i dont have this as a coherent argument but there's something about bbc ghosts that is just so much more. genuine? than the american one. and I only watched like 2 episodes of the cbs one but still. to me i think it suffered from that marvel-ification "he's behind me isnt he?" wink wonk cheesy like. exaggeration in a way that wasnt purposeful or sincere. the whole everyone is beautiful and no one is horny situation. whereas in bbc ghosts the whole show is a little bit rough around the edges and ugly and imperfect in a way that makes it infinitely more endearing. I'd rather watch a theater production where someone occasionally misses a cue but the people care and have something to say, rather than a perfectly airbrushed and photoshopped one that talks a lot and says nothing. yknow?

Mmmmmmmm Dnn au where Sapnap and George are both selkies and they haven't told Dream but he knows, and he doesn't blame them for not telling him, he gets it, and they always keep their furs hidden until one day someone breaks into their home and steals their furs, and while the two of them are freaking out because this is literally the worst case scenario ever and what are they going to even tell Dream, Dream goes after the guys and just kills them

Except Dream fucked up and now he's freaking out because he got fucking blood on their coats! He can't give the coats back with blood in them, that would be so rude and gross and what if the blood sticks to it after it dries????

So Sapnap and George suddenly feel a new pair of hands touch their coats, different from the ones that had grabbed and thrown it around and hidden. No, these hands tremble slightly as they touch their furs and they feel so familiar and then there's the feeling of water which... is very weird? What the fuck is happening to their coats??

But yeah, Dream washes the blood off and them puts the coats in the drier on a low setting with a bunch of towels (which is a very very weird feeling to Sapnap and George) and he leaves the coats on their beds without them seeing and now they kinda smell like the laundry cleaner Dream uses and it drives George and Sapnap insane (/pos)

Sometimes he feels like he's crazy.

He's seen her a thousand times, yet she always looks different. It's as if she's just other people.

Why can't he remember her face?

So I don't know wtf I did, but I'm currently blind in one eye. So that's why this one is uncoloured. Though I did colour 2 frames just so you can see her!

If you couldn't guess, Cleo's a mash of other people. She's the same species as Doc, though unlike him, her body isn't held together by plants. She has a few small sprouts but they're not much. (Maybe I'll make a separate post on how undead mobs work for them if anyone wants.)

Everyone else can obviously see Cleo as a zombie, but Xisuma can't really see her that well. He sees her face, he sees her, but at the same time he sees so many other people. Xisuma also can't tell she's undead. He still thinks she's human, though there are things that scare him. He thinks her snakes are her organs. Sometimes they fall out and he gets a bit spooked, but that's just how Cleo is.
