After Danny is crowned Ghost King, Amity Park becomes detached from the mortal realm and is suspended between the two realms, much like Danny is. In an effort to combat this isolation from the rest of the world, Danny opens up his castle to the residents of Amity. (Not his Lair, just the castle he earned via conquest.)
Now the castle is more like a community center, and it’s constantly filled with both humans and ghosts coming and going. The Amity Parkers are already liminal, so visiting the Zone is actually healthy for them! The school takes the kids on regular field trips, ghost vs. human competitions get very heated, and overall everyone bonds over their shared freakiness and comes to terms with the fact they’ll never venture out into their world ever again.
But just because they’re detached from their world, doesn’t mean the residents of Amity can’t visit other worlds. :)
And it just so happens that their new community castle is filled to the brim with magic doors and ancient treasures to help aid on their noble quest of inter-dimensional grocery shopping.

It’s a bit weird that you keep seeing people talking about various characters “adopting” Miles when he very clearly has parents who love and care for him already
Like
He doesn’t need a new dad he very much has a dad
It’s actually a pretty important part of the story that he has a dad who he loves and loves him

I am wobbling about the new silt verses and I am looking forward to you doing the same
you'll have a good time I think
I just remembered that there was a whole scene where hayward and carpenter bond over elaborately insulting each other, and while yes, this does make me incandescently happy, it also makes me wonder if hayward is....okay?
do not get me wrong, hayward seems much, much happier running around with his illegal cult than he ever did being a cop. when he was talking about long car trips, how his only company was felix and his own thoughts, you can hear the shiver of terror in his voice---it wasn't fun, being left alone with his thoughts. (the stink, his youth, shallow divots in the earth that would swallow you whole....) he's glad and grateful when carpenter gives him the out with 'I Spy', even at the price of a couple of insults.
but.....at the same time? this might be a pattern. paige (lightly!) kidnapped him, dragged him into godmaking and cult-running; carpenter is just barely accepts that he isn't still the man who swore vengeance and screamed he'd chase her across the continent. he's so hungry for connection he's twisting himself into the shapes they want, in the hopes they'll let him stay.
I have to imagine he's still carrying everything, refuses to think about it too much, look at it straight on. maybe paige has taught him some fun new pop psychology jargon, a couple mindfulness tricks, but she's drunk most of the time and honestly, that gives hayward even more reason to stay and not think about that black morass he's dragging behind him.

You know what really strikes me about the Miles G test movement is that it's actually the first and only action sequence in the trilogy that isn't a fight. Anytime we see characters use their weapons or webshooters or motorcycles, it's to attack someone or something but we don’t even see Miles use the Prowler claws and the only time he uses his gadgets is to slow his pursuers down.
His whole thing is about getting what you need and avoiding the fight. Not taking down the villain of the week.

imagine being jonathan sims season 4 for a sec. you’ve been brought back to life to be the sugar baby of eldritch deity nosey bitch. side effect you’re angrily mowing a shopping cart around Tesco because a man’s gotta eat. u get like tortellini but realize that you forget your favorite flavor of trauma (and the marinara sauce) in aisle 2. you slurp a paranormal experience out the head of some random patron as Shape of You blasts over the speakers. you get into the driver’s seat on the right side cause to top it all off you’re british. turn on the radio to hear the news or something (that coma put you six months behind on current events) but end up crying to Happier by Bastille bc the coworker that used to simp for you serves Depression & your entire department is threatening to put you down
