oh wait.... ohhhh wait...... sub!sungho ..... is certainly.... something to think about .... i might be a little insane ... and this is just me being me but gosh i can't help but imagine tying sungho up with pretty pink silk ribbons, and like the little blurb you sent into my inbox that time, with him i don't think you'd have to put much pressure at all, because he's so good, he won't move or act out.... the dollification goes both ways oh GOSH he's just so pretty it's impossible not to think about putting him in pretty silky ribbons and keeing him all still and pretty to use and play with so gently..... i'm going nuts bye
belle im sick,, you're gonna kill me like actually 😭 love thinking abt pretty boys in the prettiest most delicate silk, it doesn't actually hold much and its all up to the mental submission for sungho to not do anything to get out of the silky restraints. he'd look so pretty with his hands tied either way but i can't help but imagine if you tie his hands to his front side, trusting that he won't touch himself or try to stop you from touching him. you'd tell him you wanna pamper him, treat him like a dolly and he's melting, he secretly lives for being taken care of he loves when you give him all of your attention like this which is why he's so well behaved. i feel like he sometimes can get very overwhelmed and he may move a bit but he always goes to stop himself, especially when you soothe him and hush his whines and tell him, "dollies don't touch.." or "dollies don't speak.." he's such a perfect play thing, so pretty and sweet, letting you do whatever you please cuz he'd never wanna act out,, just wants to be a pretty doll all tied up in silk that perfectly compliments his skin <3

so there are two big musical throughlines in npmd, which i was mostly aware of from the digital ticket but it's nice to listen through and confirm it:
the first is the "hatchet town" piano motif, which you can hear in the trailer, hatchet town (the chorus of course, but it's also the bass in the verses if you listen for it), and npmd/ddmd in the "who will pray for you" verse. i feel like i remember hearing it in the digital ticket before the opening (during the police bit) but maybe my brain is just making things up? idk, we'll find out. BUT we actually heard it for the first time in the bridge of axe man, very appropriately accompanied by the "watchin nerds run for their lives" lyric. it seems to be associated with the imminent threat of death, particularly if you're a nerd.
the other is right at the beginning of the opening (leading into "I'm dead"), and we hear it again in cool as i think i am ("I'm not a loser") and its reprise, and of course npmd and ddmd ("darkness will spare my soul"), neatly bookending the show. i think this one is more associated with The Nerds growing and asserting themselves, in contrast to the other theme. it reminds me a bit of black friday having two distinct themes that don't come together until the finale, one associated with wiggly and one with family (remind me to make A Post about that too) - it makes the act 1/2 closers really hit home and the show feels more musically cohesive for it.
uh, in conclusion:

the tiny, inside the walls, hyping themself up: It’s totally fine. Everything I’ve seen from this human shows that they’re kind, level headed, and normal. There’s utterly nothing wrong with this human, and I can totally befriend them! I shouldn’t be scared at all!
the tiny: *peeks out hole in the bathroom wall, looking up at the giant before them*
the giant, in front of the bathroom sink, obliviously doing their nightly routine: *removes their dentures*
the tiny, has no concept of what dentures are, who just saw this behemoth remove all the bones and flesh from its own mouth in one swift pull, without a flinch of pain: what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck

Warriors smiles. It's bright and wide and warm, relieved and watery and wobbly, and he feels like his body has just been recreated. The mourning over losing his only family to portals and fate ebbs from his chest, escapes through the laugh he lets out, incredulous and elated, maybe slightly hysterical, but Legend lets one out that sounds much the same, so he feels a bit more justified in it.
Instantly, the present burn in his chest snuffs out, smoke in his lungs and soot on his bones, and the hello, good morning, I love you, wants to pour out of him like water to a rickety dam.
piece to accompany a wip fic of mine, cinnamon

lemme tell you im starting to get a little sick of when im complaining about when a show or movie is writing a major female character with not as much depth as her male cohorts or she's written oddly plot device-like for a main character and people always tell me "oh but it's intentional, we're seeing her through the eyes of the male main character and he has a crush on her so he doesnt see her flaws" because like
FIRST of all yeah i get it but its hard to write that trope interestingly to me at this point without a lot of work put into subversion so intentionality doesnt make it any less boring
SECONDLY half the time people say this about ensemble cast stuff and like why is the random dude suddenly designated as the most perspective of all perspective characters when it comes to this specific woman. why dont we get to see the other characters perspectives on her too?
AND THIRDLY do people view women they have crushes on as bland plot devices without lives of their own enough irl that this is so universal in writing? isnt the point of having a crush wanting to hang out and know more about your crush, know about their likes and dislikes and all that. am i missing something here

hearing anything abt israel really makes me wanna go crazy :/ you've got endless footage of them proudly recording their own crimes for each other's entertainment (with them at most being like "maybe we shouldn't share it... we might get in trouble..."), and then here in the west the people in charge are comfortable enough to just flat out ignore all the people here and blame the victims there, and It's so....

I guess in some ways having a life that is very small and dark has its benefits especially when one finally gets to lay in a sunbeam (⬅️ saying this as a step down from "getting to step into the light", which is the metaphor i was Gonna use but i havent stepped into the light yet/its been minimal...so sunbeam)
Like...im in persistent unending agony but every little small thing is a joy now that im finally getting to experience a bigger variety of little small things

thinking about that one post that went around where it was like. arguing that stores and restaurants shouldn't be obligated to hold a 12 hours a day open 7 days a week schedule (correct), but then went on to argue that NOTHING should be open late, and also that the people who are ordering food late are all like. self-centered well-off office workers who don't care about your time and thats just. so ridiculous to me as someone who works fast food nights.
like.... i can barely remember any late night customer that matched that description at ALL. 90% o the time people who come in the last hour of us being open are people who worked late-night, low-wage shifts like me, who are likely physically hurting and tired and just want some affordable, low-effort food after a hard shift. And idk the assumption that all these people are just entitled bitches that are a part of the problem just feels inhumane to me? I really feel like there's better ways to make your point without throwing minimum wage late-shift employees under the bus. I promise most of your grievances would be better helped by better pay and a bigger staff (which stems back to having better pay).

i don’t think i’m popular enough to start a gate but if i could i would literally create an entire post explaining all of mike’s death tags and how his intrinsic connection to dnd shows that his character’s death in the opening dnd game literally proves he’s going to “die” so people TALK ABOUT IT
