This will be a long post but I've been thinking about this since last night.
I get a pit in my stomach when I think about the new Fallout TV show and the chance TES may get a show if the Fallout show is super successful.
I've been hearing the show has been pretty good, but ive also heard some grim rumblings and worries about certain directions Bethesda/Amazon are taking lore-wise in the Fallout show. Apparently Todd has said everything in the show is canon.
I've not watched it myself as I'm not a huge TV watcher in general, but I don't know if I want to see Bethesda or an outside studio make massive changes to TES lore which affect both past and future installments in TES purely for the sake of "making good TV".
I am most certainly not a "modern Bethesda" hater or of the opinion that modern TES/Fallout games are bad. I pretty much love them all. (I even enjoyed Starfield, huge glaring flaws and all!)
I genuinely believe they are trying their best to make fun games. I also understand they have had a lot of struggles over the past decade+, particularly in company direction and budgeting of necessary resources (pre-Microsoft acquisition).
The old Zenimax upper management was awful (Trumps brother was literally on the Zenimax board of Directors before he died). And infamously refused budget allocations towards serious game engine improvements that were desperately needed. Bethesda has had alot of struggles but I feel they have always tried to do the best they can, even if the final result is middling.
I am also not a Todd hater. Even if he's not necessarily the best game designer, he has a lot of heart and passion and seems to genuinely care about Bethesda and its employees. I am glad he seems to have a genuinely good relationship with Microsoft and I have high hopes for Bethesda's future in the long term.
All that said, there are just certain changes that can happen when "Hollywood comes knocking" per se., even if most of the main creative decisions still come from Bethesda. TV shows can be fantastic and lauded with praise but if they are based on an established property with established lore, they often ultimately go in creative directions which negates the lore and other non-TV entries in the series.
Just look at GOT. It started off amazingly, and GRR Martin had a direct hand in all the early series. It was the best show on TV until suddenly GRR was no longer involved directly and the show runners started making their own decisions. They started ignoring established lore and making "changes and improvements" which nose dived the series by the end.
Perhaps I am paranoid, but I can see something similar happening to Fallout if the show is big and keeps getting new series. Furthermore, I hold a deep dread that TES may be next. Just think, how many people talk about GOT anymore? How many people are hyped for the next book(s) in the series? The books didn't get bad right? Only the TV show did.
But that's my point. If Fallout or TES have these big smash initial hits on TV but begin to fail after a while, it damages the series as a whole, not just the TV show. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see TES/Fallout TV shows be nothing but great. I just worry as I've been hearing of major major lore changes being made by the Fallout show. These changes are irrevocable and utterly change the lore of that series, and not necessarily for the better. I'll try to refrain from further judgment on that, but I'll leave with this question:
What if TES had a super quality and popular TV show which negated large parts of pre-Oblivion lore? Suddenly, due to the show, innumerable people/places/things which were iconic to the TES series were no longer around or perhaps not even canon anymore? What if those things were just lost or written off for the sake of a TV show?
As a fan of TES, and maybe even of that TV show, how would that make you feel?
I'm am not trying to stir controversy here, but I think we as a fandom need to have more public discussions about this. We also need to be prepared to not dump on any new changes to the series or lore without giving them a fair shake. Something being "new and different" does mean its awful. Changes can be good or bad but they must be carefully considered.
I hope this new Fallout show's premiere will provide us a good chance to consider the future of TES media and lore outside the games before any changes are announced or made.

Favorite Qsmp Moments By Yours Truly
Reblogged this post about my Top 3, and felt compelled to put down all the moments I remember the most fondly (which is a lot so good luck getting through the whole post, if you make it to end you get the eggs back on the server)
#Lore
Pretty much the entire Happy Pills arc (Philza seeing the fake room and fake Richas, the lead up to Forever pulling a gun on him, Cellbit and Forever's argument, Forever hysterically sobbing while talking to fake Richas, the reveal that Forever destroyed the entire goddamn server and forced the Fed to do a server rollback, the Curing, the calm afterwards)
Pac being walked back to Chume Labs by Cellbit after being cured, them having their heart to heart, Cellbit recognizing his struggle and telling him he saved himself and Forever, that he was a hero, and Pac quietly recovering in his first moment of peace since it all started.
The hospital visits when Forever was comatose. Philza, Bad and Cellbit's visits are the ones people talk about the most for the serious parts but Fit also visited and opened up a surprising amount, I feel like it said a lot about his character that he opened up to a man in a coma, desperate to get his words off his chest, but not trusting enough to tell someone who would remember them the next day
Bad getting really pissed at the Federation for the first time and lassoing Cucurucho to "walk him like a dog" (you could feel the anti-Federation sentiment really solidify in this moment, before it was more so Cellbit's personal vendetta but this became one of the moments that made it a server-wide stance)
Vegetta and later Foolish fighting off the Codes who were trying to kill Leo (the absolute stress from Foolish's fight when he kept shouting at Leo to warp out and her not doing it was unreal)
Tallulah's first death, how hard Fit, Forever and their eggs fought to protect her, and how absolutely furious Philza was
Pretty much every Forever and Cucurucho interaction post-Happy Pills; their dynamic was never the same after that, and you can see how tense Forever is every time he's alone with Cucurucho
Charlie's rampage after Flippa died the first time (pre-trial); he's too good at voice acting cause holy shit
Maxo's "King of the Codes" dream after his leg got infected
Quackity coming back after El Quackity vanished and being himself yet completely different (not remembering anyone, only speaking spanish, not being able to read or write), and Maxo and Roier sticking by him trying to press for answers while Q just wanted to build his house
Etoiles getting hyped for his big final fight with the Codes, and the excitement immediately being sapped out of him when he sees Pomme in the cage
The first time we saw a Federation worker other than Cucurucho (Cellbit was the first to see one I believe)
Tubbo's "Fire won't break it. TNT won't break it. I will." speech after Quackity abducted Fred
Funnies/Generally Cool
The Gordinho Gostozinho highlights (from funny ones like the Foolish and Austin kiss to lore like the ambush on El Quackity)
Foolish roleplaying being very fucking drunk in the club after the spiderbit wedding (him being like "you want a shot? I'll give you a fucking shot" and pulling out a gun and shooting Charlie was so goddamn funny, second time he shot Charlie that night); he was wildly good at roleplaying a drunk person and after the Brazil meetup where we learned he's apparently a tank when it comes to drinking I'm starting to see where it comes from lmao
Maxo waking up in Pierre's bed with his moan remix playing after he died during a serious lore moment, and his face of absolute defeat and bitter resentment actually had me struggling to breath from how hard I was laughing (also Baghera hysterically laughing at the clip and showing it to people)
Polis singing My Heart Will Go On with his very crunchy microphone to Cellbit (and Cell losing his shit)
Vegetta starting to suck off Foolish in the middle of a theater full of people the first fucking day the French were on the server, and the ensuing shouting from everyone angrily trying to stop them
SASUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Debate moderator Fit during the election arc (+him reading out Gegg's speeches, as well as just Gegg's speeches in general)
Lawyer Jaiden/Bad/Quackity/Roier being genuinely really good at acting as lawyers (and lawyer Fit offering to bribe and then murder the judge if the trial didn't go their way. Also the trial derailing into exposing Foolish for his love life with Mariana for some reason)
All the victims of Eh Vegetta
The emotional rollercoaster that is the Frubbo arc, Tubbo's thirst tweets included
Felps
The first time the admins did a roundup of everyone's early-game builds and they kept showing Mariana's base with the negative buzzer sound, each time of which made Mariana more angry until he was just swearing in spanish
Mousey's first experiences in Lucky Ducks, and the pinpointable moments that led to her totally not gambling addiction
Abueloier (specifically his first interaction with Quackity cause of how good Roier is at making Q laugh with horny humor + the moment when Abueloier said he had been fighting with Roier for 20 years and Cellbit asked "how did you fight with a baby" and them cracking up cause Roier hadn't thought that part through)
Baghera being consistently bad at predicting mines for the sake of avoiding them
Fit killing Tubbo with the potato gun after he started strip teasing on Pac
That clip of Missa jumping off the wall to hit a bucket clutch, miscalculating and hitting part of the wall, falling further, hitting part of the wall again and getting downed on it, falling while downed, and finally hitting the ground where he was unable to clutch because he was downed, and immediately dying
Every moment where Tina is unhinged (her raging at Bad when he's being a nuisance, her being down horrendous for Bagi, etc)
Charlie talking about his dead daughter and Foolish interrupting him to ask if he lactates (Charlie doesn't usually hesitate with responses cause of how quick witted he is but he had to fully pause after that one)
Spreen teaching Fit how to do a line being his most meaningful contribution to their marriage
Felps Square, and the rise of Squole (Felps Square x Tubhole)
The Jaidens (and how hilariously shit they were at being stealthy)
The French Beast aka Etoiles various adventures destroying the Codes and typing his win streak in chat after every fight
Philza getting to really know Tazercraft during Tallulah's birthday party (seriously watch the clips Mike is fucking hilarious)
The post-lore hangout (might've been the election dinner?) where Foolish, Mouse, Tina, and Felps went dungeoning together; I got to learn more about Mouse, and the chemistry the Foolish/Tina/Mouse group had with Felps was really fun
Rivers being awkward as fuck around other people that aren't Roier
The entire trial of Juanaflippa, including Charlie and Mariana being in holding and breaking out
Antoine's "because he's a fucking troll" about Pierre
The moment when Kameto logged on
Forever calling Bad "sir" (if yk yk)
Fit complaining to Philza and co. about Spreen being a "fucking asshole husband who went out for cigarettes"
Vegetta and Roier debuting as strippers and Quackity's reaction (+Vegetta getting stuck in the wall)
Flippa's turtle falling off a ledge and killing itself right in front of Charlie and Mariana's sex roleplay
Mine Roulette with Antoine, Bad, Baghera, Pomme and Foolish (that evening was such a vibe and it was my first time watching from Antoine's stream)
Etoiles saying that Pierre is married and has kids but all he can think about is being depressed over the admins nerfing Create after Tubbo kept breaking things
Ramón being mad at Fit for keeping secrets from him and saying "talk to my shell" before carrying on with his redstone
The pinpointable moments where Tallulah gets more sassy and confident until she's unironically putting "serve cunt" in her signs
Bad trying to get info from Cucurucho, being told by Dapper and Ramón not to flirt, and immediately slipping up with the "you come here often"
Missa singing When You're Gone during his dog funeral (I know this sounds sad but it was really fucking funny, Missa's language vocabulary is 70% incompressible whimpering)
Fit losing his absolute mind after Cucuruchito started heavy flirting with him out of no where
Vegetta's mines and all the carnage they have caused (you could make a whole comp from just the French's arrival)
That era where Tazercraft where abusing create mod and breaking Federation shit near on the daily (the poor admins lmao)
Forever and Bad exploring the Federation construction site and Forever making Cucurucho drink his pee before being shot at for making Cucurucho drink his pee
And of course, all of the lovely Qsmp songs/memes (Vivo Turbo ad, Pac e Mike wow wow, Eh Vegetta, Maxo moan remix, Pomme Pomme Dapper Dapper remix, Quackity paga el servidor, honorary French member Bebou, meus pais/minhas mães, the inactive members being referenced to this day, Amiga...)

Idk if this means anything to you but I'm a comic artist who's had a hard time doing art for a few years. The first four was because of life hardship and lack of time/chronic pain, but now lately I've had time but a mental block. I'm creeping up on 30 and felt bad about myself for "missing out" on my opportunity to be a comic artist. It was really validating to see you post about being 41 (correct me if I'm wrong) especially since you have such wonderful comics that I've been following for a while now. It makes me feel less like I'm wasting my time putting my things in order when I "should" be drawing.
Hopefully this doesn't come across as offensive or anything. It was just comforting and validating. Anyway, big fan! Love your characters a whole lot and hope you have a good day!
Dear Anon
I am 41 years old. I have wanted to make comics my entire life. before my dad got sick, and my childhood kinda fell apart, all i did was draw. after that, i used the stories in my head to cope. life moved on. i was convinced not to accept a partial scholarship to an art school in California. life got hard. i worked at a hotel, and after i escaped an abusive relationship at 22 i hitchhiked/bused far far away to start over. i tried to make comics again, but i had to survive, and so i got another job doing the only thing i knew how to do, hotels. and i worked. and worked. and life got harder and times got heavier and i didn't get time to draw and i worked double hours, 15 to 17 hours a day. and i went four years without drawing a single thing.
i kept working myself into the ground. i was 29 now. i picked up a pen again and drew a red haired boy. he had a hard life and no love and no friends. his problems were on the outside, for everyone to see. he ran away but his problems went with him.
i was 32. surely i was too old now. my time to be an artist was gone. i had no school. no hope. i was so far behind the younger gen i saw online. i cried. all the time. i wrote stories in my email drafts while i worked shifts. i stayed up late trying to learn how to draw again. i cried some more. the boy grew. i called him Fiach. worthy. a raven. later i renamed him Avery. he was like a bird, he had wings, he was my hope. i started writing some friends for him. the people i wished i had around me.
i started finding time and space. i got a new job, something where i was lucky enough to set my own hours. for the first time i had a partner who believed in me. things were hard. but i was drawing now. and that helped.
i went on a road trip and i started drawing pages of an unnamed story on 6 by 8 paper in a sketchbook. i drew 20 of them. 'what could i call this?' i thought. Nothing Seems as Dark...no says my partner. Seemingly Dark. he made me a logo. i was 35. i bought an ipad, i cant do this on paper, its too much story i have too much to say. so i learned how to draw digitally by tracing my own trad art pages.
I spoke to my dad for the last time on June 17th, fathers day that year. he said 'you're good. i'm proud. and you're gonna do amazing things. none of this is your fault. and we will speak again soon.' i didn't know id never hear his voice again. he died a week later.
i turned 36. i kept trying. i'm old, i don't understand the internet. how can i share this?
i stumbled across Lore Olympus. i was introduced to webcomics. id read comics online before but the thought never occurred to me. i opened an account on Tapas. and then i stared at it. what if no one likes it. what if its bad. my art isn't good. i should wait til i'm better. but will i ever really be better? or will i always believe that tomorrow is better? do it now. if even one person gets something out of this story, this story about a boy who is you, a boy who looking for hope, a boy who might make it, then that is enough isn't it.
June 17th 2018 i launched Seemingly Dark.
SD's five year anniversary is in a week. 0ver 700 pages. leaps and bounds in progress with my skills. a printed comic under my belt as of monday. i was always a storyteller. but i was always an artist too.
I am 41 years old, dear anon. I did not truly embark on this journey til i was 35. life got in the way. even now, chronic illness gets in the way. but its worth it. its never ever too late. i believe in you the way my dad believed in me. i reset my life again and again. but I was always an artist. and if thats who you are, and who you want to be, even if things dont go the way you wished they could, you're an artist too.
im 41 years old. i speak about my age, even though i often feel too old to belong in spaces, cuz really, in this case age is just a number. take care of yourself. do what you need to do. and little by little, when your able, carve out your space until it becomes more of a habit. sometimes i think about all the years i lost not drawing or creating. but there's a lot of factors that make me believe had i made my story then, it wouldn't be the story it is now, i needed to live a bit. i needed to find myself. i know this was long, but i just wanted you to see i also had to put my life in order, and getting notes like this reminds me it wasnt at all a waste. im glad i could offer you some comfort. thats honestly the best compliment i could ever receive.
TL;dR I was 35 when i sat down and seriously started making comics, because life always got in the way and so did my confidence. i always feared being too old. im 41 now, still going strong.

been brainrotting Venti recently and all of his lore so just gonna put it somewhere that’s not my head
Some basics on Venti: he is the Anemo Archon of Mondstadt, with connections to wine and song, but with the official dominion of Wind, and his ideal is Freedom. He currently disguises himself as a carefree bard. His character story and Neuvi’s voice lines also declare him to be a god of hope.
when we first meet him he teleports away in a flash of Anemo (he can teleport!!) and we learn when we enter mond that the god Barbatos (an original member of the Seven) has been MIA for a long time. He’s not the one running the place, the Ordo Favonius are, but he does have a church and Mondstadters habitually give each other blessings from the wind. He himself has a habit of sleeping for long periods of time.
okay, cool. Venti himself helps us save Dvalin, casually revealing he’s the Anemo Archon just to get hold of the Holy Lyre. He breaks it when we’re on the quest, but returns it to Barbara magically fixed (and implies that she’ll find it broken again soon). His Gnosis is stolen (guys he can Teleport!!!) from him, but he returns to Windrise to recover.
He also gives us the basics on Teyvat’s elemental powers, and tells us a god’s power is based in how much control they exert over their nation (this is later contradicted by Nahida + Focalors,,,, so chances are that he was lying!)
then we also have Carmen Dei, the only archon story quest to not have a part 2. In “Should You Be Trapped In A Windless Land” (and we’ll explore what wind means in Teyvat), Venti uses his godly powers to help Stanley, a boastful adventurer who has taken on the face and identity of his friend in order to carry on his memory. The friend died in Mare Jivari, the ‘windless land’ likely referenced by the quest title.
Venti then sings the story of how he, “a single thread of the thousand winds” (Venti character story), became an archon. He reveals he too has taken on the face of his friend who died among the revolt against Decarabian in Old Mond that ended with Venti being seated as the god.
(Guys he has associations with death!! It doesn’t stop here, Weinlesefest and Mond legends about your spirit being guided back home by the wind, even the connections in events to Hu Tao like !!!)
He hasn’t appeared much in main story, honestly. But there are so many crumbs that lead back to Barbatos and his homeland of Mond that one HAS to wonder: what is going on with him?
His drip marketing? oh he’s the “prodigal son”. son of who???
(“she was the moment. she was every moment… every second of joy, every moment of rage, every instant of longing, every flash of delirium”)
furthermore we’ve got more from his demo: “full of mystery, born from the branches of time / a history of glory and sorrow, and witness to the divine”.
so he’s the “prodigal son”, “born from the branches of time”, who is “full of mystery”, has “a history of glory and sorrow”, and serves as a “witness to the divine”.
what do his character stories have to say? a LOT. they call him “a single thread of the thousand winds”, “without a shred of divine dignity” (pre archon war). And they claim he became a god once the rebellion succeeded (it kinda makes sense, he was the spirit most associated with them after all, and as we know - gods of Teyvat draw power from their believers)
The 5th story remarks that Venti both should and should not be given credit for Mond’s prosperity, since it’s the doing of the Four Winds (which he established lol) but also he’s the one ensuring that the tales of their deeds are passed on.
ok let’s break this down. he’s the prodigal son? the question of his parentage seems to have found it’s definitive answer. Mondstadtian sayings commonly associate the wind with the passage of time, and there are temples to time and a god of time in Mond, which have now come to ruins. They were worshipped alongside Venti for a long time, but their significance diminished and eroded.
Now, in Enka we discovered records of Istaroth, who was also known by the Enkanomiyans as their Goddess of Time, and is the premier candidate (by lore enthusiast consensus) for the god that would’ve been worshipped alongside Venti.
She is also (I’m convinced) Venti’s mom. Remember, he was said to be “born of the branches of time” and “a single thread of the thousand winds”. What was Istaroth’s epithet? She’s the Thousand Winds. We are literally told he was a part of her.
We also have evidence to support Venti having time-based powers. Remember the Weinlesefest memories brought by the wind? He also “knows all songs, past and future”. And furthermore, he might have just rewound the Holy Lyre instead of actually fixing it permanently.
The real question up for debate is whether or not Venti is part of her or a completely unique entity. Both are possible, honestly. I mean, they coexisted. It’s just that the phrasing “a branch” bothers me because it was the exact same phrase used to reference what Nahida is to Rukkha but that much could just be coincidence.
I think we’ve established by now that he’s seen a history full of glory and sorrow, and that he’s full of mystery. So what’s left?
He “knows all songs, past and future” and he is a “witness of the divine”. And his character story supports that, highlighting the importance of his role as a witness to the history of Mond and the feats of the Four Winds. In light of the Sumeru and Fontaine AQs, where we learned that info can be erased from Irminsul and can only be preserved either through the memory of a Witness from outside the world or the creation of an allegorical tale that seems just fictional enough to bypass the Irminsul censors. Also, the importance of what we see being the truth.
(Oh yeah: forgot to mention that he also tends to play this role in history, where he doesn’t interfere much himself but he picks a hero to address a task and then supports them however they need to get the job done. This traces back all the way to his time with Decarabian; he didn’t fight in the war itself, but he watched the Nameless Bard and his countrymen do it, and recorded it in song. Same for Vennessa and the Revolution against the aristocracy).
(guys he is a god of hope and of freedom)
Carmen Dei the story quest does not have a part two. I fear for the day it does, frankly, because we will learn a LOT about this silly little man.

Why was Yamamura locked up?
Back to lore digging because I had so many questions, and so many personal headcanons without actually sharing them to see if some people agreed, but the League's been on my mind for the most part! I always wondered why Yamamura was locked up in the dungeons (going mad/blood-drunk usually meant the Hunter of Hunters would come for you rather than getting imprisoned I assumed), if he had been locked up in the living world at all. So far, we just see him in such state in the Nightmare, but considering Maria spent the later half of her life in the Research Hall, and that it is where we find her in the Nightmare, I had reasons to believe that Yamamura got locked up at some point, and died in his cell like Gracia did. ''Shrouded by night, but with steady stride. Colored by blood, but always clear of mind. Proud hunter of the church. Beasts are a curse, and a curse is a shackle. Only ye are the true blades of the church.'' That chant sounded more like a mantra when I first heard it, and upon the thought of people imprisoning Hunters who had gone mad or gone against the Healing Church's dogma (like Gracia in her own cell who is found in a praying position), I suspect that Yamamura was probably tormented over and over again, most likely through torture, to the point of not being capable of any form of speech rather than reciting the same chant over and over again. After all, when we find him, he keeps on bashing his head against the wall- ''There shall be no sympathy for those engaged in the bloody mission of the League. No matter that an oath must be taken to uphold the illusion.'' - League Staff
Now with that in mind, we already know that Yamamura went mad after years and years working for the League, and that he eventually died. That description kinda gives off the impression that the Church did not really like the League as a whole (considering you find Valtr in the woods and that he seems rather disgusted by the 'mad doctors'). We know the Healing Church isn't so keen on sharing much of their knowledge with Yharnamites, let alone foreigners who take up arms to fight against beasts without seeking their support (I mean Valtr, Yamamura, and Madaras cannot really be considered Yharnamites, and we know that Gascoigne parted from the Church at some point). Therefore, it could be somewhat plausible for Church Hunters to have locked up Yams under the intention of "fixing the madman by reminding him who is in charge of Yharnam". ''A standard hunter's hat, worn by Yamamura the Wanderer. This hat and staff were given to him when he became a hunter and confederate of the League.'' - Yamamura Hunter Hat Also! He's not wearing his hat in the cells when we find him! It's a very interesting detail considering Fromsoft games do not do things randomly. Maybe he abandoned his oath when he went mad? Maybe the Church took it away from him to truly strip him from any attachment he had in the past? Maybe the Church was twisted enough at that point for their Hunters to truly believe that tormenting a poor foreign man with nothing to lose would bring him salvation and cleanse his soul.
Tumblr media
"Perhaps there is some mercy in the madness. Those who wish to see vermin can, and those who choose to are provided with boundless purpose.'' - Vermin All in all, I'm not so sure as to why exactly Yamamura was locked up, but I'm certain it has something to do with more than just going mad from working for so long for the League. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts though!

The Overlords Alastor Brought Down
Tumblr media
We know Alastor raise to power quickly and took out overlords that been dominate for centuries.
I strongly believe they are still alive. Never once when the youtube pilot or Amazon series, has said he killed them. Just they 'disappeared', 'gone missing' and Alastor was the cause and broadcasted their screams.
-Side note, it looked he only used his shadows to take them out. As in the Amazon series lore his shadow was heavy emphasized.
'So if they are alive, where are they?' you may be asking. Well, I think Alastor trapped their souls in a pocket dimension in one of his antique radios. The one centered with Alastor in this picture in the pilot. That radio was made sure to be part of that lore when the production team was considerably less to work with.
Then in the amazon series, That damn radio showed up in Alastor lore again. Dressed up more, adore with branches that look like antlers and leaves. That very radio was also hanging out on the coffee table in the beginning of episode 2. The show has peppered the existence of this same radio in the background. Looking unassuming despite it's more dressier style to be just any regular radio. I wonder if the radio will have a focus at one point if there is enough time.
Those screams Alastor broadcast, its not a recording but play live. The souls trap in a pocket dimension inside his tabletop radio. I also, think he can manipulate their voices to do the laugh track and such.
On another note but somewhat related...
He possibly try to make a deal with them. He couldn't convince the other overlords to sign their lives over in a deal to obtained their power. So in the classic, 'If you are not with me, your against me' He took their souls still in another way to gain their power. Possibly offer the deal again to own their souls to let them out of his radio when he actually need them. Who knows, this is all B/S im spitting out. I don't personally head canon this part as Alastor seem to offer deals, but he never forces it or pressure people into it. He appears to offer it and drop the matter when its declined.
What keeps me puzzled is how Zestial managed to escape the fate. It been pointed out hes been in power longer than the other overlords. Was he just that much more powerful than Alastor that Alastor was wise enough to not make an attempt? Alastor appear slightly on edge when Zestial met up with Alastor right before their overlord meeting.
Carmilla seem to be around before Alastor too and she seem to gotten a pass too. Alastor knew he couldn't go against angelic weapons?
Did Alastor met Rosie before his carnage in Hell and became friends so she got a pass?
I have a small headcanon why Alastor seem to 'spare' a few overlords. I mention in another post, I believe Alastor already sold his soul while alive in exchange for voodoo. Not fully realizing 'Hell is forever' would really entailed. That his body count from his murders also somehow benefit his master in Hell. (Roo? Signs point to Roo for me) So then he dropped, Alastor was still too useful and did a good job while alive so he was granted powers nearly immediately when he died which is unheard of. Which explains why he was so powerful so quickly.
He also was probably commanded to kill a bunch of overlords. His master wanted the chaos of the power vacuum while strategically place Alastor in power position while his master can pull the strings in the background unnoticed.
Just like in life, Alastor carefully selected his targets. He went for the overlords who seem to treat their contracted souls like shit. Carmilla, Zestail, and Rosie seem to treat their soul underlings with some level of respect. Alastor, being a contracted soul, appreciated that so he purposely did not sought after them.
He fulfilled his mission. Created a power vacuum temporarily, getting rid of old overlords that reign for centuries for new faces, while giving himself a reputation and a power position. It benefit him greatly. He left mostly to his own devices. Occasionally his chain his tugged but it was surprisingly far inbetween. But when it is tugged, its in a choking hold.
I really rambled off in the end. I been suffering from this terrible cold for about two weeks and my mind cant focus. I only really wanted to post about the souls trapped in Alastor radio but then I just kept going. Oh well. Hopefully all my thoughts and rambles was interesting.

I keep thinking about how people want the Agarthans to be victims. Not so much that people are saying they did nothing wrong, but a lesser evil compared to Rhea and the Nabateans. I'd ask myself why people would want such a thing, as even in the route where you side with them they're made out to be evil that will be exterminated, but I wouldn't have to think about why that as. The answer is simple, they validate Edelgard's killing of Rhea.
And, really, it fits with stuff I've seen since the game came out. The people claiming that despite Silver Snow and Verdant Wind being routes where big reveals to the lore are given to the player they, alongside Azure Moon, lie to the player and that Edelgard is the only one to tell them “the truth.” Or that said lore pops out of canon once the player decides to side with Edelgard. They want to ignore that the same route not only paints Edelgard as a liar often enough that a chapter titled “Lady of Deceit” begins and ends with her lying to her army, but also reveals that Edelgard herself knows that her source was an Agarthan puppet yet she is still clinging to that narrative. They'll claim it's all a matter of what the player believes to be true and tell people to disregard the game's creators saying that they built Fodlan to support the story of Silver Snow, and that while Flower is about believing something else, how that leads to not only mowing down everyone who stands in your way because of those beliefs but also ends up with tyranny and oppression under the path of supremacy.
Or we'll get people who ignore that Claude's route talks about how we need to let go of misconceptions we may have about others by getting to know them, and how Claude's misconceptions about the Church may have been caused by the Agarthans feeding him info to turn him against Rhea. No, instead Claude is a manipulative schemer who should have killed Rhea as his final boss after learning about her past and how his ancestors profited off the slaughter of her people, and that Golden Wildfire is who Claude really is and his good route.
Because people want to believe that Houses is this morally grey game, where everyone is a hero from their POV. But let's look at that. As mentioned, Claude's POV blaming the Church is ultimately framed as him having misconceptions, and once he got to know them he realized that Rhea didn't have to be his enemy in achieving his goals. Not only that, he realizes the Agarthans tried to manipulate him like he says they did to Edelgard, and ends up taking them out before finishing off Nemesis. Dimitri's POV is based on his survivor guilt and belief that he needs to live for the sake of avenging those who died. He grows out of this thanks to Byleth teaching him he needs to live for the sake of the living and for himself, all while taking the Agarthans out by complete accident while Edelgard's ideals are presented as demonic while Dimitri's beliefs make him a savior. Meanwhile, Edelgard's POV is based on what her father told her despite her knowing he was an Agarthan puppet. She can't be swayed her path as she tries to lie and manipulate those around her, and the world supports the route where Byleth leads the Black Eagles away from her influence (making it so that the Black Eagles are the only class who can get their story-related character development joining any other class). It's either that, or you ignore the world building to walk a path that is based around hadou, which has negative connotations especially when contrasted with oudou, which is what Dimitri's route is supposed to lead to.
You can ignore this growth if you play Hopes, but Hopes is supposed to show how much of an influence Byleth has on their class and is not supposed to replace that experience. Shez can't give Dimitri or Claude the character growth they would have gotten to see the problems with their POV, nor can they stop the Eagles from supporting Edelgard. Shez just seems to go with whatever the lord says, adapting to the route being played, and as such enables each lord's behavior. Not to mention that Shez is hinted to be from Agartha himself, and even then the Agarthan POV doesn't paint them in a positive light.
So, really, what are people saying when they want the Agarthans to be the sympathetic villains rather than the game wanting us to feel sorry for the Nabateans? That they feel the game not doing so is a flaw despite the Agarthans being so racist that they view everyone else as non-human animals and therefore it's okay to experiment on them? That we should support their genocide of the Nabateans because Edelgard said things used to be better despite the reveal that they're the ones who gave mankind Crests while making themselves out to be gods? We should still think that the Church are the bad guys when the Agarthans are the ones behind the experiments, Duscur, the death of Claude's uncle, and so much more? Or that Nemesis was a good king who was demonized by history rather than the power-hungry asshole he's depicted as, the only real misconceptiont here was that he ever was a hero in the first place rather than the tyrannical bandit he actually was.
In the end, it's just people not wanting to let go of their own misconceptions about Fodlan. They don't want to see Fodlan for how it really is. If anything, Houses can serve as a deconstruction of the idea of Death of the Author. It's a game with some very direct messages, but the routes where the player diverges away from those messages (Flower and the entirety of Three Hopes) it leads to bad endings because, at the end of the day, Fodlan was built around those messages. It was built about the need to see people for who they really are rather than who we think they are, as Edelgard being revealed not to be the heroine but rather the villain is the twist of the game who needs to be removed from power. Also that people supporting each other is a far better outcome than everyone being left to fend for themselves, especially when the people at the top use their power to benefit others. But it's up to people to do that themselves, to figure things out for themselves rather than fall into the trap.
Otherwise, we're left with people defending the likes of the Agarthans.

I also think Falena might not be all that either. There's an episode in the lion king talking (singing?) about Scar's past and I can clearly see that Mufasa was at fault for what happened (I mean the other lion and Scar's actions were wrong too but Mufasa was kind of like the trigger)
It made me really frustrated with how everyone blames the villains and never the heros. The same thing in the live action of Alice in Wonderland as the white queen was totally responsible for how her sister ended up and yet she even hesitated to apologise to the red queen at the scebe were they were taken to the sisters' past
NAH, OKAY LETS BE FOR REAL. This event I'm hearing about (only hearing about because it's only on the Japanese server right now so maybe everything I hear isn't true now keep that in mind), is making me rethink a lot of things about Leona. Long rant below.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm low-key hyped to finally see Falena (he better have a good amount of melanin, I swear to god), I'm personally hoping he's a bit of a himbo but I realize that probably won't happen. Anyways, I've been hearing a lot of theories from people who are able to play the new event. Here are a few that I really want to believe so I'm choosing to believe until proven wrong:
I saw some people upset that when we finally got a Savanaclaw event, Leona and Jack were in it, but not Ruggie. I thought it was a little strange, until I saw someone suggest this: What if the reason Ruggie didn't come, is because Leona knows that Ruggie probably doesn't like the royal family due to how they rule the country and forget his people, the hyenas? That makes complete and total sense to me. I'll come back to this point in a second.
If you analyze Lion King lore, apparently Scar was often regarded as a weak and sickly lion and was thus not fit for even hunting. So he was kind of seen as useless, no matter how much he tried. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar dynamic with Leona being disliked for not being as strong as his elder brother Falena. Which is messed up, because there's more to a person than just physical strengths.
Apparently in the new event, Leona mentions how he wants to use his fourth year at NRC to look into technology that might be used to improve the lives of people in his country. Which speaks VOLUMES. Especially when it's also mentioned that Falena, the current king, thinks the opposite. He thinks people should be focused on connecting with nature again. This brings me back to point one. I think the people Leona wants to help are those most in need, aka the hyenas, but as a second prince never listened to, he has no power to help with this. And maybe that used to torment him a lot and might've been a role in his overblot. Please tell me, is Falena even concerned for the hyenas? I seriously think he doesn't even care for them. In fact, I wouldn't even be surprised if Falena doesn't really approve of Leona and Ruggie's friendship.
As for Alice in Wonderland, I didn't even like the White Queen in the first one. Turns out my dislike towards her was totally valid. Like, if the White Queen had just told the truth the Red Queen would've never gotten that head injury, countless people wouldn't have died, they never would've had that huge conflict and war. You're telling me that after watching her sister get tormented, become kinda crazy, all this due to her mistake, and she never said a word? She never even apologized? Nah, be for real. The White Queen was so wrong for that. I totally get why the Red Queen was angry, because her sister's lie literally ruined her life.

Worldbuilding Questions: The Sinners not being treated like trash in Hell.
1. They are responsible for the yearly cleanse which sometimes results in angels leaving behind their weapons which as proven by Striker isn't just a problem for sinners but the nobles as well.
2. Lucifer rebelled because he refused to kneel before humans and sure you can bring up Lilith but i honestly don't know which lore about her Vivziepop is going with because there's a ton of different versions with the main consistent thing being she's Adam's first wife who believed in equal rights. Like she defied god and his plans so I'm leaning towards Lucifer seeing her as an exception. Also its weird Lilith is drawn as white when she should be middle eastern (because that's where a lot of the bible takes place) or african (humans came from africa according to palentology).
3. Sinners cause chaos in their wake in just pentagram city alone we have territorial violence every saturday which would probably make Hellborn who travel to pride have a miserable experience.
4. Also why does Hell have its technology line up perfectly with Earth? Like since it takes several decades on average for people to die on average wouldn't that mean that tech geniuses who kickstarted a tech revolution wouldn't show up until much later to bring it to hell? And then you have to consider some of those geniuses might end up in Heaven instead. Plus they can't even leave hell like the Hellborns so they can't just swoop in and attempt to have any status via technological advancements even if they are a tech genius who died young because they lack something made within the last few years to reconfigure for hell. Like do you think a succubus is going to hand a sinner a phone she found so they can invent the internet or create cellphones. Also would hell even have the same materials to create the tech?
5. Wouldn't it be logistically seen as a bigger scandal if Stolas got with a sinner instead of an imp? Like Lucifer hates them, your existence as demons is designed to fuck them over, and those assholes could've gone to heaven.
Like I get Charlie and Vaggie were initially written as friends in the pilot but now with the currently known lore. Vaggie dating Charlie should effect Charlie's reputation significantly. Even if we go with sinners being middle class like in canon... Vaggie barely has powers/isn't an overlord, the question regarding royal heirs, and she is literally a being that Lucifer would think is below Charlie.
It just doesn't make sense for sinners to not be treated awful in Hell. The only reason why they're in Hell is because they were terrible in their human life and are supposed to be punished because of it so for them to get off scott-free and do whatever they want doesn't make sense. Also the additional problems the sinners brought in Viv's Hell. Sinners are overpopulating Hell and it will make the Hellborns hate them because now there is a competition for food and space and to make it worst because of the overpopulation, Heaven is now involved and have to do a yearly purging. So the sinners are draining resources from the local species and brought Heaven into Hell, Hellborns greatest enemies that the imps have to clean up after because the angels aren't cleaning their mess. How are sinners not get punish here?
Lilith, I don't think counts as a human anymore because she did betrayed Adam and God and turned into a succubus. So maybe Lucifer sees her as an equal because of their similar backstories and relationship with God. I get what you're saying with Lilith, it does makes sense for her to be middle eastern but I think it's a Jesus situation. Where they both came from Judaism and were very obvious not white in their original appearance but due to centuries of the church rewriting and whitewashing Judaism to fit their religion, the popular interpretation of Jesus became white. Heck, even now when it now public knowledge Jesus wasn't white and was Jewish, people still draw him the white version more. Still not an excuse but I can see why Viv made Lilith white when most modern interpretation of Lilith is a white lady.
If TERF wars were so common and violence to the point, they make it to the local news, you would think they would show that in Helluva Boss.
I guess you can make the excuse, imps and demons stole knowledge from humans to make their technology as advanced as their. Belphegor did trick humans into making machines with the promised it would make them rich or help humanity but when they’re done building, Belphegor stole their inventions. Again though it still weird Hell is technology advanced as humans when Hell has it's own culture and history different from Earth. Even if Hell and Earth do have similar cities and technology, there would still be major differences between the two worlds.
In another Hell show where the world building was planned and thought out well, yes, but in Helluva, Hell's ranks shows imps are below sinners.
The pilot was so unplanned. Even when people use the excuse, it's just an pilot and they will explain the lore in detail in the show, a pilot should still have a basis understanding of it's own lore and show it. Charlie and Vaggie's relationship, friends or girlfriends would still be conversational. Not only for the reasons you mentioned but also Charlie was in a relationship with Seviathan Von Eldritch, a Hellborn prince but broke it off. Knowing how Hellborns can be petty and mean, when they see Charlie hanging around with some random sinner after she broke up with a prince, rumors will surely be made. Charlie was secretly seeing Vaggie when she was dating Seviathan, Vaggie trick Charlie into leaving Seviathan, Vaggie trick Charlie into wanting to help the sinner, Vaggie is only friends with Charlie because she only wants to move up ranks. These rumors aren’t true but that doesn’t matter because the Hellborn will treat them as truth to feel powerful than Charile. If this did happened it actually provide a reason why the sinners in the pilot didn’t respect Charlie or her plan because the rumors tainted her reputation and sinners are suspicious about her motives to help them. It fleshes out the sinners and gives them more of a character than them being mean to Charlie because they’re asshole despite Charlie being the daughter of Lucifer and she can torture them for being disrespectful.

Hi. I know ur very into Dirge (ff7) and wanted to know ur thoughts on the ending as i was confused. How did Wiess die, how long was he dead for and what was his and Nero’s plan? Ur a art account so don’t answer this if you don’t want to post not art content
HAHA oh anon, oh anon.
i'm always happy to blather about dirge but this... this goes into the deep lore. the forgotten lore. the lore of ancient bygone times.
by which i mean playonline.
playonline was a short lived multiplayer mode set in deepground where the player character is a tsviet. it lasted for about eight months and then went offline, and with it - went basically all of the lore surrounding deepground.
we're still missing a lot of information. but, we have a vague understanding of what's going on thanks to the cutscenes (which we also never got stateside) translated by grimoire valentine. you can watch that here and it explains a little bit.
the tl;dr is that Weiss had a virus in him and if he killed the Restrictors (DeepGround's jailers, there's a whole mess of lore there) then the time-release virus would be let loose and Weiss would be damning himself to die.
Now, this is sort of where things get shaky as we don't know how long it took the virus to kill Weiss, nor are we entirely certain when PlayOnline took place in the grand scheme of things. Rosso said that they killed their jailers three years ago, and at some point Weiss died and Nero started pretending to be Weiss to keep DeepGround in line, and then Hojo made contact with Nero and proposed the whole Omega deal.
But we don't know when any of these beats take place. Weiss could have been dead the full three years and Nero was just hanging out by his corpse in full delululand until Hojo found a perfectly good body just waiting to be inhabited. I think it's a safe bet to say that even if Weiss had died, Nero would have found a way to perserve the body in hopes of finding some kind of cure.
( There's also the possibility that Weiss' death was more a brain death and his body kept breathing / he was experiencing some kind of 'locked in' syndrome - again, we don't know!)
He also could have just been battling the illness and may have only died recently.
I believe it was said somewhere that he died while using his SND abilities to hunt for a cure, which probably only could have happened once the networks came back online. I was under the impression for years that Hojo possessed Weiss and told the plan to Nero, but after reading the Japanese script it seems that Nero knew it was Hojo the whole time and just went with it.
Again, shit is shaky. Hojo Jojo apparently needed the networks to come online in order to make contact with DeepGround again. We know that's fairly recent, as if I am remembering correctly, that's what the festival in Kalm is celebrating.
We also aren't sure if Weiss was involved in the plan, or if Nero had just lost his fucking mind at this point and was agreeing to do what Hojo proposed without considering that it was - y'know, Hojo. We do have Weiss' speech so it's entirely possible Weiss was still alive during this hunk of it and then died as things went on.
As for the plan - I gotta be honest, I don't think either of them were spearheading this thing. I'm pretty sure this whole hysterical idea came about because Hojo took advantage of Nero's intense grief and Nero was just doing shit without thinking too hard about it. He probably thought he was doing what Lucrecia did for Vincent, because I sure as shit don't think Nero would think destroying the entire planet to get his brother back would solve his problem of 'well fuck, we're separated by death'. So I'm not sure Nero even fully understood what would happen when Omega ascended until Hojo monologued about it and pissed him off enough to come back from the dead.
Nero and Weiss only really got a plan when Nero ( who, I'm still shaky on what's happening with Nero in those final moments. My best guess is his physical body finally gave out and due to Circumstances /gestures vaguely at chapter 9 of rebirth/ his soul can't go into the lifestream for Reasons) wrested control back from Hojo and fused with Weiss. They did intend to just give the middle finger to the planet and soar the stars, because at that point - what else can they do? But Omega was corrupted because Nero is as impure as things in the lifestream can get, and so they manifested a fucked up version of it.
My personal take is the brother's didn't fully fuse and that the "omega" weiss rides around in the Omega Weiss fight is what's left of Nero / is basically what Chaos would look like if Chaos wasn't using Vincent as a host? And the reason why Chaos "goes back to the planet" is because Chaos fucks off into Nero's body and Omega is still sort of chilling out in Weiss.

screw it, i'm talking about my Dsaf Warriors au anyway.
alright, slight worldbuilding stuff:
clans aren't exactly permanent. like, even the more permanent-ish ones shift and change a lot of the time.
^ slightly related, clans having actual leaders (nine lives and all) is now incredibly rare.
most groups in the forest are either small bands of rogues/loners or traveling groups of families and friends.
you can generally tell who is a Clan Descendant by their names and how they talk.
you've basically got Normal Starclan (doesn't really have actual souls and is more ruled by a council who makes all the decisions; will gladly revive young-ish cats if asked, on the condition that the cat in question will have amnesia, and will basically be turned into blank slates (this is the closest i could get to Phone Guys)), Fredbear's Side of Starclan aka The Flipside (where kits and elders typically end up, although he works to try and drag more souls there so that they can actually rest), and the Dark Forest/Void (a Lot of souls end up here, typically because the cats here died young/were murdered and want vengeance/want to avenge another family member/have general unfinished business)
souls also work funky. some souls have stars in their pelts while others appear shadowy, with their wounds visible. kits always have tear tracks running down their face, regardless of how their pelts show up. if a kit has a shadowy pelt...that's generally a sign that something...really fucking bad happened to them when they died. like a murder. that they're pissed about.
The Real Fredbear is a ghostly Labrador Retriever.
the main clan that's important to lore stuff right now is Bearclan (Fredbear's)
so, here's everything up to Henry being dragged into the void. enjoy (warnings for animal violence and animal death):
so, we start off with a cat named Rosesight (Henry; name is based off the fact that he's pink. also, it's a reference to the saying "rose-tinted lenses." i'll let you figure the rest out from there). he's basically the leader of Bearclan, right? started out as a kittypet (regular house cat, for those unaware), eventually worked his way up here.
one day, some cats in his clan go "hey man, uh, we've been smelling a fox around the territory, uh, it's been moving around a lot?? like it knows we'll be checking around its den sites?? could you go check it out??" and he goes "ugh fine you're all fucking idiots guess i'll deal with this too since you're all incompetent 🙄"
so he decides to stake out around one of the den sites, believing the fox to either be hiding out in this one or might try to move into this one the next morning. when the next morning comes, he hears shuffling around in the den, and only a few moments later, he comes face-to-face with a black fox with a collar around its neck.
(why is Dave a fox, you ask? well, we know, canonically speaking, that Dave's not a human, and that he's a cryptid. so, i decided to make Warriors!Dave a different animal instead of a cat. i feel like he gives off fox vibes)
Rosesight is about to attack this poor guy, given that he seems clearly surprised and wasn't expecting any visitors, until the fox starts...talking to him? wait, how the fuck-?
the fox, with what few words in cat he can speak, introduces that his name is William, and that he's been following his clan for several months, and that he wants to join. it seems that he was smart enough to know that walking up to a bunch of cats in the middle of the woods, who typically have to worry about foxes as a legitimate danger, was probably not going to end well for him.
so...what's our beloved fox friend doing here? why does he have a collar for? well, long story short: imagine Todd from The Fox and the Hound, but if he were kicked out into the forest after only about a month. that's sort of the situation we're dealing with here.
Rosesight goes "eh, why not? i could use extra help with my Plans™" William just goes "ooo free home! :D free family!! :D"
what are Rosesight's Plans™, you might ask? basically to Hack Death (he wants to kill enough kits that basically neither side of the afterlife wants him, and thus will just do whatever they can to keep him alive. which. That's Definitely Not Fredbear's Plan! He Wants That Fucker Dead So He'll Stop Causing Problems!)
Rosesight refuses to give William a proper warrior name, something that upsets him. he does, however, tear his collar off. Clan Cats Don't Wear Collars, After All (he definitely doesn't tear the collar off in a painless way, either).
eventually, Rosesight comes up with a plan to kill William by luring him over to a fox trap and letting it kill him. why? he doesn't think that William's exactly...helpful. besides, he's worried that if he tries to have William as a partner in his Child Murder Plans, that others will find out William was involved and immediately blame him for even allowing him in the clan to begin with. a good chunk of Rosesight's plan involves others trusting him, so this can't happen.
long story short: William died, repossessed himself before Starclan could intervene with literally anything, and then just kinda went about his life like nothing happened. Rosesight was intrigued by this, and decided to keep William around. maybe he could get William involved with his kit murders. he just needs to make sure he's prepared first, and won't screw anything up.
it's at this point we now get introduced to three (technically four) new cats: Redpatch (Peter), Tangerinetooth (Jack), and Heartkit (Dee). also technically Caroline, Redpatch's kittypet mate that he kinda sorta went to live with. the trio were a family of Clan Descendants, and they just kinda chill.
Heartkit and Tangerinetooth live in an abandoned, run down barn in a field on the edge of Bearclan's territory.
Heartkit is between 3.5-4 moons (months). she's rather young, but she's been weaned. for a kit her age, she is quite capable of caring for herself. okay...maybe she still needs assistance, given she is Basically A Baby, but you get the idea.
Rosesight, who Really doesn't like Tangerinetooth and doesn't want him in or around the territory, Wakes Up One Day And Chooses Violence (< is about to kill a man's sister to hopefully drive him out)
William Doesn't Want Him To Choose Violence (< grew close to Tangy and his sister, and really doesn't want to help kill Heartkit)
Heartkit Gets Kidnapped And Murdered By The River. Rosesight steals the ribbon tied around her neck and leaves her body there.
Tangy finds her body after waking up and noticing she was missing, buries her, and gets understandably pissed about the fact that she was murdered.
he decides to hunt Rosesight down to kill him, but unfortunately Rosesight is several steps ahead, and lures out a stray dog to maul him to death.
Fredbear revives him, but his soul, going by the name Blackjack, roams the Earth, following Rosesight and William around to hopefully drag one or both of them into the Void.
Heartkit, now a shadowy spirit, realizes that she can now guide other dead kits to The Flipside. she also begins to follow William and Rosesight, hoping to either rescue kits from being murdered, or to guide their souls to the afterlife. sometimes she succeeds in saving them, usually luring them off until Rosesight and William leave under the guise of going off to play a game or to try and get help.
Rosesight also just kinda. repeatedly kills William. mostly by strikes to the head or around it. this starts to fuck William up mentally.
Rosesight runs into two cats on his Murder Adventures: Burntpelt (Steven; i can't think of names) and Redpatch. both of them witness him kill kits, try to stop him and get killed. Starclan brings 'em back, as blank slates, and they stay with the respective clans they were found by. Burntpelt gets his name changed to Clifffall (was found, barely conscious, by a cliff), and Redpatch is changed to Dogstrike (was also mauled by a stray dog. like his brother)
Rosesight tells William about his dead son, Violetkit. William, finally fed up of not having an actual warrior's name (and also, y'know, Very Fucked Up Mentally), decides to change his name to Violetsight, as a way of trying to make it incredibly clear that he wants to a) be taken seriously, and b) become Rosesight's son. Rosesight goes "What The Fuck" and just leaves him, going off on his own.
bad idea! because now Blackjack is dragging him into The Void!
so now we have Tangerinetooth, a Very Fucked Up Cat trying to save and release the souls of the dead kits, Violetsight, a Very Fucked Up Fox who's still committing kit murder, Heartkit trying to Also save and free the souls, Blackjack making sure Tangy stays on track, and Clifffall and Dogstrike, who have no memory of anything and are basically just doing what they've been told to do (run their respective Very Dysfunctional Clans).
and, of course, Rosesight deciding to cause Problems from the Void.
feel free to ask questions! this is just a very basic run down of the first half of the plot.

A bit of a crack theory but I wonder(based on the previous anon ramble)...Sun can use star power, not the same as Lunar but he's arguably the most skilled person alive(since KC is dead) who isn't an astral that can use it, and he can use magic but just doesn't and nobody ever bothered to teach him, and even if the gaming videos aren't exactly canon new Moon said in one of the most recent ones he hates magic and doesn't want to use it, I have no idea if Lunar can even use magic because didn't Golden Freddy say somewhere that magic and star power are antithetical to one another? Either way what I am trying to get at is that Sun has some experience channeling star power and casting magic, who says he couldn't end up mastering and using both at once? He's not an astral so if magic and star power don't mix he wouldn't just automatically implode or something if he used both at once and was careful with it, imagine if he was actually allowed to be smart and competent and be taken seriously as one of the main characters again? Since right now he really feels a bit like a side character how in many of the recent episodes there's some excuse to ditch him in the first 5-10 minutes (in the lore episodes anyways he's in the gaming ones all the way through), though I would fear that if he became that powerful everyone would start going "he's mad with power!" for no good reason This is a bit of a crack idea I'll admit
(small note here- I stared to not believe the gameplays are really part of the lore as they used to be. I feel like. in lore, the logic is that they record a hell lot of videos and post them slowly- while they can not control what part of their life is actually posted in the channel- is why you get a rather happy moon right after his best friend just died.. hah just my hc to not fully believe most gameplays!) wait anon I love your idea here! but keep in mind- when he "shoot" Eclipse with his own magic, he did get "ruined" badly, but clearly he survided this- and a whole ass space lab explotions - dude here be like the ultimale life form! I do do believe IF IF Sun gets to maybe master his powers - because we know he was training in secret before NewMoon found out... who is to say he is back at it again? to train again! but- I feel the bigger issue here is the trauma related to helping using magic- last time he did, Moon got reset.. if he does try again- I feel is because he is so deeply mad, or so deeply desperate for all this to end.. we know he used to get emotional.. Solar death even if the two were not close, did hurted him, maybe because he now see his brother sad- that makes him sad.. so that makes him want to step in- because just like old Moon- new Moon is working himself til complete tiredness.. so say- Sun does get to train- he is master in Magic- once again- the idea is that he wants to protect his family-- I think the only bad thing is now the "mad with power" but the "im not so weak now huh?" mentality.. he goes to beat Eclipse just because he keeps bothering Moon, he hunts down BM because they took the FC.. and finally.. face Ruin.. and is here when moon needs to stop him.. BUUUUT that means make Sun important again! sadly.. seems like the show will only Focus on Moon for a long month.. BUT I LOVE YOUR IDEA ANON!!

Help my raid team believes with all their heart that nezarec was a guardian at some point in the lore. For my sanity I need you to explain this to me
I don't know where they got that from tbh. Genuinely interested to know what are their arguments.
Nezarec played his part and died before Guardians existed and remained inactive until the raid. Outside of influencing people through the sheer Darkness and power that come from his body, he has not been really alive until now. The raid cutscene says that he was accidentally "revived" by the Traveler's terraform beam since his body was in the Pyramid hit by the beam. He didn't become a Guardian though nor was he one before.
We have confirmation that he is a really old alien creature by the virtue of him being initiated into disciplehood by Rhulk, probably long before anyone on Earth existed. We also got it confirmed that he heavily influenced the Psions which is also something that happened ages ago before any Guardian existed.
This raid also confirmed that he was killed by Savathun during the Collapse and his Pyramid crashed on the Moon. Guardians did not exist then. Pretty much his first interaction with anything Guardian related is this raid. An interesting thing that was also said in the raid is that Nezarec has no clue what was happening to his body parts, not directly in any way. His lines from the raid:

Really intriguing since he was obviously able to influence people with relics and his merchandise in general, as well as had people who swore on being his followers for generations, but he does not appear to have any recollection of this. He asks us if anyone suffered from his pieces and wonders if we could tell him who took them.
He does have knowledge of us and of our past, but speaks of us as not a group he belongs to:
Tumblr media
Here he has a whole thing about praising for us being efficient at killing and asking us if we enjoy the final screams of our enemies and so on.
He basically died before Guardians were created and he stayed dead since, with people picking on his body parts. The Hunter chest piece from the raid set also shows that:
Tumblr media
So he wasn't secretly rezed as a Guardian after dying or something. Also, I've only seen him in the post-raid cutscene so far, but if that thing has ever been a Guardian, we would've known. He's literally an alien from before Guardians existed. His remaining body parts have apparently been collected by the Witness and placed in a tomb which is in the raid:
Tumblr media
He definitely influenced people, possibly even humans. There's a few other unknowns as well, but nothing to imply that he was ever a Guardian. He influenced a Guardian, which can be seen in the Titan raid set. Maybe they confused it with him? The people named in the raid gear are his acolytes, spreading his cult or whatever it would be called.
There's an unknown person in the new lore that apparently has the "scent" and "vibe" as Nezarec and that goes around recruiting acolytes and apparently looks like a normal human. Possibly someone passing down the knowledge about him. This person claims to have had the knowledge of Nezarec run in his family and carries an old tome with information about him, probably the Of Hated Nezarec text because it's quoted in the raid sparrow. It also does not appear that acolytes become acolytes entirely willingly. Description of the tome and how it's about "an ancient being":
Tumblr media
Unless I'm seriously misreading something or there's a huge reveal in the raid boss fight where he tells us he's been a Guardian and shows his Ghost, I don't think that makes any sense. Purely timeline wise. He obviously wasn't a human on the account of literally being an alien and predating humanity. And he's been dead (also uses the word "trapped") ever since Savathun put him in timeout.

Grian’s alliance with Cleo and Etho (a big rant looking at this little cube’s actions)
I’m trying to look at this lore wise. I tried to make it as accurate as I could but, eh
When he built his base, those endless stairs interlocking with each other he disliked them and tried to burn them.
I think it’s not until his Double Life like task with Joel it is when realizes he’s got no friends or allies. And throughout the episode he continues to be rejected by Joel as his “best friend” and he’s only called to explain the rules. (Maybe, just maybe, he starts to regret the loneliness of a watcher? Regret his own game?)
And so at the end of that day, he build the egg. A shell to protect himself. Only making him lonelier. “We built an egg. I love it. It’s my favourite. I wanna keep it” he says, as he tauntingly lits it on fire. “Why don’t I like anything I create?” “It’s lonely, I hate living in that egg” Because deep down, he dislikes that shell that keeps him from anyone else.
Tumblr media
More than allies, what he wanted was friends. He even goes to scar.
And then, he goes to Etho and Cleo. And despite them saying many times yes to his friendship request, he still asks as if he didn’t believe it.
“Guys I have friends. All I had to do is ask, all you have to do is ask. It’s easy!” He goes to burn the egg. Burn the shell that kept him hidden and away from everyone else.
Some stairs remain unburned.
For some reason, he treats his friendship with Etho and Cleo more like a trade. “”What do I have to do to be friends?” “A deal is a deal” “We’re helping our new best friends Cleo and Etho on the one condition that I make a little shrine for the beds” (When the only “condition” Etho sets is not to burn the base)
“I made promises I can’t keep” “That is not my problem. Too trustworthy” he tells Cleo and Etho, maybe as a warning he sometimes does impulsive things.
But looking at their alliance/friendship now, it’s very heartwarming to see how he found a place where he’s safe and sure his teammates support him.
After Mumbo died in the nether, he was unable to do something, probably feeling bad. And during the apocalypse he calls himself a coward for not saving Joel, and for staying in safety in the sky.
But then there’s his teammates: Etho, who was the one that offered friendship (although Grian seemed to not notice or take it seriously at first before practically begging for it), he who didn’t haunt him or Cleo down in the apocalypse and protected them and didn’t called him out while being invisible. Him who insisted his death wasn’t Grian’s fault. And Cleo, who gave him diamonds, who he is now sure would punch ANYONE who tries to hurt him or Etho.
He is now so sure of his friendship, he’s not lonely anymore and while the stairs remain, while he sometimes feels powerless or like a coward or aware of the chaos he can bring, he know he’s at a safe place.

Sally Williams headcannons? 😋
HELL YEAH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE I LOVE SALLY SO MUUUCHHH, She's not THAT important in my AU but she serves an important character role as she is close to all of the lore important characters (Slender/Zalgo, Lazari, Ben, EJ, Laughing Jack+Jill) so she does serve an overarching purpose. However she just isn't that involved in the greater story.
Backstory: Sally was one of the first Creepypastas I ever learnt about! I even knew who she was before the popular ones like Jeff and Ben lol I actually got into Creepypastas properly after hearing her backstory, so I've got her to thank for how I turned out lol
Anyways...
Sally Headcanons
-Sally's one of the oldest 'beings' in the Forest, besides Slenderman and Laughing Jack+Jill. She was born in the late 50s and died in the mid 60s, making her old as HELL. However, in terms of the age she died, she's actually the youngest in the whole Labrinth.
-Since she died in the 60s, she's definitely a product of her era. Since every form of Ghost stays the same mentally and physically after death, she's definitely an old fashioned person. She doesn't really have 'traditional values' but she definitely finds it incredibly hard to understand certain 'modern aspects' of society and culture.
-She's often referred to as 'Grandma Sally' or as 'Wise Elder' by the younger beings that live in the forest. Majority of the time its used as an insult, since the spirits in the Forest don't like her.
-She ranks pretty high on the 'Ghost' Hierarchy, as she's a Spectre so she can actually achieve a corporal form under a certain set of conditions. In the Forest, she has a corporal form due to it being a Labrinth, therefore it not following natural laws, however in the Outside World she is a proper Ghost so she is invisible and cannot touch things.
-She finds it incredibly hard to understand modern technology. Since she retains the same knowledge capacity she had in life, you can explain how the Internet works to her about a million times and she still just won't understand.
-One thing she just doesn't understand is mobile phones. She only knows how to operate Payphones and Landlines, but she just doesn't understand how a phone works. She SCREAMED the first time she saw one as she believed it was some form of Magic.
-Sometimes she'll secretly watch over the Proxies when they're on missions. They only realised recently, and sometimes use her when they think she'll be useful.
Another Incorrect quote for you:
Masky: Okay Sally if we don't come back in an hour, call Slender for assistance. Sally: I can't. Masky: Why? Sally: I don't have any quarters. *Masky facepalms*
-She's a sassy ass Ghost, and only really pretends to be nice in front of newer residents or in front of the 'adults' like the Proxies, Slender, Jeff etc. Ben, Lazari, Lulu and the younger Pastas definitely know her bs.
-Her best friend is Lazari, and they go on wacky adventures like Jeff and Ben do except its WAY more chaotic, it's very fun to watch them wrestle a ghost for stealing Mr. Death from Sally.
Sally is the brains and Lazari is the brawns (since she's a half demon she's got superman levels of brute force strength).
-Since none of the Ghosts like her and Ben besides Lucy, she often gets into fights with them and boasts about how she can touch things whilst they can't. That's actually the reason why they hate her.
-Ben is sort of like an older brother to her. He often messes around with her and they have tea-parties together with Lazari, sometimes forcefully bringing Jeff along.
-Whilst Nina is gifted at reading who you are as a person, Sally is good at reading your emotions at any given moment. She's good at figuring out peoples needs and what kinda of trauma they could be suffering from. Because of this many newer Pastas tend to gravitate towards her since she'll pick up on the way they'll want to be treated.
-She both adores and is deadly terrified of Slender and Zalgo. Whilst she likes them when they're normal, and especially loves Slender when it's Charles in charge of the body, she's terrified of them when they're in their more 'demonic' states. She hates the Operator due to all the additional trauma he's given her and she doesn't really go near Zalgo due to his violent tendencies.
-Mr. Death is her comfort item, so if you DARE try and touch it without her permission she'll fucking kill you.
-As she's a ghost, she can possess inanimate objects temporarily which she likes doing to scare people, or sometimes do nice things. She once possessed Natalie's stuffed giraffe to say some kind words to her, which worked.
-She's just as capable of being nice as she is capable of being mean. However she is very kind majority of the time, just as long as you don't piss her off, or mention John Williams in ANY SORT OF WAY.
Being serious here. Any mention of John will get you a nasty smack from most residents in the mansion.
-She doesn't swear in any shape or form, as she believes it's unlady-like (remember, traditional values sort of), but she has been known to have used 'Frick' on the record at least once. She doesn't even really say 'Jesus Christ' or use the lord's name in vain, as she grew up Christian (most people were in the 60s but I'm not sure if that was confirmed or anything).
-She LOVES all of the female Pastas (Natalie, Jane, Zero, Dina etc) and often has sleepovers with them and Lazari. Her and Lazari basically do everything together and you don't really see the two apart unless if they've had a fight.
-However she has a complicated relationship with the male pastas. She's neutral towards most of them, but really dislikes Masky and Hoody alongside Jeff as they're almost impossible to read. She's definitely the closest with Ben and EJ, as they both see her as a little sister figure.
She and Laughing Jack+Jill have the most complicated relationship. Due to their personal hatred of children (besides for when he's trying to kill them), it took a long time for the two of them to get along. She likes stacking donuts on his nose when he's asleep.
-She's aware of Lazari's half-sisters, although Lazari isn't, and sometimes delivers presents to her from them.
-Due to being born during the Cold War, she's quite confused about the difference between the Soviet Union and Russia. Weird headcanon but I feel like it would be funny if there was an interaction like;
Sally: Hey did the USA finally beat the Commies? Lazari: Girl what is a Commie Sally: You know, like the Soviet Union? Did we finally beat them and the evil Russian spies? Jeff: GIRL WHAT
-She wants to be apart of the Mansion's Literature Club, however Ben consistently rejects her, much to her chagrin. She mainly wants to join because she wants to figure out what the hell a Fanfiction is and why Nina is so good at writing them.
-Due to the fact that the Mansion has unrestricted internet access and Sally doesn't know enough about the internet to know how to be safe on there, she's seen...stuff.
She accidentally stumbled across Ben's search history whilst trying to use Google and THE HORRORS SHE SAW ON THERE THAT POOR POOR GIRL.
-She actually really likes My Little Pony and has some of the figures. She's blissfully unaware of what a Bronie is, thank the lord.
Her favourite character is Pinkie Pie, of course.
-She often leaves the Labrinth secretly with Lazari to mess with the local kids, and the two of them have gathered somewhat of a name for themselves.
-She often randomly gives long and philosophical speeches about life despite being mentally around 8 years old. Sometimes when Toby's having a meltdown she'll just talk about the meaning of life and family loss and everyone will just sit there in awe.
Then she'll go quiet and act like nothing happened.
There you go, some Sally headcanons! I've got a lot in terms of her connection to the overarching lore of my AU, so if you want I'll give you those too!
