Hi hello how are youuuuu? I’ve been so busy but I’m finally all caught up (again), then I realized a new chapter will be up today (yay) so I’ll only speak about the elephant in the room in case the next chapter confirms any more of what I have in mind.

First of all, I can’t believe everything went down the way it did. I always knew Namjoon was a snake, but damn. I think the worst part about what he did to y/n is the fact he didn’t do it because he had some sort of grand plan in mind akin to world domination. No. He simply did it for fun. To fuck with her. Like a kid doing an experiment, and y/n was his lab rat. I’m glad Minjeong and Yoongi intervened when they did because it’s honestly crazy to think about how far Namjoon has and was willing to go with things.

Realistically speaking, Namjoon would be dumb to tell Hoseok he’s been having an affair with y/n. But the more I think about it, he literally loses nothing from telling Hoseok about y/n’s plans to escape. Affair aside, y/n confided in Namjoon about so much up until the very end and I feel like Namjoon is petty and reckless enough to use that to his advantage for another one of his games. Which makes me wonder will everything eventually come to light? I feel like Namjoon shouldn’t get away with the shit he pulled, then again any of the brothers (sans Yoongi, but especially Hoseok) finding out would be a death sentence for y/n.

Speaking of Hoseok: “he's good at pretending nothing is wrong for the sake of seeing how long you'll go on lying to him.” Oof I won’t lie. I got chills reading this part. It never occurred to me that Hoseok might be pretending not to know everything. With the way his mood changes so easily at the slightest things when it comes to y/n, I can’t imagine him allowing more substantial issues to fly under the radar. Then again, this is the guy who single-handedly kidnapped y/n while she was under the nose of her previous masters. He’s been incredibly manipulative from the start, that much we know for sure.

Namjoon would have definitely continued what he was doing if it weren't for Yoongi and Minjeong. Y/N would have never been brave enough to confess her feelings to him if it weren't because of them. Sadly things turned out the way they did but it's for the best because only god knows how long Namjoon would have continued messing with her otherwise.

Namjoon may or may not say something. If he knows what's good for him he won't otherwise he'll get the ass whooping of his life from his brother but he's confident that outside of that Hoseok would never detach himself from him. Hoseok is good at playing aloof for his own gain but how far will he go? before jake knew it, he was already leaving the bar, chasing after you to your car, but when he saw you just sitting in the driver’s seat, he was relieved that you hadn’t gone home yet. but obviously he left his date hanging in the hard deck, but in all honesty, he only gives a shit about you, and you know he does, he’s just so poor with showing it, obviously. 

before you knew it, he got into the passenger seat of your car, still wiping your tears, all you could do was stay silent, because you knew that if you spoke, you’d break down and fully expose the way you’ve felt about hangman in these past 3 years that you’ve known him. 

“look,” jake starts, “you don’t need to say anything, but i’m sorry cloudy, i truly am, i fucked up, i know that, but i really thought you moved on from me, i thought the thing we has, was done and dusted, but clearly not, as it seems” he chokes out, his eyes also filling up with tears. 

all you could do was look at him, seeing how he’s so comfortable with telling you how he feels, but yet you’re still so angry with him with the stunt he pulled back in the bar, you really want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but you can’t. 

“get out of my car, jake.” you said, your voice breaking in the process. 

“what?” 

“you heard me, get out of my car, i want to go home, alone” 

“just hear me out, cloudy?”

“i already did, and i don’t want to be around you right now, or maybe ever” you’d say, gripping onto the steering wheel tightly, trying incredibly hard not to slap him in the face.

jake left the bar without saying goodbye to his own date and the rest of the crew, he really needed to figure out his feelings for you and needed to get you back somehow. 

for the next few weeks, you gave him the cold shoulder, even though he sent you flowers every second day to say how sorry he is. 

but when you all have a day off from training, because it was cancelled due to the weather, you’re sat at home, reading a book as the rain pours onto the tin roof you have, you’re quite calm, until you hear a knock at your door. 

“it’s open!” you called out, because usually it’s phoenix and bob wanting to come over for a few drinks, but instead, you’re shocked to who you see walk into you living room. 

it’s jake, drenched in water, the flowers he has in his hands, are a bit fucked up, but you’ve got all the other flowers he’s given you in vases. 

“jake, what are you doing here?” you’d ask, a little bit concerned since he was saturated.

“um, i wanted to talk?” he’d reply, placing the flowers onto your dining table. 

“i told you, i didn’t want to talk” you’d say, before walking to your bedroom, where there was a spare change of clothes for him, since you’ve slept together a few times.

it’s good to be the reason that he’s laughing again. 

you handed him a spare change of clothes, as he mouthed a thank you before he walked back into your room. he comes back out all dry, except for his hair.

- Scar's the type of guy to prefer more simple stuff, he wouldn't go all out on Valentines but he would still do his best to make it special.

- He'd get you your favorite chocolates and just a simple Valentines card he made for you, the card had a very sweet paragraph that explained how much Scar loved you

- If you wanted to go out on a date, Scar would surprise you with a simple yet cute picnic date on a spot he figured you liked. He had also picked up some flowers to give to you, the flowers just so happened to be your favorites aswell!

- If you wanted to just stay at home, Scar wouldn't mind at all. He'd still get you flowers though, he couldn't just not get you anything for Valentines. For the rest of the day, you two just mostly spent time together in bed cuddling.

- When I say this man will spoil you, he will go ALL out.

- You would wake up to a whole feast of all the different foods you like, it was practically enough to be considered as three meals.

- He'd definitely also have made a whole build just for you, most likely a huge build of a teddy bear that held a heart that had the words: "I love you!"

- You think that's all Doc got you? Oh hell no. He got you a whole bouquet of flowers, your favorite chocolates, a small version of the teddy bear he made but it's actually a stuffed teddy bear and much more.

- This man takes Valentines as an excuse to spoil you even more than he usually does, but he still makes sure tone it down a bit if you tell him it's too much already

- If you were fine with going out on a date outside, you bet Doc would bring you to a place you've always wanted to go to or would you bring you to a fancy restaurant

- If you just wanted to stay at home, Doc would try to persuade you first but would soon give up as he respected your decision. That didn't mean though that he wasn't going to still try his best to spoil you, but at the end of the day you both just cuddled together in bed after a long day of Doc spoiling you <3

Rendog

- Ren would be a mix of both Scar and Doc honestly, he'd try his best to make Valentines both extravagant while still trying to make it simple enough to your liking

- Just like Scar, Ren would wake up earlier to make you your favorite food for breakfast. He'd try to make a cute little design with the food, but would fail a bit but it's not like you minded.

- Like Doc, Ren would also spoil you with gifts such as, your favorite flowers, favorite chocolates, a stuffed animal that just so happened to be your favorite animal and a lot more things

- Ren wouldn't mind at all whether or not you wanted to go out or just stay at home, he respects your decisions.

- If you wanted to go out, Ren would be all for it. He'd take you out on a nice dinner date at a place where it just has the most wonderful view. And of course, the food was but your favorite.

- If you wanted to just stay at home, Ren would be fine with that too! He'd happily bring you to you two's shared bed and cuddle you the whole time, he would also definitely be all up for just a simple conversation. He loves you and will always respect what you want <3

Bdubs

- This man will not let you get out of bed, like at ALL.

- As soon as you woke up and tried to stand up, Bdubs was there to stop you by pouncing onto you with his full body. You may or may not have hit your head as this happened, which Bdubs apologized profusely for and made it up with kisses

- After that happened, he still would not let you get up. He was not going to budge, not even if you give him puppy eyes or try to persuade him with.. Ways...

- You wanna eat? Bdubs will bring a bed tray with your favorite food, it also had some of your favorite flowers in a vase as it was one of Bdubs' gifts for you today.

- You wanna go out? Too bad, Bdubs will stay laying ontop of you so that you can't move. You don't exactly have a choice since Bdubs was ontop of you, so you just had to give in.

- You wanna have a date? Consider a bed date that's filled with cuddling and kisses, probably some other things aswell but we'll not get on that subject yet

- Where's your gifts? Don't worry, Bdubs would hand you all the gifts he got for you for Valentines. It consisted a bunch of your favorite stuff, he even went out of his way to learn how to create an origami version of your favorite animal!

- You two ended the day with cuddling of course, it's just a necessary to do every night!

Grian

- Grian doesn't try to go too eccentric on Valentines, but you bet he's not going to stop his mischievous nature.

- You two would be doing something sweet as making Valentines cookies, which would end up getting a bunch of flour on the kitchen and on both you and Grian. Both of you would be giggling your butts off as an accidental flour spill on Grian turned into a whole flour war, it looked liked winter in the Kitchen afterwards. You both agreed to just leave it for tomorrow as you both continued on with Valentines!

- Grian probably would prefer to just stay at home, but he wouldn't mind taking you out on a cute date. Maybe a stroll around the server, holding hands and happily talking while the other listens

- Meanwhile if you didn't mind also staying at home, then you bet you both would be playing with Maui and Pearl. You two would be sitting down on the ground as both cats got equal attention from the both of you, both you and Grian definitely would end up having to chase after the cats soon enough

- If you wanted to just sit down and chat with Grian, he'd be good with that! He'd willingly listen to you talk with admiration in his eyes, he just loves you so much ahhsbshdhb

- By the end of the day, Grian would have his wings wrapped around you while you two cuddled on the couch with both Maui and Pearl on both of your guys' laps. Just a sweet wholesome moment <3

Xisuma

- While yes, Xisuma does remember about Valentines. He struggles to find enough time to spend time with you on this day of love, he would feel so bad because he couldn't spend all that much time with you. He would apologize profusely everytime he would have to get pulled into something important, you of course would re-assure him to calm him down.

- Xisuma would always be trying to make it quick so that he can spend time with you, he would also make sure to grab you some gifts when he just so happens to pass by a store that had some things you liked

- Once Xisuma finally had the chance to spend time with you, he would rush home as fast as he could. He would be at the door with him panting like crazy as he ran as fast as he could back home, he could've flown back home with his elytra but he kind of forgot about that..

- After catching his breath, he'd give you the gifts he got for you looking slightly bashful. You were surprised to say the least, but you weren't ungrateful. Xisuma was definitely getting some sweet kisses, and a lot of them.

- If you told Xisuma you wanted to go out on a date, he'd bring you out to a slightly high hill and would sit down with you to watch the sunset. After, you both would then stargaze in peace, chatting from time to time as you both started up at the sky. Xisuma would definitely start naming different stars off of you, even using some of your nicknames just to be a bit funny

- If you wanted to stay in though, Xisuma was fine with that! You both would do some sweet yet simple couple stuff like learning how to do different things, Xisuma would definitely try to teach you how to play the guitar.

- And of course, ending the day with cuddles and sweet kisses in bed. Xisuma would have his armour off so that you could actually feel the warmth from his body and just actually feel his touch from his skin, overall it was just a sweet and simple day <3

Whew wow of all the climaxes we’ve had so far (and there’s been so many!) I think Minjeong’s arrival might be in the top 5. How unexpectedly things are have been heating up. In hindsight, of course y/n’s chance of escape would come through in the form of another vampire. I couldn’t even begin to wrap my head around how she’d be able to escape on her own. Although it seems that all the vampires we’ve met so far are pretty fucked up in their own form of hierarchy and loyalty to their own blood/race, but who’s to say there aren’t any truly good ones around? Minjeong just might be the answer.

Hoseok told y/n about his ex but he obviously didn’t go into explicit details. Was in Namjoon or Jimin who gave the tea on how their parents had to intervene to separate Hoseok from Minjeong? I can’t exactly remember but regardless she sure knows how to make an entrance. Which begs the question: why? She went through hell with Hoseok and fought hard to get away from him, so why come back? Is it a coincidence that Minjeong happened to run into the Bangtan clan at the mall or did someone tip her off? Is she really that selfless about y/n’s to the point she’s willing to put her own safety at risk again?

I’m most curious as to what she meant by “He's not who you think he is.“ As in he’s not the loving boyfriend figure/hero everyone thinks he is? Well, we've already established that, however, I can’t help but feel she’s implying something more. The more I think about it who exactly are the Bangtan clan? They're in the business of selling their saliva drug but where does their hierarchy stand when it comes to other vampires? Maybe that’s not too important to this story, or maybe it is. We’ll find out well enough I’m sure. Lastly, y/n’s nausea...she’s not pregnant is she? Because that would really put a wrench in her plans. I know Hoseok doesn’t wrap it up but I also know anxiety can be nausea inducing, so let me not get too ahead of myself. I could be reading too much into things but you have a way of getting the gears in my head turning.

With that said, I’ve been so busy these past few weeks but it was really fun to binge read the latest chapters of Covetous. I’m always so excited to see which direction the story takes. Thank you for writing such an amazing story and doing so consistently at that! You’re amazing and I look forward to chapter 43!

Y/n’s letter to Hyun-woo. I’m a little surprised Hoseok sent it like he promised. Then again, I’m not because if there’s one thing we know about Hoseok is that he always keeps his promise. Be it for good or for bad, he’s a man of his word. He’s done such a good job so far of playing the loving boyfriend role while giving his little warnings here and there. So I am surprised he let his mask slip a little. Then again, I’m sure the idea of your lover attempting to keep in contact with their ex-master/lover has the potential to tick anyone off.

I think I feel bad for Sunmi the most though. I hope nothing bad happens to her now that Hyung-won feels like she betrayed him. Speaking of Hyung-won, he’s such a precarious character. In the beginning it really seemed like he had no ill feelings towards y/n. Hoseok basically kidnapped y/n, sure, but from another perspective it feels more like Hyung-won sold her off, or more precisely gave her away. Not that she was ever morally his to give, but the technicalities of the whole master-servant relationship beg to differ.

It’s like Hyung-won was looking for any reason to get rid of y/n, and Hoseok’s arrival was the perfect opportunity. I get that it was out of concern for his brother, but y/n should realize that although she may not like it at Bangtan, returning to the Baek’s is no longer an option either. Even if Hyun-won was out of the picture, her relationship with Hyun-woo is equally strained and fucked up because I doubt he’d ever be content with going back to how they were pre-Hoseok’s arrival. Hyun-woo will always want more from her, probably more than she’ll ever be willing to give.

Minjeong just might be the answer. Or maybe she has a plan that'll benefit her in the long run.

I think it was Jimin who told her what happened with Minjeong. To be honest I don't remember and this is my story 😅 We'll see what her plans are in tonight's chapter!

It's not too important in the story but the Bangtan clan is just very well known because of what their job entails. Their father was already well known and despite knowing what they do people are interested in the vast amount of wealth they've procured. In a way they are in a high position in the hierarchy because people put them there. They want what they have and despite trying not everyone can successfully do what the Bangtan clan can do.

I don't know if Y/N's pregnant. Maybe, maybe not 👀 We shall see!

Hoseok can be loyal. If anything he really is loyal to those he cares about. Unlike some *cough cough* Namjoon. Her wanting to contact Hyun-Woo did set him off because he saw it as "you belong to me and not him anymore." His mind took him two steps ahead and he imagined them being reunited and he couldn't have that. No matter what.

Sunmi is just a gentle soul that wants to help as much as she can and she really fell for Y/N. She really wanted to make more of their blooming friendship.

Hoseok and Seokjin only did a little bit in their plan to take her home with them. Hyung-Won was convinced from the beginning. He didn't like how she had his brother wrapped around her finger and how jealous and possessive he became with her. He saw him acting like a spoiled child with his demands on who could interact with her. His dislike for Y/N began to grow the day Hyun-Woo said he wanted to be the only one to feed from her. He did his best to hide it because he didn't want to hear his brother's mouth. He'd oftentimes complain to Hyun-Sik about it. It's why Hyun-Sik did nothing to help defend Y/N.

Yeah Hyun-Woo wouldn't want things to "go back to normal." He'd want to continue this fantasy relationship with her even if it was against her will. So he's not any better than Hoseok.

well lets just say, it could happen because jake is not ready to confess his feelings, when nat and bob have finally convinced you that he's in love with you, but, you walk into the hard deck, going to start a conversation with jake but you see him with his arm around another woman. all you can feel is your gut drop, tears well up in your eyes but instead of walking out, you walk over to the group with nat and bob and practically ignore jake for the entire night.

jake knows that he's doing the wrong thing, but he thinks the window of getting to you is closed, but in reality, you're pining for him so badly that he can't even see it anymore, his judgement has been completely clouded by the fear of committing to you, especially if he doesn't think he's enough for you.

so, before you leave, you catch jake alone at the bar, walking up to him, but all you can say is that "i thought we had a thing, bagman", before walking away from him, wiping tears from your eyes, and you were already out of the bar before he could go after you.

he knows he's truly fucked up, and it's hurting you both. jake knows he has to fix it before you're truly out of his reach, for good.
