Sam's a very pretty young woman. Beautiful smile (with too sharp teeth), lovely eyes (but they're a little too wide, a little too bright), fantastic skin (unnaturally pale, suspiciously cold), and a very pretty face (perfectly symmetrical)-first glance anyone who leans towards women would get instant butterflies in the stomach.

But Constantine's been around danger enough to recognize those aren't butterflies.

That's fear.

There's a deep, instinctual fear that is telling him he has to run.

it wasn't quite a dream, but more a rambling thought as i was falling asleep, but, was a cardinal like Machete ever asked to officiate weddings? I dont even know if thats a thing cardinals would be asked to do, much less had the personal for that kind of thing, but imagine being asked by a major political hardcore catholic family to do so and only accepting because you know your secret boyfriend is also attending as a political figure and you get to almost secret pretend its your twos wedding

I'm actually not sure, I've never thought about it. He'd definitely have the full rights to officiate weddings, you don't lose the eligibility to perform sacraments when you get elevated from an ordinary priest to a bishop and then a cardinal. But I think once you get into these high positions you kind of grow out of the priestly role and spend less time doing ground-level work. I imagine that weddings of important nobles and royalty were likely presided over by bishops and cardinals.

The scenario is endearing so I choose to believe that it could've happened.

me after attempting to get back into sims and realizing i had a lot more to do than play the game

#hi everyone #I’m going around hugging you all #okay now that we are gathered here today #i will simply acknowledge that i have been gone for a very long time and then also acknowledge that maybe it was for the best #i relied on sims to be my only creative activity even if i tried to write a book at the same time #and also. i prioritized sims over real life responsibilities. that’s just a deadly combination lol #but I recently noticed I just replaced sims with Netflix. with YouTube. with anything that gave me quick dopamine #literally became addicted in a sense. still am but I’ve been cut cold turkey from most everything #I get off work and go. okay I’ve done the dishes and the laundry……..I could read or write or bake….#I try to write and sometimes i get a good hour #then I read for a few hours and then get tired of it #and I made cookies Tuesday so I’m waiting for those to be gone before baking again #I’m just so pitiful that I feel BORED and don’t know what to do #so I said….. okay what if I do sims for an hour.#I downloaded some new cc Tuesday and tried to play yesterday #y’all ……………….. I can’t find the energy anymore to set up elaborate scenes and pose my sims and plan posts #I said wow… this is boring without my intervention and fake story #I said wow…….. all this for what? for tumblr? yes I created cool things and provided joy. but is that inherintly important compared to my #own joy? my own everyday activities I should be doing?#y’all I do not leave the house unless we got out to eat or shop or travel to our parents #.. I have little desire to. I just had no drive to do well #I’m still working on it. I’m still trying to get caught up. The fact that the CEO of the Tourette Association of America (the ONLY major charity for people with TS in the USA) does not have Tourette's, nor does she have any family members with it, never ceases to make me mad

#ive met and talked to her too and she was extremely condescending #like she doesn't have TS herself and doesn't have family members with it why is she the ceo of the TAA????#and afaik she only became ceo in 2018 #and the ceo before her was someone with a tourettic family member #she was promoted to ceo due to the other one retiring and because she has nonprofit business experience #which is great! but are there no people with nonprofit business experience that have TS that could've been considered #idk maybe I'm getting worked up for no reason

I’m just going to show you some progress photos of my Vash plushie. He exists because of my incredible need to hug the guy. The doll is very floppy, which makes him highly posable and very huggable (but also makes me feel sorry for him when he’s hanging limply in my grasp). His hair needs to be styled to stick up, but for that you only need to run your fingers through it a few times and it stays that way.

I’m a trash artist and all the materials, except for some of the pearls and rivets, were things I already happened to have. No patterns exist (other than the eyes, as seen here) and the whole thing was improvised on the go.

The next time I’ll share photos of this plushie, he’ll be finished. I only need to add some little details first. ^^

I always ask the very good question of ‘if rhaenyra wanted to rule successfully and shut the greens down before they could gain traction why didn’t she foster more alliances besides with the velaryons and arryns’ like alliances aren’t just marital you can foster good relations and give lords attention and listen to them personally (since you have a dragon that gives you increased travel mobility) and make them feel important. She’s a woman in a misogynistic society and has three brothers (along with two nephews) that many would consider heirs above her, I genuinely don’t understand why she didn’t realize how weak her position was and work to combat it. She just squatted on dragonstone for years to the point that a betrayal from house Baratheon (who are literally just across the channel) came out of nowhere to her. She just expected they’d be her allies bc she didn’t consider the rumors about her sons might anger the baratheons. She knows she has two unmarried brothers that the greens could use to form marital alliances, why didn’t she try to figure out which great house with eligible daughters was their target? It’s just bizzare. I would’ve been visiting all the time to check the vibes at storms end and trying to charm them into forgetting they aren’t Actually related to my heir. Granted she’d have a harder time of it bc misogyny & her habit of lying but if she gave an effort the greens would’ve had a much weaker leg to stand on. It’s like she grew up so entitled/watching her stupid father flounder in KL that she forgot being a monarch is an actual job that requires networking with everyone and not one or two houses. She finally started networking during the war by sending her heir to treat with the north but by then it was too damn late to stop the war from happening. I blame viserys for being a fuckup bad example to her and I also blame Targaryen exceptionalism for making her ego & sense of delusional entitlement worse.

#I mean she’s also a misogynist but that’s digressing #her sense of hypocrisy was what started putting me off her reading f&b #I don’t believe she would’ve given women more rights to inheritence #(that also affects lowborn ppl not just nobility bc lowborn ppl own businesses or property just a smaller scale)#‘I will create a new order’ WHEN!!#heirs have considerable pull in westeros they form alliances and their own court #she just isolated herself instead of uniting the realm to her and making the greens & hightowers stand alone #you could’ve started your new order years before your brothers became an issue at all #I would’ve been working my ass off from the very day aegon was born #just to confirm that I was a legitimate option as heir

personal 2023 highlights!!!!:

started teaching myself how to make a video game!!!!!

tho it still needs work, i started learning different line art techniques

did a whole week of kuukou art and i’m pretty proud of the final products lol

learned to make a simple ice cream from scratch

sonic frontiers the final horizon changed the trajectory of my entire life

met mito youhei from slam dunk 🫶

rhyme anima s2 depicted kuukou in a way that didn’t fill me with dread every week lmao

hypstage may have ended but it gave us one of the best lives this year, stage bb won their championship, i got my ideal 2nd drb finals thru them, and they kept putting out banger after banger with each rep live they were so powerful 😔🙏

found a goal to try and work on and started working full time hours to achieve it ✌️

#this is vee speaking #where’s the hypstage fan questionaire i want an excuse to ramble about stage stuff i occasionally think about lmao #i only really felt productive towards the end of the year like that’s when i discovered new goals #but that is mostly because original plans i was working towards never became available lmao #but i’m having fun planning shit now comes the adjustment period as i figure out how to make it happen with a new schedule lol #this wasn’t the biggest year for kuukou but we got plenty i think!!!!!!!!#besides the anime we got get busy and kuukou was a subtle but important factor in the bp story #bat’s rep live was legendary for a multitude of reasons #stage kuukou was primarily in charge of the hype in bop2023 which was sick to see (go off hirono-san 💜)#and for the 6th anniversary party they let hayama-san drop the biggest news of the event and he did so with kuukou flare 💜#2023 was a fun year personally!!!!!!!! i learned a lot about myself as well that’s a little bit more positive than previous years lol

What's happening with MAPPA ?

Their scheduling is simply terrible and its killing animators on the inside. Many big name animators are posting online how little of a time they are being given to work on the episode. I have seen one artist post how they only have 5 days (!) to draw a sequence. The Choso vs Yuji episode only finished post-production BARELY A DAY before it aired. It's insane.

Shibuya Arc is action-heavy and the expectations for the animation is high. Artists HAVE to deliver high quality work on the project because their reputation is on the line.

Some of the artists have been posting how hellish it is to work on MAPPA. The director of the last episode felt so bad about how "terrible" it is and apologized. Some have barely enough time to submit their sketches, in-between art, key frames, corrections, etc.

Now, for us, the episode is great. However, "sakuga" fans are more discerning and would see how its faltering in some parts. They can tell how the staff is struggling and are being forced to produce "subpar" results because of the 7 day production schedule.

*Sakuga = High quality Animation = 24 frames (drawings) per second

The staff takes great pride in their work. So, having to deliver subpar "sakuga" to audiences is horrible for their mentality and confidence. They do not want that to be their legacy - which is a big deal for them.

Think these episodes look great already? Had the animators have more time, they would have looked even better!

The fact that the staff can still make episodes look so good by sheer will and god-like drawing skills despite their schedule should be given a lot of respect and admiration.

Now, why haven't the staff been given more time?

It's because MAPPA is greedy. Not only is the studio producing JJK. They have other big projects going on alongside it: AOT, Vinland Saga, CSM. All of them had to look good. The staff have barely any time to breathe as they are treated like machines to deliver high quality animation season after season.

While CSM is being produced, the staff are already working on JJK 0 and then JJK S2 Hidden Inventory. It resulted with CSM's last few episodes being janky. JJK 0 was great and Hidden Inventory, obviously, was really polished (at the cost of Hell's Paradise being average imo tho).

Then we have Shibuya Arc. In all honesty, I wished they have delayed this a bit later. Maybe turned it into a winter season anime because again Shibuya Arc is:

Very very hyped. It HAS to look good and polished.

Lots of Action. Action is like the crowning jewel of any shonen anime and JJK has the reputation of being the best at delivering it. They CANNOT mess this up. *Cue PTSD to the insane complaints of the Toji vs Gojo Round 2 + Yuji vs Locust Curse episodes*

The solution should have been: Delay the anime so the animators can breathe and deliver their best which would make Shibuya Arc as polished, if not better, than Hidden Inventory.

Sadly, with MAPPA's insanity, it is impossible:

The staff are juggling so many high-tier projects. They have no room to "take their time" so to speak. They have to "GO! GO! GO!"

The "airtime" has already been reserved. Any delays would cost them losing a slot of airtime which meant the series MAY NOT completely be televised (which I think was the fate of ZOM100). Lost airtime means lost profit and MAPPA can't have that.

Fan anticipation. I wish I could lie about it but I just know some entitled assholes would harass the studio and the staff about animating Shibuya Arc ASAP. Fans can really put a lot of hype and pressure for JJK at the same time.

Now here are just my own opinion. But other factors may be:

4. MAPPA wants to capitalize Halloween. Just look at all the merch and collab events! All profits from those would go to the studio and not Gege. Gege's profit are JUST from the manga. Anime-related merch/products would be for the benefit of its manufacturers, studio, and shops only.

5. Timing things with the manga. Prime example: Gojo. (I am not too sure about this tho).

One reason I am excluding is the staff not working on the project because they may be busy with something else. JJK is a huge! New animators would love to have that as part of their portfolio. Big names in the industry would have wanted to work on it too because of the challenge it poses and their love for the manga series or animation in general as well.

TL;DR: It's all MAPPA's fault and not the staff. The studio wanted everything out of greediness while the animators just want to bring out their very best at their own pace.

#i'm so sorry that this became really long #but this is the gist of it i think #i may have missed or mixed up a few things #i'll clarify further when i have more time #but yeah... MAPPA is just too greedy and the animators suffer for it #hence why i am now hesitating about getting the blu-rays #blu-rays would have the most polished version of the animators' work and i wanna see them #but i would be lining the pockets of the higher-ups of the studio at the same time #i'm torn because i want to show appreciation of the staff but at the cost of inadvertently supporting MAPPA's terrible business practices #it is also the main reason why i have burning hatred for assholes who complain about 'wrong angles' or 'art style ugly' or 'staff used AI'#the animators are practically killing themselves to entertain us #the least we could do is appreciate them and find a way to alleviate their stress with kind words #instead of putting salt on their wounds with ignorant and entitled complaints #again sorry if this became really long #thanks for the ask
