using the tiermakers made by @americangirlstar and coming up with some interesting metrics for how the girls' collections are distributed. Samantha has the biggest one, despite currently being cubed (T_T), with Molly as a close second, partially due to all the reprints and re-releases she's had. Poor Claudie has the smallest collection by far.

Rebecca's last category is supposed to say "Somehow both clothes and furniture/accessories" - Rebecca's Costume Chest and Rebecca's School Play Set were both available at one point or another with the furniture/accessories as separate components and at a different point bundled together like in the pictures, and her Seashore Set always came with the chair.

NOT adjusted for reprints, re-releases, revamps that change the accessories (i.e. Addy's Kite-Flying Outfit/Flower-Picking Outfit aka Dress and Bouquet/Blue Dress, which are all the same dress but with different accessories) or adjustments under the same name (i.e. the four variations of Molly's dog Bennett)

best friends and their collections are grouped with the main historicals

some of these were kind of hard to determine what was "furniture" vs "accessories", so my general rule of thumb was:

Dolls: if what you purchased would include the doll itself, as well as mini dolls

Outfits: clothes for the doll - had to be composed of at least either a full body outfit OR shirt/pants - shoes/socks/hats/ribbons/etc that came with them are included

Accessories: shoes/socks/hats/ribbons/etc that needed to be purchased SEPARATELY from the doll or an outfit (i.e. Samantha's Elegant Hat and Muff was sold separately from her Plaid Cape and Gaiters despite always being pictured together) OR small handheld items, such as dolls for the dolls and other toys OR pets, as they're clearly meant to compliment the collection.

Furniture: obviously things like tables and chairs, but also big items like trunks or playsets, and small items, like table settings. basically if it could qualify as a household furnishing, it would go here.

Girls + Misc: Clothes or other accessories, life-sized edition.

Books + Misc: books, puzzles, games, you name it, as long as it's printed and for humans to use

??????: stuff that didn't fit anywhere OR i couldn't tell what it was

I couldn't decide where some items belonged - the horses are big and expensive enough that they should qualify as furniture, but theyre yknow. animals. which were all going in accessories otherwise, since they're clearly part of a collection complementing the doll and not just a standalone item.

The funniest case of this is probably Felicty's sister Polly, who could reasonably be categorized as either of those (comes with cradle, which is household furnishings; is clearly meant to compliment Felicity's collection, like the pets) OR a doll (cause she. is one.)

kasey and mackie: kasey loves when mackie wears sweatpants. it gets her going fast. mackie immediately is turned on when kasey kisses him first. which is often.

caroline and kent: kent fucking melts seeing caroline in his jersey or any of his clothes. caroline jumps kent any time that boy scores or does well in a game.

charlie and trevor: charlie likes his tattoos. a lot. like so much. trevor gets turned on when charlie is being a little more talkative than normal. it goes with the whole vocal thing in bed. and ya know he’s obsessed with her baby bump and boobs.

quinn and mom: for quinn it’s boobs. low cut shirt? hard. getting dressed? immediately ready to go multiple rounds. doesn’t take him a lot. for mom, she loves when he grows his scruff out. she likes when he kisses her neck too.

logan and nico: nico is constantly being turned on by logan but something about her running her own store(s) gets him going. powerful woman. for logan, she loves when he talks in her ear. it could be in english, he could be saying something she doesn’t even understand in swiss german she’s immediately turned on.

sawyer and quinn: sawyer love love lovessss when quinn grabs her thigh and they are in the car or at dinner. just something about him having his hand so close gets her. for him, he loves watching her paint, she’s so focused, paint on her face, and it just gets him.

aspen and cole: aspen always has to calm herself down when cole is walking around shirtless. especially when she’s pregnant. he gets immediately turned on when she has the baby bump. and when she is putting her hair up in a pony tail.

jack and y/n: jack loves when y/n hugs him in the morning, her hand runs across his bare abs. y/n is turned on when jack is cooking. or when he’s being a dad.

Ray and Carolin looked damn near twins (they weren’t, but looked the part).

I read Anne Frank's diary when I was in high school. I watched the black and white film adaptation around that time as well. There are many stories out there bringing to light the brave acts of kindness of people who fought Nazis by saving the lives of the people they persecuted. I didn't know much about Miep Gies, the young woman who helped hide the Frank family and the others in the annex. My mother asked me if I could find the series in Disney+ because she wanted to watch it and so I watched it with her. It is an 8 episode long series that kept us down on our seats, watching how these people risked their lives to keep other people alive. I know the series has some fictionalized elements, but still, I know that other people were working against the Nazis, putting their lives in danger to save people's lives. It really broke my heart to see these people hiding, hoping when we know that only Mr. Otto Frank was the only one that survived, but they got to live those two years. Miep gave them two years of love and precious moments and gave Mr. Frank a part of one of his daughters that helped him keep her alive in his heart and in the collective conscience of the world.

The series also gives us a look into her husband's contribution saving people's lives. They were a very brave couple.

It is an inspiring series to watch. We need to understand the past in order to read the red flags in the present and avoid repeating the cruel past.

If you're in the mood to answer any more of my annoying questions: how would you compare Klaus and Cole as individual characters and, by extension, Klaroline vs Phoebe/Cole - differences, similarities, what you love or dislike about both, etc. You know I'm dying to write a crossover fic but am far too lazy to do so :)

My friend, I never think your questions are annoying. I enjoy your thought-provoking nature. It makes me contemplate things I love rather than things I have to do IRL. In fact, I absolutely love this question. I love Klaus and Cole for different reasons. I definitely have a soft spot for the broken ones.

Klaus began his long life as a human with a family, human feelings, and, from what I saw in flashbacks, human morality. Mikael's abuse, his hunt for Klaus, the horrific turning of the whole family, the blood lust, and the centuries of immortality turned him into the vicious monster that kills without thought or remorse. His own beloved family doesn't escape his wrath. I love when he helps by being the most badass immortal in town. He makes a powerful ally. I hate when he acts out like a child, i.e. daggers his siblings, chooses Jenna for the ritual, compels Stefan to turn off his humanity, etc. I feel like a thousand years is long enough to grow up and stop acting like a petulant child. (FYI: I haven't watched The Originals, so I can't speak to him on that show.) Caroline treats Klaus exactly the same as she treats everyone. She holds him accountable, expects him to be better, and gets mad when he does something wrong. Caroline surprises and intrigues Klaus. He wants to spend time with her and turns into a total softy when he does. He can't let her die even though the feeling is at war with who he is. She is absolutely the only person that gets away with treating him like she does, and he usually takes her criticism with a smile. If it weren't for spin-offs and such, they would have been a beautiful endgame. They had that thing Delena had.

Cole was biologically half demon and then was raised fully by his demonic parent. He didn't have a human influence that he cared about until Phoebe, and he tried very hard to remain uncaring and evil once he met her. I love that Phoebe was so good, compassionate, and loving that he couldn't resist falling in love with her. Cole's war with himself is very similar to Damon's, and like Damon, Cole accepted and embraced his demonic nature. Unlike Damon, Cole did not let Phoebe go for her own good. I did not like that involvement with him turned her evil for a while. He was actually toxic in those moments. He should have walked away if he couldn't be better for her. I do wish that they had been endgame and were finally happy together.
