the media which consumes your entire soul at age 12 will forever be a part of you. this is an unavoidable consequence of living and you have to accept this fact. no matter how old you get, no matter how long it has been since you last saw its smug face peeking out from the bushes as it follows you, no matter if you think you have outrun it for good and that you're finally finally safe and you hardly even remember it exists anymore and your brain knows a few brief moments of true peace, it WILL catch up to you in your moment of weakness. and listen you don't want to hear this but sometimes this is necessary for your mental health. you will on instinct want to reject it and run away again but sometimes. sometimes you just need to watch that old show or listen to that silly song or read that weird book again as an adult and it will hurt you a little bit in various little ways but it will also heal you a little bit. you can call it nostalgia you can call it connecting with your inner child or whatever you want but just listen to me it WILL HAPPEN TO YOU TOO AT SOME POINT AND YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR THIS (i am forcibly dragged off the stage by security)
#heed my warning boy#it seems i am not well today#recently made the reluctant decision to revisit what was probably my VERY FIRST real hyperfixation#something that i don't necessarily want to mention by name right now because. well#its pretty objectively bad LOL like i dont think i know of ANYONE still posting about it or really proud of having liked it back in the day#i dont think it is as well known to the general public so it wont get me hunted down for sport even if i did name it probably hopefully#but for those who know its. probably not the best thing to be revisiting lmao (even though i think it might still be being made?? wtf)#but i felt i had to because i was about to start my period and was going crazy insane like you do you know how it is#and i randomly remembered a fanfic i loved and then remembered my fav character and how much i loved him#my actual first ever blorbo oh my GOD he was everything to me#so i reluctantly decided to rewatch “just the first few episodes” just to see how much i remembered and also to prove to myself it sucks#but surprise surprise: nostalgia and hormones are making me actually kind of enjoy it#and now i am suffering from fucking Catholic-like Guilt for not hating it which i think is pretty silly lmao#so im kind of posting this in an attempt to convince myself that its like. FINE and cringe is dead and all that#and that sometimes i gotta be nice to my little mentally ill brain and give it the junk food (bad media) it craves#ESPECIALLY when im on my period LMAO#anyway completely unrelated: why the FUCK do i still remember almost every single fucking word to the delicious tomato song SDHJFKSAJF#i hope no one actually reads this far in the tags bc i know that reveal will probably deal psychological damage to some of you LMAO SORRYYY#ok yeah posting this and then immediately going to bed so that the Haters cant reach me LOL SEE YA

Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright • Chapter 24
Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 - Chapter 11 - Chapter 12 - Chapter 13 - Chapter 14 - Chapter 15 - Chapter 16 - Chapter 17 - Chapter 18 - Chapter 19 - Chapter 20 - Chapter 21 - Chapter 22 - Chapter 23
And there's the end! Thanks to everyone who read, left comments or liked it. My longest story ever, a real pain 😅. I admit I got a little lost here and there but I enjoyed writing it. There will be more chapters but I still have to decide some things so I don't know if or when they will be published... anyway I hope you like this last one x
The situation at home is awkward. Evelyn wanted to find the right moment to talk to her brother but that moment never seemed to come. She would stare at him, spend most of her time with him and yet she couldn't get those words out of her mouth. Engrossed in her own head, she hadn't noticed that the same thing was happening on the other side. Ben had an important decision to make too, or maybe he had already made it and it was only communicating it that scared him.
And one evening Evelyn had just put Cece down but didn't want to go to bed so she slowly closed the bedroom door behind her and made her way to the living room. But in the silence of the house she changes her mind and slips into Ben's room, settling into his bed and holding him close.
He immediately sighs squeezing her back, "What are you doing?"
"Remember how many times mum nearly had a heart attack because she couldn't find me in bed and I was sleeping with you?"
"How can I forget... when you slept alone I worried" she chuckles softly before sighing.
"I miss that. Being young and not having the world on my shoulders and being able to hide in my big brother's arms and feel better immediately"
"We're grown up, but that doesn't mean you can't count on me no matter what" for a moment she thinks she might burst into tears at any second, but she takes a deep breath closing her eyes to calm herself. "Even though we'll be far apart, we'll always be there for each other. Promise me Lyn"
"Ben" for a moment she thinks he knows, but it can't be. Jack promised her that he would give her all the time she needed and at the very least give her a heads up. So she tries to turn to look at him as if she could see him in the dark, but his grip is so firm she can't so she sighs "I promise, I promise"
There's silence for a few moments in the room before Ben sighs and releases his news, the one he's been holding in for a while now. "I might be a Chelsea player next season"
Evelyn snaps to her seat as soon as she processes those words, making a fuss to lean over and turn on the light hitting Ben in the process. "WHAT? Oh sorry! Ben that's great"
"Shh don't wake Cece up" Ben pulls her down but she gets back up again, resting her elbow on the mattress and looking at him proudly.
"You know I always knew you were destined for great things"
"Fly down. I said I might, it's nothing official yet"
"Well they'd be really stupid to let you go at this point: you're talented, you're a hard worker and you've got a pretty face too which never hurts" the two giggle as Ben lightly hits Evelyn with his foot and she then sits back down, her arm almost tingling.
"Why don't you look happy B?"
"I am" he states bringing his knees up to his chest and resting his arms on them, his hands brushing against each other from time to time.
"But there's something that doesn't make you live this moment to the fullest. Is it Deb?" she asks, but he's already shaking his head.
"I'll ask her to come with me if I accept" he admits slightly embarrassed as always when it comes to his personal life, but still sharing a smile with his sister who knows what it means. And she wishes them all the best because they deserve it, and not because they are the two people who have been closest to her in the last period but because they are good together and deserve all the good things that can happen to them.
"Is that for me?" Evelyn doesn't even give him time to think about changing subject, seeing him shift awkwardly from his seat sighing slightly.
"It's just... I worry about you. And Cece. It scares me to leave you here alone, because I can't ask you to follow me. Not now that you've found some kind of normality anyway"
"Ben" his name comes out more or less as a whisper, she doesn't even know if he heard it frankly. So she clears her throat slipping towards him and moving even closer, "We said you wouldn't worry about us any more than you have to"
"How can I?" when he looks up Evelyn can clearly see his inner struggle, and her stomach clenches in a painful grip. "I know I'm not her father but I love her, I love you and I can't help but worry about you as well since we live together"
"Benjamin James Chilwell are you really thinking of not taking the chance of a lifetime for a burbler and a whiner?" Evelyn tries to keep a straight face as she nonchalantly wipes away a tear that is silently rolling down her cheek.
"Family. For my family"
"Damn it Ben" she hits him on the arm between his laughter as she thinks it's now or never, if she doesn't tell him right then it's going to get harder and harder and she'll end up telling him the day she leaves. So she takes a deep breath.
"You know it's a good thing then that Jack asked us to move in with him. And that I said yes" next thing she knows she's on her back on the mattress with Ben moving his fingers over her body making her laugh and her trying to free herself.
"I can't believe it, what a bastard! You could've told me sooner!"
"Eh what can I say... I feel a certain pleasure in seeing you struggling" she sneers still trying to catch her breath as he drops down beside her.
"I promised you Ben, this time will be different. I won't make the same mistake twice" his hand goes to intertwine with hers, "Accept that contract if you think it might be the right move for your career, Cece and I will always be there to support you even if we can't see each other every day"
"I love you"
"I'm proud of you"
-
"Damn it!"
"Are you okay babe?" Jack yells from the other room where he and Cece are watching TV.
"Yeah" Evelyn lets him know clenching her teeth as she glances at the dog and places the container in her hand on the table.
"You need to stop that okay? One of these days I'm going to break something. Or you can hurt yourself"
"Babe who are you talking to?" Jack walks into the kitchen confused as she rolls her eyes.
"Your dog. He always has to get in the way"
"He just wants to play" he chuckles taking the dog and giving it some attention, "Look"
"It's annoying. I almost regret when he kept his distance as soon as we got here. And no, don't look at me like that. You have to stop"
Before she can say or do anything else, Cece comes running crashing into Evelyn's legs and laughing making Evelyn sigh just looking at Jack. He chuckles giving the dog one last pat before letting him go, "He just wants to play babe"
"I want to play babe" the little one states nodding as Evelyn picks her up, eyebrows arched in surprise.
"What did you just say?" the little girl repeats smiling as Jack hides a smile with his back to the two washing his hands.
"No no. Mh-mh. I'm not babe for you, I'm mommy"
"But he calls you that!"
"He's my boyfriend, he can"
"I can too! I'm your girl" Evelyn sighs knowing she can never win that battle, while Jack can't contain himself anymore and bursts out laughing.
"This is all your fault"
"How come?"
"You're a bad influence on her"
"Nah that's not true, she loves me. You love me don't you?" the little one agrees nodding as Jack pokes her tummy.
"Oh yeah? Well since you two get along so well, you can give her a bath tonight" she handed the little girl, who immediately wrapped her arms around his neck, winking at him.
"Yay! Lots of bubbles Jack?"
"As many as you want" and as the two of them walk away discussing the big plan that is taking a bath, Evelyn looks at them smiling getting lost in her thoughts.
Although it wasn't her first move, it was certainly the heaviest of all. Both emotionally and physically. Packing up her things and watching Ben do the same felt reassuring, but as soon as she remembered the different paths they were about to take, the nostalgia came flooding in. But there wasn't enough time to dwell on everything that Cece was calling for her attention and so it was back to square one, choosing what to pack for the moment and what not to, looking after the baby, spending time with Ben before going their separate ways...
Jack had made sure she had everything she needed, to make her feel as welcome as possible. They'd taken time to get everything set up, to make his house theirs, and she'd slowly gotten used to calling it home. And she really hoped it would be the last trip for her daughter, a permanent arrangement.
And she didn't have any big problems at the moment except for that dog. She'd never had a chance to complain about it, even when they came and went from that house the animal's behaviour had always been impeccable. He and Cece made a well-matched pair and there had been times when she'd actually thought about giving them both away, but then Jack would always calm her down. Recently though, he'd started following her around, getting in her way more than once or simply resting his face on her legs when they were on the couch watching TV. Talking to Deb about it, the girl had suggested that maybe her period hormones were the cause of the animal's sudden attachment to her, a hypothesis she had immediately ruled out because, firstly, it had never happened before and, secondly, she wasn't on her period.
However, that chat had put something in her mind, something she had not yet given a chance to sink in and had not yet checked above all.
"I wanna another baby" Jack surprises her that night after a thousand stories to put Cece to bed, alone in the living room brightened by the shades of light from the screen.
She looks at him. All she can think about is his choice of words. There had been moments: the first time Cece had called him dad, the time he had referred to her as his daughter, the first time she had referred to him as daddy in such a natural way. Yet each time, having the certainty that he considers her his despite everything, is like the first time. Like he'd never done it before. "Another?"
"Yeah. I want to add another member to this family, give our daughter a sibling. Can you imagine?" Evelyn can't speak, she's visibly emotional and Jack notices this as he replaces his dreamy expression with a more concerned one.
"I don't want to push you though if you don't feel like it yet. I know I'm not her father, well at least not biologically, and I don't want you to think it's for-"
"I think I'm pregnant" she then interrupted him giving voice to that thought that had been torturing her for a couple of days and it took him a moment to process those words.
"What? That fast?" and she laughs straddling him taking his face in her hands, leaving a tender kiss on his lips.
"I'm going to be a father?" he murmurs, his eyes sparkling as his hands go to brush against what is her stomach.
"I don't know for sure yet. I still have to take a test but I'm optimistic"
"Why haven't you taken one yet?"
"I guess I was scared. Last time I was pregnant I..."
"Oh honey, listen to me. I'm not leaving you anytime soon, okay? If you're pregnant, if you're carrying my baby right now... leaving you is the last of my thoughts. Trust me"
"I know that. I just-"
"Need someone to remind you of that once in a while. And that's what I'm here for" Evelyn leans in again to kiss him before standing up and offering him her hand which he accepts without hesitation.
"Where are we going?"
"To find out the truth"
-
Evelyn and Jack look at each other, unable to hold back a smile as Ben enjoys Cece sitting on his lap, helping her with the slice of bread in front of her. Since they had gone their separate ways, those lunches were commonplace to spend time together and they had learned to treasure those moments.
"Uncle B" Cece lifted her head bringing a crumb to the boy's lips, "what's a little sibling?"
"Oh...well a sibling is someone you'll love dearly when mum and dad have another b- wait" Ben lifts his head looking at the two in front of him, "A sibling? Why are she asking me about a sibling? Lyn" a glance is worth a thousand words as surprised and incredulous happy expressions appear on both of their faces before they get up to hug them.
"I knew it! I knew there was something different about you today!" Ben holds Evelyn tightly to him after putting Cece down, overjoyed for his little sister and the new life that will soon fill their lives.
"The dog, he knew all along"
"You 're damn right" Evelyn chuckles at Deb's statement as the boys look at them confused as they play dumb.
"I'm sorry man, this time it's your turn to take all the whining"
"Hey! Watch your mouth" Evelyn points her finger at him as Jack hugs her from behind, one hand going to gently caress her side.
"It's true! You used to cry a lot, about everything"
"Not about everything"
"A lot" Ben insists on pointing out, as his sister sticks her tongue out.
"Eh it is a bit true" Jack puts in earning a dirty look from her trying to push him away, "but I don't care. I'm ready to experience it fully, with the good and the bad too"
Later that day everyone seems to have collapsed around the living room, everyone except the two brothers. Ben signals for Evelyn to go out into the garden and the two of them walk off without waking anyone up.
"Quite a nice day" the boy relaxes on the deck chair in the green space closing his eyes for a moment as she settles down next to him.
"You called me out here to talk about the weather?" she teases him turning her head to look at him.
"And to tell you that I'm proposing to Deb this weekend"
"Ben! I can't believe you kept this from me all day" a gasp as she smacks him on the arm.
"It's not like I could exactly yell it out" he excuses himself turning for a moment to look at the glass door, "and I couldn't tell you with Cece around"
"You're right, I forgive you" she chuckles acknowledging that the little girl could have blurted it out at any moment without meaning to and ruin everything.
"Aw my big brother" she pinches his cheek as he tries to wriggle out of it by slapping her hand away, and for a while they laugh acting like they're kids again.
"Do you remember when you showed up at my house?" sighs Ben after a moment and at her nod, he continues, "you said there would be no more chances for you to find someone. Well looking at you now you could say you were wrong"
"You want to make me say it Ben?!" she looks at him cheekly before they both burst out laughing.
"I just want to... look at us. Me almost engaged, you almost a mother of two. For being the only members of the 'Boo love by Chilwell' club, it hasn't gone so bad"
"Oh my god, shut up! I totally forgot about that! We weren't normal kids"
"We never were" and it's like they've run out of time to spend alone as the little one of the house comes in rubbing one eye claiming Jack is still asleep and doesn't want to wake up.
"Oof I really hope my children can have a relationship like ours. You are and will forever be my best friend" she says sincerely, smiling and closing her eyes for a moment before standing up as Ben leaves a kiss on her temple.
"I will always be with you"
-
"Hey so about what my brother said earlier..."
"There's no need, like I said I want it all"
"Yeah but I just want to say one thing" she stands up on her toes to leave a kiss on his lips and he's already with his hands on her waist bringing her down not breaking the kiss. "I can feel this time will be different. I won't cry"
"Hmm how come?"
"Because I'm happy now"

Kaminari Denki x Reader; Jiro’s Best Friend
Tumblr media
relationship: Kaminari Denki x Reader
fluff ~
warnings : literally one curse word
2.5k words
“Are we there yet?” Kaminari groaned for the thousand times since he and Jiro got on the train but was, just like the past two hours and a half of the ride, only greeted with silence.
The purple-haired girl sat across from him with one headphone in quietly listening to music and occasionally tapping the armchair she rested her hand on. They got very lucky with the seats, no one around them and a lot of space and quiet that was quickly filled with Denki’s rambling about his training with Sero and what Mina told him about Todoroki one time and how mad Bakugou was after he pranked him.
Jiro has honestly gotten used to having Kaminari around. Sure he was annoying and loud and kind of stupid at times but nonetheless he was always there to keep her company and make her laugh if he tried he could make a really good friend. He also matured a lot during their time at UA and wasn’t just a horny teenager all the time. Sometime during the time they spent together at school and then at the dorms, she found herself texting him during the summer vacation and at some point they became somewhat close to best friends. Of course, if anyone asked he had Kirishima and she had Momo but it just so happened that here she was, with him, driving to meet her best friend from middle school.
“And then Mina said she heard some weird noises from Kirishima’s room when he had Bakugo over for studying and-“ his one-sided chatter was cut short by the announcement of the next stop they were approaching. Jiro put her headphones away and looked at her friend “This is it.” she said and got up moving towards the doors with Kaminari following right behind her.
“So Jiro, what are they like?” he asked. The train stopped and the doors slide open revealing the streets of a town ni ether of them had seen before.
“As far as I can remember they are freaking awesome, they were my best friend after all” Jiro said stepping off the train and wiping some invisible dirt off her clothes.“Well yeah obviously” Kaminari laughed standing beside her. Jiro sighed heavily and looked around looking for anyone who looked even remotely like what you looked like.
“Hey, are you sure you’re ok?” Kaminari said, his facial expressions slowly turning into a more concern one. Jiro was honestly very nervous. She wasn’t even sure what to do when she saw you or what to say or how to act, so much has changed and she hasn’t seen you in two years. You moved away just before Jiro had her UA entrance exam, you weren’t there to support her, to celebrate when she told you the good news. You guys kept in touch but as her hero work became more serious, she had less and less time to call you and it honestly surprised her when she saw your name written across the screen asking her to visit you during one of her free days. And here she was, unsure of how this will go.
“I’m just worried about you to know this... us meeting her and-“ her spoken thoughts were interrupted by a voice, a familiar voice she hadn’t heard in years
“Kyoka!” you screamed maybe a little too loud for many people passing and turning, shaking their heads disapprovingly and poor Kaminari that got scared at the sudden voice. Jiro turned to look at you and her worries were suddenly gone, replaced by nostalgia. “Y/n,” she said breathing heavily as you went and hugged her. She tensed up for a second before giving in and hugging you back.
“This is... uh,” Jiro’s face suddenly fell when she looked back at her male friend who looked like he just used too much electricity. “Kaminari Denki,” she said slowly still concerned over his state. His eyes were fixed on you and his jaw was almost hitting the floor. He had become very good at controlling his hormones but whatever he had expected it definitely wasn’t this.
“Um..” you laugh awkwardly at his reaction “I’m F/n L/n” you extend your hand for him to grab. “Oi” Jiro punched Kaminari in the arm and he finally woke up from his trans, red in the cheeks “Ah yes h-hi. Kaminari” he said introducing himself again and shaking your hand. You just laughed playfully at him and blushed a little yourself.
Jiro was narrowing her eyes watching the weird tension between you two. “Ok... what now?” she asked looking at you since you obviously knew the town better than them.
“Oh good, you asked! I actually have the whole day planned out for us” you said with a big smile. “You guys must be starving, let’s go eat first” you smile looking first at Kyoka and back at Kaminari who was still blushing.
“Do it again ahahahaha Kaminari I can’t” Jiro was choking on her words from laughing as she begged Kaminari to show you what happens when he uses too much of his quirk for the sixth time. You were cracking up at the results but didn’t want him to completely wear himself out as you guys just finished eating.
The people around you were probably giving you three weird looks because of how much noise you were making by laughing.
“Ah Kaminari you’re quirk is really amazing!” you said to cheer him up after Jiro teased him. “Thanks,” he said and scratched the back of his neck giving you a warm smile.
“What’s your quirk Y/n?” he asked curiously. You blushed slightly “It’s nothing special and also really weak but I can turn any non-organic material into clothing.” you explained with a slight smile. Kaminari thought for awhile “That can be useful” he said eventually. You chuckled looking at Kyoka who was grinning “Well she got lucky” Jiro said. Denki furrowed his brows in confusion looking back and forth between the two of you. “What do you mean?” he asked. “I’m actually studying to be a fashion designer so my quirk is indeed very useful” you smiled explaining. It wasn’t your quirk that made you chose fashion, it just so happened to help a lot with achieving your dreams.
Kaminari looked surprised for a moment “Oh” he said “Wait why didn’t you tell me this before Jiro! That’s so cool.” he said sounding genuinely excited for you.
You just laugh and shake your head continuing the conversation, talking about school and the hero course, the villains they have fought and the teachers.
Time flew by as you took them to all of your favorite places around the town. You all probably couldn’t remember when was the last time you had such a good time outside of school.
Not only were you able to catch up with Jiro but also got to know Kaminari really well, it felt like you have known each other for years.
“So you actually have a pervert in class?!” you ask widening your eyes at all the stories about their class. “Well if you count out Denki, we have one yeah” Jiro said casually sipping on her drink. You almost choke on yours and Kaminari spits him out to yell over you “Ah!? I’m not a pervert, you are!” Jiro turned to him flipping him off “You know I’m right. You’re always checking Momo out when she’s in her hero costume.” Kaminari said and that made Jiro blush like crazy
“I- I do not!” she protested but you saw right through her lies. She must have noticed your expression when her lips turned into a thin line and her face even redder than before “You have a crush? I can’t believe you didn’t tell me Kyoka!” you said smacking her hand.
“A-ah it’s not anything yet” Jiro finally gave in but regretting it immediately when she saw the smug on Denki’s face. He will not stop teasing her about it once they get back.
“Alright guys” you began checking the clock. It was already getting late. “I have one last thing planned for us to do,” you said excitedly. Kaminari sulked a little, realizing they’re leaving soon.
“What is it?” Jiro asked looking at you a little less flustered this time.
“It’s karaoke!” you sing loudly and cheering up your idea. Kaminari and Jiro soon joined in both loving the suggestion. “Hell yeah, cmon let’s go we can’t waste another second” Kaminari panicked pulling you down from the fountain you were sitting on to run towards wherever you were taking them.
You laugh “Denki wait!” but he was already ahead of you.
“What about this one?” Jiro asked remote in her hand.
“No way, gimme that” Kaminari protested trying to get the remote from her. “Stop it, it’s my turn and I wasn’t asking you” she snapped and turned towards you. “Fine! Let Y/n decide then” Denki said crossing his hands on his chest. “Ok” was all Jiro said before all attention was on you again.
You have been singing for at least an hour now and they still haven’t gotten tired of it.
“I actually agree with Denki,” you said slowly not wanting to start another fight between the two of them. “Ugh you people probably share the same brain cell for shit music,” Kyoka said pouting
“I’ll excuse myself to the bathroom then, have fun,” she said before walking away and you were left alone with Denki- what was she thinking leaving you two alone, you just met today and he was kind of low key, ok really cute. You blushed a little at your thoughts.
“Alright I guess,” he said shrugging and walked over to you. “You don’t have to sing if you're uncomfortable with just me you know?” he smiled shyly knowing Kyoka did this on purpose, she probably figured out he liked you.
“Actually do you want to dance?” you asked hoping he’d say yes. You loved dancing and the thought of dancing with Kaminari really didn’t seem all the bad, quite the opposite actually. “Oh” you caught his surprised expression, he almost looked scared. “I don’t know how” he finally said still showing little to no emotions other than surprised. “Don’t worry, I’ll teach you... if you want?” you said hoping he wouldn’t just leave you standing.
“Alright” he simply said awfully calm and got up walking towards you. “It’s really nothing special, just enjoy yourself,” you said a little panicked since you were nowhere near a professional dancer turning on the music and Accidentally in love started playing.
You moved around to the melody having fun with it. Kaminari, on the other hand, was lost, his body just didn’t move like yours and you made him very nervous. When you stopped to get a glance at him you tried but really really tried not to laugh. Didn’t work, you burst into laughter and watch as he blushes embarrassed.
“Don’t laugh at me!” he said. “I told you I don’t know how to dance,” he said crossing his arms. You go and grab his hand pulling him closer to you “Just follow my lead” you said in his ear so he could clearly hear you over the music. You two started dancing and even though Kaminari stepped on your toes countless times he was getting better. You were smiling and laughing at his silliness the whole time.
“No Denki, what is that?” you asked while laughing “This how I dance TEACHER,” he said emphasizing the fact that it really was your job to teach him as you promised. “Alright alright come here boy” you laugh and pull him closer. “I’m not a dog you know-“ his eyes widen when you were suddenly closer than expected and your arms went slowly to wrap themselves around his neck. Kaminari didn’t know what to think, he looked down at you sighing deeply, his hand automatically went on your waist when suddenly the door opened and Jiro walked in.
You and Kaminari jumped away from each other both blushing and looking at anywhere bit Jiro. “What?” Jiro asked annoyed looking at the two of you.
“Nothing,” you and Kaminari said at the same time making it even weirder. “Alright weirdos we have time for one more song,” Jiro said and walked up to you. Kaminari wasn’t sure what just happened a few minutes ago but couldn’t help and wonder; would you have kissed him if Jiro wouldn’t barge in?
“Ok Kaminari, wait here I’ll go buy us tickets”
Jiro ordered once you got to the station. She walked away leaving you and Denki alone once again.
You were sad they had to leave already but you also understood how hard hero work must be. “I guess this is goodbye then,” Kaminari said looking at you. “I guess it is” you sigh “It was really fun hanging out with you,” he said smiling “sort of took our minds of hero work for a while” he chuckled
“aw I’m so glad I was able to do that,” you answered with a big smile.
“Should probably wish us luck though.” Kaminari said looking around “Oh why’s that?” you ask curiously “It’s way after our bedtime” he explained and you immediately burst into laughter interrupting him “What are you five? Heroes who fight deadly villains have a bedtime?” you kept laughing while Denki just rolled his eyes. “Don’t laugh, it’s serious. If they catch us sneaking in after-hours we’ll be in big trouble” he scolded you and you couldn’t help but feel bad for them.
“Alright, how bout this for good luck?” you pull him close by grabbing his shirt and press your lips onto his. Kaminari widens his eyes at the sudden action but slowly melts into the kiss and kisses you back.
Jiro finished buying tickets and headed back only to find you two exploring each other’s throats “Ew” she said furrowing her face and cringing “You guys are disgusting” you both stop what you were doing both blushing and looking at Jiro.
Kaminari quickly put on a smirk “Go ahead, I’ll be right after you” he said and winked. Jiro made a barfing sound and pushed past you two to get to the train waving you goodbye. “Now... where were we?” Kaminari smirked leaning in again only to be stopped by your hand “You need to get on this train” you said reminding him that it’s the last one.
“Nah I’ll just sleepover,” he said jokingly and you just rolled your eyes.
“Here, I have a little fashion show next month. You can come and see me if you’ll have time” you said and pulled out an invitation handing it to him. “Jiro will give you my number and then maybe we’ll continue this,” you said with a smirk.
Kaminari took the piece of paper and put it in his pocket making sure he doesn’t lose it. “I’ll try my best,” he said and quickly pecked your lips before waving you goodbye getting on the train home.
I think it’s needless to say Jiro was teasing him the for the whole ride and nobody at the dorm believed him that you kissed him and not the other way around. However, Kaminari was never home again when they had a free day.

Ranking of the Harry Potter Movies
After I reread the books I am hoping to binge watch the movies (most likely post grad). Have I bing watched the movies since the last one came out????? I don’t think so. Now I normally just watch them when they come on TV, that tended to be the case I have flashbacks to watching it on ABC but now that it’s played on Freeform a million times I’ve seen certain scenes a million times. It’s hard not to watch them. Being at school and Freeform deciding to cut Harry Potter weekends will give me the break that I need. I like waiting a year in between watching films but clearly, HP is an exception. Taking time in between watching things can give you a new point of view and always brings the emotion back which can be less meaningful if watching in a short amount of time. There is an uneven distribution of how many times I have watched each of the movies. I think I have seen Order of the Phoneix the least and then the Half-Blood Prince, I have watched the Deathly Hallows a significant amount more than those two (I am not sure which one I’ve seen more because again I mainly watch them on FreeForm even though it would take less time watching them on a DVD player that isn’t connected to a TV).
With no question, Chamber of the Secrets is my most watched film. At one point I knew the first two movies by heart and knew most of the 3rd movie. I’ve seen the Prisoner of Azkaban more than I think. And since the later movies came out I think it lowered my overall view counts of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
8th Place - The Order of the Phoneix. I watched part of this film the other day and I really don’t hate this film as much as I talk about it being my least favorite. Maybe I was blinded by dislike. But it is good. There’s a reason why JKR is BRILLIANT. I think this one is just my least favorite when it comes to the characters and the storyline.  Similar to my Ranking of the books, I hate Umbridge and Harry is a bit Hormonal in this one. The story, in general, isn’t as memorable compared to the others. The other day I realized that I had forgotten that Voldemort and Dumbledore duel in this one, how does someone forget that?? I think the DA montage is one of my favorite parts of this film. This lighting in this one, as in the Half-Blood Prince is a bit awkward and even makes the viewing more difficult for the audience at times which is a shame. But it is definitely better executed in this film than it is in the Half-Blood Prince. I remember Sirus being a bit more annoying in this book and I like that they excluded that in the film because I feel like it makes the death more heartbreaking.
7th - Half-Blood Prince.
5-7 are the only books I read BEFORE watching the movie but I feel like this is the only movie that was truly impacted by it. In the fifth movie, I feel like non-readers may be a bit confused by the prophecy but it is still explained. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is where they pull out a lot a lot of the backstory making it difficult to understand. It’s sad because I love this book and maybe it’s because I love this book so much that I am so critical of the movie. I think they just focus too much on the relationships and yet not enough. I remember Ginny being one of my favorite characters. But years after not having read the books and only having watched pieces here and there of the movies it almost makes me question why. The movies don’t give it justice. As I have mentioned in another post I’ve never really cared about the relationships and yet I must have to a degree because I found it entertaining in the book. But it was cheesy in the movie. Which I mean could also be said for the books but I prefer the books some of that could be because we are inside of Harry’s head and know what he’s thinking which naturally is the downfall of those style of movie, you have to display thoughts in a non-overt way. I’ve never been huge on comedies so that’s another reason why I’m not the biggest fan of this film which they clearly try to do. It’s the specific style of comedy too that I’m like ehhh I would rather do without. With that said I think that the Felix Felicis scene is done brilliantly.
Here on out it’s more difficult to rank them ...
In 6th place, I will put Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I love this movie and ofc it has the magic of first coming to Hogwarts. I will say that the chamber of secrets is the movie that has the most nostalgia for me. Also when I was younger sometimes I would watch the ending scene through my fingers because Prof Q unraveling his turban is creepy. I would say that this film encompasses a magical feel that some of the others don’t. But that Daniel still brilliantly portrays in almost all of the movies. The CGI on the other hand. Haha. I didn’t notice this when I was younger but once the technology improved it was very evident and even distracting.
I was surprised by my ranking for this next film. I wasn’t exactly sure where to place this one on my list. Some people don’t like this film but I do. In the grand scheme of things, I feel like you could do without this film if you had to and so I’m 5th place is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. You can tell they went all out with the last two films and I am forever grateful for that. Besides watching something that reminded me that there was some background that could’ve been easily included in the beginning of the story I have nothing bad to say about the movie. It was well acted and that is saying a lot considering there isn’t much action to hide behind, most of this movie focuses on relationship...this was a real testament to the actors knowing their character. While I have watched this movie on its own multiple times I would say it is the movie that is least suited to do so. You could also argue the same for part two regarding the plot but I think that is where the action wins out, and you can at least kind of tell what is happening (this is pretending like I didn’t know rest of the story line)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes in at 4th place. There was no question that this one is near the top. This starts with a heartwrenching death, it gives you the outstanding performance of Helena as Hermonie, Breaking into Gringotts (in the book the enchantment stole the show, in the movie it’s the dragon) (does anything else happen before they get to Hogsmeade besides the dragon landing because I feel like it’s not much besides I flash to Voldemort) so basically from there on out it goes to Hogwarts. There we get the reunion of the characters, Snape’s story, sad deaths, McGonagall, resurrection stone, Harry's death to the end of the film lol... Nevil and Mrs. Weaseleys bad ass moves. More death and the part that probably made me sob the most the epilogue, it’s over and there's not a time I don’t cry over that scene. *the only reason to have kids, to pass on my love for Harry Potter* Ok but I do actually have a complaint about this movie and it is that I don’t like the visuals of how VOldomort died (or Bellatrix), yes it’s better than his body lying there but, I don’t know, I get what they were trying to do but ehh I just wasn’t a huge fan mainly in how it starts in his face, the face he makes, then he kinda melts, I don’t know. Oh also how Voldemort flys.
--
Over the past couple of hours my top three films have switched orders landing me with the following
In 3rd Place is Harry Potter and the
Prisoner of Azkaban. Young me would be surprised by this. When I was younger it was striking how dark this was, I always liked Goblet of Fire better, even though someone dies in that one. But over time I phased out of that. The movie is brilliant, and honestly puts most of the other films to shame, it is so well done. Like ugh this one so hard to explain and yet its so different from the rest. I love what Alfonso did with it, the dementors are well done, I love how you can see more of the castle, the music is brilliant, visually it’s probably the best film. This movie is hilarious. But it’s not trying too hard like the 6th one is...Wow I just wow.
In 2nd Place is Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire. When I first put this list in order this film was in 1st place because I couldn’t have 2 in 1st place mostly due to nostalgia, but that’s exactly what I am doing. Then it got demoted to 3rd place, but it’s pushed up to 2 because I like the storyline more. It’s so interesting and unlike any other year at Hogwarts. This one 4 up they all have angst, 4 & 5 have the most, I think, but this is an angst that I can deal with  (and actually enjoy in the storyline) because it’s a little bit here and there and spread among the people. I just love this movie I think the only thing that would’ve made it better was if OG Dumbledore was in it, but death is inevitable, can’t do anything about that. Maybe it was because I did watch the movie before I watched the film but I didn’t care too much about things that were left out. But even then I wasn’t phased too much by the things 5 left out and I read that one before I watched it. Obviously, I would’ve loved to have a Dobby appearance but we got him in the deathly hallows and that’s all that matters. Let's be real my favorite music is also in my top three minus the weird wizard punk band, yeah that’s my one complaint, I wasn’t a fan of that, that was just weird.
And last but not least in 1st place is...
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The acting and the CGI won’t get better than the last film (minus the flaky deaths) but this one encompasses the magic that is Hogwarts (The CGI is significantly less distracting in this movie than in the first). I feel like the 2nd movie is what the 1st movie is to so many others but I like the second one more because we are already introduced to Harry’s world. I loved Richard Harris’ rendition of Dumbledore, so I will first give a nod to that. I knew every single word to this film, me and my friend would act it out. We get to see the BUrrow and Harry’s relationship with the Weasely’s is strengthened. I like that it is a school round horror occurring, a mystery to be solved, there are amazing quotes in this film Harry Ron and Hermione will always be a team even when she petrified. I love the ending scene I sob like a baby when I watch it. ... I just love it <3
