Do you respond to comments? I do. Especially because I write for a smaller fandom, most of the commenters are my friends.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Ya girl wrote MCD so that's pretty angsty: love is so short (forgetting is so long) (QAF)

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my recent fics have happy endings (usually at a party, call it my signature move). I'll link carried me with you (QAF) because people said the ending made them cry (in a happy way). And it's not at a party!

Do you get hate on fics? Not hate but some people were unhappy with I crossed all the lines (linked above) because I left the couple non-monogamous and I got negative comments in the bookmark of my series Exposure (QAF) because it is similar to a friend's series (never mind me mentioning her by name in my author's notes and having her blessing and encouragement to write the series) and because it has an open ending (not with regards to the couple but with regards mental health stuff... which is realistic)

Do you write smut? Yes. I enjoy reading it so I figure I should write what I enjoy. One of the drawbacks of writing in a small fandom where so many of my readers are friends is that I do sometimes hold back on the smutty filth I would write because I can literally picture my readers' faces and that's a bit uncomfortable.

Craziest crossover: I'm writing a QAF / RPDR crossover fic right now ("writing" in the very loosest definition of the word).

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of.

Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but I would love that. What an honor.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Er. Yes. I wrote [redacted] with [redacted] but then [redacted] happened and yada yada yada my name isn't on that fic anymore. I'm not anti-co-writing. But, I would need to know my co-writer much better in advance if I were to agree to it again in the future.

All time favorite ship? Brian/Justin aka Britin from QAF. I also LOVE reading Aziraphale/Crowley from GO but haven't really written for them (one drabble and one ficlet).

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I've Loved Her in Secret, I've Loved Her Out Loud WILL GET FINISHED (manifesting) soooo not that. And there's a CMBYN RPF fic that is unfinished and will remain that way and I'm okay with that (ie I don't want to finish it)

What are your writing strengths? FEELINGS. My bread and butter.

What are your writing weaknesses? I think I'm getting better at dialogue, I used to really struggle with it. So I'm going to say... plot? That's such a weird thing to say, but I am shit at doing complex plots.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? If it makes sense, do it! Or even words in another language - I know I often slip Italian and Yiddish into conversation here and there if the other language captures a certain je ne sais quoi that english doesn't. (see what I did there?)

First fandom you wrote in? Ya girl was writing Lois/Clark | Superman fic (het fic? by this queer? more likely than you think!) for Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the 90s on yahoo listservs.

Favorite fic you've written? I'm very proud of you're like a tattoo (linked above). I'm also proud of beautiful like the darkness between the fireflies some post-canon, modern setting, exes-to-lovers, soft QAF goodness. And I'm also ridiculously happy with Chasing Dragons which is a fanfic of a fanfic but I think stands alone. I feel like I captured the way one of my all-time favorite fic writers writes my all-time favorite characters and I made her ridiculously happy with it and yeah.

Armie arrives to Crema to film a movie. He knows the routine, he's done this many times. Except not with Luca. Not in picturesque Italy. And especially not with some charming actor called Timothée Chalamet.

Armie never thought about questioning his sexuality; he liked women. Growing up, being gay wasn't acceptable in his family and when he got a life of his own, he was so used to how things were he didn't dare to doubt anything. Until Timmy came.

How To Save A Life

I've written and deleted this post on and off for the past twelve hours. But I feel like this is something fic writers should know. Specific writere but also across the entire fanfic spectrum.

Last night I wasn't okay. Tumblr will delete this if I go into too much detail. I will say that started printing my advanced directive to fill out. It's to prevent being put on life support.

I decided to check my AO3 notifications and saw updates from @timotheemonamour @onlyastoryteller @cumpeachx and @ohhyellowbird. Instead of doing what I intended, I immersed myself in these worlds for about an hour.

It doesn't seem like much - to make it through a single night. But literally nothing and no one could help until I randomly read fandom updates.

I quit my kidney medication. I have jaundiced eyes. I weigh 97 pounds. There's nothing anyone can do to stop or help me. My parents even acknowledged that.

But your words, your worlds you create, how immensely deep they are - they're so much more powerful than you may know. And I think acknowledging that is so important.

Thank you for letting me live in those pain free worlds for a bit.

I started writing in the CMBYN fandom late in 2019 and finished my first fic in 2020 (Flo’s Shows). I first watched and wrote for Good Omens in 2020. It’s been a hell of a hellish year and fandom and writing has been one of my outlets. Fandom doesn’t exist without people and there are so many who have come into my life this year as I (essentially) entered two new fandoms. The problem with lists (when one cannot consult AO3 for reference) is I’m bound to leave someone out. So please know this is an incomplete list. I do want to thank those who’ve encouraged me, cheered me on, dragged me along when I was stumbling, and have just provided a place to talk and vent and laugh (oh my gosh the laughs!). As soon as Luca called, “Cut!” Armie knew something was wrong. Timothée still hadn’t stood up from his crouch by the fireplace and had his face buried in his hands. Armie could hear soft sobs coming from the boy and knew that this wasn’t just from the scene.

Luca made a move to walk over to Timmy but Armie held him back. He knew that this wasn’t something Luca could fix.

Armie walked over to him hesitantly, not wanting to startle Timmy and upset him anymore than he already was. Though Armie was confused on the surface, he was dreading deep down that he knew what the answer was.

“Timmy?” he whispered, crouching beside him. He could hear shallow breaths coming from the boy next to him and rested his hand on his shoulder. “C’mon, breathe with me.”

Timmy raised his head suddenly and he looked wrecked. His face was red, and his eyes were swollen with tears. He had his hand on his chest and couldn’t breathe.

Armie grabbed his hand and put it on his own chest, making him count his inhales and exhales till Timmy got his breathing under control.

Armie helped him stand up, ignoring everyone in the room looking at them, and took him to another room after receiving a knowing look from Luca.

Once they were standing alone, Armie pulled Timmy into a hug, his arms around Timmy’s waist. Timmy buried his face into his neck and his body shook with contained sobs.

“Shh,” he whispered, “It’s okay.”

After a few minutes, all Timmy had was silent tears running down his face. Knowing they had to talk, Armie reluctantly withdrew from the embrace, but didn’t let go of his hand. Timmy wouldn’t meet his eyes, looking firmly at the ground.

“What brought this on, Timmy? I thought we talked about this the other day. We will still talk on the phone and see each other all the time. It’s going to be okay. We will get through this,” Armie says.

“That is easy for you to say,” Timmy remarks, wiping his tears furiously, “You have something to go back to, a wife and kids. I have nothing but a small apartment in New York. What am I supposed to do?” his voice cracking at the end.

His eyes were bright with anger but also swimming in desperation, eyes filling up with tears again. “Armie, I can’t go on with my life and just forget about what happened here.” Timmy was looking at him, seeming to search for something in his face that would give away how he was he feeling.

“Timmy, we have to move on. We can’t just act like we live here our whole lives. We can’t get stuck on this. We can do this and go back to living our lives,” Armie stresses. He doesn’t even believe himself. He knew from the beginning, when he interrupted Timmy’s piano lesson, that this wasn’t like his regular roles. They had something special.

“Look me in the eyes and tell me that you actually believe that,” Timmy demands. He’s angry, oh is he angry, but he is so beautiful. His hair is a mess and his long-sleeved shirt is messed up and a couple buttons have come undone. Despite the way this conversation is going, he wants to kiss him so bad.

“I. can’t. do. that! Timmy, I want to give you what you want so bad.” And he does, and he knows, eventually, he will. It’s inevitable, but he can’t fathom what the consequences will be in the end. “You just know right now I can’t do that.”

After this statement, Timmy seems to deflate. He starts to retreat into himself but Armie won’t let him. “Timmy, come here.”

Timmy steps up to him and Armie grabs him and pulls him close and just holds him. “We will get through this. I love you so much,” he whispers, laying a soft kiss on Timmy’s shoulder.

“I love you too,” he whispers back, squeezing him a little tighter.
