5 Mind Blowing True Crime Documentaries You May Have Missed
5 Mind Blowing True Crime Documentaries You May Have Missed
I’ll be honest with you, this wasn’t the post I had planned for today. Jet lag got the better of me and I didn’t have the brain capacity to write my original post. The true crime posts I usually write focus on unsolved cases and it’s important to me that I give them the time and attention they deserve. Instead, I’ve prepared a list of some of the best true crime documentaries I have seen and I…

FÜR ELISA She types on her computer. She softly hits the keys that address and describe her darkest secrets... Or maybe not. Maybe she only outlines her inner demons, fearing not to be loved, not to be loved by anyone. She was smiling in the pics with her friends. She smiled at the world in the hope it be as kind to her as she was to it. She maybe thought it would be reciprocal. She pretends when she smiles sometimes. She does stupid things to please her friends, she screams and hugs and kisses and laughs loud because that's what they do everyone else she knows. She thought he loved her, but when her sadness came, depression and loss, he freaked out, as everyone did. She wanted to run away from herself and her little world describing her situation to everyone, because what he never understood was that it was easier open up to strangers than to friends who thought they knew her. No one ever met her... until she tried to swim in that tank of ice water. She felt that she wanted to die every day... until she saw how her life was slipping away. Tired, she only heard the distant traffic, and she felt that life was slipping away from herself. Her hopes were gone. She knew they would never come. Never came the day it would all make sense. Nothing more. Never more. And there is no raven on a bust of Pallas. There’s a great emptiness like an astonished mouth on the roof, shouting the sky. Like her mouth surprised herself when she swallowed the water That flooded her lungs and her hopes.

Richard Ramirez On The 14th Floor With Elisa Lam
This is a wonderful time to read a creepy book alone in bed. My new true-crime memoir, GONE AT MIDNIGHT: The Mysterious Death of Elisa Lam, explores, among other things, the history of the Cecil Hotel and how it factored into one of the most haunting and tragic cases of the century.
Learn new details of serial killer Richard Ramirez at the Cecil, as well as the hotel’s second serial killer, Jack Unterweger.
Tumblr media
During his killing spree in the 1980s, Ramirez lived on the 14th floor at the Cecil - the same floor where Elisa’s infamous surveillance footage was filmed.
I discovered new evidence in the Lam case suggesting a coverup by the LAPD and Cecil corporate management.
Book is available in Kindle and all other ebook formats.

Elisa Lam, thank you.
I’m 20. I logged in on tumblr for the first time today, even tho I’m actually quite the person that would fit here. The past few days, I’ve been watching this new crime scene netflix show about the cecil hotel and Elisa Lam and her tumblr really intrigued me. for some reason, I wanted to leave something before I’m gone as well. Elisa is an inspiration. I feel as tho she is, not she was, and even tho that documentary sucked I’m taking something with me.

Elisa Lam
Watching the netflix series on the disappearance of Elisa Lam at the Cecil Hotel really opened up my eyes. Just a reminder to never ever travel solo. I didn’t think someone like her would ever make an impact on me but the story is just so weird and bizzare and quite sad. Make sure to not ask why someone has depression but, just be there and comfort them to the best of your ability because you truly never know what someone has to deal with on a daily basis. Rest in peace to a beautiful soul and I am so very sorry that your disease got the best of you...And lastly never let a mental illness define you. You overcome all of your bad days. I promise!

one thing that annoys me about Elisa Lam’s death and that documentary on netflix is all the conspiracy theorists saying it was ghosts like ??? for the love of god. idk about anyone else but i found that quite offensive to the poor girl, this is why i don’t watch youtube shit about this kind of thing cus i cba hearing “this is paranormal!!!!” as soon as something mentions mental health/illness
