Watch "Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story | Official Trailer | Hulu" on YouTubej
youtube
Bon Jovi. I'm an 80s child and 90s teen. I was a pre-teen in the late 80s. I watched MTV, I listened to La Mega, which was the rock station in PR back then. I grew up listening to all the rock bands, and Bon Jovi was one of them. I remember that people said they were not rock because they were not heavy metal. But to me that didn't make any sense, Bon Jovi's songs were good, and I loved them, and so did my brother and my friends, so we didn't care what the critics said. Most of those heavy metal bands are long gone, but Bon Jovi is still around, and I think that says a lot. I didn't know Jon was having problems with his vocal cords until I watched the documentary, and I do hope he is able to recover fully. . .
It was a great documentary. I'm glad it was divided into 4 parts because it gave us a good look at the band and its history. I was kind of surprised in a positive way to learn that Jon never used drugs; at some point in the history of music, it felt like drug addition was a requirement, so actually learning that he didn't do any of it just proves to all that you don't need to go down that road even if others are. This is a band that grows and transforms, showing - not just each members' personality - but also how we mature and look at the world differently. Their music matured with its fans and I like that. I think they were honest as they opened up in the interviews.
If you are a fan, watch it. It feels like they take you into their personal ride as part of Bon Jovi.

My Demon
Tumblr media
Loved this series. It had a balance of cute, drama, and suspense. The characters for the most part were grayish and complex. The portrayal of God as female, homeless and gambler was interesting. The relationship between her and the demon was one complex too. It felt like ying and yang. Human emotions make the demon and god empathetic towards humans' pain. This story tackles domestic abuse and child abuse, and emphasizes on how silence and turning a blind-eye to these situations can hurt a loved one as well. It makes you reflect on these issues.
Again, it's a good drama to watch.

Today's Webtoon
Tumblr media
For someone that likes to read webtoons, this series was so nice to watch. It gives us a window to how webtoon creation and publication works. I like the characters: artists and the PDs. Their stories ranged from sweet to sad, but it was great to see the all reached their own happiness. Even though this series is not a romantic drama, it did have its romantic touches that made it sweeter. It leaves this subplot in the opening as they accomplish their dream as a team and move on to the next collective dream. I wonder what will happen with Oh Ma Eum's relationship with Seok Ji Hyung and Jun Yeong. But even though it leaves that question open, it doesn't leave me disappointed or wanting to know what happens. I think that it just reminds us that life continues even after one chapter of our lives ends and things will happen at their own sweet time, there is no need to force things.
Work drama that will keep you smiling and cheering for the characters. Really loved it.

Started watching Today's Webtoon.
I've had this series in my list since it came out. Choi Daniel is in it (who is one of the actors I'm always in the look out) and I love reading webtoons.

Doctor Slump
Tumblr media
I liked this story. It was sweet and it reminds us that even when we feel like things can't get any worse, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Ha Neul and Jeong Woo learn to rely on each other and face the darkness together and with the help of the people that truly care about them.
I also liked Hong Ra's and Dae Yeong's story.

Welcome to Samdal-ri
Tumblr media
It has been a while since I felt like making a wallpaper for a drama. I just wanted to make sure that all the characters that I loved had their spotlight. This is such a sweet romantic story! I loved the main plot and all the subplots, I loved the family dynamics as well as the friendship ones. The Power Rangers were so cute to watch as kids and adults and the sisters are a power house all on their own. . . And Ha Yul stole my heart too.
It was endearing to watch. This is definitely a drama I see myself going back to later on.

Doona!
Tumblr media
I liked the series though the ending was realistically sad. I liked how the characters connected through their interactions. It is really sad how the entertaining industry in Korea takes ownership of the artists' lives. . .
I started reading the webtoon. Let's see how that goes.

Watch "My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 | OFFICIAL TRAILER 1" on YouTube
youtube
I love this story, and I was disappointed to see that there were only 13 episodes. There are so many love stories that are left hanging in anime: kimi ni Todoke, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, I said I love You, A Sign for Affection. . .

Death's Game
Tumblr media
Started it today and ended it today. This 8 episode long series is too intense to leave it for later. I binged watched it like I haven't done so in a while. It is the kind of series that is best to go into it without knowing much, unless you read the webtoon. I haven't read it yet, but it's a really short webtoon so I think I will probably read it.
Anyway, this series is not for the fainted heart. It has a lot of triggers and it can be gruesome and gory in some points. However, if you don't mind it, watch it. It is really good. It keeps the audience in suspense and it makes us cry.
The cast did an amazing job! Each person felt like it was Yi Jae.

Watch "A Sign Of Affection (Yubisaki to Renren) - Official Trailer 2 | English Subtitles" on YouTube
youtube
In a matter of hours, I finished watching A Sign of Affection. It has 10 episodes but that last one. . . I just know there is more to this story. I will be looking into it. This is a cute love story between Yuki, a deaf girl who hasn't seen much of the world, and Itsuomi, a young man who loves to travel. Even though she has been deaf since she was born, her family never learned sign language, still she went to deaf school and som of her friends know know the language. Itsuomi lived in Germany when he was little. His family still lives there, but he is in Japan studying while taking time off to travel He loves to learn languages and cultures. These two characters meet in the train and then keep getting to know each other in college.
It is a beautiful story. Their friends make up pretty nice side stories that the anime has still not resolved completely. It has the same vib as Kimi ni todoke, only that the characters are college students.
I loved it and I would love to read the manga!

Marry My Husband
Tumblr media
I must admit I have mixed feelings about this adaptation. Overall, I liked what they did with the story, but there were things that were not in the webtoon that I wondered why add it to the plot. There were changes that took away the cuteness of some subplots and there were characters that I felt were better in the webtoon. But overall, if I hadn't read the webtoon first, I think I would have loved it the way it is. I liked how they worked the transferring of fates, and the interactions between Ji Won and Ji Hyeok and their story was better developed in the kdrama.
Overall, it was a nice story to watch.

Perfect Marriage Revenge

This series is based on the webtoon with the same name. I read the webtoon before watching the series and I must say that I liked the adaptation. It didn't drag the situations, the changes they made worked and I liked the story line.
I liked this series.
