I've been reading your work for a while now and the way you write for Mammon is amazing, you're definitely my favourite writer for him. So I was wondering if you aren't too busy if could you please write breakup headcanons for mammon

- Okay, first of all, how dare you?

- He is, the Mammon. You don't just decide when things are over!

- You were smart enough to break it off with him over text, rather than in person, because he absolutely would throw a scene. No matter where you are, public or private. Think Sarah Lynn level shit.... like, literally stabbing himself, in public, to prove a point.

- What is the point? That he loves you!

- He's especially pissed off about the fact that you broke it off with him though. It bruised his ego, he would much, much prefer it if he had been the one to have broken up with you. He would have never done that though.

- He would go through the five stages of grief 100%

- For the first few days he's in DEEP denial about it. He'd go about life as though the two of you were still together, even though you weren't there.

- Pretending that you were on a work trip or something really helped. It gave him a sense of hope that one day you'd return to him, and he'd feel your warm body embraced against his once again.

- But you and Mammon were a big public thing, like, everyone knew about you. So, people started to notice your absence. Where you would always be by his side now bore an empty pocket of air. People started questioning it;

- From simple posts online to 666News interviews asking him invasive questions regarding your lack of publicity. It pissed him right off, because he couldn't pretend you were still with him whilst constantly being reminded that you weren't.

- And then you spoke up about the breakup.

- You made a Tweet regarding the status of your relationship. Que the next stage...

- With the world now aware of your distanced status Mammon was bombarded with crude comments and remarks, from your fans and haters, to his fans and haters. It'd range from "Wow Mammon fumbled the bag hard." to "Now that Mammon is single do you think he'll start letting groupies backstage ?"

- He actually refused to show up to a lot of interviews and talk-shows because every single time theu brought up the headline, he would get so, so angry. He's almost torn through an interviewer once or twice.

- His bargaining phase was the absolute worst phase though.

- Thousands of calls a day, and an equal level of voice messages followed by hundreds of texts. You'd block his number and then BAM, another number calls you. He manipulates the phone manufacturer of Hell to give him an unlimited free supply of phones so expect him to not let up in that department.

- You know that meme where the person is stood outside the door, crying, with an umbrella over their head and fake rain over them. That's him.

- He gets Beelzebub to provide the fake rain and probably prepared a whole speech to recite to you... its not that good though, most of it is deflective bullshit. He wont take his own problems into account at all.

- If you don't take him back after that then he may even resort to the old boombox by the window trick.

- I don't think he'd hit the depression or acceptance stages of grief, though. He's a tempermental character and he resorts to anger if something doesn't go his way. So the traits he shows through this whole ordeal is frustration and desperation.

- He has a strict victim complex too. So he's most likely never going to understand what he did wrong in the relationship.

- Even if he did realise what he did however, he isn't apologising. He expects you to understand and forgive him despite this.

-It would take him a long while to get over you.

-You were one of the only people who would put up with his shitty personality, who could make him feel so loved and adored. It had been a long, long time since someone had made him feel such a way. It was such a fleeting experience, and he will not be recovering from the loss of your love any time soon.

If you're on the task force and the two of you can't leave base he'd take you out at night to just talk and watch the night sky, cold or hot it doesn't matter, he'll just gear up on whatever weather it is and get you stuff as well.

If you're on the task force but can leave base then you two would just go to the nearby town or village, with him, of course, wearing something to cover his face, and going to the lakes or watch some dogs and have a nice talk.

If it's post 141 then you two would just stay at his place and watch or read together with his dog. But if that isn't your jam then you two would go on a jog with his dog with the both of you seeing who was the faster one.

Soaps dated in the past and has had many breakups in his life so he is wholly prepared once he first hears about it from you, he heard rumors but he didn’t want to speculate anything until you told him yourself.

If you’re part of the task force and you both are unable to leave base he’d get you both training and exercising together until you both lay on the floor and just talk, he’d let you vent and tell him woes and be quiet and listen to what you have to say, if not he’ll just speak for the both of you.

If you’re part of the task force and can leave base he’d get you and the rest of the team out for some drinks and darts, he knows your upset about it, and instead of letting it affect you he tries and get you distracted, just for a little bit.

If it’s post 141 then he’d make a pillow fort (not like a boring one he actually goes way above and beyond for this) get your favorite shows or movies set up and get you some takeout and watch what you want together. He won’t care nor judge you for whatever you watch, hell he’d watch Barbie's dream house if it meant he’d be helping you feel better.

Captain John Price

This guy has also been through a lot of breakups, he’ll out of these 3 he’s the wisest when it comes to breakups.

In all of his breakups he never really got much support other than a pat on the back and a “That sucks”, and he doesn’t want that for you, after all, he sees you as one of his own.

Regardless of your gender, he feels as though you deserve support from him. Sure he may be an old man who isn’t that informed on modern-day lingo and norms but he tries to give you the support he would’ve wanted. 

If you’re part of the task force and can’t leave base then he would tell you some stories from back when he was just joining the army, stories that he hasn’t told the others, while it may seem insignificant the fact that he’s telling you these stories first is so that you know you can trust him with whatever it is you need help with (not with animals though, he’s not the best when it comes to them) depending on how close the two of you are will depend on the stories he tells you. 

Now if it's post 141 this man would take you fishing like the old man he is, sure it might not be the most exciting thing you might learn some new things, such as new bait or what rods work best (Look I don't know fishing terms so that's the best I got). But if you weren't into that then he would take you to a quiet but cozy restaurant and have a day just for the two of you.

I go back and forth about it. Lately I've been thinking of a situation where Karolina would be the one to say it out loud after Shiv danced around it for a while. I think Shiv is afraid to label anything between them because it'll give her license to cheat or be generally awful. And I think Karolina needs there to be clarity and needs to draw a clear line where one is necessary. So she'd be straight forward and be like, "Hey. I like you and this feels like it's mutual. What are we doing."

14) what’s the thing they miss most about each other?

My personal HC is that they break up "for good" when Shiv finds out she's pregnant, and Karolina is the one to do it.

At this point, what Shiv misses the most is just having someone around whose intentions she can trust. In a more impractical sense, she misses the comfort of having Karolina physically around. She wasn't prepared for how instinctively she found herself aching for her specifically. More than once she finds herself scrolling through past text conversations contemplating asking her what she's up to. But that's not good for anybody, so she puts her phone away and prays for sleep.

Karolina misses the familiarity and the feeling of being understood. Not having to explain her crazy work hours, or the insane things she does on a daily basis, pausing mid conversation to answer a call--She misses Shiv's wit, how she fights through her own sharp edges to find a bit of softness and be comfortable there. She even begins to miss their fights, and that's when she knows maybe it's time to call some friends.

Firstly, eren doesn't even consider you guys to be actually broken up, he’s convinced. you’re just screwing with him or playing hard to get. Even once he realizes you're not, the breakup is still completely one sided. He loves you far too much to even fathom that the relationship is over. He’s already planned your entire future together–he's been doing so since he first met you, from the house you'll live in together to the garter you'll be wearing on your wedding day.  In short, he’s delusional when it comes to you, head over heels or do he likes to call it and for this reason he still goes around telling everyone you're his. 

Everyone around him, including his friends is obviously taken aback by this and so they sort of just play along, listening to him rant   about you the moment he’s gotten enough alcohol in his system. This happens  at every get together they have had since the breakup.  “she’s just confused and going through a tough time right now. She doesn't know that she wants me,” he’ll say anytime he hears about you having moved on with anyone else.  If anyone even has the courage to challenge his statements he has the habit of angrily shutting them down. “Shut the hell up, you don't know anything about our relationship.” 

He spends the first few days blowing up your phone with texts about how much he loves you and that though your relationship has had its ups and downs – him being the one who’s mostly responsible for the downs, you guys will get through it as you always had if you just keep trying. When he received no response ,he changed his approach, no longer attempting to convince you to stay but now begging you to come back  home. “Come back to me please..” he’ll bombard your voicemail inbox with pleas and sob stories about how he hasn't slept because he misses holding you each night. 

 Weeks or even months  will pass since the break up itself, and every second of  his time he uses to  reach out to you, whether it's through phone calls or text. You better believe he's taking time to check up on you to see how you're doing–most  importantly, what you're doing and who you're with. He wants to make sure you're safe and not in the hands of any trouble or anyone he considers trouble. He has a habit of speaking with you as though you two are still together, ending many conversations with  “i love you.” and “hope to see you soon.” When he isn't reaching out to you he's thinking about you or talking to you about whatever poor soul is forced to listen. 

When he hears it from you that you’ve moved on to someone else, his heart shatters.  He had been able to deny and ignore the reality when he heard it from others but now that it was coming from you he had lost the energy to keep pretending to be okay with how things were, he feels as though you’re betraying him. In his eyes you were cheating by being with another.  Still, he doesn't make it known then and there, instead he responds with. “He can't love you the way I do.” and beyond that point he stops reaching out, and waits for you to come running back. 

 You'll learn the hard way that he was right  when you are riding back to his place drunk with tears running down your cheeks because you caught the very person you’d moved onto cheating on you with another girl. Once you two arrive, he carries you into the apartment where the two of you had  shared many memories together, because you are too drained from the events of the day to walk. He takes off your makeup using the makeup remover you’d ‘left behind’ when you moved out. Really, he stole it out of your things, along with other items because he was certain you’d come back to him under such circumstances. 

 He takes you into his arm, holding you so close and so tight to him because he’s afraid that you’ll leave him again as  you cry in his arms. “Don't know what i was thinking” his fingers stroke your hair.  “You weren't. but you should have known better.”  eren isn't too interested in giving you his sympathy because he feels he’s the one been betrayed the most here. If only you hadn't run off with someone else, none of this would be happening.

HOW THEY HANDLE BREAK-UPS

note - jujutsu kaisen, possible angst? not an x reader, just some headcannons!

MEGUMI was in a long term relationship with a girl he really liked. the girl he was dating had found someone new and left megumi. everyday since the breakup, he spends his days cooped up in his room after classes. his room remains tidy because once he’s in his bed, he doesn’t move. he thinks a lot about how he could’ve been better and what he should’ve done to make her stay. nonetheless, he doesn’t make a big deal about the break-up despite being left for someone else. he tells everyone that he’s fine and not to worry about it because it’s a normal part of life but deep down he is hurt about it but he believes that’s just how life goes.

ITADORI doesn’t dwell on the situation and gets over it pretty quickly. he loved his girlfriend and he was open about this but him loving her isn’t the equivalent to being IN love with her. his relationship had been ongoing for 3 months and everything seemed like it was going well. the last week of their relationship, they both started to drift from each other which caused petty arguments and speculations, so he officially broke it off with her. he was sad for a little bit but of course, todo got him back on his feet. soon enough he was back to his normal self, he isn’t rushing into a new relationship or anything but he is back to thirsting over jennifer lawrence.

NANAMI will do whatever it takes to get his woman back. whoever he settled down with is who he wants to marry. i don’t believe that nanami would have made the decision to end things with his partner but he will be the one trying to fix things. he is too much of a gentlemen to be broken up with in my eyes but i believe his girlfriend would have broken up with him because of his lack of ability to express his emotions. she probably felt like he had a lot going on and a lot of stress with work that he never shared with her that made her feel like nanami couldn’t talk to her, so she believed he needed to find someone he could talk to. after the attempt to break up with nanami he goes in depth and gives explicit details about his day and things going on in his mind and he makes sure not to make the same mistake twice.

GOJO is not cool about it at all. he blocks her on everything but still stalks her from a burner account. he tries going on dates and having hookups to detach himself from her. they probably broke up because he doesn’t spend as much time with her as she’d like, although gojo has explained he has a fulltime job and students who are basically his children that he trains after working his fulltime job and she doesn’t buy any of it and ends up breaking up with him over it. gojo talks about her to his students whenever the chance is granted to them which causes them to grumble and groan. on the bright side, he ends up getting a lot of advice from them as well which helps him get over it.
