Tbh I feel like Disney holding off on showing anything off from the Live Action Little Mermaid movie aside from Halle Bailey herself for literally years up until two months out from release feels pretty calculated.
Cuz it meant any misgivings about the film was basically funnelled through to solely being on Halle Bailey's casting and race. I feel like Disney has thrown yet another black actress to the wolves to deal with the racism and harassment, instead of promoting anyone or anything else associated with the film up until the full trailer released, and I feel like ANY promotion of any of the other characters would have blunted the racism and hate aimed squarely at Halle Bailey.
Idek it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth how poorly Disney seems to treat their non white actors and leaving them to deal with the online hate when Disney could have literally had the burden shared if any of the other actors had as much promotion as she did for this film.

“Finn!” came Rose’s voice on comm just as he began climbing up the cannon. “Rose!” he said. He hoped she and the rest of the ground team were safely back on the lander. “Lander’s leaving,” Rose said. “Where are you? What are you doing?” He reached the massive gun barrel. Finn said, “I’m saving what I love.” A long pause. Jannah whipped up her bow to take out a jet trooper winging their way, then pivoted quickly and did the same to a ground trooper. “Go without us,” Finn urged. “We’re taking this whole ship down.” Rose finally found her voice. “…What? How?” “You’ll see from the lander. Rose, please. Go. And… take care of yourself.” — Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: Expanded Edition by Rae Carson

The second profile in a series for an alternate universe with the sequel trilogy characters
The mix and match series was started just by swapping out clothes, faces, and accessories of different characters to see what new characters could be created or improved upon. There’s not always an intended story behind the choices— More often than not I just want to see what fit and looked cool.
