Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen adventures pt. 12

Britt and Yami walked together as they searched for a duel to have after their tag team duel. As they were debating on who they should duel next, they saw some kids run by talking about someone dueling against Weevil Underwood and from the way they talked about it the description sounded like Joey.

'That's interesting. We may want to check it out.' Britt thought.

'Hmm.. Joey's dueling Weevil?' Yami thought

"Come on, let's check it out." Yami said to Britt, as she nod in agreement to him.

They hurried in the direction the kids went but as they approached they noticed a crowd, as much as Britt thought it would be best to go near it Yami had other ideas since he didn't want Joey relaying on him/Yugi all the time. So Yami looked around and noticed a ladder, he got Britt's attention and had Britt go first. Britt wasn't one for heights, but she carefully climbed up the ladder so they would find a spot to watch. Yami could sense Britt's fear as they got to the top of the building so once they were up there and he seen her freak out he put an arm around her to calm her down as they watched.

They watched as the duel began and seen Joey was having a hard start. As they watched, they overheard some boys and looked over, seeing that the boys were seeming to make Espa Roba a fake ESP.

'This is bad. Hopefully Joey can figure this out.' Britt thought

As they watched, they saw that Joey had a disadvantage at first in the duel with Espa Roba, knowing what cards were in his hand. Britt and Yami knew Joey could figure it out if he just thought about it since ESP was quite a longshot for anyone. They knew there was a lot Joey needed to figure out and he also needed to remember the Battle city rules. When Espa Roba's brothers informed him Joey had two dice cards, he told Joey that if they were both graceful dice he couldn't play them. Joey on the other hand looked at his cards seeing one was Graceful dice but the other was Skull Dice.

As Britt watched with Yami she noticed it was really a Graceful Dice magic card and a Skull Dice trap card. It wasn't long that Mokuba had showed up spotting the group of boys cheating for their brother.

Even though Britt and Yami were watching the Duel, they would occasionally look over at Mokuba and Espa Roba's brothers to see what he was going to do. The boys promised their brother could win the duel if Mokuba would let the duel continue without their help. Mokuba was caught in the middle as he listened to their story of how their brother defended them and it wasn't long that Mokuba looked over and saw Britt and Yami looking over at them.

'Joey can win this, but he has to be smart about his moves.' Britt thought.

'Espa Roba is a strong duelist.' Yami thought.

Yugi watched beside them in spirit form as he knew that this was going to be a tough duel for Joey. Then they saw that Espa Roba brought out a duel monster named Jinzo. It was a tough duel as they could see, with Joey having some good moves but they were most impressed when Joey used a magic card to take a risk. He attached it to one of Espa Roba's monsters and when Espa Roba yelled "stop" it stopped, his monster stopped on his Jinzo, making them destroy each other and Joey winning the duel.

'Good Job Joey.' Britt thought

Britt and Yami went back to the ladder as they and Yami went down first but watched her as she came down, though he had also came down first so he'd be able to catch her if she fell. Britt followed behind but she was scared to get down due to her fear of heights that she'd never told anyone but her family about. Once Yami got down and he watched her and when she was close enough he put his arms out.

"If you're too scared to go the rest of the way, let go. I'll catch you Britt." He said

Britt looked at him at first wondering why he'd do that when but knew he was trying his best to help her out so she nod. She let go as she closed her eyes, for a moment She thought she would hit the ground but Yami caught her as he promised. Yami started walking keeping hold of her as he wanted to make sure she was going to be safe. Britt blushed some due to she didn't want to be carried but she didn't protest either because she figured she wouldn't win the arguement.

'We're better sticking together. That way I can protect her from what's coming. Securing that we both make it to the finals is a cruicial.' Yami thought

Britt noticed her other side Brittania had been awfully quiet lately during the whole time Yami had been carrying her, she knew she should get used to that for her other self would one day be gone and become apart of her. Suddenly they started to hear a laugh not far in the distance and as they looked the two of them noticed a clown. Clowns were one thing that freaked Britt out so she didn't mind that Yami still had her in his arms.

"Who are you?" Yami asked

"Hello Yugi and Britt. We've been looking for you." The clown said

"Who's we?" Yami asked

"You'll find out, if you walk that way," The clown said pointing to the tent. "53 steps forward and into that tent. My Master is waiting for you inside. It's in your best interest to go." The clown added before running away.

Mr. Motou and Tea saw them and were trying to catch up with them as they seen Yami enter the tent with Britt in his arms. They looked around seeing no one was there but they did notice the box under the words magic show and the clown was in it, motioning for them to come.

"Put me down." Britt said and Yami nod putting her on her feet.

"Britt, maybe you shoul-" Yami didn't get to finish before Britt cut him off.

"We're going together. This guy Marik, is after both of us and if he gets ahold of me he'll use me against you. He said so himself." Britt said

Yami could tell there was no way of changing her mind when she had a good point about Marik so he kept walking but he took her hand to lead her with him since they were doing this together. Tea and Mr. Motou entered the tent and were looking for him when they noticed him entering the box with Britt.

"Yugi! Britt!" Tea and Mr. Motou said but they noticed that it seemed like they could not hear them.

Once Britt and Yami were inside, there was a mist and the box fell apart. Tea and Mr. motou looked around wonder where they were. In another box in a building the door opened and Yami stepped out still holding Britt's hand. They walked over to a computer screen, as they looked they seen Yugi's dueling profile with the Dark Magician image changing and a hologram show up out of the screen.

"Alright, enough of these tricks!" Yami said

They heard a laugh come from the darkness and a man started to appear before them. They wondered who he was and what he wanted.

"Welcome Yugi Motou, I am the illusionist known as Arkana. Soon your favorite card will be dueling for me." He said to Yami.

As he seen Britt beside Yami, a smirk came to his face. "I see you brought your beautiful friend Britt Petrova with you." He added

Britt didn't mind the compliment but she didn't really like that they'd followed a clown to thie area. Arkana challenged Yami to a duel and had them follow him to the dueling Arena. Britt stayed back to watch as she seen them walk to a table and cut each others decks. She thought it would be fine until chains came out of no where and grabbed her, pulling her back and having her wrists handcuffed.

"Britt!" Yami said as he seen what had happened.

"Sorry my dear, but we can't have you helping him." He said.

"Like he needs my help, he can beat you without my help." She said as she didn't like the idea of being handcuffed

Next she saw the floor under Yami and Arkana start to move backwards where their ankles were locked in so they couldn't escape. As she listened to the terms of their duel and seen what Arkana called dark energy disks appear, she worried for Yami, hearing that one touch and their mind was sent to the shadow realm.

"If you lose, not only do I get your Dark Magician, but your mind gets sent to the shadow realm. And as for your girl..well, she'll be put to good use." Arkana said

'His girl? Ok we did just start dating but when did I get referred to as his girl? Well Marik knows about me being the reincarnated Queen...so go figure.' Britt thought

Arkana explained the rules on how the numbers above the energy disks were representing life points and the box between their feet showed the opponents life points. To get the key, they had to take out their opponents life points to get free.

"And what about Britt?" Yami asked Arkana.

"Look over by her. There's a Key hanging where she can't reach it. So if for some reason you win, you get to save her." Arkana said.

Yami saw the key hanging out of Britt's reach he didn't like that the stakes were high but he knew he had to win..

'Don't worry Britt, no matter what I'll get us out of this.' he thought

Britt folded her arms as she was forced to just stand there and watch. Yami had the first move and she smiled as she seen it wasn't a bad start. But she felt Arkana was up to something. She wouldn't put it past the guy to figure he'd be cheating somehow.

'Well this is a different turn of events. We're shackled where we can't move from where you stand.' Brittania thought to Brittney.

'Why were you so quiet earlier when Joey was dueling?' Britt asked Brittania.

Britt heard a chuckle from her other side 'Bonding time. We're becoming one person so soon there won't be two of us talking to each other. So we're going to have to get used to it after all, i'm just a fragment of what you were locked in the bracelet.' Brittania told her, Britt had figured that but she had hoped she'd been wrong.

They were both relieved when they saw Yami use a magic card called Card Destruction to make them both send their hands to the graveyard and pull a new hand. Arkana was not happy about this as he sent his hand to the grave. Yami, though, seemed happy with his hand as they watched by sacrificing a monster he was able to summon his Dark Magician and use a direct attack for 2500 point damage to Arkana's 4000 life points.

'He'll win. The Dark Magician is one of his best cards.' Britt thought

Britt watched as the duel progressed but when Britt saw they each had four facedown and one Dark Magician card, she was hoping for the best. Arkana used one of his face down cards called Guillotine and used it on Yami's Dark Magician. Britt tried to move away from the shackles but was not able to. Right when it seemed hopeless, she noticed that Yami saved the Dark Magician, but she noticed that Arkana and Yami met move for move. When Yami asked who was Arkana's master, Arkana went to explain his past and how he met Marik who promised to reunite him with his love.

"Now then, Marik wants the girl, but if I eliminate you, then she's useless to Master Marik." Arkana said

Britt wanted to know just what Marik wanted with Yami and the puzzle, but she knew it had to do something with the Millennium items. As she looked over at her item, she wondered if it was just useless to anyone else besides her. Britt wanted to do something besides sit there but with the shackles on her arms made her useless to help anyone. When she seen Arkana use a trap to wipe out Yami's defense monsters and use a magic card to bring back his dark magician, she became very worried. Britt became so worried for Yami, for Yugi that when her other side took over her eyes flashed a nile blue color to show the change.

"You can win this, Fight to the end!" Brittania said

Watching as the magic card that Arkana played worked for Yami and allowed him to summon Dark Magician girl. She smiled as she listened to Yami explaining how Dark Magician Girl had 100 more life points than Arkana's second Dark Magician. She heard him say that Dark Magician Girl gained an extra 300 attack points from every Dark Magician in the graveyard, adding 600 attack points to her original 2,000 attack points totalling in 2,600. Britt thought about this as she watched Yami wiped out the rest of Arkana's life points. She smiled a bit knowing he'd won through keeping his ways of playing with Honor.

Once Arkana's life points reached zero she noticed below Yami was a locator card and a key to get out of the shackles he was in which brought a smile to her face.

Yami got himself free but they soon heard their friends and Mr. Motou. Yami switched places with Yugi. Yugi saw the key Arkana had was on the floor so he ran over and unshackled Arkana, making the Dark Disk miss him. All of them watched as Arkana went to where his 'Katherine' was supposed to be as Yugi went over to Britt grabbing the key and unlocking the handcuffs on her wrists. Though looking over at Arkana, Brittania knew now that Marik was a no good liar, she let Britt take control again while the others noticed Arkana was holding a dummy.

'I don't like this, keep your guard up and we can't rely on him keeping us safe all the time. We have to adventure out on our own and risk being caught.' Brittania thought to Britt

As much as Britt hated to admit it, she knew in her heart Brittania was right. She had to go on her own regardless of what Yami wanted for them to stay together. She couldn't live in fear of Marik during this tournament. Marik had taken control of Arkana's body using something to control him but he made his threats clear he wanted Yami's power and planned to take it. She knew Marik was after them and more importantly wanted to capture her and probably their friends to use against him.

"Britt, we shou-" Yugi started but Britt shook her head no. "Yugi, tell him I'm sorry but I have to work my way up to battle city finals on my own. I can't rely on him saving me, it's not my style. I'm not a damsel in distress and I can hold my own in a duel." Britt said

"But with Marik out there and the rare hunters you should stay around us." Yugi said

"No, my sisters and cousin are out there on their own fighting their own battles. I need to as well. If I just stay around I'm not going to be able to do much and I won't hold him back." She said

When they left with Mr. Motou, Tea and Tristan she went her own way to get some ground for her own duels winning her own locator cards. She knew she had to take this step for herself regardless of what Yami wanted her to do. They were in this together but she knew she could stand on her own away from for a little while.

'Let me show you what I can do without having you protect me. I hope when we come across each other in this tournament again you won't be mad.' Britt thought

Main Powers: Since her children were brought back to life, she’s stopped using her powers. The most she does is use a small glamor to make it appear to others as if she’s not a supernatural creature. Naturally, she has regenerative capabilities and though she’s not actively using her powers, these and her enhanced physical traits (speed, strength, agility, dexterity and senses) as well as her immortality function whether or not she’s actively using her powers. Before ceasing her use of powers, Adeline showed no true affinity. Being a death god, she is the embodiment of powers of all supernatural beings, and unlike many of her siblings, her body didn’t favor a particular species or power set, she could access and use them all. Mostly, she simply copied her father. Her only true infinity was shown towards the water element. Though she had control over all elements, she always had a pull to water.

Main Weaknesses: Mort daggers are lethal to all death gods. If struck through the heart with one of these blades, Adeline would die. Mort daggers were five daggers created by Lucifer and hid all over the world meant for the original five death gods that original were born into existence, since Adeline is the child of one of the children of those death gods, she too is vulnerable to them.

Diet: Before stopping using her powers, she often felt more powerful when drinking blood. Blood can allow her to heal more quickly, and offers a quick recharge when she down. She doesn’t consume a lot, but drinks a tiny bit once a week, just enough to provide some energy to keep glamouring herself.

Personality:

Adeline has always been a caretaker. From the earliest of ages she possessed a strong maternal instinct that drove her to look after others. Even as a small child, she often pretended to be a doctor and would look after her mother while she was pregnant, which was the only real time she ended up being sick, or look after sick animals. Her compassionate side drives her. Even before being put in a big sister type roll, she was driven by her warm and caring nature, the drive to help other beings. It’s lead to her having a more selfless complex. After an entire lifetime of constantly putting others above herself, she doesn’t know how to put herself first. She doesn’t know how to simply do things for her, and the thing that truly drives her is doing things for other people. While it may seem that she has a low self-esteem, she doesn’t often hold the mindset of someone who hates herself. For her it’s more so a fact of not thinking of herself as an option. Though in some factors, she does have an incredibly low self-esteem, such as her belief that she causes death. The initial loss of her children plagued her for years. She is haunted constantly by the idea that she was the reason for losing her child, that something is wrong for her that she couldn’t do the one thing to bring her child into the world safely. Even knowing about the curse has not helped the guilt or the shame, it’s only provided one way for her to not face the guilt. While Adeline was always one for facing problems, both intense emotional and more shallowly calculated problems head on with a clear and more logical mindset, she does tend to use avoidance tactics such as deflection to steer away from people alluding or outright saying that she often uses her caring for other people as a crutch and shield from admitting she never learned how to truly love or care for herself. More than often she’ll shift topics away from anything that grows close to pointing this fact out. In the cases of the previous pregnancy complications, she uses an entirely different tactic, and one that is uncharacteristically harsh for her. She superficially blames magic for the problems she’s experiences, and acts as if it is the reason for all issues within her and her family’s life when in reality, this is simply a way to hold down and bottle her emotions. Adeline doesn’t have a real mean bone in her body. She’s never been malicious, or cruel, she’s always been warm. She is however the most calculating of her sisters. She’s got an incredible intelligence, and tries to force herself as best as she can into a logical way of thinking so she can solve problems, though it’s not always the easiest for her to separate her soft heart from the decisions she makes. She’s naturally got a firm and guiding hand, something that has always had the tendency to put her in a leadership type position. Unlike a lot of her siblings, she has a far more forgiving nature. While she’s capable of holding a grudge or being upset with someone, this usually doesn’t last long and she often forgives them repeatedly, no matter how many mistakes they’ve made in the past – one of the biggest examples of this being her father. She’s not tempered, like the majority of her family, in fact she’s often the one to remain calm and collected in a situation, and while she does go to a panicked state, this often doesn’t result in anger. When she is angry, it is a quiet and icy rage that possesses her. She often is perfectly quiet, and most people only see the calm before the storm until it’s too late.

Background & Birth:

Adelya and Brett didn’t start off in the best of ways, but soon antagonism turned into flirtation, allure and curiosity. And from that, a friendship blossomed and that blossoming friendship evolved into love. They were happy, at first, for a time. They wed a few months after being with each other. Everything was often rash and intense with the two of them, their decisions with their marriage and life was no different. About a month after they had gotten married, Adelya discovered she was pregnant with her first child. It came as a shock to both Adelya and Brett, as Adelya was a vampire and it wasn’t expected that she could conceive or carry a child.

Because of this, Brett was always hovering during the pregnancy. Almost every moment, he spent at her bedside, caring for her, checking on the baby to make sure they were both safe. It wasn’t an easy pregnancy, but it wasn’t nearly difficult as some of the other ones Adelya experienced. Finally, after nine months, Adeline was born. She was lucky enough to come into the world at a time where her parents were still very much in love with each other and when they very much loved her. She was greeted with open arms by all her family and the friends of family.

However, her family name turned into a curse. With such great power as her father possessed, and his cruel and hard nature that he’d had before meeting her mother, he’d made many, many enemies. These enemies were all over the world, seething and waiting for a chance at vengeance on him for what he’d done in the past. It was a warlock who decided that Adeline would be the one to pay the cost though. He didn’t think killing Brett or even Adelya would solve his problems, because it would be too quick, too easy. The pain would not be lasting. He knew though, from watching his own family suffer because of Brett’s actions, that the pain of having to watch a loved one in pain would be the only suited punishment for his crimes. And so only a day or two after news reached the warlock that Adeline had been born, he cursed her. The curse was rather simple. He made it so she could bear no child that would not fall to the hands of death. The mark of the curse marred her ankle in a triangular scar. Neither Brett nor Adelya knew what the scar had come from.

Childhood:

Unlike the majority of Brett and Adelya’s children, Adeline was born before the fighting began. When all the intensity and rash nature was turned on one another. She got to see something most of her other siblings didn’t get to see – her parents truly loving each other. Things were never quite like they had been in those first five years. They had been a proper family, they’d had love and light. And it had shown in the way that Adeline was raised in those five years. She was doted on by everyone, cared for, even had a best friend, Chris. But she was especially loved by her father. Even after her other children were born, she was always his soft spot.

She was happy, for those five years. And then the fighting started. It was small things at first, disagreements over furniture and clothing and parties to attend. Then it was her father telling her mother she spent too much time partying and drinking with her friends, and her mother telling her father that maybe if he wasn’t running off all the time, consumed by his job as the embodiment of death. It tore her apart to see her parent’s relationship falling and crumbling before her eyes. She often stayed up at night in her bed, listening to them yelling through the walls. More than often she’d try to do damage control, going out of her way to be well-behaved after their fights, if only so she didn’t agitate it. Even though her mother and father had always encouraged her looking out to her siblings, she’d also have the tendency to look after them and do what she could after the fights to make sure they weren’t scared by the fighting.

It only escalated from there. Love turned to possession, hatred and anger. And Adeline was there to watch it. She was there while her parents sought different things to solve problems that they had, as they had more kids in hopes that might repair their broken relationship. Her mother had become completely dependent on her to look after the kids by the time she was eight. It was a big responsibility for someone so young, but it seemed natural to her. Since she thought it might make things better, she kept doing it – kept trying to look after the others in hopes that their family might stay together. Holding her family’s broken bits into one piece became her mission and purpose.

Teen Years:

Holding her family together was not a mission she abandoned in her teenage years. Her family came first, no matter one. She put it above everything, even above herself. They were always more important to her. Even though her mother had enrolled her into a human school so she could have a normal education to fall back on as opposed to simple money and riches she would inherit from her father, she barely had time to focus on it. Despite the intelligence she had, she never did her best. She maintained good grades, but they were not by a mark what she could have gotten if she hadn’t been so distracted – if she’d been able to apply and immerse herself in her studies. Even though she was well liked in school, people never got the chance to get truly close to her. All those friends she had were human and she knew they couldn’t know the truth anyway, so she used that divide as an excuse to put her family once more above her personal connection. She even grew apart from Chris, her friend since childhood who knew all the details of her family.

In the craziness of her family drama, her only true escape was her books. She’d often get overwhelmed, and while she didn’t let it break a calm exterior that she’d forced herself to learn, she needed an escape to get away from all the stress her family could bring on. So when all of her responsibilities were handled, she’d bury herself in books. She’d always choose books with character who she could relate too, so if she focused hard enough, for just a little while it could almost be like she was somewhere else for a change. It was the closest she ever really got to doing things for herself.

When she was sixteen, her father left for the first time. Through all the fights, all the arguments and screaming, a part of her never really believed he’d leave. She spent so much time holding her family together, she almost believed she could do it forever, that if she kept trying, if she gave it her all, it would work. It was the crushing of this ideal that led to Adeline taking it the hardest when her father left. She tried to hide it, tried not to show how heartbroken she was when she was looking after her little sister’s and brother’s, or comforting her mother, but at night, when she was alone in her room, she cry for him and plead to the crushing silence for him to return.

It became almost normal, and a lot of the time, Adeline was able to forgive her father for leaving. She was too willing to. Every time he’d come back, she’d let him again, hoping it would mean her family might be whole again. It took her a long time to realize that her father and mother weren’t meant to be forever. It took her a long time to really stand up to him even. It wasn’t until she was eighteen and her younger brother, the second oldest of the family died that she truly lost it at her father, when she didn’t forgive him for leaving. She blamed him for her brother’s death because instead of having been there when he died, to defend him, he had been gone.

Adult Years:

Adeline’s duty still lay with her family, even when she’d reached adulthood. She still held a dedication to her siblings, to her mother. Even if her mother was out partying all the time, or messing around with a new boyfriend. She was there. And though she’d tried to be normal, to have something like a college experience, it didn’t work and she only got halfway through her first year. There was one thing that got her away from her family, aside from reading. At least in a way.

Her father had had a vampire friend named Nick Goulding. He’d been around a fair bit growing up, and he was no stranger to her. But a few years before her father had left, there’d been a falling out, so he’d faded away from her family life. When she was eighteen, only a few months after her brother had died, she ended up running into Nick again. He’d left town for a while, but had been coming in for a brief visit. They ended up having dinner and talking. It had been nice, to see the face of someone who didn’t just simply expect her to do something for them.

He left town a week later, but they had spent a few hours together, spread out over that week. That time spent together had been enough for Adeline to be reminded of a small childhood crush she’d had on him, and that it was a lot easier now to fall for his charm in a more serious manner. He returned a few months later, after she’d turned nineteen, this time because he was moving back to town. It gave her a new outlet, one away from her family. He already knew things, knew her father, her mother. She could talk to him or well not talk at all. Sometimes they would just be around each other. Her feelings got serious, and soon it became all too real a fact that she was head over heels in love with him.

It took her two months to gain the courage to tell him, but when she finally did, he admitted he’d been feeling things too, but had been worried it was wrong because of so many things. Despite this, they pursued a relationship. They ended up married rather quickly, just before she turned twenty years old. It was more of a rash decision, but she had been certain that she loved Nick, and he was the one for her at that time. She thought they were soulmates.

Things were okay at first. They were happy. Her attention was still with her family, but he’d become a part of that family, so it was much easier to balance both parts of her life. It started to get more difficult near the end. Things were more complicated. Adeline found out she was pregnant, and Nick realized when she told him he wasn’t ready for the seriousness of the entire thing. It got difficult. Nick started growing distant from her, and Adeline was left to deal with a lot of the pregnancy on her own. She was five months along when Nick told her he’d cheated on her. It broke her heart, but she did what she often did and forgave him. Though what he’d done made her question many things about herself. She only got more depressed and stressed after his confession. At seven months along, she went into early labor. The baby was still born.

Nick ended things with her a week later. She spiraled, falling into a pit of despair. She’d throw herself into anything and everything she could focus on besides the crushing loss of both her husband and child all at once. It was too much for her, and she thought throwing herself into taking care of her family once more was far better than facing the pain of that loss.

A few years passed, and she was obviously facing a serious depression, but still denying it to everyone around her, if they even noticed at all. She ran into Chris once more, her childhood friend. He was just returning from university and he had gotten a job in town. At first, things were stiff. After all she’d been the one who’d built the distance between them at first. But he became the first person she really let herself get close to after losing the baby and Nick. They became friends once more, and he eventually helped her get help, even arranged for her to see a therapist to help her cope with her problems. She got some closure, and even though she didn’t get a complete release from her pain, it was enough for her to start moving on with her life.

A year or two passed, and her friendship with Chris persisted. He was her rock in life, and provided her with a security she hadn’t gotten to experience with many others. She had developed feelings at one point, but had sat on them because of him being in a relationship. Eventually they faded, or she’d pushed them back enough so that they weren’t in the conscious part of her mind. His relationship eventually ended because he and his girlfriend didn’t want the same things – like kids. He talked a lot about having kids, how he thought about seeking out other methods of having a child, such as having a surrogate carry his child. Even though she still mourned for her daughter, she too wanted a child. So she offered to be the mother to his child, for them to raise the child together as friends. He agreed.

After a process of artificial insemination, Adeline found out she was pregnant with not just one child but two. The pregnancy was difficult. She was on constant alert, paranoid and terrified that she might lose her children. Chris was there, for every appointment, every single moment. They grew close, and eventually admitted they had feelings for each other. Even got engaged. However, when she was four months along, she awoke one night bleeding. When she went to the hospital, Chris had her go in the office alone. The doctor informed her she had lost her twins. When she left the office Chris wasn’t there. He’d abandoned her. She called a dozen times, went looking for him over and over. She never found him.

Four years later, her father returned once more after a very long time. Unlike her usual behavior, she was furious with him. He hadn’t been there, hadn’t held her or soothed her when she’d cried her eyes out every night for months after she’d lost her kids, hadn’t been there to help her through her pain. He’d left her alone so many times, and that finally hit her, even more so than it had when her brother had died. In the process of her anger, she told him why she was so angry. And after her anger had faded into sadness, when the emotion had subsided to normal levels, he told her he could bring her children back.

She was in disbelief at first, because she’d tried herself to use her powers to bring her kids back to no avail. However, when he did it, it worked. Only the twins had to be resurrected within her as they had no solid vessel. It was during the resurrection of the twins they he recognized the curse on his daughter. After some research, he learned the details of the curse and who’d done it, and while he tried to get him to break the curse, it wasn’t possible, but he at least now knew there was a way around it. After he told Adeline about the curse, she officially forgave him for leaving, and found some peace in the life she had to look forward to with her kids. Though, to avoid some of the weight of guilt on her, she found herself blaming magic for the problems within her life, and decided her kids would not have magic in their lives.

Years later, Adeline still lived in her home town with her daughter Kahlia and her twins Audrey and Parker. Most of the time, her life is consumed with being a stay at home mom, though she does make teas and perfumes and sells them out of her home as a hobby.

Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen’s adventure pt. 11

As they were hanging out Britt had kept her duel disk by her side but she always felt as if she was being watched. No she knew Yami watched her from the side of Yugi and she was used to that this was a bit different. She looked around for a minute catching a brief glimpse of blonde hair.

'someones watching but doesn't want to be known.' Britt thought

It was after that and a few days later when Battle City was happening. Britt and Yugi were walking into the tournament area looking at the little piece of something that had been sent out.

'so what is this thing? A puzzle?' Britt thought

"Hey Yugi!" Mai said running over to them

Yugi looked up "oh hey Mai." Yugi said

"Pretty big turn out for this thing." Mai said

While Yugi and Mai were talking Britt felt like they were being watched. She looked around for awhile and noticed a man in a black cloak sipping tea. She found it odd and the fact he had a computer screen infront of him.

Mai waved her hand infront of Britt seeing she seemed to be distracted and Britt looked at her.

"Sorry, I was just looking around." Britt said

"Why? These people are all losers. Except you two, Yugi has won a tournament and so have you." Mai said

"Yeah..I know." Britt said

Since Mai was one for jewelry she noticed Britt's ring and where it was on her hand. She took hold of Britt's hand looking at it.

"Did something happen since the last time I saw you?" Mai asked

"W-what do you mean?" Britt asked as she got her hand free and held it close to her.

"You didn't have that ring. So it's that serious?" Mai said in a bit of a teasing way and Britt looked away blushing.

"It's complicated..you wouldn't understand." Britt said

Mai was gonna ask but then the sound for the start of battle city was sounded off. For the moment they went their separate ways except Yugi who'd allowed Yami to take over as he followed behind Britt seeing she was still looking over at the table when it started. Suddenly they heard Joey very loudly and when that caught their attention it made sense to Britt right then.

'he's a rare hunter? He's the one who took Joey's Red eyes Black Dragon and caused him to be late for his sister's operation.' Britt thought

They went over as they seen what was going on.

"Joey what happened?" Yami asked him

"This guy he's a rare hunter, he's one the guys who took my red eyes." Joey said

'that's Yugi Motou who holds the dark Magician and Britt Petrova holder of the Goddess of the Nile.' The rare hunter thought

"What about you two? Would you risk your rare cards to duel me?" The rare hunter asked

Britt was going to agree when Yami put an arm out infront of her.

"I'll duel you, leave her out of this." He said

"Yami, I can help. Please." Britt said

"No Britt, let me handle this one.." Yami said to her

Britt knew in a way that he was doing this to keep her out of losing her goddess of the Nile but at the same time she knew that it wasn't going to help when she would duel others. She had to do this on her own and not rely on him all the time.

"Very well but if you lose, I will be taking your dark Magician then I will be dueling the girl." The rare hunter said

Yami wasn't going to let that happen but when the duel started Yami activated the hollo imagers that were on the sides of the duel disk to start the duel.

Joey and Britt were standing back watching from the sides as they were not to interfere.

Yami took a draw from his deck as he had his five cards.

"I'll start. I summon Betta the Magnet warrior in attack mode and two face down cards." Yami said

Watching they seen the rare hunter hunter took his turn.

"I draw then next I use graceful Charity which allows me to draw three cards and discard two." He said

Watching as it was going back and forth with the duel Britt was a bit worried for Yami but she'd noticed the rare hunter had more than one graceful charity which made her wonder what was he up to.

'I hope he knows what he's doing.' Britt thought

'he's our pharaoh, one of the best duelists. Trust in him.' Her other side told her.

After a few turns it was seeming to be going in Yami's favor but it wasn't long before they realized the rare hunter was looking for exodia cards. Yami used one of the cards from his deck to stop him from never summoning Exodia in the duel leaving that when it was said and done Yami was the victor.

"Yes!" Britt said

Yami went over to the rare hunter to get Joey's red eyes then he seen that the rare hunter had done so he knew his cards and could guess each of them. He ripped the cards as they were not useable to others and went to give Joey his card back but Joey would not accept it.

Britt was turning away to leave for a duel of her own when she heard a menical laughter.

'This is bad. We have more to deal with than I thought.' Britt thought

'did you expect anything less with how danger finds us?' Brittania thought

'well no. I am the reincarnated Queen.' Britt thought back

"keep watch Pharaoh. I'll be watching and when you least expect it I'll get your puzzle. Not only that I'd keep watch on your Queen. I know who she is and I'll be waiting for the chance to have my rare hunters grab her." The voice coming from the rare hunter said

"I won't let you touch her! Who are you?" Yami said angered by the threat.

'there will only be 12 finalists in this tournament. So we'll have to make sure we're part of the twelve.' Yami and Britt thought at the same time.

Britt debated what she was going to do next after finding out there was more then meets the eye. She decided to walk with Yami just in case since rare hunters were out there.

That was until they found two duelists to do a tag team duel with. It didn't take them long with Britt having her Goddess and Yami having the Dark Magician when they were able to have the two on the field at the same time they used a double attack to finish and win the duel. That gave Britt two locator cards and Yami three locator cards. With the rare cards they were gave they didn't really use them in their decks. Britt knew with her deck she had to use specific cards. Yami though had put Joey's red eyes in his deck since Joey wanted him to keep it til he could earn it back.

"we have a good start. Soon we'll have enough to enter." Yami said to Britt.

Britt nod in agreement to what he said

"Yes we do." She admitted to him glad they were working together

Hathor, Bre and Nana had gone out on their own to try to win what they could, they wanted to join Britt and Yami when they reached the finals.

Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen’s adventures pt. 10

After the announcement of the tournament all of them had gone home. Each had information that the other two didn't know about. For Hathor and Yugi they were aware of the Prince that was destined to come back to help Britt and Yami, while Yami and Britt knew information about their past and destiny.

Things had gone back to normal, Yami went back within the puzzle while they figured it out. Britt took the chance to take a shower as she thought about all of what she'd learned. She didn't hear him calling for her anymore which brought her some peace that she wasn't hearing him when she was doing things.

'My birthday falls this week, I turn sixteen before the tournament.' Britt thought

Part of her wanted to back out of this tournament and not even compete but the part of her that knew he needed her help was stronger and she would risk it all for him. She knew her Goddess was on the line here when she would step into the tournament.

'If I lose then I lose the Goddess...' Britt thought

don't worry love, I would get it back for you. Yami thought to her

She smiled a bit hearing his voice but she blushed at his thought of calling her love. She got out as she dressed for bed, she layed down there at first looking at the ceiling and then she reached for the paper Zoey had gave her looking at it.

'this...this was my...no our...family.' Britt thought

Hathor was thinking about the things Zoey said about Britt and the Pharaoh when it came to their bond. She wondered how long they had being exchange students before Yami and Britt would be separated.

'When our time as exchange students are up, Britt, Bre, Nana and I will go back to Egypt. Britt will be heart broken to have to leave but..I like Yugi..I don't want to leave either.' Hathor thought

Britt had fell asleep with the paper close by her, she was a bit exhausted to say the least. So much had happened in one day that she was not sure how to process it all. She knew the same as Hathor that their time as exchange students would be coming to an end soon.

The next day Mr. Motou had gotten them breakfast made. Britt stretched as she opened her eyes and thought about what it'd of been like to wake up with Yami beside her knowing that at some point in her past she did.

Yugi was already at the table as he seen the four girls coming to the table and sitting down. Britt yawned a bit as she covered her mouth. Bre and Nana laughed a bit looking at her.

"So, what happened last night? You all came in pretty late." Bre asked

"Nothing much..nor anything you need concern yourself about." Britt answered

Mr. Motou came putting the plates infront of them as they were all talking. He caught the word date as one of the things said and he cleared his throat a bit making the five of them look at him.

"There was a date last night?" Mr. Motou asked

"Sorta." Hathor said

"Sounds like a double date you ask me." Nana said

"What?" Britt asked

"You and the Pharaoh, Hathor and Yugi?" Nana guessed

Hathor and Britt both blushed a bit at her words and Yugi looked a bit bashful at the same time. None of them agreed or denied the double date but their reactions were obvious.

"Ah ha! So you did." Nana said

"Any kissing?" Bre asked

"Not with me and Yugi..but Britt on the other hand." Hathor said

Britt blushed a bit "So what? I found out a lot." Britt said

Mr. Motou knew already that Britt was the reincarnation of the Pharaoh's Queen. He wasn't surprised in the least but he was responsible for the four girls while they were exchange students.

"Be careful." Mr. Motou said

"Hm, careful. Words I don't think I can live with during the upcoming tournament." Britt said

"We're entering!" Bre and Nana said

Britt just looked at them knowing from what Ishizu mentioned there was going to be a lot of danger. She opened her mouth to object but Bre and Nana both put their hands up to shut her up.

"You are our sister, and we love you. You cannot do this on your own. We are going and that is final." They said to her

Britt wanted to object and fight but she knew her sisters well enough to know they would be just as stubborn as she was going to be. She wouldn't let Yami go in this alone and they were making it clear neither was she.

"I'm entering too." Hathor said

"What? But, Hathor it-" Britt didn't get to finish as Hathor cut her off.

"I am your cousin and I love you like a sister. I am entering to be there for your safety." Hathor said

After that for the next couple of days were normal, Britt's parents had been in town setting up for Britt and Bre's birthday party. Hathor and Nana had invited the friends of Britt's at the school but they'd gathered word people from Egypt were coming for her birthday party.

Yami had been in charge of keeping Britt distracted, so he kept her in her guest room to make sure she didn't mess up anything. She would look at him but he would pull her close as he had her sitting on his lap.

"What are you doing? We are supposed to be getting ready for the tournament." Britt said

"Someone said your birthday was today." Yami said

"So? It's just another day. We have to be getting ready and I know the ri-" she was cut off by Yami kissing her and she kissed him back at first but then she pulled away.

"We really should be preparing for the tournament." Britt said as she looked down.

Yami put his hand under her chin to make her look at him. "Taking one day to celebrate the day you were born is not a bad thing." Yami said

"But the closer we get it's going to get harder to leave when the exchange program is up." Britt said

there was a silence between them for awhile but then they went looking for something when they went into a kitchen and a box was left there. Britt seen it was for her and opened it seeing that it was a dress and shoes for tonight.

"huh?" Britt asked

"seems someone wants you to be dressed up for something." Yami said

Britt took the box into her room and closed the door to be alone. It was a few minutes before she came out and walked out with the purple dress on and one inch heals. Yami turned and looked at her seeing how she seemed a bit uncomfortable but he walked to her and that's when she realized she could look him directly in his eyes without having to looking up at him because she was an inch shorter than him.

'I..I can look him eye to eye..' Britt thought but she blushed a bit at how she felt so uncomfortable right now.

"No need to blush Britt, you're beautiful." Yami said

Britt gave him a brief smile.

It was later when he was leading her to the party and she was blindfolded. Just so she didn't fall he'd picked her up holding her where she'd be comfortable. Britt didn't care for being blind folded but she tolerated it.

When she felt him put her down she wasn't sure, she felt something beside her and her hand went out she felt it was Bre's hand so she knew Bre had to be blindfolded too.

Once the bloindfold was pulled off of the two girls, everyone was there infront of them.

"Surprise!" They said

Britt realized it was a surprise birthday party, the twin girls smiled seeing that their friends from home were there and they seen their parents. Yami came up beside Britt taking her hand and she looked at him smiling.

"you knew about this." Britt asked

"They asked me to distract you, it seemed to of worked a bit. Now what is the first thing you want to do?" Yami said to her

Britt looked around for a minute seeing that there was plenty of guests but the place had a stage and she smiled knowing exactly what she wanted. She looked at him as she let his hand go and took her twin's hand as they both went up on the stage. Hathor and Nana went up joining them as Britt made a motion to her friend who started some music and the girls started to dance up on the stage.

Yugi and his group of friends found Yami then watched as the girls were dancing up on stage. When the next song came on Britt started singing as they were dancing and she motioned for Tea to come up to join them. Tea made her way up as she joined the four up on the stage but Britt's singing made Yami put a hand on his head.

'her voice...'Yami thought as a bit of memory came to him.

After that Britt came down, many of her friends back home surrounded her asking her when she'd be back.

"I don't know, maybe when this student exchange program ends but I don't think I want to." Britt said

"Ooh, does Egypt Tournament Champ Britt Petrova have a boyfriend here in domino city?" One of them asked

"well.." She started and then she heard Yami's voice "that would be me."

As her friends took a look at him Britt went over wrapping her arms around him. Yami held her close and she just smiled a bit at him.

"So when did you two start dating?" Another asked

"Uh, not very long." Britt answered as Yami nod

Not long after her parents came over, Britt let go of Yami and she showed her parents respect as she felt him let her go. Angela and Max Petrova had came over and looked at their daughter. Britt had always been a daddy's girl so her father was a bit protective of all his daughters.

"Happy Birthday Britt." Her mother said handing her a box.

Britt smiled taking it as she looked at it before she opened it. Inside was a ring that seemed to of been made of gold as she took it out and looked at it.

"What is this?" Britt asked her mother

Max spoke up and decided to speak up since this part was a bit hard for him to accept even though they had known since she was ten years old.

"Careful with it, it's quite old but it belongs to you Britt. It..was found in your former life's tomb." Max said

Britt wasn't sure what to say as she looked at it then looked over at Yami. Yami came over hearing that part and he looked at it before he looked at her.

"May I?" He asked as she handed it to him.

Yami carefully took her hand and placed the ring where it would have been five thousand years ago. Britt looked at it seeing where he placed it and felt a sense of belonging with it. She looked at her parents knowing this couldn't be easy on them.

"Dad, I-" Britt started but he didn't let her finish.

"I've denied it enough and you have lived with people judging you because of what happened when you started sleep walking, but it's over now.. So before that program is up are you going to want to come back to domino City?" Max asked her

"I do, I like it here." Britt answered

Part of her wanted to tell her dad about the tournament coming up, that she was going to face some bad people and could get hurt but to keep him calm and not have him be against Yami she kept quiet. Yami on the other hand held her close to him as he looked at her before he looked at her father.

"Mr. Petrova, Britt is participating in the coming tournament. She's aware of some bad guys coming and I wanted to assure you that I will keep her safe." Yami said

"I can take care of myself, I don't need protecting!" Britt insisted

She heard laughing near by and she looked seeing one of her friends who liked her. She stayed by Yami as she watched him coming towards them.

"Of course you don't. The reincarnated Queen can handle herself." Jake said

Hearing those words Britt realized Jake knew the truth the whole time, she never had to of told him but it didn't seem to make much of a difference in this situation.

"Mr. Petrova, I begged you not to send her here. She's choosing him again just as she did 5,000 years ago." Jake said

"So what if I am? What's it to you?" Britt asked

"I'm in love with you! I've been in love with you for over five thousand years and you choose him everytime." Jake said to her

"I don't feel the same about you." Britt said

Max knew this was a bit out of hand and he had Hathor take care of Jake. Returning his attention to Yami and Britt he sighed a bit hearing about the tournament and knowing the risk.

"You must be careful Britt, let him protect you." Max said

"But daddy, he can't protect himself and protect me at the same time." Britt argued

"Britt, listen to your father." Angela said

"Yes, mama." Britt said

After so long it was mingling with everyone until they got to the presents. The twins went up sitting opening the presents that were given to them. Britt and Bre smiled as they were given things from back home that they couldn't get in Domino City.

Tina, a friend of Britt and Bre's presented to them some clothes from her parents store. Each of the twins looked at it and Britt blushed a bit on some.

"My parents made sure you girls have dresses for any dances that come up. After all there will be homecoming dances, prom, and well you know." Tina said

"Yeah, I'm aware." Britt said

"Oh, Tina you haven't met Britt's boyfriend.." Bre said

"Boyfriend? Ms. I'm staying single no matter what has a boyfriend?" Tina asked

"Sorta, we've only like went out once." Britt said

"Hey once or not, I wanna meet the guy who took my friend out for a date." Tina said

"Technically it was a double date." Hathor said

Looking over Britt seen Hathor wearing four inch heels which made her taller because of the heels but Britt preferred her one inch heals since she was shorter than Yami.

"Oh so you're dating someone too?" Tina asked

"Uh not technically. I didn't kiss him like Britt did her date." Hathor said

"Ooh. Though Britt isn't the type to kiss and tell." Tina reminded Hathor

Yami and Yugi debated how Yami should come across in this moment with them separated. Most people knew what Yugi looked like but since the battle at dungeon dice monsters Yami had taken on Yugi's image for the time.

"Just tell them you're me. When the tournament starts we'll be doing the tournament anyway." Yugi said

Joey and Tristan had been busy talking to people and had been taking some snacks when offered. They'd eventually came over hearing that part that Yugi said

"What's going on?" Joey said

"Britt, she's getting questioned about Yami so I told him to say he's me." Yugi said

"Well that does make sense." Tristan said

Yami walked away from the group to go over to them. He got beside Britt and wrapped his arm around her. Britt looked over seeing him and she smiled.

"Hi" Britt said

"Hey, you seem to be surrounded." Yami said

"No big deal. Really. You don't need to start protecting me now." She said with a bit of a laugh.

"So is this him? The boyfriend?" Tina asked as she nudged Britt a little.

The party went well and after a few days they'd gone to where sign ups were. Among the group was Yugi, Britt, Bre, Nana,Hathor, Tea, Joey and Tristan as they all walked in the place. As they entered the man behind the counter looked at the group.

"May I be of some assistance?" He asked the group

"Hi, we came to register for the battle city tournament and get our duel disks." Yugi said

"Well then my young friends you have entered into the correct place." He said then looked back "You are fortunate since I have seven duel discs left on my shelf. But first I have to make sure you are qualified to register." The man said

"Ok I'm Yugi Motou" Yugi said

The man went to the computer entering his name "Alright, Yugi Motou." He said and then looked "Not bad, you've got five stars. That's the highest rank." The man said

"Where does this information come from?" Yugi asked

The man moved the monitor showing them Yugi's profile. "Kaiba corp did extensive research on duelists around the world and compailed into a database. This shows your skill level and the rarest card you've ever played in a duel." The man went on to explain the rest to them about the system then handed one duel disk to Yugi.

"Now whose next?" The man asked

"I guess me, I'm Britt Petrova." Britt said to the man

The man moved the monitor back "alright, Britt Petrova." He said before he then looked at the chart. "Congratulations you qualify as well with a five star rating. Quite the rarest card you have there miss." He said handing her a duel disk.

Bre, Nana and Hathor got up there after their cousin coming out with a four star rating each and getting a duel disk.

"I want a register too. Joey wheeler's the name." Joey said

The man checked the screen seeing what it said for Joey. The man told Joey his result was one star and way too low for entering which made Joey have a fit in the store. The man noticed the rare card Joey had and altered his results.

"My apologies Joey you actually have four stars and qualify." He said giving the duel disk to Joey

After that they all left heading out for getting ready.

Yandere Jail pt. 1

Britt's POV:

I don't know how or why it happened but cops came to my family home and arrested me just cause some people said I did it. I've never hurt anyone but when they took me in they decided just in case to hold me in prison while under investigations. I was led to a room as I passed cells hearing people whistle at me. I noticed the cells were a mix of boys and girls some with just boys.

"Here is your cell, play nice." He said to me and then yelled in "Sehkret you got a roommate, be nice to the girl."

Sehkret..oh please don't be.. I thought

When I walked in and saw his back, that tan skin that matched mine and that spikey hair I knew who it was. See I'd had a crush on him in high school but every girl wanted him so I let my chance go. I never thought I'd see him again after graduation but I wondered...why was he here? He turned around and I was shocked, those once violet eyes I couldn't stop staring at in school were a dark red color.

"Petrova, what are you doing in a place like this?" He asked

"I was framed.." I said

Atem's POV:

"I was framed.." She said

This girl was too innocent for her own good, even I knew that. She wouldn't last a day here with how the men were. I knew I'd have to look out for her especially with us being cellmates while she was here.

"Why are you here? Your eyes th-their red.." She asked me

"I've been here for a little while now, this isn't the place for good girls like yourself. I went overseas to Japan for some time when I came back my girlfriend had another guy in her bed so I killed him in front of her." I said

I walked overseeing she wouldn't even look at me and I had her look in my eyes. Her eyes shown she was scared and for someone who never did anything wrong, I knew she was. I smirked though seeing she wasn't that bad looking.

"No worries, you'll be safe with me." I said to her Damn, why didn't I notice her more back in high school? Maybe because she didn't try like the others. I thought

"Which bunk do you want? Top or bottom?" I asked her

"Uh t-top.." She said

I nod as I let her go and she went over climbing the steps as she laid down. I went and sat down as I heard her crying softly. She was so different than that bitch I was here over.

Britt's POV:

I had softly cried myself to sleep since there was nothing better to do. Damn that Laila she'd gotten away with it and I was suffering the consequences because she had something of mine at the crime scene. I was awakened by the sound of the guards told us we could go out. I got down as I walked, some of the girls on the inside briefly talked with me.

"You should know the rules in this place." Kaitlyn said

"What rules?" I asked

"Your cell-mate, if he's a man then until you're free from here he owns you. He can do whatever he wants to you and the guards won't do nothing." Kaitlyn said "Wait what? That can't be.." I said

"It's true. See over there, the redhead. She was new like you but her cellmate is a man. He made her submit to him and to be only his..even if she gets out of here she's his cause he branded her. That happens here too, so your cellmate could do it to you." Kaitlyn said

I had looked overseeing the girl Savannah I was aware she'd had a male cellmate too named Derek. I couldn't imagine what she may have gone through to get to where she was. I did see on her neck a brand mark and shivered a bit knowing she'd never get free. I didn't think Atem would be that way, he never showed me the time of day in high school so why would he now? Even so, I was gonna get out when they realized I was innocent. I talked with Kaitlyn until I felt a pair of arms snake around me. "Snow, I see you met my new cellmate Britt. She's way too innocent for this place believe me I know she couldn't even speak up in school." Atem said

"We can make sure she's not messed with, are you claiming her?" Kaitlyn asked him "We all know you have a gal outside this place."

"Had, she was a waste of time." Atem said then I felt his gaze shift on me and I looked up at him. To say he didn't scare me in some way was an understatement but to think that I was over my crush on him was a lie. He adjusted me to seem to get a good view of me. "Such a pretty girl you are, I bet you're loyal, unlike the slut." Atem said as he smirked then looked at Kaitlyn "I am going to claim her, so let everyone know the innocent princess here is mine." He said and I opened my mouth to protest but he glared so I shut it.

When he's not glaring or trying to be so...dominate he's still attractive. I thought

Atem's POV: I dragged her out of there before anyone could stop me as I took her to our cell and closed the door. I heard her move fast and go to the top bunk as she sat there with her back to me. I chuckled some watching that long hair of hers that reached to the middle of her back. I walked over standing and looking up at her.

"You think they'll get you out? Your family?" I asked

"My parents will do whatever it takes. Laila will pay for this." Britt said "Well look at you, you do have some spunk in there. Here I thought you were just a quiet girl who hanged with her little group of friends." Atem said

I saw her look at me in shock that I knew about that. I started to remember more about her, her and her brother always fought. Her twin sister and younger sister admired her and those friends. The five girls she loved to hang with always by her side. Tanya Knight, a famous tailors daughter liked this girl too.

"How did you.." She didn't finish as I smirked "I noticed you Britt, you stared at me from afar in school. When there were brief times we crossed paths and I looked you looked away." I said and watched as a blush crept on her place.

She's going to be amusing to have around. Atem thought

Britt's POV:

Just like usual we were heading out and I went to the kitchen. I felt weird hanging with the kitchen people as I remembered what had just happened prior to getting here. I quickly realized he was going to keep going with it and here I was powerless to do anything. After everyone was served I was able to eat and I ate in quiet.

After that, we were sent outside and I caught up with the girls. Kaitlyn didn't seem to look well and I wondered if she was okay. Before I could ask she suddenly got sick and I worried for her.

"Kaitlyn..are you okay?" I asked

"I will be. It's nothing to worry about, what about you? My cell isn't far from yours and I heard noises coming from your cell." Kaitlyn said

"Uh..well.." I didn't feel like talking about it.

We talked for a little while but then Atem came over and picked me up. I blushed some but looked at him. "Put me down!" I yelled at him "No, it's time to shower." He said

My blush got even redder cause it meant I would have to take my clothes off around him. He merely noticed and smirked as he kept walking with me. He set me down and had my back to the wall. I looked at him and knew this wasn't going to be a shower I would have normally had.

"We can have some fun while in the shower." Atem said

"N-No. I-It's a shower." I said

He just smirked as he went to get his clothes off and I took mine off. I didn't have a choice in the matter and when we went out the water felt nice it was hot. I closed my eyes which was my mistake.

Needless to say, I think it's obvious what he did. He did say he'd try every time he got a chance and in this case, it was no different.

"Don't worry you'll get another chance in the cell." He whispered I tried to do what I could for washing and I secretly made the water warm so I could wash before they made us get out. I knew I had to take control or he'd take advantage whenever he could. He seemed to notice the water had been still warm.

"That's odd the warm water back there it normally goes cold." Atem said

"I dunno, maybe you didn't last as long as you thought." I said

I walked in the cell and climbed up to the top bunk and layed down. I looked at the ceiling and I knew I was vulnerable laying this way but I didn't care. I knew my words provoked him but how could I go about saying 'hey I have this gift dealing with water and that's how the water stayed warm.' I fell asleep exhausted from my time in the shower that I was asleep for only an hour before I felt him laying on my bed and holding me.

"Britt, are you awake yet?" Atem asked me

I kept my eyes closed as I laid there like I was asleep. I knew as long as I was asleep he'd leave me be for now. I wondered how long that would work.

Weeks went by and I dealt with this still it was the only thing that practically got me by. I saw the guard coming and I had leaned against the wall my energy here was zapped from how many times he made me endure him.

"Petrova, your times up here. They found you're innocent your free." The guard said

I looked up as I forced myself up walking out of the cell but not before he pulled me back to kiss me.

"See you when I get out." Atem said

I just looked at him as I went to get in my clothes as my mom and dad were there to pick me up. I walked to the car and got in looking out the window. I saw everyone was outside and as I looked at the steel gatekeeping them in I saw Kaitlyn and the other girl wave. I waved back as I would miss them but I just had to wait.

Once home I ran to the bathroom and got in for a bath. Wanting to wash away all my experience there but it'd never go away. I would never be able to forget what had happened to me there. I started crying a bit cause I worried about what would happen when he really did get out.

As I was got out to dry with the towel around me Bre came out and she handed me something. I took it looking at it my eyes a bit surprised. I looked at her with a questioning look.

"Call it twin intuition but you were pressured into it. Who was the call mate?" Bre asked

I looked at it before I looked at her again "Atem Sehkret." Britt said

Bre gasped "Your high school crush..eesh...what did he want?" Bre asked

"He wants me...when he gets out...grandfather will hand me over if this comes back positive...I know it will." Britt said "Take it" Bre said

I nod and after taking it to find out as we walked out for five minutes. I got dressed and returned to the bathroom with my twin. I looked at the results praying for it to be negative but when I looked my heart dropped.

Pairing: Werewolf Atem x Britt Petrova 

I met up with my friends like nothing had happened but my thoughts and my body told me to go back. I knew I needed time away from him cause the moment I went back I may not stop still I have to go to school.

"Something wrong?" Miranda asked

"No, not at all." I said

We walked for some time passing a few people not minding. We were out for hours from what it seemed and I was every so often looking at the time. My best friends noticed how happy I seemed to be.

"New guy in your life?" Nina asked

I took a sip of a drink "Something like that. We're not going public." I said

"Oh so secretive. Nice." Olivia said

When it was time we went out separate directions and I was heading back to the meeting place. I was running since it was easier but I had to stop when a limo stopped infront of me. A tall man with short brown hair stepped out and looked at me.

"Need a ride?" He asked

"No, I'm nearly close to my destination." I said

I went to walk around the limo but he grabbed my wrist and pinned me to the limo. He seemed to smell the air and growl as he let me go.

"You already belong to someone, how unfortunate for me." He said

"Get off me!" I said

Suddenly I saw Atem show up and punch this man off me as he picked me up. I was surprised and blushed some as he held me.

Atem's POV:

I was sitting outside waiting for her the smell of her scent within a certain area. I was content with the idea she'd return to me soon. That content was disrupted when I heard the sound of a limo stopping and I knew one werewolf that wouldn't be so lenient on something that was mine.

"Get off me!" I heard her yell

I shifted into my wolf form running to where she was and I shifted back adjusting my clothes as I ran over to them and punched Seto off of her as I picked her up. Seeing her blush was cute as I held her close.

"Nice try Seto but keep your hands off her. She's mine!" I said

"Yours? Well I caught your scent on her. She's quite a choice for you for this time of season." Seto said

"Season?" Britt asked

"I'll explain soon. When you're ready." I said

"You'll have to explain before she starts growing ears and a tail." Seto said

I glared at Seto knowing Britt wasn't ready yet for the reality of werewolves. She seemed confused and I just held her as I soothed her worries. I walked away taking her with me as I felt her put her head on my shoulder. I didn't want Seto anywhere near her. I took her in the house and set her down on her feet as I kissed her.

Britt's POV:

"Nice try Seto but keep your hands off her. She's mine!" Atem said to this Seto

"Yours? Well I caught your scent on her. She's quite a choice for you for this time of the season." Seto said

"Season?" I asked

I was confused and he just held me as he soothed my worries. Atem walked away, taking me with him as I put my head on his shoulder. After taking me in the house he placed me down and kissed me. I kissed him back my arms wrapping around his neck. I felt his smirk in the kiss as he picked me up taking me to the room. When he sat me down though I stopped him and pulled away.

"Ears and tail, what does that mean? Season?" I asked

"All in good time." He said

"No, now or you get nothing." I said

My body wanted him badly but I wouldn't give in to temptation or lust like this. I wanted answers and I would stay to my word to know who I'm really being in bed with besides my teacher. He seemed to scan my eyes for a minute before sighing and rubbing his neck.

"Alright" He said as I sat there waiting for him to speak instead I saw wolf ears and a tail. I mentally felt I should of been shocked but truthfully I wasn't even surprised by this.

"What are you?" I asked

He got close and I backed up on the bed till he had me between him and the headboard. "A werewolf, Britt." Atem said

"Are you planning to turn me..is that why I-" Before I could finish he kissed me and I kissed back. "Yes, but turning females takes time." Atem said as he kissed my neck. "What season is coming?" I asked

He stopped kissing my neck and looked in my eyes "Mating Season, the one time we chose a forever mate. I was planning to leave the school during mating season but...then I smelled you." He said and I could tell he meant it. "These last few weeks, you've been falling in love with me. It's not mating season yet but a few days early never hurt and it increases your odds of turning."

I was learning so much and yet I wanted him. He could clearly tell but he put a finger up when I went to kiss him. I had more questions but my instincts were telling me to hold off.

"Questions. You clearly have more." Atem said

I pouted some but knew he was right. "You said it takes time...for a girl like me to turn."

He smirked as he got close to my ear "You get a little closer to becoming my she-wolf everytime we're intimate. But that's only for turning girls into half wolves, I want you a full werewolf like me so the scratching and biting has to happen. Keep your urges down when we're in class during the week or I'll have to punish you." Atem said

I'd be lying if I said the threat to punish me wasn't a bit thrilling at the thought. Considering I'd noticed all these changes but I knew this relationship was risky.

Atem's POV:

Life as a werewolf doesn't always have it's best moments. I work as a teacher in Egypt and none of my students are taking interest. The girls all seem to want to flirt with the boys and a certain student seems to throw herself at almost anyone including me. It was getting close to mating season and I was planning to take my usual time off during it that is...till I caught her scent.

Britt's POV:

I had spent some time in Japan on the wishes of my parents but I was returning to Egypt my home where I would be attending college. So today actually was my first day and I was put in Mr. Sehkret's class which didn't bother me. I was a good girl who didn't normally do anything bad so as I walked in I handed him my slip from the office. He took it looking at it "Brittney Petrova, correct?" He asked. "Yes but I prefer Britt." I said to him and I couldn't help noticing he was a good looking person. He couldn't of been no more than a couple years older than me. "I see. Well ms. Petrova please take a seat in the third row here in the front." He said and I took my seat.

Atem's pov:

Class was going fine till lunch. That's when the students left except Ms. Petrova she was looking over her notes. She took a lot of them which impressed me since the other students didn't seem to care and I asked a few questions figuring out she was behind from her former teachings in Japan.

Perfect. I thought

Her smell was intoxicating to me, though she was human I knew how to easily fix that. It'd take time to convert a human into a werewolf as I am. I knew I wouldn't be taking that vacation I was planning that I normally take cause I knew.

She would become mine

Within reason, I couldn't have a relationship with a student being her teacher so I had to think outside the box. No evidence the school board could find in the school to lose my job. Doesn't mean I won't still use that vacation time but working my way in was first.

"Britt. You should head to lunch" I said to her

"Yes. Mr. Sehkret" Britt said to me as she left for lunch.

I couldn't lose control yet, three weeks I had and if things didn't change slightly in three weeks then I would take the werewolf way about it to make her desire me and only me.

No ones POV:

During the lunchtime Britt stayed to herself as she ate her lunch, she'd packed a lunch as she ate. She had a mix of meat and vegetables but she couldn't help feeling she was being watched but when she looked around she didn't see anything.

Huh, I swear I was being watched. Britt thought

Still, she handled everything as she went to clean up but there were always the popular girls. They approached her "Well look if it isn't the new girl. You have a lot of nerve staying after class when it's lunchtime." The girl Laila said and Britt rolled her eyes "I was checking my notes." Britt said as she tried to walk past her and the girl laughed "Such a freak, wanting to be the teacher's pet." Laila said

Atem's POV:

I had watched her during lunch and she seemed to listen to her instincts as she looked around. I knew she was going to be mine but learning more about her was key. Laila was an issue since she's the girl who throws herself at any man. I disliked how she talked to my soon to be mate and I knew that this wasn't going to be the last time. When it was time I walked in the class as I sat down in my seat watching as the students came back in, Britt walked in alone as she took her seat then adjusting her notes on her desk. I quickly realized she kept her things organized. I started class once everyone was in class then when class was over I told them their homework assignments.

"Ms. Petrova, a word" I said

She walked over to my desk "yes Mr. Sehkret?" Britt asked me

"Your former studies are behind, I would like to offer you private tutoring lessons to catch you up. It'll take several weeks but it'll be in best interest for your grade." I said to her and I saw she considered what I said "I do want to pass the class, so I would like to take you up on it." Britt said

I kept myself from smirking but I wrote an address "Meet me here, don't tell anyone. This is our little secret." I said to her and she accepted the paper and nod before leaving my class.

Time Traveler pt. 1

What would you do if you had been pulled back into the past? It wasn't just any past but it was your own past life where you had to live in it till you were sent back to your own time. Things may happen that in normal ways can't be undone, but if you were given a potion that everything that happens to you in your past life doesn't affect your present day self...what would you do?

I came to know this very well as I was an average girl or so I thought living in Cairo, Egypt. Dad invited his friends over from Japan to visit us in Egypt. Which is what led to my spiral into the past. I was just living my life like an ordinary teen unaware of the fate destiny had given me. My sisters always treated me like I was meant for more but they never said why.

Everyday was the same for the longes time till they came to visit. My dad went to the airport to get his friend and his friend's grandson. I told him we'd be at the hang out if he needed us. So I got my horse and met up with my sisters as we went on ahead.

Max's pov:

I am the father of four children, my oldest Aiden keeps his distance from my other children his sisters who are special in their own way. My 2nd oldest always looks out like something is coming and as a father I decide not to ask because I already know the answer to the question. She isn't sure what is coming but she can feel it.

Today she has been looking out more but today was my friend and colleagues visit. She went with her sisters to their favorite hang out by horse while I went to pick them up. As I saw them come out of the airport after I parked I offered to help them.

"Thank you, Nice to see you again Max." Solomon said shaking my hand

"And to you Solomon, this is your grandson?" I asked

"Yes, This is Yugi. Where are your children Max?" Solomon asked

"My daughters are at their favorite hang out and Aiden is off with his friends. Yugi, If you like I could drop you off where the girls are for you to meet them." I offered

"He feels familiar. Something is coming and maybe we'll find the one for that bracelet." Yami said

"Right, Ishizu said you had a queen and that is how to find her." I said

The ride wasn't that long as before I knew it Mr. Petrova had stopped the car and I looked seeing the place. I carefully got up and thanked them before I walked in. The place was packed with teenagers and adults. I wondered how to find Mr. Petrova's daughters when I heard the sound of someone singing.

Yami and I looked towards the stage seeing a girl with brunette hair with purple highlights on the stage. She didn't seem very happy with her arms crossed over her chest and whoever she was looking at was the clear reason of the song she chose. A blonde haired male got up and she looked right at him.

"It can't be." Yami said beside me

"What?" I asked

"She looks familiar." Yami said

I looked at her seeing she was done with her song and going down the stairs. I saw the guy grab her arm and she turned faced him and pinned him to the ground without even trying. He seemed to like it but she went back to her table so I figured a way to get through but Yami took over for me.

Britt's pov:

I had just knocked Jake to the ground for the thousandth time in the time I've known him. He's so obsessive and annoying. I almost wish to be somewhere other than here. That thought I would regret soon enough but then I noticed someone approaching our table. He was tall, tri-color spikey hair and eyes I've dreamed of in my sleep.

"Hello" Nina siad

Nina, was a good friend and she was the one to talk first on strangers. The boy seemed unsure at first but he decided to speak.

"Hello, are you Mr. Petrova's daughters?" He asked

"We are." I said "and you are?" "I'm Yugi, he said I could meet you here." Yami said

I questioned if that was really his name as I was enjoying my drink but we offered to let him sit with us. We all talked and had drinks like soda and tea for those who wanted it. He seemed to open up and talk with us like everything was fine. I wanted a drink to go so I walked over seeing strange man in Robes as he approached me.

"Forgive me, but you have to fix the time line." He said

"Excuse me?" I asked

"You are the one, the one who was born the Nile Princess 5,000 yeas ago. The past is being threatened you must go back and fix what is being broken. Take your past life counterparts place after her death." The man said

I got my to go drink and looked at him like he was crazy. I wasn't no Queen and I didn't have a past life counterpart. He grabbed my wrist putting on a bracelet that I'd never seen before. As I felt pain shoot through me he took my to-go cup before I fell and held it. The pain was a test and I saw it glow on the eye as I relaxed.

Standing up I carefully got hold of my to-go cup as I checked to see if it'd been tampered with. I didn't see anything and I turned to walk away.

"You will fix the past, chosen Queen of the Pharaoh and take your place in your past life counter parts the moment she dies." The man said

"Pharaoh? I don't know any such thing." I said

"You're lying, you've sensed it coming for awhile." He said

I didn't want to admit anything so I went with everyone and we headed home. I walked with Yami talking to him as I had my drink. I took a sip as we walked and Heb nuzzled me. I thought it was odd but then I was still drinking the drink.

"Your horse, loyal companion." Yami said "Yes, he goes everywhere with me. I don't think he'd do well if I was gone." I said

"You enchant him." Yami said

"Enchant?" I asked

It was a weird to hear I enchant my horse but still there was more going on. So I was going to deal with it. Except for the fact that once I finished my drink and just before I fully made it home something opened pulling me back. I tried to hold on and Yami took my hand trying to hold onto me.

"Britt, hold on I'll save you." Yami said but then he saw the bracelet "It's you, you're the one I was looking for." "What are you talking about?" I asked as My hand started slipping

"The bracelet, you are the girl who fixed our past and was taken from me..." Yami said

I tried making sense of this but my hand slipped "Yugi!"

I saw him reach for me and my hand slipped from his and Heb stayed by him "Find me when you return!" Yami said

I didn't understand what was happening, what did he mean by fixing our past. I fell in the portal and I didn't know what was going to happen. All I knew was when I landed I was in sand and in front of a palace. I got up but it was only temporary as I was grabbed by guards and brought in the palace.

"Let me go." I said trying to fight but they were too strong as they made me kneel.

"Impossible." I heard that voice I'd heard tell me to find him when I returned and when I looked up I saw the same man only in royal clothing. He made a motion and the guards let me go.

I saw him walk towards me and he was taking in my facial features as he offered his hand to me. I hesitated but I put my hand in his none the less and yet he still looked at me.

"Same eyes, same hair, same skin tone." He said "tell me do you have a water drop birthmark?" "I..how did you know?" I asked

"It is you." He said then he took a look at my attire "and you have the same choice of style..only these clothes are strange." "You know me?" I asked

"Britt, it's not funny." He said then he put a hand under my chin and had me look at him and I didn't know what he was looking for but whatever it was he seemed disappointed. "You don't remember."

Britt how does he know I go by that nickname...and Yugi he said I'm the one to fix our past..but I have no idea what that means. Though the way he talked was like I've worn something similar before. I thought

"Pharaoh, are you saying this woman is our Queen incarnate?" A guard asked

"Indeed she is, but her memories have been locked." He said as he looked at me like I was expected to run and hug him. I didn't understand.

Before I could ask he led me away from the guards and I was going along with it just because there wasn't really anything else I could do. He seemed in thought as I walked beside him and I watched through a few things.

"Have we met in your time?" He asked

"Sort of.." I said as we walked "Aw man Heb is gonna go crazy without me." "Heb? You still have that horse." He said

That part was what surprised me that this Pharaoh knew my horse. Or at least he knew the name of my beloved horse. Which made no sense what so ever to me but he brought me to a room as he had me sit. I sat and noticed the bed was soft but as he was looking for something I noticed certain things about this room like for instance it was his!

Why did he bring me here? I thought

He pulled out a dress from where some things were hanging and he pushed me behind a thing to change without saying anything. I noticed he turned his back as I removed my jacket and everything else as I changed into the dress. It was two piece dress like my shirt and shorts and he was right it was my style. I noticed shoes of the era set where I could switch as I took a deep breath before changing and walked out.

"You may look." I said

When he turned to face me and his breath got caught in his thought I noticed something else. He was holding back tears in his eyes as I walked over and touched his cheek without thinking wiping the tears.

"Who has hurt you Pharaoh?" I asked

"My Queen, Brittania who liked to be called Britt. She was killed and I thought I'd never see her again until the next life but you're here." He said as he put a hand over mine "You are her. As my soul would know hers and her soul is your own. You are here for a reason Britt, even if you do not remember I want to help you. Starting with a proper introduction." He said

"Ok" I said

"I am the Pharaoh here, my name is Atem. What name is my lady given in her time?" Atem asked "and I am asking your full name." "Brittney, but I go by Britt." I said "And your family?" He asked

"Two sisters and a brother, loving parents, an annoying grandfather and the best five friends I could ask for." I said

"Bre and Nana? Akolm? Azeneth and Mirza? Maahes?" Atem said surprising me some.

"My sisters are named Bre and Nana. My brothers name is Aiden, my mother's name is Angela and my father's name is Max." I said as I sighed "but my grandfather is named Maahes."

Atem seemed to be thinking with that information as he paced a bit. Then he stopped and looked at me.

"the names are similar as is yours. Only more proving you are her." Atem said

I questioned a lot of things at the moment but then I heard the sound and a knock at the door. When I saw him open the door and he moved aside letting people inside as five girls rushed in hugging me. They looked just like my friends but I knew their names were not the same.

"Britt, we thought you were dead." Zahra said

"I'm sorry but uh I'm not your Britt." I said

The five girls backed up but looked at me in shocked as I did the best to stay calm. Atem cleared his throat getting their attention.

"She's the reincarnation of our Queen, from the future." Atem said

They were in shock but even I was in shock

Mating Season pt. 2

Pairing: werewolf Atem x Britt (Oc)

Atem's Pov:

When school was over I waited at the location, I wondered if she'd really take me up on that offer. It took half an hour but I saw her arrive. She looked cute with her books as I led her inside. We spent time over the lessons I had her learning with me.

"Work on these for a bit." I told her

While she worked on them I watched her from her shoulder which didn't seem to bother her. My sense of smell was focused on her scent. It was intoxicating and I realized one thing she was pure and innocent. I always wanted my mate to be pure before I claimed her which most of the girls in my class were not.

After a week of this, I learned quite a bit about her from the questions I asked her. During the after school studies, we did she just never knew this was my home. That secret I wanted to keep from her till I thought she was ready. I changed my methods this week to a mix of what I was doing and using my werewolf abilities. Releasing a few of my werewolf pheromones seemed to be settling in with her nicely.

Britt's Pov:

After about a week of my secret studies with Mr. Sehkret, I thought it was pretty cool. Going into my second week I noticed a difference like I was becoming drawn to him. I couldn't explain it and during one of our sessions in the middle of the week, I almost kissed him but stopped myself.

What am I doing? He's my teacher. I thought

"Sorry I should go. My friend is looking for me tonight." I said to him then gathered my things as I was heading to leave a blush was on my face but then I suddenly felt him turn me around as he put a hand under my chin as his lips met my own and I leaned in feeling like I couldn't resist. "Have a nice night Ms. Petrova. Let's keep that secret." Atem said to me

"Have a night.." I said as I left.

Atem's Pov:

I watched her and when she leaned in almost kissing me I knew my plan was working. Soon she'd be unable to fully resist me but for now, I was okay still I couldn't just let her leave without giving her what she clearly wanted so when she said she had to go to meet a friend I had her turn around as I kissed her.

"Have a night Ms. Petrova, let's keep that secret." I said to her "Have a nice night." She said

I watched her leave knowing that she wouldn't be able to resist soon enough. To think that so many mating seasons had come and gone not once did I ever think I'd find a mate to have pups with but now I have set my eyes on her.

Just a little longer..but I need to move forward in converting her soon. I thought

Britt's pov:

I couldn't believe I'd just shared my first kiss with my teacher. I couldn't tell anyone or he'd be fired, right? Still, I went to my friend Zoey's place and walked in. I sighed setting my stuff in and crashed on her couch from all my studying.

"College that hard?" Zoey asked

"No..I just I'm behind in my studies I'm having a tutor help me catch up with all my studies." I said to her as I knew I couldn't say my teacher and I was meeting I'd agreed to keep it secret.

"Uh-huh and is said tutor really hot? Well toned abs and amazing." Zoey said

I blushed hearing her description as I closed my eyes some thinking about my teacher as my eyes closed, I thought about the kiss..my first kiss. "Yeah, my tutor is hot." I said to her

Zoey smiled as she saw me blush "Did someone get her first kiss tonight?" Zoey asked and I blushed a darker cause it as a secret. Still, I passed out on my friend's couch for the rest of the night.

Atem's pov:

I was walking into class the next morning figuring everything would be as it always had been. Yet when all students came in I didn't see Britt. Inside I was worried something had happened to my soon-to-be mate. I had her number but I couldn't call her right now. So I went about with class, as usual doing the lessons scheduled for the day.

I knew I should have tried to move further with her. Atem thought

When the lunch came I dismissed the class and walked out to my car. I pulled my phone out and called her phone. It rang for a while until someone answered.

"Hello?" The female voice said

I stiffened a bit cause it wasn't her voice but some female. "Uh is Britt Petrova there?" I asked waiting for the female to answer.

"Oh she is, but she woke up this morning with a fever. I had to call on her behalf that she wouldn't be there today. Her fever just broke so she should be fine tomorrow who is this?" the female asked

"I am her tutor, we meet after school. If she's able I'd love to give her the lessons and homework for the day." I said

I heard the sound of movement with my wolf hearing. "Britt your tutor is on the phone. You need back in bed." I heard her say but the ruffling sound of the phone being moved could be heard.

"Hi..I'll be there at the same time as usual. See you then." Her sweet voice said

My wolf urges were getting the best of me as I wanted her now, tonight. I knew for her it'd seem rushed but I knew ways to make her desire nothing more than to desire me and have my pups while I worked on turning her. I knew I was less than two weeks from mating season starting and the pre effects of it were setting in with me. I also had a feeling the fever could have been caused by the pheromones I released to effect her body slowly.

After lunch, I went back and finished the class day. Some of the girls were flirting with me when it was time for them to leave, disgusting. I only wanted Britt now, she'd be the only one I desired for the rest of my werewolf life.

Let the games begin. Tonight precious Britt, you're mine. I thought

Yu-gi-oh! The Queen is found and adventure Begins Chp. 2

The flight was long that Britt kept dozing in and out and when the meals were given she had to cover her nose at first. The school was aware of her allergy so she didn't understand what was going on until the flight attendant noticed.

"Something wrong?" The flight attendant asked "The school is paying for our flight..I think she may be allergic to what you gave her." Nubia said

The flight attendant looked at the list of special meals and her look shown it was on there. She took it and replaced it with the other meal. Britt looked seeing it was a meal she could at least enjoy.

"My apologies miss." The flight attendant said

Soon they got the drinks that went with their meal and Britt fell back asleep before they arrived. She'd been encountering a reoccurring dream of the same thing feeling that she was in ancient Egypt someone was calling for her but then she woke up as she made it to the room. When she did they were landed and her classmate Nubia was looking concerned.

"Bad dream?" Nubia asked

"Reoccuring dream." Britt said, "always the same one, in the same place and I wake either before I get to the door or after I open it."

Nubia wondered what that could mean for her with everything going on as she was going to be staying with family while she didn't know where Britt was staying. As they got off and got their luggage together before heading to meet with the people who were picking them up Britt didn't talk about her dream anymore.

As they walked Nubia saw her relative standing there with her name and Britt noticed a man with grey hair standing with a sign that her name on it. Nubia was paying attention as she saw a boy come up to the man with the sign with her new friend's name.

"Hey isn't that Yugi Motou?" Nubia asked

"Huh?" Britt asked and she looked seeing the two, she saw her bracelet reacting unusually. She ignored it as they approached as she smiled a bit but Nubia was instantly still by her side. "Are you Britt Petrova?" The man asked and Britt nod smiling. "I am sir." Britt said

She wondered how strict he'd be but she saw the man smile and was overly happy to see her. "My, you've grown so much since the last time I saw you as a child. You also have become a Duel Champion like my grandson." Mr. Motou said, Britt was surprised then looked next to him with a smile "You are Yugi Motou, King of games." Britt said politely as he smiled and nodded. "And you're Nile Duelist Britt Petrova." Yugi said, "maybe we could play a game sometime." Britt just nods in agreement.

"Aw I'm jealous, you get to stay with Yugi Motou!" Nubia said as she smiled at Britt "Still I plan to come by so we all can hang out. Oh I'm Nubia Stone, I'll be going to the school too." Nubia said as she heard her aunt calling for her. "Nubia come on!"

Britt waved as Nubia had to go and soon left with Mr. Motou and Yugi, beside her where only she could see was the subconscious version of her past life Brittania who was watching. Peering out at the Puzzle with a knowing smile but Britt kept her behavior normal.

'The Pharaoh is close.' Brittania said to Britt no we're not telling anyone about you. Britt thought to Brittania

She wanted to be normal for a little while longer before she jumped into her destiny she'd heard of her whole life so she kept quiet. Little did she know that Yugi had already taken note of her millennium item and Mr. Motou had noticed it too. During the ride to the game shop it was quiet as Britt took in what they passed till they came to the game shop.

Getting out Britt was led in by them where Yugi's friends were there waiting as they all smiled seeing her and she felt very hesitant. The Blonde boy was first to approach her offering his hand as he smiled. "Nice ta meet'cha names Joey Wheeler." Joey said and Britt shook his hand, Tristan pulled Joey back after Britt let his hand go. "I'm Tristan Taylor and this is Tea Gardner." Tristan said, Britt kept her smile but she felt like she was in the spotlight knowing that there wasn't much else she felt she could do. "Nice to meet you." Britt said

"Sorry, you're probably hungry." Joey said, "Your flight is probably long." Britt knew that people were interested in her but it was Mr. Motou that got everyone's attention. "Britt, may I see your bracelet?" Britt was shocked to hear him ask but she lifted her wrist up and he carefully took her hand revealing the item on her.

"It's as I thought, this is a Millennium item." Mr. Motou said Joey and Tristan were shocked to hear that. "Wait so like Yugi's item?" Joey asked and Mr. Motou sighed "Not Quite. Yugi's Millennium puzzle belonged to a Pharaoh, this item belonged to the Pharaoh's Queen. Legend states only her reincarnation may wear it." Mr. Motou said

Britt was just quiet knowing she didn't want to be asked about what she knew her whole life. She'd kept it under wraps back in Egypt but she knew that there was danger coming now that she was in Domino City. Mr. Motou let her wrist go as everyone seemed surprised and Britt rubbed the back of her neck knowing that wasn't a big deal.

"Bracelet and Goddess of the Nile, Duel Monster of the Nile Princess." Mr. Motou said and Britt looked at him. "Bracelet, Goddess, Birth mark...and possibly looks." Britt said knowing people said she looked just like the Nile Princess who became Queen. "Is this true?" Yugi asked his grandfather

"Well, yes. If she has everything the Nile Princess had then she is the reincarnation." Mr. Motou said, everyone took in this information but then Joey spoke up "Let's not pressure her but she should meet Yami tomorrow." Joey said and Britt looked curious wondering who Yami is.

Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen adventure pt. 4

The night that started duelist Kingdom was going to be the start of it all. Britt, Hathor, Bre and Nana were preparing their decks and getting their selves ready as they headed out with Yugi to the boat. Britt had put on some sun glasses to keep people from possibly recognizing her.

"Sunglasses?" Hathor asked

"I don't like the attention. I'm not my brother." Britt said

While they were in line they started to hear commotion at the beginning of the line. Britt and the others were listening and Yugi recognized the voice as his pal Joey. It seemed Joey had been trying to figure out a way to stow away on the ship. The girls all watched as Yugi gave Joey one of his star chips so he could go on the boat with them. Once on the boat they all went over to the part of the boat where they could look out at the water.

"Thanks Yug. You didn't have to do that." Joey said

"Of course, I did Joey, I need your help." Yugi said

Britt was leaning her back against the rail as they talked, she was thinking about a few things. Her thoughts were interrupt when a female voice was heard close by.

"Well what do we have here." The female said

The group looked at her, the other Petrova's were staying close by so they noticed her too. She had blonde hair and what looked like a corset style top. The woman walked over to them and went over to Yugi.

"So, you're the Yugi kid everyone's been talking about." She said

"Hi I'm the best friend of the famous Yugi." Joey said

Mai didn't seem pleased but then he noticed the girls nearby. She didn't say anything yet to them as she looked at Yugi.

"Look either you're a champ or a chump. Cut this guy loose he's fashion challenged and deserves to be crushed in the games." She said

That was the last straw Britt couldn't take it anymore as she took off her sunglasses that hid her eyes. She wasn't going to let anyone talk down about a friend of hers.

"Hey, leave my friends alone." Britt said

Mai looked over at her seeing she'd revealed herself. She was a bit surprised to see a female champion on the boat. No one had known Britt Petrova had been in Domino City except her classmates.

"Well I didn't expect a big champ like yourself to be on this boat. Britt Petrova, Nile Duelist of Egypt and the tournament champion of Egypt. I figured you would be on another boat." Mai said

"I'm in an exchange student program right now, so I'm in Domino City. Miss..uh we never got your name." Britt said

Mai was impressed with how Britt stood up for them as she got her things and started walking away.

"The names Mai, we'll meet again in the games. I look forward to a duel with you Miss Petrova." Mai said to her as she got lost in the crowd.

Relaxing Britt put her sunglasses on and looked out at the water. She always felt a sense of comfort when it came to the way things were. The water was always calm unless someone disturbed it.

"Wow, she seemed to be a bit about herself." Hathor said

Britt shrugged it off as she went to figure out where they were staying. The trip had seemed long but who could really complain. Britt hanged with her family for a bit that is until she heard Yugi say something about cards. She ran out then towards where he was seeing that his Exodia cards had been cast over and Joey was down there getting the cards.

"This is bad, the current is strong." Britt said just as she noticed Yugi jump down to save him.

"Yugi!" Britt said but then she noticed someone threw a life raft down there. She looked over seeing Tea and Tristan and she almost wondered how they got on the boat but it wasn't important.

Once Tea and Tristan got them up, Britt found blankets and put them around the two. It wasn't much longer after that the boat was closing in on Duelist Kingdom. She felt she needed to go there but she never understood why, but she knew she didn't join this tournament for herself. When the boat stopped she got off with Yugi and the others as they were heading towards the castle. Britt didn't care at this point what happened but she knew one thing she was following her own path.

'This is it, no matter what I know what I am doing.' Britt thought

As they made it to the castle it wasn't long before they seen that Pegasus. Britt and Yugi both watched intently seeing him up there.

"Greetings Duelists! It is my Great honor to welcome you all to the Duelist Kingdom!" Pegasus said

Britt paid attention but since he didn't explain the rules and was letting everyone figure them out for themselves she figured it was best to watch the duels as they were happening.

After that was taken care of it seemed like everyone was scattering. Yugi led the group to where he was planning to duel first which was going to be up against Weevil.

Britt stayed in the background ready to leave when the duel was over as she wanted to get some duels of her own in but she stopped noticing that the person dueling looked different...his eyes caught her attention and his voice was deeper then Yugi's.

'who is he?' she thought

He was defiantly keeping up the act of being Yugi but she knew too well her friend wasn't that tall or even that deep voiced. It was that voice that made her stay and she waited listening to every turn. She pretty much blocked out the entire thing. The only thing she n oticed was how good his dueling was and that when he'd beat Weevil she smiled.

Joey noticed her starting to walk away and he put a hand on her shoulder. "Where are you going?" He asked

Britt turned around "I'm gonna find a duel, my deck type is water so I'm heading over there. Seeing Yugi's duel I get that we each have our type in our decks." She said

After that she walked away getting free from Joey, she had a few duels that she had come across. Duelists who'd thought she was some weak duelist. When she met up with Yugi again she smiled seeing he had five and Joey had three.

"Well look at you two." She said

"Hey Britt!" Joey said then looked at her duel disk and he freaked out. "Seven?! Seven stars?! How'd you end up so lucky?" He asked her

Britt looked at her glove and then at Joey "By boys who thought girls can't duel. Clearly I showed them a thing or two. I started out with two, then someone had three and the last one had two." Britt told him.

"ok, remind me never pick a duel with you." Joey said as they made their way out. They were making a fire out in the woods when they heard rustling. When they looked they seen Mai.

"Hey you guys are out here alone? I have some snacks out by my fire and a make shift shower. You girls should take the opportunity to use it before I tear it down just because you hang with boys doesn't mean you have to smell like them." Mai said

They all moved and went to Mai's fire. Tea took a shower first and everything seemed fine. They were each having their fill of snacks. When it was Britt's turn for a shower she made sure she was alone as she got herself ready to take a shower and inside the shower. She relaxed in the shower and closed her eyes.

'I see you my Queen, you are not far from me.' She heard the voice she knew too well.

Britt welcomed hearing that voice she didn't fear it as she finished her shower. Curiously she wondered how they'd be together if she so choose to. Mai was standing guard to keep the boys away from the shower.

When it was later and they split ways with Mai, she thanks her for the shower. It was still dark and they were making their way out when they heard rustling. The group turned around seeing Ryo.

"Well Look it's Bakura." Joey said

"What are you doing here?" Britt asked

Ryo gave them a story about him being there and they had some left over snacks so they shared it with him.

"Hey why don't we play a game of duel monsters for fun?" Ryo said, "All of you could put your favorite cards in Yugi's deck."

"Sounds like fun, no stars at risk." Britt said to him

As they all got ready and chose a duel monster that was their favorite putting it in the deck of Yugi's. Britt was a bit hesitant since her favorite card was her ace and she wondered about it. Then again she trusted Yugi so she did and once they were ready Bakura laughed.

"There's something I'd like to show you all." Bakura said

As they watched the M. Ring appeared around his neck. Each of them were shocked to see he had an item but nothing prepared them for what was to come as each of their souls was taken from their bodies and put in their cards. Their bodies fell as they closed their eyes.

"Now, I can take what I need." He said as he reached for the puzzle and the bracelet. Only he couldn't touch them as they both glowed and the spirits locked within each item took over rising to stand against him.

Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen’s adventures pt. 1

5,000 years ago, lived a powerful Pharaoh and Queen who was loved by the people. This Powerful couple worked together to lock the dark shadow games away. They had a successor to the throne but they also had three others who were very young during their passing. Millennium items that belonged to this Pharaoh and Queen were locked away split between Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. The Pharaoh's soul was locked within the Millennium Puzzle while the Queen's soul was split, part of her soul went in her item while the other half was somewhere else.

5,000 years after their deaths, the other half of the Queen's soul was returned to the land of the living. She was reborn as Brittney Marie Petrova, with a twin sister named Brianna Lynn Petrova, she also had an older brother named Aiden Mathew Petrova and a younger sister named Nanaoko Marie Petrova. As a small child she would only play with her twin as her younger sister was only a few, by the time she was six things were changing. She started sleep walking, it happened to be around one of these sleep walking times that Solomon Motou was coming to Egypt to play the Shadow Game of the Nameless Pharaoh. Many know the tale of how Solomon did but this story is a bit different. As he reached the end coming to the bridge that was connecting to where the treasure was, he was in shock. He saw Britt laying on the ground of where the box was, but the box was in her hands. He had to make his way to her gently knowing one wrong move he would be sent into the shadows. He almost slipped and fell in the shadows but something or rather someone helped him up.

"I've been waiting for you." He said as he helped up Solomon.

When Solomon woke up he thought it was all a dream but he made his way over carefully picking up the six-year-old girl and the box. He wondered how she got in Valley of the Kings and made it past all the traps. It was clear the girl must have been sleep walking as she was still asleep. Solomon took her back to her parents as he handed her to max.

"Solomon, I can't thank you enough for finding her." Max said

"Yes, I'm sure but why was she in valley of the kings?" Solomon asked

"That is something I'm not sure." Max answered him

When Britt was eight, she went out with her mother and sister to play as she was getting all fine. They were going to a park that Egypt had to play with others, when Bre and Britt were running in front of their mother they suddenly bumped into a man wearing robes. The two girls looked up at him and at first it seemed as if he wasn't going to say anything but then he saw Britt's facial features and he recognized her as Queen Brittania, the Queen from 5,000 years ago. Angela had come over and had her girls come over to her as they went and stood in front of their mother.

"I'm sorry for my daughters." Angela said

"No, it Is I who should have seen them. They are just children." Shadi said as he kneeled down and showed respect. "Forgive me Miss, but your daughter here. She is the Queen returning to the land of the living."

Britt and Bre looked at each other before looking back at him "Which one?" They asked at the same time. "I'm Bre and this is Britt." Bre said

Shadi looked at them clearly in surprise because the nickname Britt, Queen Brittania was also called Queen Britt because she liked that better.

Angela wanted to hear more so she invited Shadi back to the house, there once back in their home she asked him to explain as they were sitting in the living room. Shadi didn't say much at first as he took a look around seeing he was in the home of archeologists.

"Your daughter, Britt. She is a reincarnation of a very powerful Queen come back to find her lost love." Shadi started which made Angela and Max look at each other since it'd been two years since Britt had been to Valley of the Kings.

"Please Continue." Max said to him wanting to know more.

"I along with others have been waiting for the return of a Pharaoh who locked a dark magic away a long time ago. It is said when the Queen appears, the Pharaoh will not be far behind. Your daughter has a destiny coming she cannot run from." Shadi said

Britt and Bre were whispering to each other about what he was saying. To them since they were eight it didn't make no sense. Max on the other hand remembered the treasure that Solomon had from the nameless Pharaoh's tomb. He wondered if that was part of it.

"Tell me, has your daughter had any weird behavior within the last three years?" Shadi asked

"Well, she used to sleep walk when she was six. But she hasn't done it since then." Angela said

"I believe the answer you seek will be known when the Millennium Bracelet is found. If she truly is the Queen then that item will hold some answers." Shadi said

Other than that brief moment he didn't stay long. Britt and her family didn't give a lot of thought on it but Britt was trying to become a duelist after that. She built a deck and would duel her brother but she'd always lose. She felt she was missing something but she didn't know exactly what she could be missing. About a few months later her father found a rare card for her, one called Goddess of the Nile. He felt it was important so he bought it for her and when he got home he handed it to her.

"Here Britt, here's a card that might help your deck." Max said

Britt took the card and looked at it "Oh wow thank you daddy." Britt said to him as she smiled.

After receiving the Goddess of the Nile, she reconstructed her deck. It took time and effort, she'd duel against her brother and always lose but she made modifications to her deck. When she reached the age of twelve her brother had been in the tournament for Egypt, and he'd became the champ. She wasn't surprised in the least but she less wanted to duel with him. So, she started dueling with Bre, who'd built a fire deck mixed with fire types and Dragons. The girls loved each other as twins could but they always kept their opinions to themselves. Truly the only way they could be told apart was their eyes and their highlights, as Britt had violet eyes and purple highlights and Bre had blue eyes and blue highlights. Their younger sister was ten around this time and had Green eyes with Black hair w/green tips.

Aiden started to resent Britt for being the one their parents would show attention to. Maybe it was because of what Shadi had told them and they were trying to figure out how to avoid her destiny. They'd kept her in Egypt her childhood. Though Angela and Max knew Britt had always been treated differently than most of the kids, because all the kids had learned she'd gone to Valley of the Kings and came back unharmed.

School was never an issue she'd go do her homework and then walk home. Sometimes the kids would bully her and she'd get a few scrapes and bruises but it was to be expected. Truly the kids didn't understand it all and maybe that was what bugged them the most that they didn't know how she could get to Valley of the Kings and still be alive. If anyone ever asked Britt she didn't remember a thing about it except a voice but she never mentioned that part, her only answer was she didn't remember.

Bullies and people who were scared didn't stop her, she'd kept practicing her dueling skills and when the next tournament came before her Sixteenth Birthday she entered to show them. The day before the tournament was to start her parents had found it, the Millennium Bracelet that the man in robes had talked about. It had been located in Valley of the Queens, in a Queens tomb. They'd put it in their room of artifacts to keep it from Britt. Only sadly her and her siblings got very curious and went in there. They looked at it all but Britt was drawn to the bracelet, she reached out for it picking it up and she tried it on. It glowed since it was meant to be with her.

"It's cute." She thought as she tried to get it off.

The bracelet wouldn't come off and she knew then the start of her destiny would be soon. Not paying much attention to the fact she'd have to keep it on she wore it the entire tournament. Never having to worry much, but when it came to the finals it was her brother and her against each other. Shadi was in the crowd watching waiting to see if he was right about her. Britt had improved her dueling skills and when it came to her final Duel Monster she summoned her Goddess.

"Now, Goddess of the Nile. Attack with Nile Septar blast!" Britt yelled as the final attack was made.

"So, it begins, she has the item and the card of the Queen." Shadi said

Destiny comes in different ways pt. 1

Sunny days were common in Cairo, Egypt as were the usual with most things. Cairo High was a sophisticated school that pride itself on housing some of noble blood connected to the day of the Pharaohs and Queens. As usual some of high society were walking in the halls. Each had their own clicks of things from populars to geeks but they all were under the same school.

For two young girls their lives would change following todays events. Britt Petrova was your usual teenage girl except her family descend ended from a royal bloodline and she had a strict grandfather who liked to keep with the old ways. Everyone always told her she looked the spitting image of her ancestor Nile Princess Brittania whose tale was known but since Brittania was married to the nameless Pharaoh there were secrets hidden. Britt always shrugged it off till the day Brittania's item was found and she tried it on. When someone tried to take the bracelet off of her they would only get shocked and she'd been told for years she was Brittania's reincarnation but had never believed it.

Nubia Stone was one of the populars but she never acted above her other classmates. She tried being nice with everyone except those she felt would tarnish her reputation. Anyone who was connected to the ancient times she wanted to be close to so she tried to get close to Britt. She knew the girl was nice but also knew after defeating her brother that anyone who was anyone wanted to be the girls friend. As expected from one who descends from Pharaohs and Queens she saw the girl didn't befriend just anyone but of course she thought Britt's friends Nina, Olivia, Zoey, Heather and Miranda were losers.

"Everyone please report to the Auditorium." The announcer said on the PA.

As everyone went to the Auditorium Britt sat with her group as she didn't like the idea that everyone wanted to be her friend over her win. They weren't her real friends who liked her before winning the tournament. As all the students were soon there and sitting the principal took the mic.

"Welcome students I am sure you all are wonder why we have called you to the auditorium." The Principal said as he saw nods "Well our school decided to be apart of a student exchange program. We find it will be educational for any of you to learn about a new country."

What could we learn? Britt thought

"We already went about drawing names before the assembly. Please when I call your name head out the door and a driver will take you home to pack. Your parents have been contacted to already prepare your belongings for the next six months to one year of the program. We will provide you with a way to afford things in this new country along with your parents have had the option to figure out your living conditions with our partnering school for the program if your parents haven't decided then you'll be staying with a student of the schools choice." The Principal said

Everyone was just looking and waiting in anticipation except Britt who knew her parents had a good connection. Zoey looked intense by her and she broke her bored look to smile and snicker a little. It was hilarious to her that everyone was so caught up in the program.

"Brittney Petrova and Nubia Stone, you are representing this school so please head out and go prepare for your long flight tonight." The Principal said

Britt was shocked that she was chosen and Nubia was actually interested in going. Nubia had always wanted to meet Seto Kaiba and Yugi Motou but to know she was going with the girl she wanted to be friends with made her happy. Britt sighed as she got up at the same time as Nubia and headed out.

I didn't ask to be chosen. Britt thought

There were teachers who gave them each a slip and Britt looked at it surprised.

We're going to Domino City, Japan. Britt thought
