Lexipedia because it is the only Rosenfelder book that my Library owns (for now). showing me the full range of semantics and meanings to make my conlangs' vocabulary unique. a close second would be the Syntax Construction Kit, for the one list that shows all the different ways grammar could be marked on a language. The LCK and ALC are also good for going through the overall basics of ones own conlang. however I have found sources online that cover some of the subjects in the same way. still nice to have around for a check list though.
The Art of Language invention is the second book I have read on the subject. What feels to me like a personal exploration of language creation from a creative view rather than a technical one. also covers things I feel are missed in the Rosenfelder series, one of those subjects being grammatical evolution which personally interests me. the book also goes over some (hopefully not dated) real world references as examples or inspiration. Such as explaining the creation of words from old ones like calling a pizza topping that falls off at the last moment a "DiCaprio". Or how a certain hotel has lead to "-gate" deriving as "a scandal associated with the word". I feel that these references work for approaching unusual features in a language in a way that makes sense. the conclusion at the end is also inspiring for comparing language construction to art, in that art can have many genres. Naturalism being used for paintings and certain conlangs leading to the questions of what a cubist conlang would be like? then asking if a popular piece of media had its own (sets of) conlang(s). I am glossing over most of it.
The biggest strength of the Art of Language construction, though, in my personal opinion, would be that of the four chapters dividing the book, each one ends with an example of the author's own process of approaching said subject from their own works. The phonology of Dothraki, the Vocabulary of Irathient, the Grammar of High Valyrian, and the Writing system of Castithan. reading these sections makes me feel that I too can find a way to approach whatever obstacles arise from my own works.
That is all I have to say, each book has its strengths and weaknesses, but I consider all of them to be useful in the self-education of conlanging. I do recommend them; I also recommend searching through linguistic sources mentioned in the books as further education.
Thanks for reading, and till next time... ;).

Go Through Me (Part 2) II Santiago Garcia x GN!Reader
Rating: Mature atm, will be 18+ later
Warnings (this chapter): spoilers for the movie, that’s about it I think?
Description: The CIA catches wind of Pope and Co.’s ill-fated South American adventure. Now they’re hunting the boys down. Unfortunately for you, you are currently sleeping with one of said boys.
A/N: nothing too fancy this chapter, just some Car Conversation
Part 1
Tumblr media
It’s quiet in the car. You stare out the window as Santiago merges onto the interstate, and when it becomes clear he isn’t going to say anything, you go “Soooo….”
You turn in time to see his hand tighten around the wheel. “Yeah,” he breathes out. You tilt your head, waiting.
“You remember that final job I told you about? Before I moved back to the States?”
“Yeah, the drug lord you were gonna catch. You told me it was a bust; a rival gang took him out before your team could get to him,” you say.
It was a few months after that you met him, actually. You kept seeing him at the coffee shop you always went to, and he’d always take a corner table, always order the same plain black coffee, always look like the saddest motherfucker on earth reading the driest-looking military books.
When you got behind him in line one day you overheard him ask the barista about their speciality coffee drinks. He seemed flustered, rubbing the back of his neck as he listened to the barista list the different mochas and lattes.
“The Honeybee is pretty good,” you had interjected. He turned at you when you spoke and you had looked at the menu board to keep from blushing. Still, you could feel his gaze on you like a laser beam. “It’s not too sweet, but it has a nice vanilla taste to it. Especially with oatmilk, but that might be a little wild for your first time.”
When you looked back at him, he gave you a smile that made you immediately sure this guy fucked. He ordered what you had suggested, and came up to your table later to tell you he liked it. It took a few more lattes before you asked him out, and a few lattes more before he agreed.
Santi in the present isn’t smiling. He works his bottom lip through his teeth and sighs.
“There was no rival gang,” he says. “Me and a couple buddies, we went down to his house in the jungle. It was shittily guarded so, we went ahead with the op. On our own.” He looks over at you, then back at the road. “Without government approval. We got Lorea, I got Lorea, and we uh-” He squints. “We also took 250 million dollars of the money he had stashed.”
You gape at him. “You have 250 million dollars?!” you choke out.
“That’s what you got from that?” Santiago raises an eyebrow at you. He looks more tense than you’ve seen him in a long time, but your comment seems to take him out a bit.
“I mean, yeah??” You raise your eyebrows back at him. “Santi, we live in a one room apartment with a view of a construction site, I have student loans up to my ears, and you’ve had two hundred and fifty million dollars this entire time?”
He turns on his left turn signal. “Yeah okay, I hear ya,” he says as he looks over his shoulder to slide into the next lane.
It’s a few moments before he continues speaking. “The job went bad. We ended up trekking through the Andes, lost most of the money on the way, and-” Santiago stares hard at the road in front of him. “We lost someone. It-it was my fault, you know, I convinced him to do the mission and everything, and I just…” He trails off, shaking his head.
You reach over to rest your hand on his thigh. He clears his throat and passes a hand across his mouth, shaking his head again like he’s trying to clear bad memories.
“Anyway, the rest of the money went to his family. I don’t have it,” he finishes. He shifts slightly away from you so you remove your hand.
You rub at your own thighs, unsure how to respond. Santi rarely opened up like this. The past is the past, he would always say. Only after nightmares or when you worked him over particularly good in the bedroom would you ever see him this vulnerable.
“Okay,” you say gently, trying to telegraph understanding. “So you killed this guy Lorea and took his money, but you lost it and now, what? The government suddenly decided to care?”
“They didn’t know,” he says. “We kept it all secret. I set it up to look like a rival gang to begin with, so the story was all lined up. But, I don’t know. Something changed. The call was from one of my guys, he said the CIA had been asking him and some of the others questions, and then late last night he came home to find his apartment trashed.”
You wonder if the same thing is happening to your apartment right now. You decide not to ask. “So now we’re running.”
“No, now I’m running. You are going to a safe house until I can get IDs or something for you so they don’t know who you are.”
“Santi…” You lean back against the headrest and roll your eyes. Sometimes your boyfriend was really fucking dense. “Even if I wanted to do what you just said, I would still end up alone someplace with nobody I knew, worried about you, and having to go by a fake name the rest of my life!” You place a hand on his shoulder and shake him lightly. “I like my name. And I like you, dumbass. So where you go, I go.”
He mutters something in Spanish under his breath before gripping your hand. “I never meant for this to happen,” he says apologetically.
You nod, interlacing your fingers. “I know. So where are we going?”
Santiago pulls your hand to his lips, then lets go to grip the wheel again. “We’re gonna go see my boys.”
