TATTOO - for emily
ask about tattoos , accepting .
the moment was so incredibly peaceful. even when it is just a moment. emily's in her full outfit, just leaning against kassandra. on that small bench inside emily's safe room. brown eyes shut, just relaxing in a moment away from the chaos of politics and arguments and men who seek too much power for no other benefit of their own. her head's resting on kassandra's shoulder, her hand in kassandra's lap.
emily's brown eyes pop open. her hand actually twitches out of surprise. just surprise, it's not like the tattoo is ever asked about on purpose -- especially if she covers it. there's also the fact ... it is covered and kassandra dipped fingers underneath the covering to reach it. only really surprising emily in the fact that she merely forgot that kassandra has certainly seen it before. even if she can't remember if she's mentioned exactly how it got there. she's pretty sure she's mentioned the outsider marked her. memory's hazy on that subject, if only because it feels like she and kassandra has dated for a pleasant lifetime instead of a few months.
" did i ever tell you about that? "

Impact. A Hotchniss fanfiction. Proceed with Caution.
Chapter three: Tension.
wordcount: 5k.

Elizabeth had never wanted children.
Perhaps it's a shameful thing for a woman to admit; it certainly was in the 60s, when Elizabeth was a thriving young woman in her 20s with a successful career, on the brink of marrying the perfect man, with no notion of children in the near, or distant, future.
Back then, she was Elizabeth Ford. The only daughter, only child, of Andre and Emmeline Ford. Her father, whose parents had been rich French immigrants, was an ambassador, holding the position of Ambassador to France for over a decade, and he was her inspiration. The time they spent in France was the happiest of Elizabeth's life. She grew up around culture and art and music and incredible food, and, when she came of age, met some of the most influential people of the 20th century.

Jordan: I only told Jeri that Aiden and I are going to be adopting a child because he's like my brother!
Jeri: I only told Veronica bc she’s basically Aiden’s mother
Veronica: I told Emily because she’s my wife.
Emily: And I told everyone :)

In 111 AC, a great tourney was held at King’s Landing on the fifth anniversary of the king’s marriage to Queen Alicent. At the opening feast, the queen wore a green gown, whilst the princess dressed dramatically in Targaryen red and black. Note was taken, and thereafter it became the custom to refer to “greens” and “blacks” when talking of the queen’s party and the party of the princess, respectively.
The Rogue Prince, or, A King’s Brother & Fire and Blood (George R. R. Martin)
Once again, take note of the age. Rhaenyra's 14 y/o "dressed dramatically in Targaryen red and black"- an Heir on the cusp of womanhood, a year away from eligibility to ascension. Probably conscious enough of her position and duties to make it into a statement- SHE is the future of Targaryen rule. It even sounds like an action of a clever, yet properly dramatic youth.
And if we go with the show's canon- green being the colour of distress fire in Oldtown- Alicent decided it's time to gather allies to get rid of Nyra.
This isn't some poor teen mother desperately trying to protect her children, because her father told her she has no other choice. This is an adult woman, deciding she's got enough of that teen brat, who's in the way of her plans for her son.
